Episode # 10287; Tape Date: 3/13/06;
Air Date: 4/6/06; Director: Jim Baffico

Summary: Belle continues to “run into” Shawn…Bonnie offers Mimi advice on how to hang onto her man…Austin makes one final play for Carrie…Carrie gives Lucas an answer…Bo and Billie put Chelsea in her place…as she gets just a small taste of what she deserves.

At the Loft…Shawn and Mimi are kissing and fall to the sofa. Across the hall, Belle is restless and can hear them moaning and groaning through the vents (as she has flashbacks of bursting in on them at the cabin). She says she has really lost him. Afterward, Mimi and Shawn bask in the afterglow as he tells her how much he loves her. He has flashbacks of talking to Bo about doing the little things to please a woman and gets up and gets dressed and leaves. Mimi wakes up to find him gone and wonders where he went. He goes to the mailbox to mail some letters and notices an open man hole in the street. Belle comes along (is she stalking him?) and almost falls in the hole. But Shawn saves her. Bonnie (who is out walking Max) tells him that they have a problem. Shawn comforts Belle and they sit to talk. She tells him that she couldn’t sleep as they talk briefly about Marlena’s wedding and John trying to shoot Alex. Belle apologizes for interrupting his honeymoon by coming to him for help, when she should have turned to Philip.

Bonnie goes upstairs to find Mimi in the hall and tells her that Shawn is with Belle. She urges her to teach Belle a lesson and whispers instructions to her. Mimi can’t believe what she tells her and asks if she really thinks that sex is the solution to everything. But Bonnie tells her to try it. Bonnie tells her that SHE has the ring and possession is 9/10 of the law. Mimi suspects he still loves Belle, but Bonnie talks about how it is possible to love 2 people, and cites her situation with Mickey & Maggie as an example. She tells Mimi to just relax, she has the ring…and before long, Shawn will be asking “Belle who?” On the bench, Belle denies that she is upset over Mimi and says she just wants Shawn to be happy. He goes to leave and tells her that he was going to get Mimi flowers. She thinks that is a sweet idea and decides to tag along to get flowers for Philip. Later, they return to the loft and say their good nights. Mimi steps out of the apartment and asks what is going on. He tells her that he went out and got food for breakfast and got her flowers and they kiss. She says she has the best husband in the world and they go inside. Bonnie (who was taking this all in) says that’s my girl…give your man what he needs. They go inside and begin kissing.

Carrie & Austin…are up on the roof as he wants to talk to her about how they belong together. He plugs in the lights and talks about how much they used to love it up there (as she has flashbacks of them dancing on the roof). Austin can tell it is affecting her as well and says he knows she wants the same thing. But she says what they had is over and they have moved on. She informs him that she is going to accept Lucas’ proposal, but Austin doesn’t think she is being honest with herself, but she talks about wanting a family. Austin says he wants the same…with her. But she has a flashback of her talk with Lexie and tells him that there is no way that they could ever have children together. He asks why, but she says it just isn’t meant to be, even though Austin is sure that they still love each other. He presses her for an explanation but she says she is marrying Lucas. He says he can’t accept it and questions her sudden change of heart about Lucas. He says he can’t lose her. She says she is sorry, but she is in love with Lucas. Austin says he does want her to be happy, even if it means marrying his brother. She hopes he can find someone as well and asks if that someone could be Sami (as he rolls his eyes). Carrie talks about how she cares about both of them and wants them happy. Austin just thinks that Carrie is feeling guilty but she says she thinks that Austin brings out the best in Sami. But Austin says that Sami and Lucas belong together, but maybe he and Sami should try to build a life together.

In Sami’s Apartment…Kate barges in as she and Sami begin to argue about Austin. Sami threatens to call her dad to have Kate thrown out, but Kate vows to keep Sami away from Austin. They continue to argue as Kate grabs her yelling for Sami to shut up. Kate tells Sami she isn’t going to win and that Austin will never want her. Sami reminds her that she and Lucas would be married right now if not for Kate’s interference. Kate recounts all of Sami’s misdeeds (throwing Stan in her face) as Sami starts yelling for Kate to get out. They get into a shoving match, just as Austin walks in and breaks it up. He tells Kate to leave and stay out of his personal life. Kate swears that she is only trying to protect him but he tells her to just leave Sami alone. Kate pleads her case, but he doesn’t want to hear it. She tries to remind Austin of all that Sami has done to him, but he says that Sami has changed…he has as well. He thinks that maybe they should spend time together and see what happens…as Kate almost faints. Kate says he is only doing this to spite her, but he says no, he thinks that maybe even he and Sami should start dating, maybe they can make it. This time, Kate starts hyperventilating and DOES faint.

Across the hall…Lucas comes home with flowers, after closing a big deal, and wants to celebrate. He finds a note from Carrie, promising him an answer soon. Will comes in and asks if Carrie has given him an answer yet, as Lucas tells him no, but soon. He tells Will he is hoping for a yes and asks for his blessing. But Will had been hoping that Lucas and Sami would get back together. Lucas tells him that he and Sami just weren’t meant to be. They sit and talk as Lucas tries to explain about marriage. He says that a marriage is supposed to last forever, but it takes sacrifice. Will is skeptical but Lucas says he and Sami just couldn’t work things out. Will doesn’t understand…if he and Sami truly loved each other, whey couldn’t they make it work. Lucas tells him that he loved Sami, but it takes more than that…you need trust and that is something he and Sami didn’t have. Will makes a cutting remark about Sami, but Lucas stops him and reminds him that she is his mother and that some people can work out problems and stay together…citing Alice & Tom as well as Caroline & Shawn. Will asks if Lucas really loves Carrie and he says yes (as Carrie is listening at the door). Will says then, he hopes she says yes. Carrie walks in as Will is leaving and Lucas says that they have time along (Will is going to Arthur’s) and presents her with the flowers. She tells him she has something to tell him. She picks up the ring and says she is ready to give him an answer…and the answer is yes. Lucas is ecstatic and hugs her as they kiss.

At the Brady house…Chelsea is thrilled that her plan is working and goes into the house, asking what is going on. They tell her Hope has asked Bo for a divorce as she has flashbacks of talking with Kate. She plays sympathetic and says it is all her fault and how sorry she is. Bo tells her he doesn’t want to hear this and to cut out the fake tears. He knows she is thrilled that he and Hope are apart. He says he knows she doesn’t want Hope around for the trial and continues to rail her out. He says he has been too easy on her but things are now going to change. He says maybe going to prison is just what she needs to learn her lesson. He tells her she needs to stop lying and grow up and take responsibility. She turns to Billie, but she says Bo is right…she is selfish and it has to stop. She can’t believe what she is hearing and storms out, slamming the door. Billie tells Bo he did the right thing. Bo just hopes it wasn’t too little, too late. Chelsea is tromping along crying and falls in to the open man hole (that Shawn and Belle saw earlier). Billie tells Bo not to feel bad for how he treated Chelsea, but he says she was upset and wants to look for her, but Billie stops him. We see Chelsea lying on the ground in the sewer (where she belongs, IMO)…as the previews show…

Kate (to Sami): I don’t know how you did it, but somehow, you got Carrie to choose Lucas over Austin, didn’t you?...

Lucas and Carrie kissing as she and Austin stare at each other…

Bo (to Billie): All I can do is hope that she changes her mind before she starts the divorce proceedings…

Patrick (to Hope): You’re an incredibly amazing woman…Bo’s a fool to let you go (as they kiss)…

And the credits roll…
