Dear Early Edition Readers:

It is with heavy hearts and great sorrow that we announce that Friday's Early Edition was the final EARLY EDITION for us. As long time followers remember, we started our day ahead spoilers over ten years ago when we started posting on discussion boards, Dustin’s website and then got our own permanent home. Over the years, we have enjoyed hearing from so many of you from around the world as to how our summaries kept you abreast of our Salemites' storylines. Unfortunately, the time has come and we have unanimously decided to say goodbye. Unlike when we started the day ahead summaries, today’s technology with DVR’s/TIVOs and lots of other DOOL websites and recaps on the internet, it has become easier for anyone to record or read what’s going on without us. We appreciate all of your accolades about our thoroughness in reporting the storylines, but that thoroughness means, rising earlier, a few hours of watching, typing up and posting…time that we just can’t spare anymore. To be honest, the storylines aren’t grabbing our attention that much anymore either, and even we aren’t always watching when it’s not our own day to do a summary. We want to say thanks to Jenn, the webmaster of the SALEM PLACE DISCUSSION BOARD for providing an alternate site for posting our summaries over the years. We’ve all made many friends there and will continue to frequent her site. We also thank Dustin for posting our summaries in the earlier days and for continuing to provide links to both Early Edition and Salem Place Discussion Board on his site. So, friends and fans…thank you very much for visiting our site over the years…it’s been a blast! Please don’t email asking for us to change our minds, because we won’t. We’ve removed our email addresses from the site as well. We’ll leave the site up for reference to our archives.And last but not least…NO, this is not an April Fool’s joke…sadly, this is for real. Sometimes, LIFE just happens! Thanks to all of you...you have made it all worthwhile. For the show (as well as the actors and crew) that brought us all together, we wish continued success in the future.

This Is Really Disappointing, Your Site By FAR Had The Best Layout..

Lucky Americans Have Easy Access With TiVos And DvdR Recorders On Most Cable Boxes, Guess Us Canadians Need To Catch Up, Now I Gotta Pick Thru The Loooooong Overwritten Ones.

I will miss your site!!! You all have done such a wonderful job and helped us working gals keep up with the show. I used to tape and watch in the evening and take 2 hours to watch because I would fall asleep so have always been so happy to have found your site. Enjoy your free time!!!

Sob We are so going to miss you guys. Not only did I feel that your write-ups were actually better than the show itself- I'm actually going to miss your writing period. You each had your own unique style and I for one appreciated them all. I agree that Days just isn't the same. Story lines that drag out for years..sigh.. Even with life imitating art nobody can keep such major secrets that long. Especially not in such a small town.. lol. I want to echo other's sentiments in saying thank you for all the hard work and time you put into such a great site. You guys have kept us Aussies up to date for years. We are always 10-12 months behind you guys - at one stage we were 4 years behind and in their wisdom our network just chopped that out and started again so there are great chunks we just haven't seen. Thanks for your time and effort - it has been gargantuan and we really appreciate it..... Too bad you are finishing but thanks for the years.....

I will miss this site and thank these wonderful woman for the work they did in keeping us updated. I used to use the site because I was like a kid waiting to see what happened before it did but sadly these days it was to see what was going on with the show since I no longer watch it regularly. I can understand their decision and hope they know how much we all appreciated the work they did and the people they are for caring so much.

I meant to email you before to tell you Thank You, but I just didn't get around to it. See, my sister is a big Days fan, and sadly, she is also an alcoholic who had to spend two years in a Texas Prison for her DWI's. I would print out your weekly summaries and mail them to her so she could keep up with the story line and had something to do. She wasn't able to watch Days in prison. Anyway, she looked forward to your summaries every week. She is out now and doing well. Sober and happy. Anyway, I would really like to thank you.

I am so sorry to see this site go but completely understand the need to spend more time with you families and what not. I will really miss it. I have been checking out the "Prevuz" site that you guys recommended and no offense but I hate it! They rip so much on everyone that you don't know sometimes what is truly happening on the show. I loved the little digs that you guys did but what they do is just way too much!

I've been reading Dustin's website for a little bit more then 10 years now, and somedays I used to be sooo excited to know the next day's storylines. Unfortunately, my time watching days has changed.
