Summary: Kayla urges Max to go for it with Abby…while Jack orders Abby to stay away from Max…EJ is devastated over Sami’s news, but Celeste is sure he is playing her…Philip and Kate question Gabby about Shawn and Belle, but she protects them.
On the plane…They talk about what happened as Kayla says she now has the proof she needs and they toast burying EJ Wells. He talks about how much he misses Frankie and how he is lost without him around. Kayla can identify, saying she felt the same as when she lost Steve. Max jokes that Frankie is NOT the love of HIS life. He talks about finding that someone special and Kayla asks if that could be Abby Deveraux. Max is a bit embarrassed about it but Kayla thinks Abby could be good for him. She asks about Mimi and he says they have both moved on. He talks about how he has never felt this way before and it’s a bit scary, but Abby is different. He talks about how he screwed up other relationships but Kayla assures him that he will be okay. He talks about how innocent Abby is, but Kayla says taking it slow is a good thing. He is only afraid he may break her heart. She tells him that he needs to go to Abby and tell her everything but he is unsure. An announcement is made that the plane will be landing at JFK in 15 minutes. Kayla says it’s his decision…he can stay on the plane with his sister…or he can go and find the love of his life.
At her Hotel…
The new Abby (played by Emily Montegue) is on the phone talking about how wonderful her trip is (not sure who with) when there is a knock at the door and she opens it to be surprised by her dad, yes, it’s Jack. She hugs him, telling him she loves him. He talks about meeting some singer in the elevator (acting like he didn’t know who it was) and we learn it was Gwen Stefani. He even got her autograph. Jack offers a carriage ride in the park, but Abby thinks that may be for lovers. Jack says, speaking of that, he talked to her Aunt Maggie and knows about Max. He isn’t too happy about it, but Abby swears they are just hanging out and having fun. Jack wants to know what KIND of fun, but then decides he doesn’t want to know. She swears it’s innocent and says she knows about Max’s past and that is just what it is…his past. Jack tries to discourage her but she is determined that Max is the one. He says he and Jennifer talked about it and both agree, they want her to get her education…and it’s not just Max, but don’t want her distracted by any guy. They want her to enjoy her college life. Abby says if it will make them happy, then she promises that Max will not interfere with her education. They hug and then decide to go down to Times Square as Jack goes to change. Abby gets a phone call from Max asking about her trip. She talks about how her and her dad are having a great time. He tells her about taking a trip with Kayla and they had a layover at JFK. Abby is a bit bummed that he was in New York and didn’t see him. Just then, there is a knock at the door and she opens it to find him standing there. She is excited to see him and they hug, but then she tells him he has to go, because her dad will think she planned it this way. Too late…Jack is at the door knocking.
On the Island…Philip questions Gabby as Shawn watches and listens nearby. Kate is there as well, complaining about having to hitch a ride on a chicken truck (as she brushes away feathers, lol). Philip shows Gabby a picture of Belle and Shawn, but Gabby says she hasn’t seen them. Kate and Philip talk about checking elsewhere as Shawn sneaks back up to the room and warns Belle that they have to get out of there. They rush around packing as Belle worries that it all depends on what Gabby tells them. Gabby covers for Shawn and Belle, but Philip isn’t convinced. Kate goes to the bar to help herself to a drink and finds a teething ring. Gabby makes up a story about a neighbor kid, but Philip calls her a liar. Belle and Shawn continue t pack as Shawn says he can distract them if she and Claire make a getaway. And he will join them later, but she refuses to be separated from him. Philip grabs Gabby and shakes her demanding the truth as she finally calls him a jerk and tells them that yes, Belle, Shawn and Claire were there, but they are gone now. Kate has to drag Philip away from her as Gabby continues to tell them that Shawn and Belle are gone. Shawn has sneaked back downstairs to see what is going on as Gabby whips out the ring and shows it to Philip, telling him that they left it with her as payment on their debt. Upstairs, Belle remembers that she never got her ring back. Gabby tells Philip that Shawn, Belle and Claire are long gone and there is his proof.
At Sami’s…A dejected EJ was so sure that he was the father and tells Sami that he is in shock. He talks about how he wanted to be a father so bad and has himself a pity party. She says she is only happy that he won’t be a part of her life and for him to just get over it. He tells her that it is her loss as well. She says that this is the best news she could have gotten and tells him she has things to do…like plan a wedding. EJ talks about how Stefano told him about Tony’s weakness for the ladies and he was determined that he wouldn’t make that mistake, but his feelings for Sami were real. She agrees that maybe once, long ago, she felt that way too, but not after she found out who he really was…and he shot John…and raped her. She says that now she knows Lucas is the father and they are done forever…and nothing will ever connect them again. EJ reminds her that if he hadn’t picked her up on that road, there would be no wedding, for Lucas would be dead. She only wants one thing from him…to forget that they ever made that deal. As they go to shake on it, he grabs her hand and kisses it, talking about what could have been. On his way out the door, he says she is the only woman in the world that could have made him into what she thought he was in the beginning. After he leaves, Celeste comes by. Sami tells her that EJ bought it, but Celeste says she doesn’t have a clue about what is going on. She says he played her like a violin but Sami thinks his feelings were genuine. Celeste says he was just playing her and she bought it. Sami says it is over now but Celeste says she is being foolish…it is only the beginning…she must either destroy EJ Wells or he will destroy her. She warns her to be afraid for her child. But Sami doesn’t want to hear it when Celeste warns her he will be back for her baby. Sami asks her to leave as Celeste tells her to consider it. Sami tells her he is out of her life now and she would prefer Celeste stay out of it as well as she slams the door.
Later, EJ is in a bar when Kayla calls him. She tells him she has been in Italy. He tries to get rid of her, but she tells him that she now has the proof to put him away forever…then she tells “Elvis” to enjoy his evening and hangs up. He rushes out of the bar. Kayla holds a picture of Steve, telling him that EJ will not hurt their family again.
At Chez Rouge…Nick is agonizing over his decision. Maggie asks him what is wrong and he tells her how a friend asked him to do something and he did, but now another friend is asking a favor, but he turned them down. He is upset because he didn’t help the second one. He says he could have, easily, but didn’t know if he should have. Maggie tells him that a true friend would never ask him to compromise his principles. Later he goes back to the lab, seeming to have made up his mind to take the brush. He argues with himself over it, but eventually goes on inside…only to find EJ at his work station. Nick goes to call security, but EJ takes the phone and not-so-subtly threatens to strangle him with the cord, then leaves as Nick gulps. In the hallway, EJ stops to place a call and leave a message for Lucas, saying he is a doctor at University Hospital. He says that he needs to come in…there was a problem with Samantha Brady’s amnio…as the previews show…
Philip (to Gabby): Which is why I am not leaving here until I know for a fact that you are telling the truth…
Lucas (to EJ): Why don’t you just get over it?... (EJ): Get over WHAT?... (Lucas): Your sick obsession with Sami, that’s what…
Sami (to Nick): There is NO WAY this baby is EJ’s…(Nick): No way?... (Sami): It is totally and completely impossible…
Steve (holding Kayla down): Stay away from those people…(Kalya): Get off me!...Stop it!...as he kisses her…
And the credits roll…

Dear Early Edition Readers:
It is with heavy hearts and great sorrow that we announce that today will be the final EARLY EDITION for us. As long time followers remember, we started our day ahead spoilers over ten years ago when we started posting on discussion boards, Dustin’s website and then got our own permanent home. Over the years, we have enjoyed hearing from so many of you from around the world as to how our summaries kept you abreast of our Salemites' storylines.
Unfortunately, the time has come and we have unanimously decided to say goodbye. Unlike when we started the day ahead summaries, today’s technology with DVR’s/TIVOs and lots of other DOOL websites and recaps on the internet, it has become easier for anyone to record or read what’s going on without us. We appreciate all of your accolades about our thoroughness in reporting the storylines, but that thoroughness means, rising earlier, a few hours of watching, typing up and posting…time that we just can’t spare anymore. To be honest, the storylines aren’t grabbing our attention that much anymore either, and even we aren’t always watching when it’s not our own day to do a summary.
We want to say thanks to Jenn, the webmaster of the SALEM PLACE DISCUSSION BOARD for providing an alternate site for posting our summaries over the years. We’ve all made many friends there and will continue to frequent her site. We also thank Dustin for posting our summaries in the earlier days and for continuing to provide links to both Early Edition and Salem Place Discussion Board on his site.
So, friends and fans…thank you very much for visiting our site over the years…it’s been a blast! Please don’t email asking for us to change our minds, because we won’t. We’ve removed our email addresses from the site as well. We’ll leave the site up for reference to our archives.
And last but not least…NO, this is not an April Fool’s joke…sadly, this is for real. Sometimes, LIFE just happens! Thanks to all of you...you have made it all worthwhile. For the show that brought us all together, we wish continued success in the future.
Sincerely,
Barb, Laney, Linda & Sandra
PS. On one final note:
We recommend another sight for very detailed day-ahead previews. Just be warned, if you are sensitive to your "favorites", no character is safe there...they are all lampooned on a daily basis. It is completely tongue in cheek and dripping with sarcasm, but personally, (I have a wicked sense of humor and) usually leave the site chuckling...sometimes LMAO! That aside, it is a very detailed write up and you may want to check it out:
http://www.prevuze.blogspot.com/
Also, if you are a "Marlena" fan...Bev does wonderful day-ahead previews and photos on the days that Marlena will be on the show (which, these days seems like hardly ever).

Kayla & Max complete their mission in Italy, as Shawn & Belle’s plan to leave runs into trouble and EJ pays a visit to Steve, and then one to Sami at her request.
IN ITALY, the priest & nun are in a hallway, when a man, obviously some kind of guard, puts a gun to the back of Max’s head. (Max & Kayla are wearing the garb of a priest & nun). He speaks to them in Italian, and Kayla responds back to him in Italian, saying they want to pray with Stefano. He takes out keys to open a door, with a big opaque glass window, on which are printed in big letters…..DIMERA. Max & Kayla hurriedly confer, with her saying she picked up a few phrases she thought they might need from an Italian-English dictionary at the airport, but does not know what the guard is saying. Now the guard comes out, saying in Italian that Stefano is sleeping. Kayla says something back, and now the guard reverts to English. Kayla tells him they are Americans and now Max does some doubletalk with an abracadabra thrown in….and manages to get the gun away from the guard, and has the drop on him. Kayla goes inside, and we see a bed with a big drape over the top, and a hand on the side with the phoenix ring on it. She flips the side of the drape open, and evidently is able to check the body, as she comments “Oh my God, it is true. If I ripped those stitches out, I would see a kidney with John Black’s name on it." Now she moves around, taking pictures with her camera phone. (Handy little things, aren’s they?). She makes sure she gets Stefano’s face in one shot, to prove who the person is, then begins to berate him, putting her hand on the wall plug, so the world would be rid of him and his evil. Nope, she can’t do it, his fate is in God’s hands. She leaves the room, Max puts the guard in a closet, dumps the gun in the trash, and they leave.
IN STEVE’S HOSPITAL ROOM, he is exercising when the door opens and in comes EJ, who is glad to see Steve trying to keep in shape. They exchange words, with Steve saying he is sick of being EJ’s whipping boy, and tells the squire, lol, that he knows what he did. Kayla told him that EJ tipped her off he was at Billie’s, and that EJ wanted to make sure Steve was back in the hospital. Now EJ surprises Steve by telling him the WHY of it all, adding that he got a call from Philip, who told him he thinks one of his men has found Shawn. He claims he is done with Steve, and from now on, Steve is on his own. EJ gets a phone call from Sami, and says he must go. Now EJ knocks on the door, the orderly opens and he is going out the door, turning to Steve and telling him to tell his wife to keep her nose out of his business, as he would hate for Steve to become a widower. The door closes, and Steve pounds on it. He is frantic, wanting Dr. Kraft, matter of life and death. She finally gets there, and Steve tells her he has to get in touch with his wife, immediately. Dr. Kraft leaves, then returns, saying she was unable to locate Kayla. No answer on her phone, and her office (Kayla has an office??? Wow!) said she was out of the country. That she had gone to Italy. Color Steve shocked!
In Sami’s apt. she is working on the fake lab report, as Celeste paces around. Sami is convinced she has made an excellent forgery, having had lots of previous practice (lol, for sure) but Celeste tells her it is not good enough. She again tells Sami there is only one way out for her and that is to get rid of EJ. Sami says no. Celeste tells her she should tell Lucas the truth, and he would understand. Sami admits that is possible, but too much time has passed. Celeste again is urging Sami to do away with EJ, but Sami says, no, no, no. She folds the lab report (which shows no sign of being crumpled up & previously and thrown in the trash) and inserts it into an envelope already addressed. (And one wonders about the stamp and postmark that should be on the envelope). She gets a paper cut, which Celeste claims is bad luck Celeste leaves, and Sami calls EJ to come over, saying the report has arrived, and she thinks they should look at it together. He arrives, she hands him the letter. He gives it back, saying she is the mother and should open it. She does, and gets teary eyed. He asks what is wrong, but there is nothing wrong, all is right. EJ is not the father. She says “you raped me, and are not the father”. EJ replies that he did not rape her, grabs the report, and says he was so sure, so sure, so sure. He crumples the report.
ON TINDA LAO, Shawn & Belle are still packing (one wonders how they accumulated so much stuff in the short time they arrived on the island with nothing). Shawn even packed the wrapper from an empty pkg of diapers (amazing the island has diapers when Belle is talking all the time about Claire having no one to play with) so that no trace of them being there will be left behind. He leaves to find a boat, and runs into Gabby in the hall, telling her they are leaving the island. He shows her the ring, asking her if she knows someone who would be willing to trade a boat for it. She will try, and Shawn leaves to tell Duck. Gabby knocks on the door, wanting to talk to Belle. She wonders why Belle wants to leave, and pulls out all the stops, talking about how she never had friends, and will hate to lose them. She mentions the letter that they wrote, and don’t they want to wait to hear from their parents. She finally gets Belle to admit that Duck had talked to her, and Gabby claims he makes up stories, because he just does not want to lose her. That he does the same when any guys her age happen to come there. Meanwhile, Shawn has been talking to Duck, who tells him he still owes him money, and cannot leave. Shawn returns to the room, but Gabby is wise to her dad, saying he just does not want to admit how much help Shawn has been. She leaves to see about the ring and boat trade, taking Claire’s teething ring to put in the freezer so it will stay cold. She goes down to the bar, a bit angry, and throws the teething ring down, picks up the phone to call “Cap”. She hears someone clearing their throat behind her, and lo, there is Philip! She finishes up her call, then asks if she can help him. We see Shawn coming, who quickly hides and listens, as Philip shows a picture of Shawn & Belle, telling Gabby that he is looking for 2 people who kidnapped his daughter, and has reason to believe they came to this island. He asks if she has seen them.
And the previews show…..
EJ to Sami: I don’t think you begin to understand. This is not just my loss, it is your loss, too.
Belle to Shawn: So it all depends on Gabby, someone we barely know. Our lives are in her hands, Shawn, do you realize that?
Philip, angrily shaking Gabby as Kate watches ….and yes, I said Kate!…..I swear, you’d better start talking. Gabby: Fine, fine, they’re here, you’re right.
Max (on a plane): So what you are trying to say is the love of my life is……

Summary: Chelsea turns to Nick for help…Max and Kayla make their way to Italy…Belle tries to convince Shawn that it’s time to leave Tinda Lao…and Steve starts trouble at the mental hospital.
On the island…Shawn wakes up as Belle is folding their clothes, telling him she couldn’t sleep so she bathed Claire and washed clothes. She is in a bitter mood, saying she is worried about Claire having no interaction with family or other children. She thinks they need to leave this island and go to Australia and soon. They discuss it as she says this is not a good place for them to raise her. But he thinks there is more to it than she is saying. He asks her if she has a plan and she takes out the ring and suggests they trade it for a boat and says she is just thinking about what is best for Claire. Shawn is just happy to see her smile again but he thinks there is another reason she wants to leave. She gets upset accusing him of calling her a liar. Gabby shows up with breakfast and tells Shawn that Duck wants him downstairs to check the generator. After he leaves, Gabby asks Belle if she is okay and offers to watch Claire if Belle wants to take a shower. Belle asks why she is so interested in Claire and points out that Gabby is still a stranger to her. Gabby says she is only trying to help and asks Belle what is wrong with her. Gabby apologizes if she upset Belle in some way and says Claire just won her heart and she was happy to finally have another “girl friend”. But if she is angry with her, she will back off. She just wants the truth from Belle. So Belle lays it out, saying she isn’t so sure it is a girlfriend that Gabby is after and asks if she is after Shawn. Gabby asks if she is jealous of her. But Belle doesn’t want to discuss it any further. Gabby swears she is not interested in Shawn, just as he comes in and gives a report on the generator, so Gabby leaves to go give Duck the news. After she is gone, Shawn asks Belle what is wrong. She tells him if he loves her then they should get out of there. He assures her that he does love her and that will never change. She says she loves him too, but feels like they are drifting apart in this place and it kills her. He holds her as she cries and he tells her not to worry. She is sure that if they leave this place, they can make it work. Shawn finally says they will go see about that boat today…as Gabby listens at the door.
On the plane to Italy…Max and Kayla are on their way as she thanks him for going with her. He asks why they are going and she explains to him the story of how Steve kidnapped John from the hospital and forced her to remove his kidney. She is convinced that it is Stefano who needed the kidney. Max asks what do they do now and she has the address of where Marlena and John found Stefano last year. She says they have to get proof that he received the kidney. Max talks about how lucky Steve is with her risking her life to save him. He asks how do they do this and she says they will need a distraction. Max spots a priest on the plane and has an idea. He takes the priest’s carry-on, telling Kayla to just call him Father Maximus. He tells her that where ever there are priests, there are bound to be nuns and suggests she pose as one. He says it could get them in to see Stefano. She is worried and says that do go through with this, she will have to get down and dirty. He laughs at her, saying she is what she is…an angel on earth. She says maybe she is an “avenging angel” and now must become what she fears the most about the DiMeras in order to go up against them. He laughs at her, saying she is tough in her own way…calling her “Special K”…saying she is soft on the outside, but tough inside. He is sure she can do what she has to without turning into a DiMera. They will do this…the Brady way. She turns and gives the priest a donation to his parish. Max laughs and says she is just trying to assure her place in Heaven.
Chelsea goes to see Nick…And he wants to put their past behind them. She asks if he feels the same as he did before and he says he loves her even more. She says she is in trouble and needs his help and to take a risk for her. They sit as she explains about how they found Hope’s jewelry at Willow’s after the fire. Nick says that is good news and proves that Willow is guilty and that should let Chelsea off the hook. But then she explains about the hairbrush being found on the scene, even though she is sure it was Willow who swiped it. Nick thinks she should just tell her dad the truth but she is sure he won’t believe her. She asks if when the brush comes in for testing, if he could “lose” it. But he says no, that would be breaking the law, there must be another way. But she says she just wants him to help clear her name and swears that she still loves him and they can be together. He again advises her to tell Bo the truth. She finally sees that he isn’t going to help her so she goes to leave. He swears he does love her, but he just won’t compromise his integrity for her. She asks if he thinks she is guilty and he says he believes her, but he just can’t do this. He says he can’t commit a crime, but she says he would be preventing one. She says she would do anything for him and thought he would do the same for her. She leaves dejected and in the hall, makes a call to book a flight to New York. After thinking it over, Nick chases after her, but she is already gone.
At the mental hospital…The orderly (Foley) orders Steve to clean up the mess, but he tells him it looks like slop and since HE is the pig, he can eat it. Steve finally gets down on the floor and puts food on the guys shoes, asking if he wants fries with that…as the others laugh. Steve continues to insult him until he takes out his tazer and threatens to shock him. Steve rips open his shirt and tells him to bring it on, he needs a recharge anyway. He zaps him, just as Dr. Kraft comes in and sees, asking ‘what the HELL is going on?” She goes off on Foley and defends Steve, saying if there was trouble, he should have paged her. She asks Steve how he is and he says he is “all fired up” (lol). She helps him up and says she is taking him back to his room as he asks if she is going to have her way with him. She laughs and says she ALWAYS gets her way. She leads him away as he makes kissy faces at Foley. Later, she checks him out and says it doesn’t look that bad as he explains he was just standing up for another patient. She leaves, telling him she will see him later in private session. She tells Foley to get Steve a new shirt and don’t do anything like that again. He goes in and tells “popeye” that he made himself an enemy today. Steve tells him “bring it on, bro…bring it on…” as the previews show…
Sami (to EJ) I am more than okay…because YOU are NOT the father (as he snatches the paper away from her and says): Let me see that…
Philip shows Gabby a picture of Shawn and Belle and says: I am looking for 2 people who kidnapped my daughter and I have reason to believe that they are on this island…as Shawn watches and listens…
Steve (to Dr. Kraft): it IS a matter of life and death…somebody could die…(Dr. Kraft): What are you talking about?...
A man holding a gun on Max and Kayla (dressed as a priest and nun) asks: Who are you?...
And the credits roll…

Shawn’s actions bring trouble, Kayla asks a favor of Max while Steve puts one over on Dr. Kraft, but only hurts himself. And guess what?….amazingly, not a sign of EJ for a refreshing change!
KAYLA & MAX are lunching at the Penthouse Grill, her treat. They exchange a bit of small talk, when she suddenly mentions him going on a vacation, and invites him to go to Italy with her, again her treat. (She sure must have put away a lot of money while she was in L.A. Ha!). Max is startled, figures there is something going on, and Kayla admits it could be a smidge dangerous. She then admits she wants to go after Stefano, to a shocked Max. She explains about Steve being held by Stefano when he was missing all those years, being brainwashed and EJ involved. Max wonders why she doesn’t ask Bo or Roman, her other brothers, but she claims they have been working for months trying to nail EJ, with no success. (THAT’s for sure) She also says neither could get leave. (And since WHEN has that stopped Bo? Ha.) Kayla tells Max that she needs backup, and asks if he will go. He says taking down international crime bosses is not in his job description, but Kayla is adamant about going. Max finally agrees on one condition………that they stop in NY on the way back so he can see Abby, who is there on a trip. Kayla says that is fine, the Big Apple it is, but don’t tell anyone at all of their plans.
ON TINDA LAO, Shawn is throwing Charlie out of the bar, causing Gabby to get very upset. Belle has come upon the scene, and wants to know what is going on. Gabby tells Shawn he has made trouble for all of them. Now Duck comes roaring in, yelling about Charlie being brother-in-law to the sheriff, who is a big Law & Order fan, and thinks he is a freaking Wyatt Earp! When noone else is around, Shawn gives Gabby what for because she told Charlie stuff about them. Gabby tries to make excuses, saying it is a small island, and Charlie just asked if they were married or shacking up. Shawn interrupts, and says that she then told him something that was none of anyone’s business and something he told her in confidence. He leaves. Later, Shawn & Belle are in their room packing and arguing. Shawn says they can sleep on the beach tonite, but Belle says no, she is not going to leave because he cannot control his temper. Shawn lets her know he did not punch out Charlie because of Gabby, but because he was insulting Belle. Gabby comes to warn them to get out quick, the sheriff is downstairs, but too late. Duck & the sheriff are at the door.
Now we see Shawn & the sheriff outside, with Shawn telling his story once more, and Gabby backing him up. Charlie is always getting drunk, and the sheriff admits he knows that is true. Upstairs, Belle decides to take Claire out to play, and leaves the room. 3 seconds later, Duck comes in to search and see what the boy scout is hiding. Downstairs, the sheriff says he will talk Charlie into dropping the charges, but still needs to make a report, and will need their passports. Shawn is taken aback. Belle comes along, and tells Shawn to tell the sheriff the truth, so Shawn explains how they left the States in his dad’s boat because someone was trying to take away their child. He says the boat sunk, and they ended up on an island, and eventually made their way to this one. (well, at least that is partially the truth) Cue Duck to come in, saying whatever they have told the sheriff is a lie, and he has their passports, obviously forgeries. Shawn & Belle are upset he was in their room, but he says he owns the place. The sheriff is ready to take action, but Gabby speaks up, saying that everyone on the island has lied to everyone else, all have secrets of some kind, it is why and how they all came there. She also adds that Duck search the room illegally, without a warrant, and therefore the passports are inadmissible evidence. She tells everyone she will talk to Charlie, and nearly everyone leaves. Shawn apologizes to Gabby for how he treated her earlier, and thanks her for her help. She hugs him, saying she will do anything for him. Upstairs, Duck comes to the room, looking for Shawn. Belle says he is still down in the bar. Duck now warns her about his daughter. He says he loves her dearly, but she has this weakness for men, especially dark haired, blue eyed ones. Sound familiar? He warns her Gabby is after Shawn, and that if she wants to keep her man, she had better stake her claim soon.
IN THE HOSPITAL, Steve paces his room, as Dr. Kraft comes in with his meds. She is not happy, as the staff tells her he has been refusing his meds. Dr. Kraft pleads with him, as they go back and forth with the same conversations we have heard before. Steve doesn’t want to be a drooling zombie, etc. etc. Dr. Kraft warns him about his deal, and that if he does not cooperate, he will be going to prison, but if he does, he will get extra privileges, like getting his lunch out in the commons, and watching TV. Steve says, o, goodie, I can catch up on all the soaps, and maybe figure out what is going on in them. LOLOLOL Steve admits he is scared, but finally agrees to take the pill, but fakes taking it, tucking it into a pocket or something after she leaves, and leaves the door open.
Steve wanders out into the commons, noting a few patients sitting here and there. A bit later, we see her come into the commons, and sit down to talk to Steve, who seems a bit spaced out (but probably faking that, too). She wants to know why he will not tell why he kidnapped John from the hospital, and how he forced Kayla to remove John’s kidney. Steve is vague in his response, and she talks about Stockholm syndrome. Steve says it is a pretty town, he was there one. (yes, you were, Steve, great story back then). She tells him how a group of hostages became brainwashed and were in sympathy with their captors. Steve now mentions a movie he saw once. “Ol Blue Eyes was in it, and Lawrence Harvey, a good actor, those guys were brainwashed”. (Steve is referring to the movie Manchurian Candidate). Dr. Kraft gets a call on her cell, and has to leave, but is pleased with the good start they have made.
Now we see Steve toying with the food on his lunch tray, obviously distasteful to him. He notes another patient has finished his lunch, and takes his tray over to the guy, telling him he can have more, to enjoy. He goes over to the sofa, plops down to watch the TV, commenting on how he likes the “wascally wabbit”, too. We hear a commotion over at the other patient’s table. An orderly has come in, and is yelling at the patient, saying only one tray, and he has been warned before. Steve jumps up, taking the blame, saying it was his tray, and he gave it to him, so to pick on him. The orderly now sweeps the tray to the floor, telling Steve that it is his tray, so he should clean up the mess, and to get down on his knees and start. Steve says, no, it is your mess….so you had better get down on your knees and clean it up. Freeze frame on Steve standing stalwart….and the previews show…
Shawn: You got a plan? You are serious about this, aren’t you?
Belle: Shawn, our lives depend on it.
Nick: I want you to love me. I’m not gonna compromise my integrity to make it happen.
Chelsea: You think I did this, don’t you.
Steve to the orderly (his shirt is half off the one shoulder). Fire away
The orderly fires what might be a stun gun..electricity comes out of it, and Steve falls to the floor screaming.
Kayla to Max: I need to be what I fear most about the DiMeras. Lord, give me strength

Tape Date: 3/1/07
Air Date: 3/27/07
Director: Phil Sogard
Summary: Sami’s shower is underway as EJ presses to know what she and Celeste are up to…Hope searches Willow’s place and finds her stash…Bo lets Chelsea off the hook…Shawn picks a fight with a local.
On the Island…Shawn plays with Claire’s bear (that Gabby gave her) as Belle comes in. Shawn wishes he could do more for them but Belle says that they have all they need and that Claire is lucky. Belle talks about a consignment shop Gabby told her of and wants to go and get Claire some new clothes. Shawn goes downstairs to help Duck and explains to Gabby that Belle went shopping. There is a patron in the bar (Charlie) who is drunk and wants to dance with Gabby. Shawn tries to get him to leave her alone, but she knows how to handle him and gets him to go sit down, telling Shawn it’s ok. When she needs rescuing, she will let him know. Later, Claire and Belle are back as Claire models her clothes. Gabby goes to get her camera to take some pictures. Shawn tells Belle to stay clear of Charlie. Gabby and Belle are in their room now as she takes pictures of Belle and Claire. She asks if everything is okay between her and Shawn now. Then Belle asks if anything was going on between Gabby and Shawn last night when she came down. Belle says she is not jealous if it was, but Gabby swears she isn’t trying to take Shawn away. She isn’t really interested in a guy…unless Superman swoops down, then she will think about it. Gabby tells Belle she can tell that Shawn wants Belle. Back downstairs, they show Shawn the pictures as Charlie comes over again. Gabby takes him back to his seat and then offers to take a picture of Shawn, Belle and Claire. Belle says she wishes she would have had a picture to send with the letter, so everyone would know they are okay. Gabby says they can send another, she will make sure it gets to the states. Later, Shawn is tending bar as Charlie gets in his face and belches. He offers to take the “cute little blonde” but Shawn tells him to shut up, that is his wife. Charlie says that’s not what he hears…he is only the guy that knocked her up. Shawn gets angry and punches him and they end up in a brawl. Gabby rushes over yelling at Shawn to stop.
At Willow’s Place…She comes home to find Hope in her apartment…and she has found the stash of jewelry. Willow claims that it was her aunt’s but Hope goes through it and is able to identify every piece as her own. She says she found everything but the matches Willow used to torch their house. Then Willow changes her tune and says she doesn’t know how it got there, she has never seen it before. She says that Chelsea was there earlier and she must have planted it there. After all, WHY would SHE want to hurt Bo and Hope. Hope says that is what she intends to find out. With that, Willow takes off running with Hope chasing after her.
At Billie’s…
Chelsea is afraid Bo is coming to take her to jail. He arrives with 2 cops to search Chelsea’s room. Billie thinks that Bo is taking this all too personal and he says it IS personal. Chelsea tells him he can blame her, after all she IS his favorite target, but this time he is wrong. They pack up her things so she offers her lipstick and her gum, if they want that too. Bo says he is sorry, but he is just following the evidence. He shows them the hairbrush they found and Chelsea lies, saying it isn’t hers. Hope calls Bo and tells her she found the jewelry at Willows but then she ran off. Bo tells her he is sending a unit over and putting out an APB for her. He apologizes to Chelsea but says he was only doing his job. He says he is just glad he was wrong this time. The cops put Chelsea’s things back as Bo continues to apologize. He and Chelsea hug as Hope comes in. Chelsea hugs Hope as well and thanks her for her help. But then Hope tells them that Willow is claiming that Chelsea planted the jewelry there, which she denies. Bo holds up the brush and says that Willow can’t lie about DNA proof. Billie thanks Hope for helping as Bo says this time there will be no running for Willow. After they leave, Billie tells Chelsea she is proud of her. Billie goes to freshen up as Chelsea calls someone, telling them she needs their help. Later, Willow returns home, only to be met by the cops in the hallway. She tells them they are making a mistake, they have the wrong person, but they cuff her and read her rights.
At Sami’s…There is a replay of Celeste and Sami in the hallway as she opens the door with EJ standing there (overhearing Celeste talking about killing him). Kate pops her head out and tells Sami that it’s a surprise bridal shower as she and Celeste go inside. EJ tells Celeste he doesn’t know who looked more surprised…Sami or her and notices that Sami’s hands are shaking. Philip offers Sami a gift and asks her if it is okay he is there. EJ butts in but Sami excuses herself to talk to Philip. Sami can’t believe how nice Kate is being to her (as Kate offers hors d’ouevres, assuring Sami they are safe…if she had wanted to kill her, she would have done it long ago). Sami tells Kate that EJ is leaving, but he refuses to go. She tries to get him to leave, but he wants to talk to her so they go to the bedroom. He demands to know how she and that ‘3rd rate gypsy’ are planning to kill him as Sami denies it. In the other room, Kate brings over the food tray and asks Celeste “Eye of newt?...tail of frog?” and tells her that trying to kill someone can work up an appetite. Celeste tells Kate that she misunderstood what was going on…she was looking into schools for Theo and was wanting advice from Sami. Lucas arrives asking if he missed anything and Kate says no, the fun is just beginning. Philip wants to talk to Lucas alone so they go to the hallway. Philip offers an apology, but Lucas wants no part of it. Celeste goes to leave as Kate continues to needle her, calling her and Sami “Salem’s latest odd couple” and wants to know what they are up to. With that Celeste leaves, but in the hallway, she furiously sends an instant message to Sami, praying she gets it. In the bedroom, Sami swears to EJ that she isn’t up to anything. He taunts her and she says she is sick of him and says she is going to call her dad and tell him everything. So EJ offers to make that call for her and dials his phone and hands it to her. She asks for Roman, but he is busy and can’t be disturbed. So then, EJ offers to call Bo, saying they should just “keep it all in the family”. Sami takes the phone but tells Bo she just wanted to thank him and Hope for the gift. After she hangs up, EJ laughs at her (referring to himself as the “cat” and her as the “mouse”, saying the cat won this round). He demands to know what she and Celeste are up to, but she swears nothing. She knocks over her purse and happens to see the message from Celeste. In the other room, Kate is on the phone with Marlena (who is with John at the hospital…good to see they are mentioned). Lucas and Philip return to the party and don’t even want to talk . EJ warns Sami to stay away from Celeste. Sami, who has read the message, tells EJ that Celeste and she were only talking about schools for Theo, and that when Celeste said something about killing someone, she was
just kidding, talking about the principal of the school. She says that EJ always misunderstands everything. In the other room, Kate urges Lucas and Philip to get along as they both say they will try. Lucas asks where Sami is as Kate delights in telling him she is in the bedroom with EJ. Lucas walks in asking what is going on…just as Sami finishes up a sentence with the baby is none of EJ’s business. EJ leaves as Sami tells Lucas she wasn’t feeling well and EJ just followed her in there. She assures Lucas she is fine now. EJ and Kate talk as Kate tells him that Celeste claimed that she was there to talk to Sami about schools. EJ says that is what Sami said as well. He excuses himself to leave as Philip gets a call with a lead on Claire and tells Kate he has to go. Sami assures Lucas that she is not afraid of EJ, he is just a pest…she loves Lucas and he is all she needs. Kate tries to keep Philip from leaving saying if he is determined to go, then she is going with him. Sami and Lucas rejoin the party as Lucas just stares at the door. On the other side of the door, is EJ sniffing (what looks like) Sami’s hanky and caressing it on his cheek, saying she will be his very soon…as the previews show…Duck (to Belle): If you want to hold on to that boy scout of yours, you had better stake your claim real soon…
Gabby hugs Shawn and says “anything I can do to help…anything at all…”
Max (to Kayla): I’d do anything for you guys…you know that… (Kayal): That mean you’ll do it?... (Max): Uhhhh…I guess…
Steve (to an orderly): You’re gonna get down there on your knees and clean it up…
And the credits roll…

Tape Date: 3/1/07
Air Date: 3/26/07
Director: James Baffico
Summary: Gabby tells Shawn a bit about her history…Chelsea convinces Hope she didn’t start the fire…Celeste badgers Sami to do something about EJ…EJ crashes the bridal shower…but not before he and Philip enter an alliance.
On the Island…It is late and Belle is having trouble putting Claire to sleep. (Too cute how she keeps saying “cookie”). Duck comes by looking for Shawn, asking where he is. He asks lots of questions about Shawn and Belle and can tell that Belle is uncomfortable with it. He finally explains that he needs him early in the morning to help him and Belle says she will let him know. Downstairs, Shawn is lying on the sofa when Gabby comes by and offers him a beer. She can see he is upset and asks if he wants to talk about it but he doesn’t. She says it’s all her fault that they had a fight but Shawn says they just have things to work out. She apologizes for asking so many questions. Shawn finally explains that Belle was married and that it is her ex that is after them and how things hadn’t worked out as he had hoped. He tells Gabby that he does love Belle and thinks that maybe she loves him as well, but they just aren’t at that place yet and he told Belle he would be patient. She begins to pour on the charm, calling him sweet, smart, brave and “smoking hot”, saying any girl would be lucky to have him. But he laughs at those comments and she says it was inappropriate. Shawn says he isn’t going to push Belle, because before all this, he was a major screw up…he was working for a criminal and living with an ex-hooker. Gabby shares with him about her mother who was a “lady of the evening”. She rattles on about how she lived in Saigon during the war and there was no work and how she did what she had to survive. She died shortly after Gabby was born and how a marine, saying he was her daddy, rescued her from the orphanage. She is talking about Duck, who is nearby listening. She talks about how he has always taken care of her and Shawn says he has newfound respect for him. She says in a lot of ways, Shawn is like him. Belle walks up with Claire, telling Shawn that she won’t go to sleep, wanting him. Shawn asks her if it would be okay to stay with them and Belle says yes. Upstairs, Shawn puts Claire to bed and Belle thanks him. He tells her that he has been thinking about their arguments and it is all his fault. He promises her he is not going to pressure her anymore and that they should put it all aside for Claire’s sake.
Back in Salem…Philip meets with EJ in a dark alley. Philip asks him if he has heard from Shawn and/or Belle, which EJ hasn’t. He tells him that he has people looking for them and EJ thinks that perhaps they should share information, for he and Shawn have unfinished business as well. They agree to keep each other informed and shake on it. Philip says he has to go…he is going to Lucas & Sami’s bridal shower and leaves. After he is gone, EJ says perhaps he should go shopping as well.
At Billie’s…
She is getting dressed when Hope comes by on her way to Sami’s shower. She wants to talk to her about the night of the fire. Hope says that she is not there to judge Chelsea or Billie. Billie is positive that Chelsea had nothing to do with it, but Hope points out that Chelsea was upset that night and when she is like that, can be unpredictable. Billie thinks that Hope is there to accuse Chelsea of starting the fire and gets upset. Hope says that either way, Chelsea is in some serious trouble. Billie is aware of that and says she knows she was upset with her and Nick, but NOT Bo and Hope…it doesn’t make sense that she would set their house on fire. She just wishes that Bo would believe in Chelsea as well. But Hope says he is just being a cop, trying to do his job. Billie asks what Hope believes and she says she doesn’t want to believe it, for she has been seeing changes in Chelsea. Billie says she will need to talk to Chelsea.
At Lucas & Sami’s…
They are rushing around getting ready to leave as Sami looks for her folder with all her wedding plans. As she is looking in the bedroom, Lucas calls Kate and tells her that they are leaving and that Sami doesn’t suspect a thing. Chelsea is in the hallway excitedly waiting for them to leave when Kate arrives. Sami and Lucas come out as they hide. Sami and Lucas leave as Kate and Chelsea go inside. Later, Kate has Chelsea sampling hors d’ourves as she complains about doing all this for Sami. Chelsea defends Sami and says that she has been good to her and how she is sure that Sami and Lucas love each other. Kate chuckles and says that love is over rated and for her not to let it make her stupid. Chelsea brings up Nick and Billie as Kate tells her to just get over it. Kate says that Billie is human but Chelsea doesn’t like Kate defending her. Kate tells her that forgiving Billie is the right thing to do…she can make Nick suffer all she wants. Kate says she needs to get over it and get on with it…and then Chelsea will be okay. There is a knock at the door as Chelsea opens it to find Billie and Hope there. Suddenly, Chelsea needs to go make a call and makes a quick exit.
At Chez Rouge…
Sami and Lucas meet with Cydney (the web person). Sami gets a call from Celeste, telling her not to hang up on her and listen to her…her future depends on it. She says things have gone from bad to worse with EJ and they need to talk immediately. Sami tells her she isn’t interested and don’t call back and hangs up on her. The lady asks Sami for her wedding plans as Sami explains all she wants to do. The lady says it sounds very “traditional” which Sami doesn’t like the sound of. She wanted it to be “edgy”. Cydney suggests a theme wedding and says maybe a “green” wedding. Sami says that green isn’t really her color (lol) and Cydney explains she means environmentally sound. As she explains, Sami gets excited, liking the sound of it. Lucas points out that many plans have already been made, but Sami says they can be changed. He finally gives in as an excited Sami says NO ONE will forget this wedding.
Back at Billie’s…
Chelsea goes there to be alone. Hope joins her and tries to be supportive. She tells Chelsea that Billie believes her 100% as does Kate. She says that Lucas and Sami must trust her, so she does have a lot of support. Chelsea says that she just doesn’t have hers or Bo’s. Hope says the fact is that she was there that night and she was upset and she can’t ignore that. Chelsea insists that she is not an arsonist and that there is no way she would ever try to hurt Hope or the baby…she loves them. She says they should look at Willow, since she is the one with a history of arson. Hope informs her that they did question Willow, but her alibi was she was with her brother and he confirmed it. Chelsea says that he was probably lying to protect her…he DOES owe her for footing all his expenses. Hope has a change of heart and tells Chelsea that she believes her. Chelsea asks what changed her mind, and Hope says she could see it in her eyes. Chelsea thanks her as Billie comes over and tells them that Bo just called and is on his way over…on police business. Chelsea panics and is sure he will take her to jail. Hope tells them she has an idea that may clear Chelsea and she hopes she gets back before Bo gets there. Billie continues to stand by Chelsea as Chelsea tells her she changed her mind and does want Billie there when she makes her statement.
Back at Sami’s Shower…
Philip has arrived now as Kate and Billie are happy he came. The doorbell rings as Kate opens it to find EJ standing there with a gift. Kate invites him as she says under her breath that this party may be fun after all. Sami is in the hallway and is accosted by Celeste, saying she is there to warn her. She tells her about being at Chez Rouge and overhearing EJ questioning Nick about the test. Celeste asks her what she is planning and Sami tells her about Nicking getting her the blank test, sure it will work. Celeste says no, EJ will find out and end up destroying her. Sami says she is not afraid of him, as Celeste warns her she should be…SHE is. Sami tries to get her to leave, saying she has to plan her wedding. Celeste tells her not to walk away from her…that bastard from hell has to die…just as Sami opens the door. The afore-mentioned "bastard from hell" himself, is standing there…as others in the background shout “surprise!”…and the previews show…
Chelsea (to Bo): If you want someone to blame this on, fine…blame me…afterall, I am your favorite target…But just know….that you are wrong…
Philip (to Lucas): I don’t want to miss out on being a part of my own family… (Luas): I don’t care what you want…
Shawn is fighting with someone as Gabby yells: Shawn, you are killing him…QUIT!...
Sami (to EJ): I am going back to the party…(EJ): You’re not going anywhere until I find out how you and that third-rate gypsy are planning on killing me…
And the credits roll…

Kayla argues with Steve during her visit, Shawn argues with Belle on the island, EJ accosts and argues with several people, while Sami has to cover up once again.
ON TINDA LAO, Shawn is upset with Belle for telling Gabby their private business. She tries to explain away the reason for the twin beds, but she sounds as lame as the viewer sees it as well. Shawn gets that she does not want to sleep with him, but he does not need the entire island knowing this. They go back and forth (zzzzzzzzzzzzzz) as she brings up that they had those purity rings and promised to wait until they married, and then both married other people. She brings up the terrible names he called her when she was first with Philip, even tho he was not in right mind, and then that he was first with Jan, then Mimi, and then Willow. She does not want to be another notch on the bedpost, and suggests he might want someone quick and easy. Gabby brings some extra pillowcases and blankets, and Belle thanks her. Back to the argument, and Shawn takes a pillow and blanket to go sleep on the beach.
IN STEVE’S ROOM, Dr. Kraft is trying to get him to take his meds. Steve is reluctant, but Dr. Kraft reminds him he can go back into the restraints. He is still resisting, when she mentions his wife is outside. Steve takes his pills, and Dr. Kraft lets Kayla in, and then leaves. Steve apologizes for what he did to her, saying he just wanted to get away from everyone, so he would not hurt anyone. He begs her not to tell Stefanie where he is now, but Kayla will not promise that. She loves him, but he used that love to manipulate her. He pleads his case, and they kiss. He zones out on his meds, and comes back. Kayla wants to know why he won’t name the person who forced him to steal John and take his kidney. She knows it was EJ, and wants him to testify to that. Steve gets angry and refuses. They argue, with Kayla saying she will go after EJ herself. Steve warns her to stay away from EJ, as she leaves. He yells thru the door to stay away from EJ. He will kill you. He will kill Stephanie.
AT CHEZ ROUGE, Nick is having a beer at the bar, when Willow comes up to him, wanting to know if his Uncle Mickey has worked on her subsidized housing. Nick tells her it has only been a couple of hours, and to be patient. She worries as she is being evicted. Up comes EJ (Does this guy have a GPS system on every person in Salem?) who asks if there is a problem. Nope, as Willow takes off. Now EJ sort of introduces himself to Nick, and promptly asks if Sami is having her amnio work done in his lab. Nick says he cannot help him, but EJ is insistent. Celeste arrives, greeted by Maggie, and spots Nick & EJ, overhearing a bit of their conversation. Now EJ insists Nick have a drink with him, then tries to bribe Nick with talk of a jazzy sports car. Nick smiles, telling him to add a penthouse apt. with perhaps a circular bed and mirrors on the ceilings. He tells EJ, that no means NO. (You, go, Nick!) Celeste hears this interchange. EJ finally leaves, promising Nick that they will undoubtedly meet again. Maggie comes up to Nick, saying she did not know Nick knew EJ. Nick lets her know he didn’t, and that EJ wanted to know if Sami’s test results were being done at his hospital. Maggie wonders what business that is of EJ’s (yeah, so do we, who the heck does EJ think he is, demanding complete strangers divulge info to him?).
LUCAS IS STRUGGLING with some work, when Sami comes out of the bedroom, saying that both Will and Chelsea were asleep. They begin to make out and decide to take it to the bedroom, just in case the kids wake up and come out. As Lucas clears the mess up at the desk, he comes across the blank lab report, wondering what this is. Sami claims she must have picked it up accidentally when she was fillingout insurance papers at the doctor’s office. Lucas crumples it up, and throws it in the waste basket. They begin to kiss and head towards the bedroom, when Sami suddenly remembers she has to take her pre-natal vitamins (at night??). Then she wants to lock up, and take out the trash. Lucas gives her a bit of a hard time, but she talks of hormones and nesting…and stuff that makes no sense. LOL. Now Lucas mentions some job that EJ has him working on. Sami gets upset that he even brought up EJ’s name, but Lucas says this has to do with internet weddings. He asks for Sami’s help with it, since she knows so much about weddings…..no it is not a knock, but a compliment. She has a good business head, so he wants her to help him out, and go with him to meet with this web site designer. She agrees, and then goes out with the small little bag of trash. (Mine should be so light and small, lol). Lucas takes the opportunity to call Kate, telling her that Sami will be going with him to meet the web site guy, and so the apt. will be empty, so she can do her thing in re: the surprise Bridal shower.
Out in the hall, Sami is rummaging thru the paper trash, when who comes along? Yep, it is Mr. Nosy Parker himself. He comments that a beautiful woman like Sami should not have to be taking out the trash. They banter back & forth, and he starts in on how it has been a week since the amnio, and where are the results, yada, yada. He makes his usual threats, Sami puts him off, telling him she will make a recording for him, saying he will know when she does, so he won’t have to keep asking. Lucas comes out, wondering what is going on. EJ claims he was just saying good-night to Sami, and goes into his apt. Lucas goes back inside, and Sami rummages a bit more, and finds the paper. (So it is all crumpled up. How is she supposed to use it now?). She heads for the incinerator, as sly EJ opens his door and looks out at her retreating back.
Willow arrives, knocking on EJ’s door. He nearly closes it in her face, telling her that no soliciting allowed in the building. LOL. She is frantic, saying how she is pregnant, being evicted, and did everything he wanted. She broke into Bo’s house, stole the jewelry, and why can he not pay her. EJ makes his smarmy excuses, and Willow holds up the jewelry, asking him to buy it, that she has been to every pawn shop in town, and no one will touch it. She promises to get out of town and he will never see her again. He invites her in, she says no. He clicks his tongue as he tells her that if he wanted her dead, she would be already. He goes back into the apt., returning with a card. It is the name of a gentleman who deals in “pre-owned collectibles”. You mean a fence, says Willow. EJ tells her that if she ever comes there again, she will not have to worry about a place to live for herself and her baby. She says she gets it, and leaves.
In Sami’s apt. she & Lucas talk about EJ, with Sami intimating that EJ still has a thing for her, but once the baby is born, he will get it, and leave them alone. Lucas wonders why he has not moved yet. Lucas goes into the bedroom, as Sami gets ready to follow. Her cell rings, and it is Celeste, trying to warn her, but Sami cuts her off, telling her to leave her alone, and she hangs up. Now Sami smoothes out the crumpled blank lab report, folds it, and hides it in a drawer, telling herself this had better work. She heads towards the bedroom, stops, and turns around, with a pensive look on her face. And the previews show…..
Shawn, who is holding Claire: I was actually thinking I’d like to come upstairs to sleep, if that’s o.k. with you
Belle: Of course it is.
Chelsea, as Hope looks on: Hope just told me she believes me about the fire.
Billie: We’re really gonna need your support. I just got off the phone with Bo. He’s on his way over. Official police business.
Celeste to Sami, outside her apt. door: Do you hear what I’m saying to you, girl? That bastard from hell deserves to die. The door is opened by an angry looking EJ, as a chorus of female voices behind him yell “SURPRISE!”

Tape Date: 2/27/07
Air Date: 3/22/07
Director: Herb Stein
Summary: Another pretty slow day in Salem…After some pleading and begging from Kayla, Steve is returned to the state hospital…Billie tries to get a second chance with Chelsea…Shawn agrees to let Belle send a letter home, but will her letter make it back to Salem?
At the Cabin…
Roman explains to Kayla that Marlena took Billie by the hospital to be checked out and she is okay. She is upset that Steve and Billie could have gotten killed. She says she feels frustrated and helpless, then notices Roman has a strange look, asking him what is wrong. He tells her that he talked to the DA and that the judge wants Steve taken to the county jail. They will take him by the hospital first to check him out, but then it is directly to jail. This upsets Kayla, saying he needs help…he is sick and doesn’t know what he is doing. Roman tells her he will talk to the judge again and Kayla thinks they should contact Dr. Kraft. She begs Roman to let her call, but he doesn’t think that will help, since Steve was violent with the doctor before. She tells Roman she is not giving up on Steve, so Roman tells the cops to take him to the mental hospital after they finish at Salem U.
At Billie’s…
Chelsea is there packing some more of her things when Billie comes in. Chelsea notices the bruise on her forehead as Billie explains what happened. She swears she is okay (Marlena took her by the hospital first) but then gets faint. Chelsea is determined to get her aspirin, but wants to call her doctor first. As she is on the phone, Billie sees Chelsea’s diary and helps herself, reading how she hates Billie for what she did to her. Chelsea is in out of the room while on the phone, as Billie keeps slipping and reading more of the diary. She also reads where Chelsea wrote about the fire and how she feels about school as well as Nick. Chelsea comes back to the room as Billie hides the diary and says she has to go. Billie begs her to stay so she gives in, saying she will stay for a while. They sit as she tells her that Sami urged her not to hold a grudge. She talks about how Billie hurt her and now she feels stupid and like everyone is laughing at her. Billie cries that she loves her and begs her to stay, saying she can talk to her about anything and begs for a second chance. Chelsea says she can’t and she is still upset with Billie because of the Nick thing and she can’t get over the feeling that Billie did it to hurt her. She says that Billie is like 2 different people…first there is mom, who she loves and then there is Billie, who is a selfish drunk. She wants mom back…but not the other person. Chelsea says she has to go but is met at the door by Roman. He tells them he has new information about the fire and needs to talk to Chelsea. She claims she had nothing to do with it and didn’t even know until she found out later from her dad. She admits she went by there, but didn’t want to bother Hope or the baby and just left a note under the door. But Roman says they never found a note. Billie thinks they should go and look for it, but he says they have searched and no note was ever found. He tells them that he talked to Abby earlier and learned that Chelsea was in need of money…then he tells them that some of Hope’s jewelry was missing as well. Chelsea and Billie get upset as Billie tells him to leave…NOW. He tells them he will arrange for Chelsea to come in and make an official statement. After Roman leaves, Billie hugs her, telling her it will all be okay and that she will stand by her. She tries to get her to stay the night, but Chelsea says she is going to Sami & Lucas’s. Billie tells her she will always be welcome with her. As she leaves, Billie promises to get her a lawyer and will go with her to make her statement. After Chelsea leaves, Billie thanks God for letting her have a second chance to get Chelsea back.
Later, at the Mental Hospital…
Kayla is talking with Dr. Kraft, who says NO, Steve would not let them help him before and there is nothing else they can do for him…how can you help a patient who refuses help? Kayla lectures her about giving up on him but the doctor says he is a liability, putting other patients in danger. She shows Kayla the bag of pills that Steve was stashing before. Kayla pleads with her, talking about how sick he is, as the orderlies wheel him up outside the room…and leave him there alone…as he listens. Kayla pleads his case, telling the doctor about when she was in the hospital and he stayed with her, saving her. She goes on to tell her about how he “died” 16 years ago and she never gave up on him. Now they are back together and it was like they were never apart. She says they were cheated out of all that time and begs her to help him. Roman comes by and tells them that he talked with Marlena and if Dr. Kraft agrees to take him back, Marlena will back her up. Kayla begs Dr. Kraft to give Steve and her a second chance and she finally caves in and says she will…and there had better be no funny business this time. Later, Steve is in a room with Kayla by his side, telling him he has to cooperate this time…he has a second chance…please don’t blow it. She kisses him and goes to leave and he calls out to her, saying “You can be a real pain in the ass…did you know that?” as she smiles.
On the Island…
Shawn stops Belle from making the call home, angry with her for not listening to his warnings. Gabby says it’s her fault and as they argue, offers to take Claire to the kitchen for ice cream. After she leaves, Shawn asks why Belle went behind his back and she says she misses her mom and just needs to talk to her. Belle says they are safe…they beat Philip at his game, but Shawn fears he will never give up. One slip-up on their part and he will be there. Belle gets upset, saying she can’t live like this anymore. He tells her this is their life now and she had better get used to it. She says that he and Claire are her life now, but needs him to make some compromises…like not ordering her around and letting her talk to her mom. She suggests that maybe they call Roman and have him pass a message to Marlena so she can call them on a phone that she knows won’t be traced. But Shawn compromises and says they can write a letter and send it to Roman at the police station (that doesn’t seem much safer to me). Belle isn’t too thrilled about using snail mail, but goes along with it. Gabby returns with Claire as they ask about mail pickup. She takes the letter, promising to mail it for them as they return to their room. Once up there, Shawn gets upset yet again, when he sees the 2 beds…asking Belle why she went behind his back again. Downstairs, Gabby holds the letter and contemplates it…then rips it to shreds and throws it in the trash…as the previews show…
Belle (to Shawn): It isn’t making love…I would just be another Willow to you…
Lucas (to Sami): I was thinking about EJ and there is something I have to ask you… (Sami): You don’t want to spoil the mood…but you are bringing up EJ?...
Steve (to Kayla): I am warning you to stay away from EJ Wells…(Kayla): Would you listen to me if I said the same thing?...
EJ (to Willow): If I wanted you dead…I would have killed you already…
And the credits roll…

Duck & Gabby learn more about Shawn & Belle, while EJ questions Celeste, and Steve is stopped in his tracks.
ON TINDA LAO, Duck pressures Shawn as to what he & Belle are running from. Shawn evades the issue, just saying they will be leaving soon. Duck is rather insistent, as he downs shot after shot (that guy’s liver has to be in really bad shape, if he drinks like that all the time). Duck keeps on Shawn, finally threatening to call the states. As he starts to make a call, Shawn stops him, caves in, and off camera, tells him their story. Duck realizes they cannot keep running forever and are going to want to stop and settle down.
Meanwhile, Gabby is nicely doing much of the same to Belle. She insists on moving them to a room with two beds, but Belle knows Shawn does not want Duck knowing their business. Gabby says that they can just go into another room, and bring 2 beds into this one, and Duck will never know. Later, the beds are switched, and Gabby brings Belle a basket of stuff for a shower (soap, shampoo, conditioner, etc) and urges her to get in while the hot water tank is full. (Has to be, no other guests in sight, lol). She will take Claire (who looks adorable) down to beach, but Belle tells her sharply to put Claire down. She does not want to let Claire out of her sight. (Wonder if they have anti-rejection meds on that island??) Now Belle talks about missing her mom, and how sick her dad was when she left, and she has no idea if he is even alive. (and neither do we!). Gabby tells her to call her mom, that she pays all the bills, and Duck will never know about a call to the States. They go downstairs, and Shawn spots them, asking what is up. They babble about the basket of girlie goodies, and he laughingly retreats, taking Claire to their room. He gets up there, having forgotten his key, so returns to get Belle’s. As he comes up, he sees and hears Belle trying to get through to Salem.
AT THE PENTHOUSE GRILL, Celeste is seated, staring off into space, as her waitress tells her it will just be a while longer for her meal. Celeste is jumpy, saying something is wrong, and she has to leave right now. She hurries to the elevator, stabs at the down button, the door opens, and there is Evil Jerk. Ooops, I mean, EJ. (How that man is all over Salem at one time is astounding). He calls her Francesca, like his father did, but she tells him her name is Celeste. Ah, yes, he knows, but his father liked to call her that. (So, o.k. this somehow reminds me of Bridges of Madison County’s Francesca, but then, THAT was a love story! ) EJ proceeds to badger her about coming to Penthouse Grill so often of late, then accuses her of being there with Samantha, in the ladies room, for about 20 minutes. Celeste assures him she would never have anything to do with Samantha, that she was in the bar to meet a friend, and she hates Samantha. EJ threatens “Francesca” not to interfere in imatters not her concern. Celeste calls him Elvis, and he insists she not call him that, to call him EJ, (hmmnm now that is odd) and tells her to come with him into the bar for a drink. She refuses, but he lets her know in no uncertain terms that she may have mistook his invitation for a request, and it was not. Let’s go, says he. As he now sips his large martini, they banter back and forth. He talks of her being a member of the family, but she retorts that she is NOT a member of his family, but he has ruined hers. He ordered her girl dead, and tells him he is nothing like his father, who would never hurt his blood line, or murder his own flesh and blood. She continues that Stefano would think his deeds an abomination, and would be so ashamed of him. (Atta girl, Celeste!) EJ now accuses her of lying about Sami, but Celeste is adamant that she was there earlier to meet a friend for a drink. The friend did not show up, so she went to the ladies room to freshen up, did not see Sami at all, and left. EJ again threatens her, but Celeste assures him she will say nothing to anyone about their conversation, that she understands what the family is all about. EJ now is about to give her a report on the state of Stefano’s health, but Celeste could care less, doesn’t want to hear it, and whatever it is, hopes he does not recover, and when he leaves this world, hopes he rots in hell.
IN THE ABANDONED CABIN, Steve laughs at Marlena & Kayla thinking they can stop him from leaving. Marlena admits that she called Roman from the gas station where they stopped, and he is on his way. Kayla did not know and asks her why. Marlena says innocent people may be hurt. Steve tries to bully his way out, when Billie gets faint, & Kayla goes to her side. Steve pushes past Marlena, who promptly sprays him in the face with Mace or pepper spray….causing Steve to scream in pain. He goes down, and Marlena is trying to tie him up, asking Kayla to help, but she just stands there, staring. Marlena manages to truss up Steve, Billie goes outside for some air, and Marlena goes after her. Now Steve begs Kayla for help, telling her he still loves her, to just cut the ropes and they will go off together. Outside, Billie & Marlena talk in the car. Billie wonders who could have done this to Steve, and if he will ever recover. Marlena cannot believe she is still defending EJ, and says her concussion must be worse than they thought. Inside, Steve piles on the bull, and begs Kayla to cut the ropes. She kisses him, and tells him kisses do not lie. But he is still not old Steve, and says no, rushing outside crying. Billie comes up to her, with some encouraging words about Steve eventually recovering. We hear sirens as Marlena notes that has to be Roman. Inside, Steve is struggling, and manages to stand up, attempting to go out another way. The women come in, and Marlena gets him down on the floor again, yelling “I’ve got him”, as she holds the Mace can. And the previews show…..
Shawn to Belle: You have hot to forget about Salem. This is our life now, you better get used to it.
Dr. Kraft to Kayla: How do you help a patient who refuses to be helped?
Roman to Chelsea, with Billie looking on: We’ve got new information on the fire at your dad’s house, and he wants me to talk to you about it.
Steve (as he lays in bed) to Kayla: you’re a pain in the ass, you know that?

Summary: Willow and Chelsea have a confrontation…Steve rescues Billie…as Kayla and Marlena track them down…and Gabby asks questions about Belle & Shawn’s relationship.
On the Island…
Belle wakes up in the bed, as Shawn is asleep in a chair. They check on Claire and her fever is gone and she slept through the night. She thanks him for taking care of them. He says he needs to get downstairs to get to work as she says she is going to ask Gabby for another room, one with 2 beds. But he is against it, saying they can’t let down their guard and draw attention to themselves. Belle thinks he should chill out, and thinks he is being silly. He tells her to just forget it, from now on, he will just sleep outside. She tries to convince him that Gabby and her father aren’t a threat to them and that they are safe there. She asks what is wrong with him and he says he is just trying to protect them and she can’t even stand to be around him. She tries to explain her feelings and asks what happens when they get back home and things are back to normal. He talks about how he cares about her and Claire but she says she just needs time to sort out her feelings for him. He says all he wants is for them to be a family. But she says with them on the run, she just isn’t sure how SHE feels. He says he will give her all the time she needs. Duck bangs on the door for Shawn to get to work. Later we see him lugging kegs of beer as Gabby watches, foaming at the mouth, lol. She goes up to see Belle and see if they need anything. She tells him about Duck working Shawn so hard and asks Belle if they have set a date yet (she noticed no rings). She asks her why wait?...her dad can marry them right there on the island. Belle asks her why she is so curious about them…is she interested in Shawn? She says she doesn’t go after guys that are already taken…she is just curious. Belle says she not sure just what they are…they are just taking it slow. Gabby offers to get them another room, one with twin beds. Downstairs, Duck asks Shawn what’s the deal with him…is he just young and dumb…or does he have something to hide?
At Willow’s…
Chelsea warns her to stay away from Nick and the begin to trade insults and Willow takes it to a personal level, saying that Chelsea’s hair is NOT her friend. Well it goes right over Chelsea’s head as Willow says SHE is the new girl in town and that she likes Nick…in a Clark Kent sort of way. Chelsea says she is just a user and she isn’t going to let her take advantage of him. Willow starts on her, saying she can’t stop her, saying that Chelsea will be in jail for setting fire to Bo and Hope’s house. She says she has heard that Chelsea is the suspected pyro and asks if Daddy is going to cover for her again. They argue back and forth as Chelsea says Nick only helped Willow because she put on the “poor me” routine and cried crocodile tears and says Nick will find out what a lying skank she is. But Willow says Chelsea won’t be able to stop her, because she will be in jail for robbing Bo’s house. Chelsea picks up on that and no one has said anything about a robbery…how did she know that? Willow tries to cover but Chelsea says she sure seems to know a lot about what happened. Willow denies it, saying she has no reason to hurt Bo and Hope and goes on and on about how good they are being to her, with Hope paying her medical bills…yes, that’s right, Shawn is the father. She says they are treating her like the daughter they always wished they had. Well that cuts Chelsea to the bone and she gets upset. Willow tells her to just go on home…oh, wait…that’s right…you don’t have a HOME. Willow even tells her that she will help Bo and Hope, even if it means getting on the stand and lying…to help put Chelsea behind bars. Chelsea grabs her purse and runs out the door. Willow takes the jewelry out of the fridge, saying she has to get rid of it. In the hall, Chelsea says that Willow is wrong…her dad DOES love her.
Marlena and Kayla…
Are on the road, following the map Billie left behind. They have found out that they are only about 15 minutes behind them and Kayla is hoping when they find them, Steve will turn himself in. Marlena still wants to call the cops, but Kayla won’t let her. She tries to convince Kayla that Steve could be dangerous. But she says it is EJ that is dangerous and that it is all his fault. She says he should be the one suffering…he needs to be stopped and maybe she has to be the one to stop him. Marlena calls her “Laura Croft” and asks for her autograph (LOL). She warns her that the DiMeras are evil and will destroy anyone who tries to cross them…they are monsters. But Kayla says she isn’t scared…even though Marlena says she should be. Marlena asks what is her plan with EJ, as Kayla rambles on about how he has tortured everyone. Marlena reminds her that revenge isn’t the answer, but Kayla says she only wants justice. Back in the car, Marlena assures Kayla that she too cares about Steve, but she can’t stand by and let Kayla protect him, while he may endanger others. Kayla spots a gas station and they stop to see if anyone has seen him. She learns from a trucker that he saw an overturned car up the road, so they take off.
Steve carries an unconscious Billie…
Into an abandoned cabin and puts her on the bed, angry that she wouldn’t listen to him. He goes to leave, sure that someone will find her (because of the map she left). She wakes up, calling for him, but passes out. Later, he wakes her up, wiping her face with a cold cloth (she has a cut on her forehead). He tells her about flipping the car and says he had to make sure she was okay before he left. She tells him that she isn’t afraid of him and he says she should be. Finally, he says he has to go, but she says he can’t escape something that is a part of him. He wants to leave but she tries to convince him to turn himself in, saying she will stand by him. He says he can’t trust her and they argue about the accident and who’s fault it was. He gives her his phone so she can call for help and goes to the door. He opens it to find Kayla and Marlena there. Kayla notices he is hurt and they go inside and Billie assures them she is okay. Steve tries to leave, but they stop him, trying to convince him to turn himself in. But he refuses to go back to the hospital. Marlena tries to convince him to go back with her and become her patient and promises she will do what she can. He says thanks but no thanks…he is leaving now. Marlena says he is going no where as he tells her to step aside. She says he is not leaving there…unless he turns himself in. Freeze frame on Steve…as the previews show…
Celeste (to EJ): I curse you for what you did to my girl… (EJ): Your “girl” ran off with her boy toy…(Celeste): No, my daughter is dead and there is no doubt in my mind that you ordered her death…
Marlena maces Steve and tells Kayla to help her rope him up…as Kayla stares. (Marlena): What is wrong with you?...
Belle (on the phone): I want to call the U.S….the United States…what is the problem?...I can’t get my call through…(as Shawn, holding Claire, watches)…
And the credits roll…

Episode #: 10529Tape Date: 2/15/07
Air Date: 3/19/07
Director: Phil Sogard
Summary: This show is pretty fast-paced, with LOTS going on. Nick offers help to a desperate Willow…which infuriates Chelsea…Steve forces Billie to help him escape…as Kayla convinces Marlena to help her find him. They are hot on their trail…but they aren’t the only ones onto them…EJ has figured it out as well. And speaking of EJ, he seems to just be everywhere in everyone’s business (as usual).
At Mythic…
Lucas is with Kate with swatches of fabric from Sami. She sent them so Kate could have a coordinating dress made for the wedding. Kate is (of course) disgusted and doesn’t want any part of it, claiming she already has a dress and refuses to exchange it. She says that Sami KNOWS she would never wear that color and thinks she is up to something, as Lucas accuses her of being paranoid. Lucas says she is either with them or against them…which will it be? Kate says she only doesn’t like Sami’s fashion sense…she is happy to be invited to the wedding, but says she is NOT going to jump through hoops to make Sami happy. Lucas presses her and she finally gives in and says she will have another dress made. Happily, Lucas leaves as Kate curses Sami.
At Sami’s…She and Chelsea are with the dress maker for their fittings. Chelsea jokes asking if this will be the LAST time she will be a bridesmaid for Sami. Sami says it had better be (as the dress maker seconds it). Sami says if it doesn’t take this time, she is joining the Foreign Legion. Chelsea assures her it will all work out but Sami worries even though she says she is doing the right thing this time. Chelsea asks her about inviting Kate and Sami says she did it for Lucas’s sake and she would do anything for him. Chelsea asks how she could forgive Kate for all the things she has done to her as Sami explains that a lot of people have forgiven her (Sami) as well. Chelsea says she could never forgive her family (especially her mom) and hates them all now. Sami says she understands what Chelsea is going through and explains about catching Marlena and John having an affair. She says she never confronted them and kept it all inside and let it fester for years, causing her many problems. And now, he may die and never know how much she really cares for him. She advises Chelsea to not make the same mistakes she made…she should talk to Billie as soon as possible. But Chelsea says she doesn’t plan on forgiving her as Sami reminds her that she (Chelsea) has been forgiven for a number of things. There is a knock at the door as Chelsea opens it to find (who else?) EJ. He sees Sami in her slip and takes the time to oogle her. Chelsea excuses herself as Sami puts on her robe, asking what HE wants? He says he wants what he always wants and says she looks lovely. He references “our” baby and she tells him it is NOT “ours”. She tells him she has had an amnio and will have the proof soon. He says that as long as there is a chance the baby is his, he will be around. He then tells her that she has been a naughty girl…again. She says she is busy planning her wedding and doesn’t have time for this. They argue over who is the daddy of her baby and she says if it were his, she would be able to feel the horns sticking her (LOL). He refers to the baby by name (little Stefano) which makes Sami’s skin crawl. He warns her that she had better not be up to something and leaves.
At Billie’s…EJ (who is there before going to Sami’s) demands to know why Billie lied to him about being with Chelsea earlier. She says she lied because she wanted to be alone and didn’t want to talk to him. He asks if she received a package recently that was unexpected and she says yes, but she gave it to the super. Behind the door, Nick picks up a pepper mill as a weapon. EJ leaves and Steve tells her let’s go and informs her they are going down the fire escape. Before they leave, there is a knock at the door and Chelsea calls out several times for Billie, wanting to talk to her. Billie begs Steve to let her talk to Chelsea, but he tells her they have to go. Chelsea gives up and leaves as Billie begs him not to make her go with him, but he says he needs her help, plus he doesn’t trust her, afraid she will call the cops as soon as he leaves.
At the Mental Hospital…
Kayla is pacing the floor, talking on the phone with Roman as Marlena arrives. Kayla fills her in as Marlena tries to assure her that Steve will be okay. Kayla apologizes for what happened with John, saying he was just another victim of the DiMeras. They both wonder if they will get their husbands back. Kayla says that Stefano did the same things to John and turned him into a violent person as well. But Marlena says she was never afraid of John. Marlena talks about how dangerous Steve has become…taking John from the hospital and having Kayla remove his kidney. Kayla again says how sorry she is, but Marlena (anger in her voice) says not sorry enough to stop what was happening. Marlena says that Steve is dangerous, but Kayla says it is EJ that is the dangerous one…he is the one that forced Steve to do those things. Marlena remembers when she and John found Stefano and how sick he was and they both deduce that the kidney was for Stefano. About that time, EJ calls Kayla and informs her that he knows where Steve is…at Billie’s. Marlena wants to call Roman and let the police handle it, but Kayla stops her and wants to do it on her own, fearing the police will harm him. Marlena says if she is determined, then she is going with her, so they take off. Later, they arrive at Billie’s as Kayla bangs on the door. She takes out a hair pin and picks the lock and breaks in (she claims that Bo showed her how to do it once). She calls for Steve, but only finds his hospital garb, saying that they are gone. Kayla wants to go after them, but Marlena again wants to call Roman. As Marlena is dialing the phone, Kayla finds a map tucked behind the sofa cushion and shows it to Marlena. They study the map and are sure this is where they are headed. Kayla begs Marlena to go with her to find them. She says give her one hour and if they don’t find them, then they will call Roman. Marlena reluctantly agrees, saying she will give her one hour as the rush out the door.
At the Hopsital…Willow is talking with the doctor…she has just had a sonogram and is assured that the baby (a boy) is fine. She also gives her some information and a prescription for vitamins, assuring her that Hope Brady is covering the bills. Willow is looking at the pictures of the baby as Nick walks up. She starts boo-hooing and goes into a pity party about what is she going to do? She whines about having no money, no job, etc. and says how is she going to find another job?...use one of her old tricks as a reference? She says she is just a pregnant ex-hooker whose only real job lasted only 2 weeks. She says maybe she is getting just what she deserves. She says she never wanted to be a mother…poor kid. She gets up to leave and faints as Nick gets her water. She comes to as Nick says he will try to help her by calling Uncle Mickey and mentions subsidized housing. She is thanking him and hugging him…just as Chelsea walks up and sees them. She clears her throat as she and Willow begin exchanging insults. Chelsea tells her she needs to talk to Nick alone so Willow leaves, thanking Nick. Nick starts apologizing to Chelsea but she doesn’t want to hear it. She says she can never trust and/or forgive him. She tells him that he means nothing to her. He says that he still loves her but she tells him he can’t say that to her anymore…it is over between them and she will never forgive him. With that, she leaves.
Later, Willow is home looking at baby books and the baby’s sonogram picture again. She takes the jewelry out of the fridge, asking what is she supposed to do with it. There is a knock at her door and she opens it to find Chelsea, who warns her to stay away from Nick.
Back with Kate…
She is bitching and moaning to herself about Sami when EJ walks in. She shows him the fabrics, saying she wouldn’t cover a dog’s bed with them. She says that Sami is just trying to torture her…as usual. EJ says that Sami has more things on her mind that torturing Kate, which piques Kate’s curiosity. She asks WHAT is Sami up to and says she knows that Sami is hiding something and wants to know what it is. She also thinks that EJ has his own agenda, but he says they have the same agenda…and reminds her what the Godfather said…to keep your friends close, and your enemies even closer as he starts kissing her neck.
Back at Sami’s…Lucas comes home asking how everything went. He tells her that Kate loved the fabrics which surprises Sami. He asks Sami if all that was some kind of test and she says maybe it was. He says, well then, Kate passed. He says that they are having Kate’s grandchild and she wants to be a part of their lives…and that is what is important. Sami wants to go and take a shower, so Lucas suggests he join her. But the phone rings and it is Kate, who apologizes for upsetting him earlier. She has a wonderful idea and wants to have a bridal shower for Sami. He thinks it is a good idea and Kate asks him not to tell Sami…and make it a surprise. Lucas tells her he is so happy that she is trying to get along. She says she will call later and they can plan the details. As she gets off the phone, she shares a smile with EJ. Lucas tells Sami he has a surprise for her…one that she is going to love.
Billie and Steve…Are now on the road as a nervous Billie drives and keeps one eye on the rear view mirror. Steve looks for the map but can’t find it. She says maybe they left it behind and he becomes angry, accusing her of leaving it on purpose. She tells him he is being paranoid, besides, WHO would be in her apartment? He yells at her to pull over, she is getting out, but she says he isn’t putting her out in the middle of nowhere. They struggle over the steering wheel as the car swerves and Billie screams…and the previews show…
Willow (to Chelsea): I have heard that you are the suspected pyro…(Chelsea): That is so untrue…(Willow): Why, is Daddy covering for you, again?...
Kayla (to Marlena): How many more lives does EJ have to ruin before somebody stops him?...maybe I’ll have to be the one to stop him…
Gabby (to Belle): My father can marry the 2 of you right here on the island…unless…there is some reason you don’t want to…
Duck (to Shawn): So which is it…you just young and dumb…or do you have something to hide?...
As the credits roll…

Taped 2/15
Director - Herb Stein
Roman & Kayla search for Steve, as Sami befriends Chelsea, EJ torments everyone he meets in some way, while Billie agrees to help Steve and Celeste tries to warn Sami.
AT THE PENTHOUSE GRILL, Sami & Chelsea are having lunch, along with a heart to heart. Chelsea is pretty down on herself, & Sami knows what that is like, having done her share. She thinks she & Chelsea are alike in a lot of ways, get hurt, react without thinking, more or less shooting themselves in the foot. Assures her tho, that family is something one always has. Sami asks Chelsea to be a bridesmaid in her wedding, but Chelsea refuses. EJ stops by, hearing them talking of wedding plans, and asking Sami if she never learns. He goes to his own table nearby. Sami & Chelsea talk some more, and Chelsea agrees to stand up to the wedding. Celeste arrives, evidently sending a note to Sami, who takes off for the ladies room.
An Italian doctor arrives to meet EJ, and report on the progress that Stefano is making. (And EJ makes him fly all the way to Salem for this 3 minute conversation, because he wanted the report in person! That doctor’s time is worth nothing, I guess.) The doctor says Stefano has taken the transplant well, but there may be immune system disorders, and that he now may need a bone marrow transplant. (What, is Stefano to become another Bionic Man?) He asks EJ if there is another family member who might be willing to donate, and EJ says, “Perhaps”. The doctor says they will not know for about 2 weeks if it will be a problem. EJ warns him that Stefano’s life is the most important thing in HIS life, and thus he must have the best care. The doctor leaves.
Celeste has met secretly with Benjy, telling him that EJ is out of control, has taken the madness of the DiMeras too far, way beyond Stefano, with even Alexandra being a victim. It is time to put a stop to it. Benjy looks scared. (Jim Lumsford does a really great job, I must say, with no lines, just reactions!) Celeste mentions EJ’s intense interest in Sami’s unborn child, that it is very noticeable. Benjy signs that Stefano thinks Sami’s baby is a gift from God.
Sami meets Celeste in the Ladies room at the Penthouse Grill, surprised she came there, and telling her that EJ is at a table not 10 ft. from hers. Celeste tells her of her converstion with Benjy, warning her that once her child is born the DiMeras will take it away. Sami says she has a fool proof plan to have EJ think the baby is Lucas’s, no matter what. Celeste replies that EJ will not be fooled by any tricks. She urges Sami to consider doing away with EJ, but Sami is not a killer. She refuses. Celeste pressures her, but Sami says that as much as she hates EJ, she will not murder him. Celeste is insistent that she would be doing a good thing, ridding the world of complete evil. Sami tells her if she feels so strongly, then to do it herself! She leaves, warning Celeste not to let EJ see her.
While Sami is in the Ladies Room, EJ takes the opportunity to sit down with Chelsea, claiming he is worried about Sami. He mentions her fainting yesterday, and is concerned, just as a friend. Chelsea is on her guard. The man is really overly persistent in his questioning, then EJ mentions he thought she was at her mother’s, but Chelsea tells him that is not likely, as they are not speaking. She wants EJ to leave, so he tells her that just for the record, he does not think she set Bo’s house on fire, and that he is a big believer in innocent until proven, with emphasis on the proven, guilty. Just then, Roman & Kayla arrive, surprised to see EJ with Chelsea, but she says he was just leaving. Good, says Roman, as he is the one they want to see.
Earlier, Kayla had been at the hospital, calling everyone she knew to ask if they had seen Steve. Roman arrives. Kayla shows him the list, saying she has called nearly all. Roman notes Billie’s name not on there. Kayla was going to call Billie, but thinks really that EJ has Steve, and goes on and on about it. Roman tells her that Steve is is not the man she has always known, that he is now a stranger, and that stranger is dangerous to himself and to others. Roman decides to call Mythic and find out where EJ might be. Kayla does call Billie, who says she has been sick in bed all day with the flu.
So now Kayla & Roman sit down with EJ, asking about Steve. EJ is surprised, not knowing that Steve escaped. Kayla is not buying it, accuses EJ of the torture, etc. etc. EJ continues to deny knowing anything about Steve, mentioning the thing Steve had with Billie. Roman stops him cold, & Kayla tells him Billie has been in bed all day with the flu. EJ tells them he is tired of the Brady harrassment, and just may get a restraining order for the entire family. Roman tells him to go ahead. EJ says he will put his own feelers out and if he finds Steve, will bring him personally to the station. Roman & Kayla leave. EJ leaves.
Chelsea tells Sami about EJ questioning her, says EJ creeps her out, and wants to know why he is so interested in her. Sami remembers her wedding dress fitting, they are late, and tells Chelsea they have to leave now. We see Celeste walking by and getting onto the elevator. Oops, EJ is on the phone, turns around and spots Celeste just as the elevator door is closing.
ROMAN & KAYLA have returned to the mental hospital, and toss Steve’s room, looking for a clue perhaps as to where he might have gone. The task is fruitless, naturally, and Roman mentions having to call University Hospital. Why, says Kayla. Oh, Roman wants to be sure there are guards around John, so there is no repeat. (John, who is John? Wait a second, I do vaguely recall a character by that name. So, he is still around, huh? And yes, I am being sarcastic) Kayla does not think there would be a repeat of that, but asks Roman if he will call Marlena. She says to “tell her I need her help”.
IN BILLIE’S APT., she is shocked to see Steve. He asks for her help, needing money, clothes, and a car. Knock, Knock at the door. Steve does not want her to answer, but she tells him she had a big fight with Chelsea and it might be her. She opens the door, to find the perennial nosy neighbor, EJ, at the door. (This guy puts Alice Kravitz to shame. From Betwitched). EJ has a meeting at Penthouse Grill, and wants her to meet him afterwards for a bite to eat. Billie tells him Chelsea is there, they are talking. EJ blathers a bit and leaves. An angry Steve wonders how long Billie has been seeing EJ. Billie denies, saying they have a business project they are working on. He asks again about clothes, but she has none, does have spare key to Lucas’s. Nope, Steve is afraid she might call someone from there, or Lucas could return. Now the phone rings. He does not want her to answer, but again she pleads it might be Chelsea. But it is Kayla, asking if she has seen Steve. Billie says no, she has been in bed all day with the flu, & promised to call if she sees him. Steve asks again about some clothes, & Billie finally remembers some old sweats that might work. She comes out with the clothes, and finds him marking a map, and asks what he is doing. Plotting the route he can take out of town. She babbles a bit, and he realizes she is afraid of him, and she admits it. Steve pleads with her, and she agrees to help him, saying she will pack some food for them, and they can be off.
They are all packed and ready to walk out the door. She opens it…..yep, there is that nosy neighbor (EJ) again, wanting to know why she lied about Chelsea being there, as he just saw her at the Penthouse Grill. Freeze frame on Steve’s face behind the door. And the previews show…….
Kayla to Marlena: If I get Steve home safe & sound, is he ever gonna be the same?
EJ: Samantha, have you’ve been a naughty girl again. (Oh, give me a break, this is getting tiresome)
Nick: I love you
Chelsea: No, you don’t get to say that to me anymore
Steve & Billie are in a car.
Steve: Pull over
Billie: No, you’re not leaving me here in the middle of no where
Steve, angrily: I said, Pull over, as he tries to grab the wheel
Billie: No, Steve………and we hear a screech of brakes, with a white light blotting out the scene

Tape Date: 2/14/07
Air Date: 3/15/07
Director: Albert Alarr
Summary: Sami and Lucas offer Chelsea a place to stay…Shawn and Belle find assistance on the island…EJ continues to torment Willow and Sami…Steve uses Kayla to escape the hospital.
On the Island…Gabby offers Shawn food, but he will only accept coffee. He thanks her but says as soon as Claire is feeling better they will be on their way. Belle comes down excited that Claire is feeling much better. Gabby brings them coffee and asks if Belle if she and Claire are hungry. She goes to the kitchen to get them something to eat. Shawn tells Gabby they are leaving, they are broke and can’t afford food or shelter. She tells him if he changes his mind, let her know. Belle comes back asking how they are going to leave, their raft is in splinters. But he tells her he will handle it, even though Belle isn’t too proud to accept help…and tells him that she and Claire are staying. He says he can’t accept help, he feels like a bum and a loser and that Duck looks at him as Victor does. Gabby tosses him a rope and tells him to tie some kind of knot. After he does, she asks him if he has ever worked on a boat before. She has an old one that needs to be fixed up. After a bunch of boat talk (with some words I have never heard before and probably never will again, lol) she tells him she will order the parts if he can fix it. The parts will take about a week or so to get there from Guam. Belle jumps in and says he can fix it, so Gabby offers free room and board in exchange for the work. Shawn says they will stay only if it’s okay with Duck, who isn’t too happy about it. Shawn says if he doesn’t want them there, they will leave, but he relents and says just keep the kid quiet and stay out of his way. Gabby tells them that he is really a nice guy, he just has a rough exterior and talks about how he helped so many people after the tsunami. Shawn is rip-roaring to get to work, but she tells them to go and rest first. Shawn asks her why she is helping them and she says she likes his face…he has a kind face and knows he is honest and hard working. After they go back to their room, Duck tells her she is wasting her time…they are a couple and have a kid. She comments that she didn’t see a ring.
At the Y…Willow is searching the apartment for the check when EJ shows up. She accuses him of taking it. He tells her that setting fire to the Brady’s house wasn’t part of the bargain and that he doesn’t do business with a psychotic arsonist. He says when it comes to people like her, he either avoids them…or eliminates them. Which one will it be with her? She tries to explain that it was an accident and shows him the bag of jewelry she took, but he isn’t interested. He asks if he has to draw her a bloody picture…they never met and she is to keep her mouth shut. She tells him they will never be connected to the fire, she set someone else up to take the fall. He says he is somewhat impressed, so she wants her money, but he says he isn’t going to pay her. He says he is teaching her a lesson…to never trust anyone. He asks what is she going to do…go to the police? It finally sinks in to her that he was never going to pay her and was just using her all along. On his way out, he tells her to never contact him again as she breaks down crying.
At the Mental Ward…Steve is pacing his cell when the orderly brings Kayla in. Steve tells her to leave and yells for them to come get her. But she tells him she knows the truth and is going to help him, even though he doesn’t want her help. He is upset, saying she sold him out, then had him locked up there…and NOW she wants to save him? She says she will leave whenever he tells her what she needs to know about EJ. He plays dumb, but she says she checked the visitor log and knows that EJ came to visit him. She tells him to stop being a horse’s ass and tell her the truth…why was EJ there? She says she loves him and will do whatever it takes to get him back. She says she isn’t afraid of EJ and will not back down. Steve tells her to just forget about him…walk out and don’t look back, as she calls him a coward. She talks about how disappointed she is in him for giving up, hoping that the real Steve would return. He swears that he still has fight left in him, but he will do this himself. She says she knows he is just acting like he doesn’t care, but what about Stephanie?...how will she feel? Steve asks her not to tell her about this, but Kayla says she is going to. Steve says she would give up everything and come back and if Kayla tells her, he will never forgive her. Kayla asks what she should tell her when she calls and he tells her to make something up…or he will call her himself. Kayla is upset that she can’t get through to him and tells him that the gloves are off. He grabs her and shakes her asking if she is afraid of him…and if not, then she should be. He continues to shake her and she calls for the orderly. When he comes in, Steve covers her mouth and tells the orderly he has a knife in her back. He makes his way to the door, then pushes her back inside with the orderly and locks the door and rushes off.
At Billie’s…Sami and Lucas are there with her waiting on news about Chelsea. Billie has convinced herself that Chelsea is responsible for the fire and will end up in jail. She walks in but wants nothing to do with Billie, telling Sami and Lucas that Bo thinks she is guilty. Lucas and Sami try to comfort her but she is sure she is the #1 suspect. Billie jumps in, but Chelsea tells her to just leave her alone…she is not her mother and goes off on her saying “hey everyone…meet my biological mother…Billie Reed…the failure…the addict…the back-stabbing slut…” as Lucas tells her enough and to shut up. He and Sami try to calm Chelsea down, assuring her that they are all family and they will stand by her. Chelsea tells them she isn’t staying, she just came by to pick up some things. Sami and Lucas try to convince her to call Bo and Hope but she says she can’t stay with them either. Billie grabs her and shakes her, calling her a spoiled brat. Then Billie starts crying, saying she loves her and would do anything for her…even die if she had to (which sounds like a pretty good idea to Chelsea). Lucas offers to let her stay with him and Sami (in their constantly growing apartment) as long as it’s okay with Billie. Billie has something to say before they leave, and reminds Chelsea that when everyone turned against her, SHE was the one that stood beside her and showed her nothing but love. She only asks for some consideration, but Chelsea doesn’t want to hear it. She leaves with Sami as Lucas consoles Billie. EJ arrives and talks to Billie about Bo & Hope’s fire, saying that it is a good business opportunity and urges her to make a hard sell on Bo for her security system. She tells him not now. They explain that Chelsea was questioned by the police. He tells her if she needs anything to let him know, but Lucas tells him thanks but no thanks…Billie has him and Kate, they don’t need EJ. Before he leaves, he again urges Billie to call Bo. After he is gone, Lucas says he would LOVE to punch him in the face. In the hallway, he runs into Sami, asking if she has the results of her amnio yet…daddy is waiting. She tells him to lay off as Lucas comes out and EJ retreats to his apartment. Sami tells Lucas that Chelsea cried herself to sleep and Lucas thanks her for taking Chelsea in. They kiss in the hall (as EJ watches them from his doorway...wouldn't you just LOVE to see someone slam that door on his head?). On their way in, Sami cuts EJ an evil look. Back in her apartment, Billie mopes around. She hears someone call her name and turns around to find Steve standing there. Freeze frame on a shocked Billie…as the previews show…
Steve (to Billie): How long have you and Wells being seeing each other?...
Kayla (to EJ): You could care less about Steve…You have no respect for human life…you don’t care about anyone but yourself. So if you made a special trip to the hospital to see him…it was for some other reason and I want you to tell me right now what it was…
Celeste (to Sami): You will never see your child once it is born…because the DiMeras will absolutely take it away from you…
And the credits roll…

Tape date - 3/13
Director - Herb Stein
It is finder’s day, as Chelsea is located by her friends, Philip is found by Kate, while Shawn & Belle find help for Claire.
Outside the Brady house, Hope is talking to Bo & Billie about the fire. She mentions the door being jimmied open, and Billie wonders if Chelsea could have started the fire. Hope is surprised, and Bo just beats around the bush at first, but Billie finally tells of Chelsea finding out about her one night stand with Nick. Cue a shocked Hope. Billie goes on about being dumped and drinking the bottle of wine, Nick coming over, etc. They go to Billie’s apt. but Chelsea is not there either. Bo gets a phone call from Abby.
Kate comes into St. Luke’s, and is greeted by the priest. She knows she has not been there for a while, but is doing a reading for the wedding Mass (HUH? Boy, Sami really has done a turnaround to have her doing that!) and she wants to practice. (Just an aside, but I do readings for Mass, and certainly do not need 6 weeks lead time to practice! ) The priest tells her that God had another purpose for sending her tonight, and points out Philip, who is kneeling at the altar rail. She joins him, and learns Philip is praying for Claire. He is tormented, thinking she might still be alive, and out there, lost. Kate now has a heart to heart talk with her son. He mentions how Victor wanted him to be ruthless in his quest to gain custody of Claire, and he constantly called him, with Victor praising him. But when he came home empty handed, Victor wasted no time expressing his disapproval. Kate tells him that Victor wants him to be exactly like Victor (Why is Philip calling him Victor and not DAD??) and he cannot do that, as he is who he is. And to remember he is also a Roberts. She wants him to be his own man, and to begin by making peace with Bo & Hope. Philip doubts that would be successful, but Kate is confident, telling him to drop the idea of total custody, tell Bo & Hope he wants to work out visitation, etc. Then she tells him that when Claire returns, he is going to need family, all the support they can provide. And to start rejoining his family, by having dinner with her, Lucas, Sami & Billie tomorrow night. Philip is reluctant, but Kate is persistent, and he finally agrees. Tomorrow Chez Rouge.
Shawn goes rushing thru what appears to be an empty island bar, yelling for help, when a guy comes out pointing a rifle at him. Shawn is soaking wet, and tries to explain about his little girl being sick and needing help. He doesn’t believe Shawn, but agrees to go down to the beach to check it out. Later, they return with Belle & Claire, and he pulls out a first aid kit from under the bar, saying he had a bit of medical training when he was in Nam. Shawn & Belle claim they were vacationing on his boat, and a storm came up, and they were washed overboard. A young gal comes out, saying she is Gabriella, Gabby for short, and sends “Duck” to get Doctor Mulder. Shawn wonders why a doctor would be working on such a remote island, and she explains that losing your medical license does not allow you to practice medicine on Park Avenue. (Hmmm, interesting she would even know about Park Avenue. ) She goes on that a doctor would then come to a remote island like Tinda Lao (O.K. so I am an old movie fan, and I can see in my mind a very sultry Hedy LaMarr saying “My name is Tanda Lao” in some old movie. I think it may have been White Cargo…tho not sure. LOL) Claire is running a temperature of 103 and it is rising. She gets some cold cloths, and Claire is crying pretty loudly. Gabby invites Belle to her room to get some dry clothes so she will not catch pneumonia. Later, the doctor is there, along with Duck, Belle, Shawn & Gabby, and giving Claire a shot of penicillin. (Hmm, now how does a doctor with no medical license get penicillin?). He then wants $50 for the house call. Shawn explains that they lost all their money when they went overboard. Gabby gives them $50 from the till, amid Duck’s protests. She tells him to take it from her tips. Duck wonders what Shawn & Belle are going to do now, and Shawn says he thought they could stay there. Nope, says Duck. Gabby insists they can, plenty of rooms. Shawn claims he will wash dishes, fix anything, etc. Duck tells him he could not even fix his boat, so cannot be much good. Gabby takes Belle & Claire to the kitchen for some bananas for the baby, giving Duck & Shawn a chance to chat a bit. Duck obviously does not want them around. Later Belle comes out, having put Claire down to sleep. She wants to stay, as they have not had roof over their heads, or slept in a real bed in some time. Shawn agrees to stay just one night.
Hope has said good-bye to Bo, wishing him luck, and goes back into Billie's apt. She is beating herself up, and Hope listens. Billie talks on, as she opens a bottle of wine. Hope convinces her that is not what she really wants to do, that she needs to forgive herself, and Billie agrees. She pours the wine down the sink.
Nick comes rushing up to Abby at the garage. Abby explains that Jed called her, and Chelsea has locked herself in the office. Abby tells Nick to wait outside, and she will try and get Chelsea open the door. She succeeds, and they argue a bit, as Chelsea goes on about Billie, her b bordello, and says once a whore, always a whore, and calling Billie the devirginator. LOL. Nick bursts in, and Chelsea now screams at Abby that she said she was alone. Abby said she was, that Nick was outside. Now Chelsea screams at them both, calling them both liars. (and you never were, huh, Chelsea?) Nick says he has always been her friend, even when she treated him like crap. Yep, she agrees, calling him her superhero, and he says he still is. He offers her his debit card, telling her to take everything he has, whatever she needs. She wants to go to Chicago. He will even give her his pin number, drive her to the ATM. She doesn’t trust him, thinking he will take her to Billie’s or something. He tells her she can drive. Abby has snuck outside, and called Bo, telling him she found Chelsea at the garage. (Man, that white car is still in the garage, it seems that poor owner is never gonna get it back.Ha)
Chelsea agrees to drive Nick’s car, taking his keys. She is about to leave, when Abby stops her. They say their good-byes, with Chelsea promising to send her a post card from the Windy City. Now Bo arrives, and Chelsea goes into another rant at Nick, who she believes betrayed her again, but Abby admits she was the one who called him. He asks why she did not stop by his house, but she says she did, no light in the window for her, so she wrote him a note and slipped it under the door. Bo tells her the investigators found no note. Chelsea is uncomprehending, as Bo tells of the fire. Chelsea asks about the baby, and Bo tells her that her baby sister is safe, Hope got her out o.k. Chelsea is glad all o.k. and learns the fire was confined to one small area of living room, was put out quickly. She comments that accidents happen, and she is glad all is well. Bo says, not an accident, arson. Chelsea is shocked, wondering what twisted mind would……..and the light bulb goes on, as she realizes she is suspected. She is angry, and begins yelling at him. Bo yells right back, telling her that this is not about Billie, him & Hope or Zack. He wants to know exactly what she did, when and where. And not the Chelsea version, but the God’s honest truth. And the previews show…..
EJ (in full beard again) to Willow: I make it a rule not to do any business with psychotic arsonists. I either avoid them or eliminate them. Which is it going to be with you?
Duck to Gabby: You’re wasting your time, honey. They’re a couple. Leave the guy alone.
Billie to Chelsea: I could die for you, Chelsea. It’s probably what you want me to do right now.
Chelsea: You’re right.
Steve, who has his hand over Kayla’s mouth, and she is struggling….to the orderly: I’ve got a knife in her back, dude. I’m gonna use it if you get in my way.

Tape Date: 2/12/07
Air Date: 3/13/07
Director: Roger W. Inman
Summary: Sami turns to Nick for help…Chelsea prepares to leave town for good…EJ is up to his usual evil antics…and our favorite pyromaniac strikes again, this time endangering Hope and the baby. Also of note, Baby Brady’s name (Ciara Alice) is finally mentioned on air.
At Willow’s…
Jed takes the check to her place as he promised and hides it under the mattress. But EJ shows up, asking who he is and why he is there. Jed explains that he is Willow’s brother and is doing her a favor. EJ lies, telling him he is the manager and he isn’t allowed there and tells him to leave…he will lock up. After Jed leaves, EJ snoops around and finds the check under the mattress. Before he leaves, he burns it and flushes it down the toilet.
At Billie’s…
Sami shows up to see Nick. She asks for his help, wanting him to fake a paternity test. Nick doesn’t want to help her and questions her, but she swears that Lucas is the father. She gives him the run around and he doesn’t want to go along with it, fearing he could lose his job if anyone found out. She begs for his help and eventually falls to pieces and starts crying. He finally gives in, telling her that he will get her a blank report but that is all he will do…she can do the rest. He says he can get it in the morning, but she wants him to go do it right now. He explains that he has to wait there for Chelsea, so Sami says she will stay and wait. Just as he is going to leave, he opens the door to find Lucas there, asking where she has been and what is going on. Nick says he has to run an errand and leaves as Sami explains to Lucas that she was just upset. Lucas wants to know the truth, but she says she can’t explain what she is feeling. He urges her to talk to a professional, saying her mother can find someone for her. He wants her to go home with her, but she says she has to stay there and wait for Chelsea and that she will be home soon. Nick returns later with the form and she thanks him for his help, saying she will never forget it. As she leaves, she runs into EJ in the hallway and hides the form behind her back. He starts harassing her and she gets upset and faints as EJ calls out for Lucas. Later, they are both with her as she comes to. She claims that she is okay, she just hadn’t eaten today and got a little light headed. She had dropped her purse and sees the form on the floor. EJ offers to help, but she tells him to just leave. After he is gone, she gathers her things as she and Lucas go into their apartment. EJ watches from his doorway, smiling.
At the Brady House…Hope is with the baby (who finally has a name…other than ‘doodlebug’). She calls her Ciara Alice and explains that Ciara was the queen of something or other and that Alice is the queen of the Horton clan…she is sure that she will do both of them proud. She puts her down for a nap as Chelsea arrives outside, hoping that Bo will talk to her. She figures that her dad doesn’t want to see her…no one loves her and she is just going to leave town. But before she goes, she sits down on the stoop to write him a goodbye letter. Willow is lurking in the bushes and listens as Chelsea reads the note back to herself. In her letter, she apologizes to Bo and Hope for all the problems she has caused them and hopes that she can make it up to them someday. She slips the note under the door, says a goodbye and leaves. After she is gone, Willow sneaks up and looks inside. As she is breaking in, the phone rings inside and Hope answers as Willow rushes off. It is Bo calling to ask Hope if she has seen Chelsea, to which she says no and he tells her that she may be coming by. After they finish, Hope takes Ciara upstairs to change her. Willow comes back to the door and as she tries again, HER cell phone rings. She rushes off again to answer it and it is EJ, asking what she is doing. After she gets off the phone, she goes back and breaks in and snoops around the living room. She hears Hope upstairs and hides as Hope comes down for the diaper bag. After she goes back up, Willow lights a candle and begins snooping around. Later, we see her with a handful of jewelry and she drops it. She sits the candle down to gather it up and the curtains burst into flames. She panics and runs out the door, but stops long enough to leave Chelsea’s hairbrush behind, saying she knew it would come in handy. Later, we see Hope rush outside with Ciara and calling 911. Her next call is to Bo, telling him about the fire and assuring him that they are fine. He says he will be right home.
Meanwhile at the Garage…Chelsea goes back there looking for Abby and/or Max, hoping she can spend the night there. She runs into Jed who offers to help her out. She is quite rude to him, assuring him she can take care of herself. He breaks in for her and then leaves. She goes in and makes a place to sleep when her cell phone rings, it is Bo calling trying to find her.
Bo meets with Billie…
As she asks him for his help with Chelsea. She explains how she hurt Chelsea but before she finishes, Bo pieces it together and figures out that Billie slept with Nick. She explains about getting drunk and how it was just a stupid mistake. She says that Nick really cares for Chelsea and tells him about Chelsea finding out and getting upset. She fears what Chelsea may do. She says she has no money and no where to go. She asks Bo to reach out to Chelsea, maybe he can talk sense into her. Abby calls and tells Billie that she talked to Chelsea and that she was going to Bo’s. (This is when Bo called Hope to see if Chelsea had been there yet). When he finds out she hasn’t been there, he calls Chelsea asking where she is. He tells her that he loves her and offers to come and get her and they can talk…she can go home with him. He also tells her that he called Hope and she agrees that Bo should give her a break. He asks where she is, but she won’t tell him…and starts crying that everyone just lies to her and she is going to go somewhere away from everyone. She hears Billie in the background and gets upset. But Bo begs her to come to his house. But she tells him that the bus is there and hangs up on him. Bo offers to go with Billie to look for her.
Bo had gotten the call from Hope as he and Billie are now there and the fire is out. Willow goes back to her place and stashes the jewelry in the fridge and goes to get the check and discovers it is not there. Nick is at Billie’s holding Chelsea’s picture regretting all he has done…as Chelsea (all alone at the garage) covers up, crying. Back at the Brady’s, Hope asks who could have done this to them…who would want to hurt them as Bo says “good question”…the camera pans over as we see the brush on the floor…and the previews show…
Billie (to Hope): It’s me…I am the reason Chelsea ran away…I had a one night stand with Nick…
Chelsea: I never want to see Nick Fallon’s lying face again…
Philip (to Kate): I have to face it mom…I failed Claire…I failed myself…
Shawn (in a house?): Is anybody here?...as some guy with a gun asks, Who the hell are you?...
And the credits roll…

Taped 2/12/07
Director - James Baffico
Celeste urges Sami to eliminate EJ, Max invites Abby to dinner, EJ visits Steve, while Chelsea has a meltdown after learning about her mom & Nick.
At the mental hospital, the orderly brings Steve to a visitors’ room, telling him to remember “no contact” and to behave. In comes EJ, saying he was surprised to get the call. Steve wants out, but EJ is annoyed that Steve was on his way out of town, when his wife had him committed. Steve denies, saying he was ditching Kayla in order to be more available to EJ, that she was asking too many questions. EJ retorts that Kayla came to his office accusing him of having EJ kidnap John and harvest his kidney. Steve assures him he never told Kayla, she was only speculating. EJ says if Steve cannot control his wife, he will. Steve gets angry, and the orderly restrains him, but EJ says all is o.k. Steve tells him he will kill him if he touches a hair of Kayla’s head. EJ says he wants only one thing, for Steve to stop fighting him. Is that all, sure enough, agreed. EJ tells him he will see what he can do about getting him out, and to be patient, then leaves.
Now we see Dr. Kraft confronting Steve about her stolen phone, and Steve denies. The orderly pats him down, finds the phone, and Steve apologizes, saying it won’t happen again. Dr. Kraft assures him it won’t, tells the orderly to take Steve back to his room and put the strait jacket back on him. Steve protests to no avail.
At the garage, Max thanks Abby for all her help, and then invites her out for a bite to eat. They decide on the Penthouse Grill, and she looks up the number to reserve a table, as he goes to wash up. She circles the ad in the yellow pages, happy to be going out with Max. Meanwhile, at the Penthouse Grill, Willow is having dinner with her brother, urging him to leave the campus dorm, move in with her, so they can save money. He wants to know where she got that big check, and why. (Gee, EJ signed it, didn’t he? Is there not a name at the top of the check?) She says it is for just an errand, then asks him to slip it under her mattress so she can deposit it tomorrow, assuring him that if he says he is her brother coming to pick something up for her, he can get a pass. He agrees and puts the check in his pocket. Willow spots Max & Abby coming in, so Jed goes over to say hi. Max invites him and Willow to join them, much to Abby’s dismay. She interjects, and Jed takes the hint. Max and Abby talk a bit about whether this is a date, yada, yada, lots of small talk.
Abby spots her Aunt Maggie coming in, and gets nervous. Now she goes over to Jed’s table, apologizing for how she acted earlier and inviting him & Willow to join them. Willow declines, saying she has to leave, and Abby brings Jed to her table, seating him next to her. When Maggie spots them, she assumes Abby is with Jed, lol, comes over to say Hi, then leaves, telling Jed to be good to her niece.
Dinner arrives, and they just begin to eat, with Maggie sitting at another table, watching them. LOL. When Chelsea comes in, Abby gets up to talk to her.
Earlier, Nick, Billie & Chelsea, at the apt., are all arguing, accusing, explaining, with Chelsea totally upset and refusing to listen to anyone. Billie tries to take blame, telling Chelsea how she was upset over Steve’s letter, and drank an entire bottle of wine. She mentions how Chelsea called and told her to get rid of Nick, and how he came over, saw her condition and listened to her. Everything was her fault, but Chelsea does not want to hear anything. She is crying and leaves the room. Nick knows Billie was right about how Chelsea would react, and tells Billie he was about to tell Chelsea everything, when he realized that, and stopped. Billie claims when she saw them, she just assumed he had told her. It is too late. Out comes Chelsea with a packed suitcase (sure is a small one!) and she is leaving. Billie begs her to stay, but Chelsea tells her it was a mistake to ever think she could take the place of her real mother. Billie, shocked, says she IS her real mother, but Chelsea says, “you are nothing to me”, goodbye Billie. She leaves.
Later, Nick has called Abby, to tell her briefly what happened, whileBillie is leaving a message on Chelsea’s cell, and both she and Nick claim they have called everyone they know and have no idea where she went. Billie doesn’t think Chelsea went to Bo, but knows she has to tell him, and cannot do that over the phone. Nick tells her to then call him and meet him somewhere to tell in person. Meanwhile, Chelsea has gone to the garage to look for Abby, and finds no one there. (Do they not ever lock the doors to that place?) She spots the phone book with the circled ad for the Penthouse Grill, and heads over there.
Chelsea & Abby go into the Ladies Room where a crying Chelsea tells Abby all about her woes, and says she is leaving town. Abby tries to talk her out of it, telling her to go talk to her dad, but Chelsea says her dad hates her. And now we see Willow is a stall, (with a door to the floor so one can’t see her feet) listening to every word. Chelsea mentions what a mess she looks, and does a bit of a repair job. She tells Abby she will keep in touch with her best friend and they both leave. Out comes Willow, who spots a hairbrush on the sink, picks it up, as we can see plans forming on her face.
At the church, Celeste continues to urge Sami to kill EJ, as it will be the only way to stop him. Sami cannot think of killing a man in cold blood, but Celeste says he is not a man, he is Satan, and will destroy her. Celeste tries to convince Sami that EJ has murdered Lexie, but Sami says Lexie might have just gone off with Tek. Nope, says Celeste, she would never abandon Theo. Celeste warns her that even if the baby is Lucas’s that will not be the end, that EJ has chosen her, wants HER, and will not rest until she has given him his son. Celeste promises to help, saying they are in this together, and having been Stefano’s mistress, she knows how these things are done. She reminds Sami that she has to change the power situation, that EJ wants HER, and she should use that to gain power over him. Get him to go to some secluded, out of the way place, and no one will ever know. Sami still protests, and says no.
Later, Sami bursts into EJ’s office, telling him, o.k. she will do it, she will get the amnio, but wants something in return. What if the baby is Lucas’s? EJ says he would not ever bother her again, but if it is his, then they are bonded together forever.
We see Sami calling someone, saying she has to see them, it is urgent.
Chelsea calls Bo, leaving a message that she knows he is mad at her, but she has to talk to him and is coming over right now. She gets into the elevator……and we see Willow, who has heard every word, smiling the Cheshire cat smile. Freeze Frame, and the previews show:
Sami to an astonished Nick: I’m desperate. I need test results that show the baby I’m carrying is Lucas’s. That’s not too tough, right?
Bo to Billie: You did NOT sleep with Nick Fallon, did you?
Chelsea: Good-bye, Salem. Good-bye, Dad. (she appears to be on a bus or plane seat)
Willow, at Bo’s house: Oh, No, no!!! As she looks in horror at flames engulfing curtains on a window, and we hear Hope’s voice from upstairs saying, “Bo, Hello, is someone there?”

Taped 2/8/07
Director - Phil Sogard
Chelsea learns the truth, Celeste shocks Sami with her solution, Max complains to Abby about his shortcomings, Kayla confronts EJ, while a stubborn Steve has an ulterior motive for cooperating with his doctor.
Billie is at the garage, frantically trying to reach Chelsea (instead of going home, where she knows Chelsea is) who is not picking up her phone. Abby comes in, and Billie complains to her. Abby tells her Nick never told her about their one night stand, she guessed. Billie rushes off, and in comes Max. She asks if he has talked to Mimi, but no, only Connor, who said Mimi does nothing but sit around her apt. all day, is very morose, etc. (wonder how Mimi has money for an apt. if she does just that?) He is beating himself up over not being more supportive of Mimi, and then goes on how he bails on gals once they begin to get serious or rely on him too much, citing Stephanie and Chelsea as examples. Abby is, of course, very supportive, making Max feel better, and he ask her to help him take something out of the engine, which means holding the lamp. They both smile at each other a lot.
Kayla barges into EJ’s office, asking what he has done to her husband. EJ denies he has done anything, and as she accuses, he just tapdances around the truth, in the smarmy manner he has. She tells him that John Black took care of him as a baby, loved him, and how could he shoot him. EJ denies. She talks of the brainwashing and torture that Steve has endured. EJ denies. She talks of the kidney removal he forced Steve to arrange, and he denies again. He tells Kayla she has been spending too much time around her husband, and the delusions must be contagious. She promises to find out just what that kidney was supposed to be used for, and EJ warns her that “accidents happen to people with the very best of intentions”.
Chelsea is napping on the sofa, as Nick knocks on the door. He comes in, and Nick nervously says he has something to tell her. He is hesitant, but brings up how he said he was not a virgin. Chelsea breaks in, as most Days characters do, with her own version of what he wants to say….that it wasn’t true, and he still IS a virgin, which he denies. He tells there there was a woman…..and it was a WOMAN. So Chelsea now babbles that she gets it, was older……and oohhh, my, Nick, you slept with a married woman. One who has a husband. No, says the bumbling Nick, as he tries to get it out, but Chelsea says it does not matter. That both of them, together, are all that matters, that they will not ever bring it up again, etc. etc. They go into a big hug, as Billie bursts in, sees the hug, and blurts out “Nick, did you tell her”. Chelsea is confused, then flashes back to a scene at the house when she came down, finding Nick with Billie, and asked what he was doing back there. She has the proverbial light bulb moment, realizing it was her mom with whom Nick slept. She is horrified, angry, upset, slaps Nick across the face, and buries her face in her hands as Billie claims she can explain.
Steve is struggling to free himself from the straight jacket, as Dr. Ella Kraft comes in with an orderly. She has the orderly wait outside, and as she makes a few comments to Steve, or asks questions, he gives his smart mouth answers, getting him no where. He insists he is sane. She asks why he kidnapped John Black, and had his kidney removed. Steve doesn’t know. They talk, as she explains she is his only way out of there, and she has to tell the judge various facts etc. Steve is much calmer now. She gets a call on her cell, which Steve eyes. He wants out of the jacket, and she says, only if medicated. He says no, she says it will be a mild one, and he then agrees. She has to put it in his mouth and also give him the water from a bottle. (Really was handy that it was there in the room, when she only came in with a clipboard chart. LOL) She calls the orderly to remove the jacket, he does and leaves. Now Steve acts sort of dizzy and falls against her. She helps him to lay on the bed, and the orderly comes back in. All is well says the doc. Steve says it was probably the medication she gave him, she tells him to rest, and they leave. Steve pulls her phone from his pocket, and immediately calls EJ. (amazing he has EJ’s cell phone number committed to memory) EJ answers, and Steve says “I’m in hell. You gotta get me out of here. EJ breaks into a very nasty grin.
At the church, Sami wonders how Celeste knew Sami was there. Ah, the cards told her, she says. She talks of coming anyway, even after what Sami did to her daughter, and also talks of Lexie & Tek being gone. Sami wants to know what the cards say about her. Celeste tells her that EJ wants her child, and intends to have it. She then goes on as to how the DiMeras have to continue the line, the legacy, and that Stefano had an obsession for her mother, and now EJ has “chosen” her. Sami asks why EJ would choose her to have his “Bad Seed”, & tells her how EJ gave her 48 hrs. to have an amnio, or he will tell Lucas everything. Celeste reminds her of the interest Tony took in her at one time, and what did she think he wanted. He always wanted an heir, a son to carry on the DiMera name, and she was the one to provide it. Sami asks how she saved Lexie, how she kept Lexie from Stefano’s clutches. Ah, Lexie was a woman, and tho Stefano loved his children, he needs a male heir. He took EJ from his mother, and groomed him. And now EJ has chosen Sami to have his child. Sami talks of getting test results changed if it turned out the baby was his. Celeste knows EJ would see right through that ploy. She warns Sami that even if the child is Lucas’s or is a girl, that EJ will not stop, that it will happen again. Sami realizes that and says that is why she wanted Lucas to pick up stakes and move away. Celeste tells her that would never stop EJ. Sami panics, wanting to know what she can possibly do. Celeste tells her EJ will never stop, he chose Sami, and there is only one thing she can do to keep EJ away from her, and that is to kill him. And the previews show:
Chelsea: What mother would do this to her own daughter
Billie: I made a mistake
Chelsea: You’re nothing to me
EJ: Unless you can handle your own wife, I need to take some medicine to my own house
Steve: If you touch one hair on her head, I will kill you
Celeste to Sami: In the name of my daughter, we are going to rid the world of Stefano’s heir.

Director: Phil Sogard
Summary: Nick wants to tell Chelsea the truth, but no one agrees with him. Willow finds a job, that she didn’t really want. Sami almost tells Lucas everything.
Sorry this is so late, it wasn’t intentional!
Nick rushes into the garage looking for Abby. Apparently he had called ahead and told her he had news. Aunt Maggie needs help in five minutes, so he needs to make it quick. He asks her what he wanted most in the world, after a ride on the space shuttle. Abby is very disbelieving, but he goes on about how life-changing it was. She wants details, so he gives her a condensed version (complete with science lesson). Abby is very cynical, thinking that Chelsea is playing him in revenge for hurting her. Apparently, Chelsea holds grudges. Nick tries to defend her, but Abby seems very nasty about it. He tells her that Chelsea is going to be able to trust him, and he is going to tell her everything, including sleeping with her mom. She tells him not to tell her, she will hate him forever. Nick refuses to lie to her, or not tell her. He is certain it is a bomb waiting to explode. He wants to tell her before she finds out from someone else. Abby still wants him to keep quiet. She is mad that he will ruin Chelsea’s relationship with her mom over a crush. She walks out on him, leaving him bewildered (and me, too, this doesn’t seem like our Abby).
Abby gets to Chez Rouge and Maggie puts her to work folding napkins. She talks about a jerk who doesn’t care about breaking hearts, so Maggie assumes it is Max and starts questioning. Abby tells her it is Nick she is mad at. He is going to ruin two people’s lives. Maggie tries to give her advice, but without knowing the situation, she can’t do much. Can’t Abby or someone else stop him? Abby promises to come back and fold every napkin, but she has to go. Maggie, by herself, wonders how she can be such a genius if she can’t even make Abby see that Max Brady is bad news.
Nick rushes in looking for Abby. He won’t give Maggie details, so Maggie tells him to think seriously about Abby’s advice. Nick is back at the garage thinking of his predicament. He calls Chelsea and tells her that he has something he really needs to talk to her about.
Billie finds Nick before he leaves, and orders him not to tell Chelsea. She is not going to let him destroy the relationship between the two of them. Nick is sure that everyone is underestimating Chelsea. He is sure that she will be angry and it will pass. Billie is sure that she is the one who is going to pay, not him. She does not want Chelsea to pay for her mistake. He still insists that he needs to do it. When he leaves, she calls Chelsea and leaves her a message to call as soon as possible.
Willow approaches EJ to ask him for a job. He tells her that Shawn was disloyal and a bad employee, why should he give a job to his girlfriend? She tells him that she isn’t his girlfriend, but is pregnant with his child. She will be homeless when she starts to show and has no prospects for income. She tells him that Hope gave her money for the doctor, but it wasn’t enough, she needs more. Billie comes in, so he excuses himself and tells her to wait.
At Java Café, EJ brings Billie a coffee and they discuss her business proposal. She tells him that Bo loved her system, but didn’t trust EJ. He was all set to go with it until he found out that Mythic was the backer. Both are worried about the Board of Directors and their reaction. Billie offers to ask Roman, but EJ is sure that he will have the same reaction as Bo. EJ claims that if he was half as evil and powerful as Bo thinks, he would want Century Cell to protect his home from him. Billie jokingly asks if he has a bogeyman on his payroll to break in and scare Bo into using the system. EJ thoughtfully looks at Willow sitting across the room. He jokingly returns that they have a bad guy shortage. She still thinks that a small burglary will change his mind. Willow interrupts that she has to leave soon, so EJ tells her he will be right with her. He tells Billie that she is penniless and he is trying to help her.
EJ takes Willow outside to tell her about a job he does have for her. EJ changes his mind about helping Willow, as Shawn will come back and take care of both of them. She claims that he definitely isn’t coming back, as the last time she saw him, he was jumping off a cruise ship about a thousand miles from Australia (this guy certainly gets his information and his dirty work done the easy way, doesn’t he?) His family presumes him dead, but she isn’t buying. EJ offers her one day’s employment, that pays well. He makes her turn around and bend over, so he can write a check on her back. He shows her the check, which surprises her. It is two years’ salary for less than a day’s work. He wants her to break into somebody’s house. She doesn’t want to do it. He wants her to break into Bo’s house and steal Hope’s jewellery. He leaves her when she still refuses to do it.
A phone rings in a dark office, and a lady answers as the Director of the YWCA. EJ wants to know the policy on children. When she tells him that children aren’t allowed, he tells her about Willow being pregnant and then hangs up.
EJ goes back to Billie, who was talking to a university student about making a Power Point presentation to show the Board of Directors.
Willow catches Abby going into the Java Café (looking for Billie), and asks her to get her job back with Maggie. Abby refuses to help since she hurt her family so badly. Willow tells her she is Abby’s family, she is having Shawn’s baby. She claims to have had an amnio done to prove it is his. She tells Abby how hurt she was that he was so preoccupied with Belle and Claire that he didn’t care about her. She claims that she hurt him because she loved him and he hurt her, and she was raised to hurt back when hurt. Abby is still mad at her, and tells her not to bother her Aunt Maggie.
Abby goes in to see Billie, and Willow’s phone rings. The Director that EJ talked to is calling. The Director doesn’t want to tell her over the phone, but Willow insists she tell her now. She cries as the Director tells her that she was informed of the pregnancy, and that they aren’t set up to handle babies.
Abby has told Billie about Nick’s plans, and Billie leaves to get to him first and stop him. She rushes out, thanking Abby for telling her.
Willow confronts EJ on calling the Y. He asks her if she wants the job or not, he doesn’t want to hear her whine. He doesn’t care what she does with the jewellery, he is making a point to Bo. He warns her not to tell anyone about it.
Lucas wants to know what happened to Sami, as she was fine when he left. She didn’t change her mind about marrying Lucas, but that isn’t it. She just wants to protect their family. He wants to know why she is so scared, and she breaks into tears. He keeps asking, and she keeps shaking and denying it. She wants to go, but he makes her sit down to discuss what she is asking. He wants to know who is threatening her – EJ Wells? She promises to tell him everything after they are on the road. He is sure that EJ is bothering her as she changes every time he is around. He is convinced that something happened while he was out and she is lying to him. He has had it. She tells him she loves him, and he wants her to be honest about why she is so scared. He will do whatever she wants, as long as he knows why. She can’t tell, so he can’t marry her. He is sick of the lies and secrets that hurt so much. She denies that she is lying and hiding things. She thinks that he is seeing her past mistakes every time he looks at her. She is tired of everyone expecting her to screw up, including him. She breaks into fresh tears, telling him that she can’t continue living this lie. He wants to know, but she can’t tell him, because he will hate her. Every time she screws up, he takes back his love and she can’t live with that. It is her fault, not his, as she keeps screwing up. She tells him that she is still her, she hasn’t changed. She wants him to accept her, but she can’t bare her soul. She is tired of being tested. She wants him to trust her, but he feels that he is the one not being trusted. She is so afraid that he will walk away, and he promises not to. He wants her to give him a chance to prove it. She admits to being scared, and gets as far as telling him that EJ was there while Lucas was gone. She starts to tell him, just as Celeste walks in, interrupting. She wants to light a candle for Lexie and Tek. Lucas says they can finish their conversation at home, but she wants to stay and light a candle. He tries to get her to finish their conversation, but she covers up that he wanted to be invited to the wedding and it was too much for her. She blames the extreme reaction on her pregnancy. He offers a chick flick and a pound of chocolate to combat the hormones.
Sami goes over to Celeste to ask for help. Celeste knows, that is why she came.
Previews:
EJ (to Kayla): …and I would be careful, because accidents can happen to people with the best of intentions.
Nurse (to Steve): I will let you out of the straight-jacket on one condition: you have to be medicated.
Steve: No freakin’ way.
Nick (to Chelsea): I couldn’t have said it any better.
Billie (rushing in): Nick, you didn’t?
Celeste: Darling, your only solution is to get rid of him once and for all.
Sami: and how am I supposed to do that?
Celeste: You kill him.

Episode #10,521
Tape dte 2/7
Director - Herb Stein
Chelsea is surprised at her feelings for Nick, Billie pitches her home security system to Bo, while Lucas has a talk with Kate, and EJ continues to taunt and threaten Sami.
In Chelsea’s apt, the heck with the calculus, as Nick & Chelsea continue to make out. She suddenly breaks it off mid-kiss, saying Oh, my God. Nick jumps up, embarrassed and babbling, saying how sorry he is, grabbing his coat, and offering to let her hit him, as he deserves it. Chelsea shuts him up by planting a big kiss on him herself. Nick is astonished, as this time she kissed him. Chelsea is astonished herself, having kissed lots of guys, but never having it affect her like this. He says it is because this time she felt it. Now they have a heart to heart, and Chelsea brings up Shane Patton, and all that happened, and how he made her fall for someone who did not exist. Ah, but he did, it was Nick. He always wanted to tell her but was scared, and wants another chance. Chelsea asks him to promise no more secrets between them, which, of course, leads to Nick flashing back to making out with Billie. He wiggles out of that one by promising that from this day forward, no secrets. They resume kissing, but Chelsea calls a halt, saying they should save some for next time. He gathers his things and heads out the door. One more kiss and he leaves, bumping into Billie in the hall. He is so happy, he has kissed the girl of his dreams and thinks he is in love. Billie goes into the apt, and there sits her daughter with this happy grin. (She does have a great smile!) Billie asks how the calculus went, and Chelsea says great. Nick is a really nice guy. Billie agrees.
At Bo’s house, Billie is describing her home security system to Bo, who is very impressed. He thinks it is great and offers to buy it. Billie is only too happy, having the cameras in her car, and it is not going to cost him a cent. She has a major corporation backing her, and an endorsement from someone like him is just what they need. Bo comments that it will be good for Hope and little doodlebug (yes, folks, that poor baby has still not received a name, I guess. LOL) keeping them safe when he is gone. Billie’s ears perk up, as Bo explains that they hope to hear from Shawn, and then Bo will fly to wherever he is to get a statement about working for EJ. Billie thought he was cleared, but Bo explains that Lockhart won’t blab about EJ, so if they get a statement from Shawn about being a courier between the two, it can tie them together, and they might get Lockhart to “fess up. Billie finally tells Bo that her investor is Mythic, and that as far as she is concerned, EJ is innocent until proven guilty, and there is nothing on him. Bo talks of how EJ, has hurt so many people he loves…..reminding her that EJ had Hope kidnapped, how he shot John, and now look at Steve. Billie really perks up at the mention of Steve‘s name, and is horrified to hear that Steve has been committed to a hospital for the criminally insane. Bo tells her there is no deal, he will not have anything to do with a business venture in which EJ is involved. They argue, and Bo tells her he is worried about her life. She reminds him she can take care of herself (oh, yeah, we have seen plenty of evidence of that, haven’t we? Not!). She angrily stalks out.
Lucas comes into Kate’s empty office, and begins to write a note, when Kate walks in. She apologizes for being the interfering mom, not only to him, but to Austin, Billie, and even Philip. She claims it has been hard for her to accept the fact that her children were adults and capable of leading their own lives. (oh, brother!) She cries, as she claims how much she loved her children and wanted only the best for them. And once again, Lucas caves, saying he knows and never really meant to cut her out of his life. (Is this the 433rd time for this?). Now they talk of Sami, and Kate cannot help herself rant a bit, bringing up how Sami embarrassed her at the Mythic presentation. Lucas reminds her she started it with setting Sami up with the fake cable show. Now he gives her the wedding invitation, letting her know that it was Sami who insisted on her being invited. Kate is hesitant, but finally agrees she will come. Lucas leaves. And now EJ comes in, and with his usual smarmy charm, learns that that Sami wants Kate to come to the wedding. They talk a bit of Sami, with Kate remarking that she knows he had a thing for Sami. EJ says he did, but Sami has made it clear that her heart is with Lucas. Kate wonders what EJ sees in Sami, and he replies that he admires her spunk. (Ah, a salute to Lou Grant & Mary Richards, lol) Kate says spunk is very over rated.
At St. Luke’s Church, EJ is taunting Sami about her pregnancy, and what he overheard her praying to God. He insists the baby is his, and that he will bring up his son to be just his grandfather (meaning Stefano). Over her dead body, spits out Sami. As he continues to claim he will take the child, she flies at him, beating on his chest with her fists, saying she will kill him. He stops her and she asks how he can even be there in a church, he is so evil, and done so many bad things. He retorts the same goes for her. She talks of him forcing her to have sex, forcing her to lie to her father, and her other loved ones. He says that is a matter of opinion, but that he & she knows how it went. (oh, this man is unbelievable!) He insists he will take this child, whether she likes it or not. He tells her he wants her to have an amnio to determine paternity within the next 48 hrs. and Sami refuses, saying she will not put her baby at risk. EJ is insistant, and demands she get it done, as he has things to get ready. She wants to know what he is planning for her baby, but he backs off, just saying he would be getting ready to be a father. He warns her again to have it done within 48 hrs. and leaves. Sami sits down, crying. Lucas returns, beginning to tell about giving the invitation to his mom, when he sees Sami’s tears. When he asks what is wrong, Sami jumps up, telling him to take her out of here, and then ranting on and on about packing up and leaving Salem for good, getting a fresh start somewhere else, just him, her, Will and the baby. Lucas is bewildered, as Sami is in tears, begging him to leave town. Freeze frame on Sami, with small pics of EJ and Lucas on the side. And the previews roll…..
Lucas to Sami: You are scared of somebody, and I think I know who it is…….EJ Wells
EJ to Willow: If you tell anybody about this conversation, you and your baby will not make it through the year
Billie: She is my daughter and I will not have you tell her about us
Nick: Sorry, Billie, I need to do this
Sami: I need your help
Celeste: I know, that’s why I’m here

Tuesday, March 6, 2007
At St. Luke's, Sami and Lucas are rehearsing their wedding with the new priest, Father Kelly, who tells them that Father Jansen insisted on a traditional ceremony right down to the letter, just for Sami. He goes on to tell them that at the next session (next week) they will go over the Act of Contrition as Father Jansen is now requiring full confession from all brides and grooms, and Sami gets upset and refuses. She watches as the unity candle they just lit goes out. Both Lucas and the priest try to calm her and reassure her. The priest would understand if she wanted to confess to Father Jansen instead, but reassures her that he has heard it all. As he leaves them to think about it, Lucas asks what is next on the ‘to-do’ list, the bagpipes? She continues to be upset and tells him that she doesn’t care about the bagpipes or anything else. (She had wanted them to honour her grandfather, and doesn’t even care about losing the deposit on them). Lucas wants to know what is wrong. He wants to know if she wants to call it off, but no. She tells him that it is the setting. She has tried to get married there so many times, but she doesn’t deserve to be happy. He offers to do anything to make her happy. She wants him to take her anywhere else to get married. He doesn’t want to. He thinks she is feeling guilty about something, as she started “wigging out” when the priest brought up the confession. He wants to know what she isn’t telling. He knows her dream is to get married at church. He thinks she should do it, regardless of what happened in the past. He wants her to trust him and be honest. She wants to tell him, it is killing her (which he can see). She insists that she can’t do it – she can’t marry him or anybody, and tries to flee. He refuses to let her leave (the church or him). She wants to leave him because he deserves better than her. He takes all the blame for her feelings. He is sorry for how badly he treated her. She wants to know how he can still want her after all the bad things she has done. He tells her that he has also seen the good things, and they blow all the other stuff out of the water. He tells her that she doesn’t have to tell him if she doesn’t want to, but they are still going to get married in the church, the way she wanted to. He tells her that they are both better people and they will be okay. He has finally convinced her, but there is one thing she wants him to do for her first. She wants him to invite Kate to wedding. In a big switch, she has to convince him to invite her, as he doesn’t want anyone there who is not there to support them. She finally convinces him, and he leaves to go talk to her (alone). Sami stays behind to talk to God by herself. She knows she is supposed to wait until next week to talk to Father Kelly, but she knows that is talking to God that is important. She confesses about her lying, but it is different this time as she is lying to protect someone, other than herself. She saved Lucas, and she would do it again, no matter she hates EJ and herself for what happened. She is looking forward to her new life with Lucas. However, he can’t ever know what happened, and don’t let EJ be the baby’s father. EJ overheard and is extremely happy. He tells her that even God can’t unravel DNA. She should keep praying, it might even work out for her.
Billie goes to see EJ, on business. She wants to show him her home security system and the proposals for it. He tells her that it will take more than a power suit to succeed, and to go ahead with her presentation. She pitches her security system, which seems just like every other security system, except it is controlled from a cell phone. It has video capabilities and remote functionality from anywhere. EJ is extremely impressed, thinking it is perfect. He even goes as far as kissing her, which she demands answers for. She is upset over his reaction, but he tells her that he has never seen anything so impressive. He believes she is sitting on a gold mine. He wants to seal the partnership, but she has a condition – she doesn’t want him to use her system for any of his hidden agendas. He is also not to kiss her again. They discuss reputations. Billie feels that she would be better off taking her idea elsewhere. He tells her to wait, he hasn’t been forthcoming. He admits that she called his bluff and he is doubly impressed. He gives her a cheque as an advance/retainer to show his serious intentions. He tells her to get a lawyer and fight hard. He is going to give her a great offer, but she still has to go through the board of directors. He wants her to get some testimonials from actual users. He goes as far as to suggest someone trustworthy that the board can believe, like a real estate agent. Billie suggests law enforcement, which he thinks is perfect (I can see where this is going…. Think about EJ’s conversation with Sami yesterday….) Billie offers to get Bo’s help, but EJ wishes her luck on that since Bo doesn’t trust him… which leads her to admit that she doesn’t either. Someone comes to the door with news about the “patient,” and Billie hears and wants to know what patient. EJ covers up, telling her it is a colleague in Europe who has a heart condition and no family. She leaves to go get Bo’s help, and he gets the update from the visitor. Stefano has gone home to Italy, and his will is strong, but the body is weak. They discuss future options, including stem cell research. EJ sends a gift home to his father – the gun that started the first World War. He thinks it is a fitting gift seeing as how he is about to finish the war his father started.
Meanwhile, Billie gives her programmer some final instructions on some tweaks she wants done to the program to make it flawless. She calls Bo and wants to know if she can talk to him about something. No, it isn’t about Chelsea, who is doing fine, but about business.
Chelsea has snacks for her tutoring session. Nick tells her it isn’t a party, but a math lesson. They banter back and forth over calculus (complete with awful puns). Nick comments that math isn’t as fun as carrying cash over the border to Belle and Shawn, which sobers her up quite quickly as she wonders what happened to them. Nick is sure that they are fine and happy. Nick can’t understand why she can’t get the simplest equations. She tells him that he gets it, but not everyone has a brain like his. She is more about creativity than disciplined math. He tries everything, including singing it to her. (This is dumb, but hilarious!) She finally finishes up, but some of her answers are wrong. Nick tries to convince her that she isn’t stupid – after she tosses out the idea of dropping calculus and picking up something she can pass, like Breathing 101 (lol!). She closes her book and wants to do some other kind of equations and problem-solving. He tries to get back to the calculus, but she doesn’t want to. She tells him that he is starting to nag like her mother did. She tries to comment on her mother’s boyfriend not being around since New Year’s, which makes him uncomfortable. He keeps trying to tell her that she isn’t stupid, and gets her to admit that she wants to study history and do historical things. They get close, as they end up kissing.
Meanwhile, on the island, Belle is still panicking over Claire. Shawn tries to calm her down, and promises to get them off the island, tonight. She wants to know where the boat is. He promises to build them one. She knows he is trying to keep her from freaking out. She trusts him, but needs answers on how he is going to build a boat before the coming storm hits. They have no idea where to go, but are planning to head for another island. She thinks they are crazy for getting on the sorry excuse for a raft in the middle of a storm. He tells her she is right, but they have to try and take the risk that they could succeed or fail, or they will lose Claire for sure. She calms down and wants to know what she can do to help. Shawn is certain that they can make it. Belle picks up some confidence from him and they are ready to go. Belle has gone to find food, so Shawn calms Claire down with a story (which Belle overhears). He promises her a real home after everything is done. (This is really cute – Claire even throws in her two cents, which Shawn reacts to – you would almost swear it was scripted.) Belle gives him some food wrapped in a blanket and Shawn wants to get going. Belle needs him to hear her apologize for being so mean to him. She is grateful for all he has done to help her keep Claire from Phillip and Victor.
Freeze frame and fade out is on Sami, as we are off to the previews:
Lucas to Kate: Sami wanted me to give you this. It’s an invitation to our wedding… Now who looks surprised?
Nick to Chelsea: If you want to hit, go ahead, give me your best shot, because I deserve it. (She eagerly hits him with a big kiss instead!)
Billie to Bo (at his house): No hard feelings, ok?
Bo: It’s not hard feelings. I’m worried about your life.
EJ to Sami: I’m not asking you…. I am going to take my child, whether you like it or not.
Off to the credits.

Tape Date: 2/5/07
Air Date: 3/5/07
Director: Albert Alarr
Summary: Abby learns about Mimi leaving town…Willow offers information to Philip, for a price…Shawn and Belle worry as Claire takes a turn for the worse…Lucas tells Kate off…Sami goes fishing for information.
At Willow’s…
Philip comes over to see her, saying she had better not be lying. She tells him about Hope’s visit and how they had it out and how she has reason to believe that Shawn is alive. But Philip is skeptical, but she says she can read people and Hope was acting like they had some proof. She thinks that the Bradys are hiding something. She offers to help, in return for a place to live…one room in the mansion, promising he will never even see her. He doesn’t want to go along and says it’s all her fault anyway that Shawn and Belle got away and says she had better not be playing him. She begs him for a second chance. Finally, he says for her to get what she can out of Hope about Shawn and Belle…and if that information pays off, she will be rewarded…and until then, she is to leave him alone.
At the Garage…
Abby is there working when Max comes in, she asking where he has been. He says he will tell her but she can tell no one and goes on to tell her the story about how it was Mimi that killed her dad and Bonnie is covering for her and Mimi has left town. (I think he says he just got back from taking her to Arizona). He says now he feels bad about complaining about Mimi earlier. She takes his hand and thanks him for confiding in her. He almost kisses her but she ducks out of the way and changes the subject. She asks him if he was in love with Mimi and Max says this isn’t about him and he doesn’t want to talk about it. She says if she can do anything, let her know. Jed comes stumbling in (drunk) calling for Abby, saying he has been looking for her. He tells her he needs to talk to someone about what happened with his sister and blames himself for her being a hooker…saying she was doing it for him. They ask what can he do about it and he says he is going to drop out of school…may even jump off a bridge. Abby tells him not to do anything stupid. He tells her he is sorry about how their date ended…without a kiss and as he goes to kiss her, falls. Later, they are giving him coffee and he is sobering up. Max goes to work on a car as Jed asks her if it is Max…is he the one she is in love with? Abby asks if it is that obvious. She tells him that Max’s girl left town and Jed asks where does them leave him and Abby. She thinks they should just be friends and offers to drive him home. As she goes to get the car, Jed tells Max that he is lucky to have a girl like Abby fall in love with him.
At the Cop Shop…
Sami visits Roman asking if he is ready to walk her down the aisle. They talk about EJ shooting John as Sami asks if they have any leads. Roman asks her what she is up to and why is she there. She is offended but Roman tells her that EJ is none of her concern. But she says Lucas works for him…he lives down the hall…and is in her face all the time. She doesn’t feel safe with him around. Roman says he is trying to put EJ behind bars and Sami wants details…for reassurance. He tells her that they have a new angle and thinks that Shawn may be able to help…if they can find him. She tells him that she needs to go and Roman has things to do as well and leaves. But before she leaves, EJ calls asking if she has any info. She gets angry and tells him if he ever calls her again, she will kill him. Roman walks up and overhears this, but she covers and says it was the florist, and blames it on her hormones. She apologizes for freaking out but says she just wants everything perfect and it will be when EJ is behind bars. Roman assures her they are working several angles and they will find Shawn and Belle and they won’t stop until they get EJ. He says they hope to get a statement from Shawn, Sami asks what if that doesn’t help. He assures her that they are keeping an eye on EJ. He says he is sort of glad that Shawn and Belle are missing…at least that way they can’t end up like Lexie and Tek (excuse me, but aren’t THEY “missing” as well?...how are Shawn and Belle any better off?)
At Mythic…
Lucas goes to EJ’s office to fill him in on a special project. He lets EJ know that their wedding date has been moved up since Sami is pregnant (he says May…ah…just in time for sweeps, huh?), asking if EJ has a problem with that. Of course he does. He rattles on something about a child’s birthright and finally says he doesn’t have a problem. He can even clear Kate’s schedule so she can help with the wedding. But Lucas says no…she isn’t welcome. She walks in and says ‘thank God for that’. EJ leaves, telling them they need to talk it out. Lucas warns her not to do anything to get in the way of his marriage but she tells him that Sami is keeping secrets (again) and is going to ruin his life. She asks him what if it were Will and he were involved with a girl like Sami, what would Lucas do. He says he would butt out. But Kate is sure he would try to help…as she is doing. She asks him how many times Sami has broken his heart, but Lucas doesn’t want to hear it and says when it comes to Sami, Kate is just blind and now, she is OUT of his life. Kate says Lucas takes after her and out of all her children, he is the most stubborn. She lays a guilt trip on him about how she has sacrificed for him and how she loves him, and she knows he doesn’t doubt that. Now, has he ever doubted Sami’s love? He doesn’t answer, so she says eventually he will realizes that she loves him…and that will never change. She leaves and in the hall EJ walks up and hugs her, asking what he can do to help. She says there is nothing he can do and he says try him. She whines about Sami and Lucas getting married as he says he could just be the one to take Sami away permanently.
Kate and Sami trade places…as Sami arrives at Mythic and Kate goes to the cop shop. Sami is greeted by EJ and she tells him that the cops are going to catch him. She tells him that Roman and Bo are searching for Shawn and that he is going to give a statement that could incriminate him. But, she tells him for all they know, Shawn could be dead…and that would leave EJ in the clear, so he doesn’t need her anymore. He congratulates her on a job well done. Later, Sami is with Lucas as he is telling her about telling Kate off and she asks if he is okay about it and he assures her he is. They head off to an appointment with the minister. We see EJ on the phone with someone, telling them that he needs to know as soon as Bo and Hope have some information on Shawn. He says he should have killed him when he had the chance.
Back at the Cop Shop…
Kate is there now whining to Roman about the wedding, but Roman says he can’t give her any sympathy, and tells her she should stay out of it. But she is sure that Sami is going to make Lucas miserable. He says that Sami and Lucas have been in love most of their adult lives but Kate doesn’t want to hear it. He tells her to just leave them alone, you can’t stop fate. She says maybe she should just accept it…what does she know and laments the mess she has made of her own life. She fears that this time, Lucas may be finished with her. She cries as Roman holds her.
On the Island…
Belle wakes up worried about Claire’s injury and says it’s infected. She makes bandages, telling Claire she is so brave. Later, Claire is asleep as they hope she feels better when she wakes up. Belle points out that they don’t have much of her anti-rejection meds left and worries what will happen if something happens to Shawn and fears their luck will run out. He tries to assure her that they will be okay and that God is on their side. Later, she apologizes for freaking out earlier and says she feels closer to him now than ever. Claire wakes up as Belle goes to change her dressing. She notices that she is running a fever and sees red streaks on her arm, indicating blood poisoning. She cries they need a doctor now or she is going to die…as the previews show…
Shawn (to Belle): We might live…we may drown…but if we don’t try, we are going to lose her for sure…
Lucas (to Sami): This isn’t you being insecure…it’s about you feeling guilty…what have you done that you are so scared about?...
Billie (to EJ): I can’t help but wonder…if for some how…you are different…
Nick (to Chelsea): Hey…(Chelsea): Hey…(as they move in for a kiss)…
And the credits roll…

Tape Date: 2/2
Air Date: 3/2
Director: Herb Stein
Summary: Belle and Shawn talk out their problems and come to an understanding, as Hope deals with one of those problems…. And Bo and Kayla deal with Steve and his anger management problems. Shelle fans want to see this one!
It’s raining on the island as Belle sits with Claire and Shawn hides under a leaf. She tells him not to let a wave hit him on the way out. She refuses to let him back in. She is upset that he expected more from his kiss than she wanted to
give. He tries to apologize. He thinks it is still about Willow, which she doesn’t deny. He tells her that Willow didn’t mean anything, but she tells him that his actions say otherwise (moving her in, hiding her, etc.). He admits he screwed up, that all Willow meant to him was just plain sex. She asks how she is supposed to know that what he wants from her isn’t just plain sex. He tells her that is a big difference between the two. She wants to know those differences. He tries to explainand digs himself deeper as she shakes her head. He ends up surrendering and just apologizing. He still wants in out of the rain. And she still refuses. His stupidity just doesn’t cut it. He continues to dig himself deeper and deeper and she still holds firm. (I am sorry, but this is more comedy than drama…). He finally gets through to her, and she apologizes for throwing Willow at him. Finally, they talk honestly about their feelings and what they want from each other. She finally hears what she wanted to hear. She wants it to be for keeps, and he reassures her that she has all the time in the world to sort it out. When she still refuses to let him in, he starts stripping, getting as far as his underwear before she finally relents. They continue to talk and make promises to let each other know if they don’t think they will work out. They settle in to get some sleep, and Belle tells him he can lay next to her, and then takes his arm to put around her.
Hope walks up outside Willow’s (open) door to hear Jed lighting into Willow for being a hooker to support him. She tries to defend herself, but gives up and sends him on his way back to school. She is lying on the bed near tears when Hope walks in offering to help her. Willow tries to throw her out, but Hope has questions. She wants to know about Phillip and if she found someone to take care of her. Willow is upset over the way the two boys treated her. Hope still wants to help her. Willow asks why Hope changed her mind, and Hope tells her that Maggie was concerned about her. She asks if Willow is certain the baby is Shawn’s, which sets off another tirade about Hope is only concerned about her own reputation if the baby really is Shawn’s and she didn’t help. She is sure that Hope won’t help her if it isn’t, which Hope tries to deny. Hope wants to help her take care of the baby – now. (Sounds like a PSA on prenatal care). Willow, when asked what happened to the money Victor gave her, jokes about spending it on a load of crack, gets herself a shock when Hope attacks her (verbally) about making comments about endangering a child, especially since she’s lost one already. It finally seems to get through to her, as she tells Hope to back off. She finally answers Hope’s question – she gave the money to her brother for school. Hope tries to tell her that she didn’t have a problem with Willow or her past if that was what Shawn wanted. Willow tells her she is full of crap – they just wanted Shawn and Belle together to the point of breaking the law. If they had shown her some respect, maybe Shawn would still be with her. Hope is finally honest with her and lays it all out about her nastiness, immaturity and recklessness. Regardless of who the father is (she still insists emphatically that it is Shawn’s), Hope wants Willow to tell her exactly what it is she needs to do to help make sure that both baby and mother are cared for. Willow shows her what she has – nothing, and tells her to knock herself out. She wants Hope to get her a job, but Hope tells her that she has made her an appointment with an OB-GYN and she and Bo will pay the bills. Then she asks Willow about her eating habits (beef jerky and diet soda for breakfast) and sends her to the hospital for a prenatal class. She will, however, not recommend her for a job, but she does offer her money, which makes her very angry. Hope refuses to let Willow move in with her, in order to protect her baby from Willow’s violent outbursts. Willow wants to know why Hope doesn’t want to be as close as possible to the only remaining piece of a dead Shawn… which Hope refuses to believe he didn’t survive. Hope gives her a cheque for $1000 for food and prenatal vitamins, and then tells her that she can tear it up if she wants. Willow thanks her and then tells her that she hopes Shawn is alive, too. She is sure that Hope knows something she isn’t admitting. After Hope finally leaves, she happily calls someone and tells them she thinks she just found out that Shawn and Belle and Claire are still alive.
Bo finds Kayla at the station to tell her about his talk with the DA over Steve’s case. The judge has agreed that sending him to jail would be a dead end. Kayla is all excited and wants to set up a transfer to University Hospital, but Bo tells her that he is not going to University – he is being sent to the State Hospital – for the criminally insane. A chained Steve is brought in fighting and yelling. He angrily tells Kayla to get a good look because she did this to him. She tries to approach him, but he won’t let her. She says that she tried to help him, but he is upset about being chained up like an animal. Steve is very angry that he is going to get locked up and then forgotten. Bo tells him that the decision was made based on the violence. He rants on and on about what he is going to experience. He is quite insistent on blaming Kayla and Bo for ruining him. He just wanted to run away, but no, they had to help. He tells them what he is expecting, based on what he has already been through. She is insistent that he is going to get help, but he is sure he won’t survive. She begs him not to give up. He wants them to help her escape. Kayla tells him that there is no escape. He gets even angrier and Bo steps in to tell him he needs to deal with his anger issues, and he won’t let Steve hurt Kayla again. Steve tries to call him out, but he stands his ground. Bo tries to knock some sense into him. He finally calms down as she pours her heart out, and he throws it back telling her that he is going to die there, and she did it to him. Bo tells the cops to prepare him for transport, but Steve gets loose and rushes Bo, butting heads with him as hard as he can, before he is restrained again. He laughs about it. Bo tries to get through to him, but he makes wise-ass comments about the two of them. He claims that the old Steve is gone and they are both dead to him now. Kayla tells him that she will try to get him transferred to University so that they can be closer and she can help him. She promises to stand by him and love him, no matter how hateful or awful he gets. Bo comforts her as Steve is led away.
Bo and Kayla discuss the situation and Bo wants Kayla to take care of herself. They are both worried, but neither is going to abandon him. She hugs him as the previews roll…
Phillip to Willow: I want proof that Shawn, Belle and Claire are alive. Until you have something concrete, stay out of my face.
EJ to Sami (on the phone): Why don’t you tell me, now?
Sami (with Roman walking up behind her): If you call me again, or ask me any more questions, I swear to God I’ll kill you!
Jed to Max: Do you know how lucky you are, man, to have a girl like Abby fall in love with you?
Belle (holding Claire) to Shawn: You need to get her off this island now, or she will die!
And then the credits….
