Summary: Not that great of a show today…unless you are fans of Nick, Chelsea, Philip, Willow, Shawn and Belle…because they are the only ones featured in this show. Nick and Chelsea make their way to Toronto…Victor helps clear Philip at the airport and he is on his way as well…the shelter where Belle and Shawn are hiding is raided.
On the Airplane…Chelsea is asleep beside Nick as he sniffs her hair…and then sneezes. She wakes up asking if he is getting sick then notices he is reading a bridal magazine. She asks what is wrong with him…is he in love? She starts questioning him about who he is involved with and if it is an older woman. He says yes, that’s it. Chelsea badgers him for a name and he tells her Marge…as in Simpson (lol). He tries to say he is just trying to pass the time because he is a white-knuckle flyer, but when they hit turbulence, it is he who has to calm her down. Later, he is very uncomfortable by her questions so he leaves. When he gets back, she wants him to do a quiz with her and he agrees…to pass the time. She goes through the questions and when they finish, she adds his score and it shows that he is in the “young and inexperienced” category. She turns to him and asks if he is a virgin. He gets upset and embarrassed and tells her to leave his virginity alone (a bit too loud, as others around him hear). He tells her he is NOT a virgin so she starts needling him about who it was, even though he asks her to please stop. But she keeps on, and will not let it go…she just wants a first name. He won’t say and she thinks it may be someone she knows…Abby?...Stephanie? He tells her to let it go and then turns the tables and starts asking her personal questions…is SHE a virgin? She claims she has ‘been around’. He asks how many guys she has been with as she starts silently counting on her fingers. He demands she tell him a name and when she gets uncomfortable, she goes to freshen up. He tells her to tell him ONE NAME, so she tells him Larry…Moe…and Curley. When she gets back, she starts again and tells him if he tells, she will too. He tells her to shut up and not talk to him until they get to Toronto. She apologizes for hurting his feelings and making fun of him. The truth is he is a great guy and she thinks he is even kind of cute, which surprises him. We hear the announcement that they are arriving in Toronto as she looks over and smiles at him.
Back at the Salem Airport…Philip is cuffed to a chair (with those plastic handcuffs) as he is having a fit, and blaming Willow for not keeping an eye on Nick. The security agent guarding him gets a call and has to leave as Philip tries to get her to free him but she refuses and assures him that Victor will be there soon. She tries to convince him to let her go on ahead to Toronto and keep an eye on Shawn and Belle, and Philip gets suspicious of her, thinking maybe she is helping Bo and Hope by looking the other way. She denies it and swears she is on his side. He says if he finds out otherwise, she will regret it. She says she doesn’t like being threatened and goes to leave. She assures him that she IS on his side, but if he doesn’t show her some respect, she could make it rough for him as well. She tries to assure him that they both want the same thing. Victor shows up and tells Willow to get out of the room. He is furious and says this is an outrage and that someone will pay. Philip says that Shawn will pay and is hell bent on revenge. Victor tells him he needs to concentrate on Claire and forget about revenge on Shawn. But Philip is sure he can do both. Victor advises him to walk away from it as they argue. Philip says that Victor has no trust in him and always thinks he will fail…that is why he paid Willow and the judge off. Victor tells him if he goes through with this, he is on his own and that he had better listen to him or he may never see Claire again, saying he is being foolish. He tries to reason with Philip, advising him to act like a soldier. Philip finally says that Victor is right, he doesn’t have a strategy. Victor tells him he has the advantage and he needs to go in quietly and look for them, instead of going in making a lot of noise. Victor has gotten a tip where they are and tells Philip that he learned that the place is being raided. They were able to trace them through the ring that Belle tried to hock. The Canadians think they are wanted on theft charges…they don’t know about the kidnapping. Philip wants to call the Toronto police, but Victor advises him not to, for they will surely call Salem PD and talk to Bo or Roman and get their side of the story first. Victor assures him that he is on his side, but he must act rationally or he may never get his little girl. Philip goes to sign release papers as Willow returns munching on an ice cream cone. She tells Victor that revenge is like ice cream…served best cold. (Lol at his face as she asks him if he wants a lick). Philip comes back as Victor asks him if he is REALLY taking her along and Philip says he owes her. Victor thinks she may have been working for the other side. Philip agrees that he doesn’t trust her, but wants to keep her in his sights until he finds Claire. Victor tells him to be careful. After Victor leaves, Willow asks Philip what is Victor’s problem. Philip says that he just doesn’t trust her…she took money and did it out of greed. Philip tells her to get ready, he is leaving…with or without her. After he leaves, she says oh, yes she is going to be with him…for a long, long time.
In Toronto…Shawn and Belle wake with his arm around her. She fears that Philip is going to show up at any minute. Shawn assures her that they are leaving tonight and they will be safe. Belle says that Claire needs food so he volunteers to go and get something. She thanks him for making her feel safe…like her dad. Shawn protests, saying he is nothing like John (BTW…just how IS John?...no mention of him lately). Shawn says he has made many mistakes…things that her dad would never do. But, however, he promises her if Philip comes anywhere near her or Claire, he will kill him. Later, Merle comes in, telling them that word on the street is that something is going down today and they should all pack and plan to get out of there, so Shawn wants to make his supply run. Merle tells them that he has heard the place is being raided and everyone needs to get out as he scurries everyone out the back way. Claire is crying as Belle tries to calm her down as there is banging on the door. Shawn sends them on and he stays behind. He goes to the door and plays drunk for the cops (like a vagrant). He stalls them long enough so that everyone can get out and they shove him out of the way. They end up cuffing him and hauling him off. After the cops are gone, everyone comes back to the shelter and Belle is looking for Shawn. Merle tells her that he was brave and played drunk to help everyone else get out. Claire is hungry so another mother offers Belle her baby’s bottle. (LOL at how Claire latches onto it). She tells Belle not to give up…especially when she has a child counting on her.
Later, Chelsea and Nick arrive looking for Shawn and Belle. Belle is shocked to see that it is THEM who are the couriers. Merle tells them that he checked into it and Shawn was arrested. Nick tells Belle not to worry, they have plenty of money with them…enough for bail. They will be able to get out of there LONG before Philip gets there…as a worried Belle stares…and the previews show…
Lucas (to Sami): I can’t work with him…that guy just tried to play the family card on me…saying we could use the income, if we have another baby (worried look from Sami)…
Willow (to Shawn, who is behind bars): Belle helped take my dream away…(Shawn): What are you talking about?...(Willow): Our future…our house with the picket fence…our kids…(as Shawn’s jaw drops)…
Belle (to Nick and Chelsea): Shawn is in jail and Philip is on his way…how am I supposed to protect my little girl without Shawn?...
Philip (pounding on the door): I want Claire!...you hear me?...
And the credits roll…

Taped 1/9/07
Director - Roger Inman

Slow show today, with not much going on. Lucas gets a job offer he doesn’t refuse, while the Chelsea & Nick begin their trip to Toronto, all the while trying to keep Philip at bay.
At the airport, Nick & Chelsea are in line, wanting to get aboard first. They have some good natured banter about each not wanting an aisle seat. Yawwwwnnn. Finally Philip & Willow arrive, (wonder how he got tickets already for this particular flight, since he did not know about it beforehand) and Nick tells Chelsea to go do her stuff. She goes up to Phil, wanting to talk to Phil in private, and he tells Willow to take a hike. Now Chelsea babbles on about not wanting Nick to get hurt, and how she will tell him where Shawn & Belle are. She keeps an eye on Nick, and when she notes he has completed his “trick”, she goes up to Phil’s ear, and yells into it that they are in Canada, idiot. She rushes back to Nick and they go thru security. Now Nick tells her to wait, as they watch Philip & Willow’s turn. As Philip’s bag comes thru the machine, the inspector tell Philip to stop, and asks if he can open his bag. Philip says go ahead….the bag is opened, and the inspector/guard draws his gun, a few more guards surround Philip with guns drawn, and order him down on the floor. Nick grins and takes Chelsea to board their plane.
ff the radio, telling them folks are trying to sleep. They turn it back on, and Shawn hits it, evidently breaking it, making them leave. A cop comes along, the guys go inside, and Shawn hides. The cop knocks on the door, shines his flashlight around a bit, and then leaves. Shawn goes back inside, and tells Belle about the cop. Belle says Claire is teething, is in pain and she has nothing to help. He will go to a close by pharmacy, but Belle tells him that is dangerous for him. Later, Claire is crying and guys are yelling to shut the kid up. She takes Claire outside, as Shawn returns with the medicine. They apply it to Claire’s gums, and she quiets down right away. They go back inside. Now there is banging on the door, as the cop has returned. The banging stops, and Claire is babbling Mama over and over. (it is soooo cute, and she does it throughout the scenes) Belle worries that Steve may be the one to come with the money, but Shawn figures his description has been sent out, so his dad will send someone with a low profile. All three lay down to get some sleep. (Must be really chilly in there, as they never take off their outer clothes)Kate yaks it up, urging Lucas to go talk to EJ. Lucas asks Sami, who says he should do whatever he thinks is best. Kate finally convinces Lucas to go talk to EJ, and Lucas comments that if EJ comes anywhere near Sami, he will kick him all the way back to Trafalgar Square. LOL
Lucas has joined EJ at his table, and tells him he wants EJ to stay away from Sami, in fact he wants him to move. EJ is fond of his apt. but Lucas insists. EJ now mentions Lucas & Sami probably making wedding plans, and then asks if they are planning on having children. Lucas s
tares, then says, no they are not. EJ agrees finally, that he will move, and will cross the street if he sees Sami coming anywhere in his vicinity. He conveniently has a contract in his pocket, with generous salary, stock options, perks, etc. (My, my, EJ must live by the motto “Always be prepared”). Lucas signs it.Meanwhile, Kate has been questioning Sami as to why Lucas is so worried about a job, after only 1 day, commenting they must have savings. Of course they do, says Sami, but they want to keep the money as savings. Lucas is just being responsible. Now Kate mentions having seen a producer, and their conversation turned to Sami’s rescue of Lucas. The producer was intrigued, and wants to Sami to tell her story. It is a Human Interest Reality program, with a different and true story each time. Sami wonders why Kate is being so nice to her, but Kate dances around the reason, just saying she knows they have been at odds in the past, but Sami did save her son, and she is ever so grateful. (Watch it, Sami, sounds like the snake in the Garden of Eden, lol).
Lucas arrives, telling the women about accepting the job. Sami seems happy for him, then Kate urges her to tell Lucas about the TV show. Now Lucas is happy for Sami, who will be a TV star, so he says. Kate is positive about Lucas joining Mythic and is looking forward to working with her son. Sami & Lucas leave, while Kate says she is going to have a drink at the bar. But she stops at EJ’s table, telling him she wonders just what EJ is up to. She leaves, EJ twirls his wine glass, saying “the closer Lucas is to me, the closer I am to Samantha. So here’s to the perfect pair”, as he empties his glass. And the previews show:
CHELSEA TO NICK: I will tell you the name of the one guy I slept with, if you will give me the name of your one and only
SHAWN: I can take care of you and Claire
BELLE: I know (they look as tho they are about to kiss)
PHILIP TO VICTOR: I don’t trust Willow, but I want to keep her in my sight until I find Claire, and then I never want to see her again

EPISODE: 10,495
DIRECTOR: Roy Steinberg
TAPE DATE: 1/8/07
Hope gets some bad and good news; Chelsea and Nick offer their services; Steve agrees to get help with his episodes; Philip finds an allie.
MAX’S GARAGE
Philip is waiting for Max when he arrives for work. The two exchange words about his helping Shawn and Belle take Claire. Philip won’t leave without Max’s help in finding his daughter. Max tells Philip off, offering only a postage stamp to mail his sorry self out of town, so Philip tries money next. Max turns down the “bribe”, but Philip says it’s not a bribe, but help to get Max back in the racing game. He even offers cash. Philip knows they’re hiding somewhere in Toronto and no one will know Max told him where. He smugly hands Max his cell phone to make the call. Max opens the phone, punches a button and begins a conversation with Shawn. He asks how things are going and an address to send a care package to. The line about money to take curling lessons tips Philip off he’s NOT really talking to Shawn, LOL…and Max closes the phone, saying he’d change the oil in 1,000 cars before helping Philip take Claire away again. Philip grabs Max and slams in into the locker. He rants about how his life is and he’s lost a leg and sees horrible images of fallen friends when he closes his eyes. Claire is the only good thing left in his life and he needs her back. Max feels for all Philip’s gone through and done for his country, but he himself grew up living in cardboard boxes, but you don’t see him treating people differently for it now. He tells Philip it’s not his new face he doesn’t recognize in the mirror, it’s the bastard he’s become and orders him out. Philip vows to find Belle and Shawn and when he does, it won’t be pretty.
Outside the pub, Abby makes a cell call to Jennifer. She hopes she didn’t wake Jennifer, but needs her advice, something that will affect the rest of her (Abby) life.
Abby walks into the garage and finds Max working underneath a silver mustang. His shoes are tapping away to a song on the radio and she smiles. She taps his leg and he rolls out quickly and stands up (thinking it was Philip back). Abby is distracted being he’s shirtless (give me a break…it’s winter and freezing on the border of Canada..he’d be wearing coveralls at least! He’s also wearing jewelry that could easily get caught in parts, etc., but I digress) He wipes away oil on his shoulder (see!) and happy to see her as his computer is acting up. She tells him she’s quitting. She hands him a dress shirt (guess all his t-shirts are dirty?) and he puts it on saying she doesn’t want to see his heart breaking. She explains about she and Chelsea going to Spring Semester at Salem U and needed to get away. He asks if she’s getting away from him, but happy for her that she’s going to school. He makes sure she realizes they’re still friends and apologizes for not paying more attention to her. He says Mimi means a lot to him and she figures school is what she needs right now.
CHEZ ROUGE
Hope and no-name Brady are visiting Maggie. Hope’s worried about Shawn. Maggie comments on how adorable the baby is and Hope says she’s definitely Bo’s baby…who fights off sleep like it’s a demon when something is bothering him. Willow arrives an
d Maggie tells her she’s not getting her job back and not wanted there. Willow says it’s about Shawn and Hope will want to see her. Maggie steps away to try and get Willow’s last check to get rid of her and Hope tells Willow they’re not interested in what she has to say. Now alone, Willow tells Hope she’s 8 weeks pregnant with Shawn’s baby (doesn’t anyone use birth control in Salem?) Hope doesn’t believe her, saying even if she is pregnant, it probably isn’t Shawn’s. Willow pulls a Dr. note out of her purse to prove she is pregnant. Hope looks at the document and says it doesn’t prove Shawn is the father of her baby. She tells Willow to leave. Willow threatens to get Shawn named as the father of her baby with the court and will tell the media. They’d love to hear how he and his baby are on the run after he’s gotten another woman pregnant. Hope asks what she expects them to do. Willow says they’re the only family she’s got and thought they’d be happy to hear the news and help her being she’s homeless and has no insurance. If Hope won’t, maybe Grandpa Bo will. Hope makes it clear she’d do anything for her family, but won’t give Willow a dime. She can go back to Victor if she wants to. She also warns her that if she tries to muddy Shawn’s name in family court, she’ll expose her past for the lying tramp she is. She gets up and pushes no name’s buggy away from the table.THE PUB
Chelsea offers to run the money to Shawn and Belle. She calls herself the bla
ck lamb of the family and Nick corrects her she’s the black sheep, not lamb. She’ll get on the plane and take the money to them. (hope you have a passport with the new law in place) They all warn her how dangerous this is as Victor and Philip have declared war. Bo won’t let her, saying it’s too dangerous. Kayla chats with Chelsea and Chelsea figures Bo suspects she might take the money and run off with it. She tells Bo and Steve she understands why they don’t trust her after all that’s happened. Bo tells her even after all of that, they still love and trust her. Nick knows none of them will be able to fly under the radar. She asks again. They’re all in a booth now talking and Bo finally agrees to let Chelsea go, as long as she doesn’t travel alone. Nick happily offers to go with her and she smiles at that too, despite questioning that she’ll need a chaperone. Bo doesn’t give her any alternative, wanting someone to cover her back. She agrees and Bo will make the travel arrangements in Nick’s name so it’ll look like a couple off on a vacation. Kayla and Steve go to get the money. Nick goes to tell Aunt Maggie he’s taking off and Bo makes it clear Maggie should keep this to herself. Chelsea and Bo are alone and she apologizes again for all the trouble she’s caused, especially involving Zack and wants to make Bo proud of her. He tells her he is and they hug.Later Hope and baby arrive and Bo’s happy to see his two favorite women, Hope and Doodlebug. She tells him about what happened with Willow and he tells her about Shawn’s call. She’s relieved to hear they’re safe in a safe house, but not happy to hear Bo’s trusting Chelsea to deliver the money. He tells her about Nick’s going too and she finds it ironic that a year after Zach died that their lives are in Chelsea’s hands.
BACK AT CHEZ ROUGE
Nick bustles in and Maggie’s walking with the paychecks near the bar when he enters. He tells her about going way for a couple of days and where he’s going. He talks in the voice you don’t think people overhear, but do, as of course Willow does and stands behind the fireplace in the middle of the room to eavesdrop. She hears enough and whips around to ask for her check. Maggie gives it to her and makes it clear she’s not wanted there again. Outside she pulls out her cell phone. She calls and tells someone she has some news they’ll be happy to hear.
Philip arrives outside the restaurant to chat with Willow. She tells him about overhearing Nick talking to Maggie and the bouncing Brady girl Chelsea is taking enough money to Toronto to get Shawn and Belle hidden forever. She still has money after Victor gave her the 10K, all she wants is to go with Philip to see the look on Shawn’s face when Claire is taken away from him. He tells her she knows how to hold a grudge and they shake on the deal. Abby walks up as they finish talking. She starts to walk by them, but Philip stops her and identifies who he is (at least someone doesn’t recognize him, LOL) She says hi to them and then excuses herself to work her shift and goes inside. She tells Maggie about seeing Philip out front with Willow and the two Horton gals figure out Willow might have overheard Nick. Maggie calls Kayla and Steve to warn them and Abby goes to find Chelsea. Philip isn’t worried if Abby overheard, saying they can’t do anything to stop them.
SALEM INNKayla and Steve look at the stack of bills to send to Shawn and Belle. Kayla says she got more than the $5K knowing they could probably use it. She questions what Roman said about the man throwing boxes out of the delivery truck and jumping off of it. She’s concerned about what these episodes are doing to him. He admits having another one, but got the kids safe to Canada. She worried this isn’t acceptable. She and his daughter need him. She wants him to call Marlena and try hypnosis. The phone rings (Maggie) but Kayla stops Steve from answering, saying his sanity is more important and to let voice mail pick it up. He wants to talk with Benjy before talking to Marlena as this all started after their dinner with him. Kayla says okay.
Nick and Chelsea arrive outside the Johnson’s room, both wit
h their overnight bags packed. Chelsea takes a moment to thank Nick for what he said about her at the pub, that she can do whatever she sets her mind to. They go inside and Steve hands the wad of bills to Nick, who puts it in his jacket. Steve warns them to keep a low profile at the airport as security might question someone traveling with that much cash. They leave and outside the hotel room door, Abby walks up breathless as she had ran the 10 blocks to the inn. She clues them in about Willow overhearing. Chelsea asks what they’re going to do and Nick says…outsmart them…as the previews roll…CHELSEA (in black knit cap) to Nick at the airport: "Well, I just hope you know what you’re doing Nick."
NICK: "Yeah, So do I. "
SAMI (to Lucas at a restaurant): Well?
LUCAS: I said Yes.
SAMI to LUCAS: I can’t believe you’re going to be working with EJ.
EJ to KATE: The closer Lucas is working with me, the closer I am to Samantha. So here’s to the perfect plan, Samantha and me.
The police are knocking on the door, saying they know someone is in there…as we see Shawn and Belle (holding and sshing Claire) behind it…
As the credits roll..

Tape Date: 12/27/06
Air Date: 01/29/07
Director: Albert Alarr
Summary: Sorry folks, I don't know what happened, but I lost the feed around the halfway point of the show this morning. I could still see a blurry picture after that, but had no sound. This is what happened up until the hourglass marker announcing the second half of the show. If I can find out any more details, I will add them later, or perhaps Linda or Barb can.
Max and Mimi arrive at the cop shop to see Roman. He is busy and talks about everything going on with Shawn and Belle and with releasing EJ. Mimi is just going to add to his troubles…she has the bag o’ bones with her and tells him that she found them. Roman wants all the details and she explains that she found them in her backyard and that she thinks her mom and brother are responsible. She explains she asked them about it, but only got lame answers. He threatens to haul them in but she asks him if he can hold off until she can get a DNA test done. They know that the lab is backed up, so can Nick do the test. Roman doesn’t like the sound of all this, but Mimi begs him and he finally gives in but warns her if he doesn’t have answers soon, he is bringing Bonnie and Connor in. Another cop comes in and tells Roman they have info on that stolen delivery truck and informs him that Steve was involved.Later, Max and Mimi are out to dinner at Chez Rouge, but she doesn’t have much of an appetite. He assures her that she did the right thing by going to the cops but she is worried about Connor being dragged into all this. She says before it’s all over she could be the only member of her family NOT in jail. She tells him that there is something she didn’t tell Roman, or him for that matter. She doesn’t know if it’s true or not, but Connor told her that the bones are their dad.
Shawn calls to the pub as Chelsea answers the phone bombarding him with questions, asking where they are and if they are okay. She wants to help but Shawn only wants to talk to Bo. She promises to go and find him and bring him back to the pub. Shawn plans on calling back in an hour and a half and she says she will have their dad there. After Shawn gets off the phone, he tells Belle about talking to Chelsea (she isn’t so sure about that one) but he says she is going to find Bo and he is going to call him back. He suggests that maybe they should take a nap. Problem is, they only have 2 cots and Claire is asleep on one of them and Belle doesn’t want to disturb her. She suggests they share, but Shawn offers to take the floor. Belle apologizes for everything turning out like it has and thanks Shawn for all he has done. He says he only wants to take care of Claire and her. Belle asks what happens if they get caught but he assures her they will be fine…his dad taught him to take care of family…and she can count on him.Steve returns home to find a worried Kayla. She notices that he has some bruises on his face and he explains what happened but he assures her that everything is okay and that Shawn, Belle and Claire are all safe. Bo comes over as Nick fills him in on the trip and assures Bo that they are safe. He warns Bo that they can’t contact them and that they are to play dumb as to knowing what happened or where they are. Chelsea and Nick arrive as she comes barreling in, babbling on about Shawn’s call. Bo thanks her as everyone hurries off to the pub.
Later, everyone is waiting at the pub for Shawn’s call as Chelsea tells them she admires Shawn for what he did. Steve suggests they lock the door so no one comes in while Bo is on the phone with him. Too late, as Roman walks in asking what they are all doing there. Bo tries to cover, saying they are just hanging out, talking about Shawn and Belle and wondering if they are ok. But Roman knows they are up to something and tells them that they were spotted in Toronto and that the cops are looking for them. Chelsea tells him to just leave them alone…Shawn is just trying to protect Claire. Everyone glares at her, so Nick leads her away. Roman tries to persuade them to cooperate and Steve says that Roman is just like everyone else…just doing what he has to. Roman asks them to please let him know if they hear from them.
Meanwhile, Merle wakes Shawn up, afraid he overslept. Belle wakes up too and Merle wants to tell them something. He has a friend of a friend who has told him of a freighter leaving for Africa and thought they’d want to know. Shawn is excited by the news, but Belle isn’t so sure. Merle says they could go as stow-aways and wouldn’t need passports. He assures them they would be safe, but it would come at a price.I lost the feed around this time, the last thing I saw was the gang at the pub.
Laney
To continue....but my memory may be a bit faulty here, did not take notes..... Barb
Merle tells Shawn & Belle it will cost $5000. Belle remembers her wedding ring, and says it has to be worth at least that much. There is a pawn shop about 3 blocks away, & Merle says he will take her (while Shawn stays with Claire). She puts on a hat and dark glasses and off they go. Later she returns, sadly reporting she could not sell the ring, even coming down on the price. After going to 3 pawn shops she realized that Philip has reported the ring stolen.
At the Pub, Roman tells everyone about the info received from the Michigan State Police. He talks of the drugged out wild man who drove the truck, threw boxes on the hood of the delivery truck, then jumped off at 80 mph. and ran into the woods, eluding the state police. He rattles off a list of charges a mile long, then asks Steve where he was. Steve says at home alone, while Kayla was at Marlena's. They all go back l& forth, until Steve finally says that yes, he stole the truck, helped Shawn, Belle & Claire escape, threw the boxes off at the police car, and jumped off while the truck was doing 80. Now Roman is a bit skeptical, and Steve again says he was home alone, and did not do anything. Roman says he will file a report with the Michigan State Police saying he has no info, but if he catches any of them doing one thing, that will be it.
At Chez Rouge, Mimi is picking at her meal, apologizing to Max for not touching this wonderful food. She is clearly still upset, and finally tells him that her brother told her the bones belong to her dad. She tells how he left 5 or 6 years ago to go out west, looking for work. At least that is what Bonnie told her. She just woke up one morning and he was gone. Now she will probably be the only Lockhart not in jail, and worries about Connor, as he is still young, a good kid, has gotten into some scrapes, but will be in trouble because of Bonnie. She hopes Nick will be able to get the test done and they will get answers.
Back at the Pub, Roman is still warning the group, when the pay phone begins to ring. The looks on all the faces are priceless. Nick & Chelsea are in a booth, and stand up, and as the phone continues to ring, Roman wonders just who that could be. Nick says it is probably for him, that he lost his cell phone, and left this number for his boss to reach him. He hopes it is all right. Sure. He answers, and says, oh, Hi, Dr. Rieber. Shawn, on the other end, is puzzled, but Nick whispers they have company. Nick continues to pretend that he is talking to his boss, as Roman again warns everyone and then leaves. Bo rushes over to the phone, with Shawn telling him about the freighter (tho not the details) and needing $5000. Bo said not to worry, he will get it to him. Shawn will call back later to get details. Bo hangs up and tells the group the news. Kayla said she will go across the street to the bank and get the money, as Bo says they can send it to Shawn. Nick warns them that the police can trace a money transfer. Steve volunteers to take the money to them, but Bo says all of them are probably being watched. Chelsea pipes up, saying not her. No one is watching her. SHE will take the money to Shawn.
Back at the shelter, Shawn tells Belle his dad is going to get them the money. They sit down on the cot, his arm around her, as she says everything seems to be finally going their way.
Outside, we see a Canadian police officer, with his hand seemingly on his holster, walking up to the shelter. And the previews show......
Kayla telling Steve that they need to get some help to deal with this (am sure they are talking about his episodes)
Nick looking shocked at Connor
Philip saying he is going to get Claire back
Barb

Hope to Bo: Shawn and Belle's future rests in Chelsea's hands. God help us!

Chelsea to Nick: What are we going to do if Phillip knows about us?
Nick: The only thing we can do... outsmart him.

Belle and Shawn find shelter, Chelsea turns a leaf, Sami confronts EJ; Lucas is given an option by Victor (is it just me or are we back to under 30 crowd taking over?)
CANADIAN HIDEOUTBelle and Shawn are given shelter by Merle (I believe it's Max Gail, the same actor that played Wojohowitz on Barney Miller) who’s helped draft dodgers for years. They’re taken into a clean dorm type of room with other people. He tells them to keep their cell phones turned off 24/7 as they can be traced (great advice!). There’s a pay phone in the hall with a bucket of quarters and to keep calls less than 3 minutes. Belle and Shawn thank him and promise not to stay very long or need too much. He asks them if they’re really the baby’s parents and not kidnappers. They say Claire is their daughter and the system is trying to take her away from them. He pulls out a map showing what countries don’t have a
n extradition treaty with the U.S. They read Algeria, Bangladash, and finally Russia. Merle comments how Russia’s a socialist paradise.. Shawn mentions it hasn’t since the wall came down, but he’s clueless about the wall. They ask to borrow his map to study. He agrees, but advises them to choose carefully as they’ll be there for a long time. Shawn asks Belle how her Russian is. Later he counts their cash..$300, saying that won’t even get them to Montreal. She offers to sell her wedding ring. He asks if she has second thoughts about taking off and she’s more worried about if he has. Claire must be sleeping as they step aside and he tells her what happened before is history and Claire is with her mom and dad and that’s all that counts. She can’t believe she’s saying this, but he reminds her of her dad. He’s flattered, saying it’s the nicest thing she could say to him. She asks if it’s safe to call home and he h as one phone that might not be tapped.
CHEZ ROUGEVictor and Lucas chow down while Victor orders Lucas to fly to Toronto to find Claire and bring her home. Lucas’ reply, sorry boss, can’t do. Vic’s not happy by that response, but Lucas explains this is not Titan business and he doesn’t want any pa
rt in Victor’s blood feud. Victor retorts Philip is his brother, but Lucas says he sides with his cousin and he should send Philip to get Claire back if that’s what he wants. Victor says he can’t as he doesn’t trust Philip. The war changed Philip, plus losing Belle and Claire, he couldn’t handle it. He wants Lucas to find them and convince them he and Philip won’t press charges if they return. Lucas asks if he’s sincere in that. Lucas asks what if he finds them and they don’t agree. Victor says it’s his job to convince them to return, Claire is his, oh and Philip’s of course. Lucas realizes it’s not an option for Belle and Shawn and refuses, saying he’s proven his loyalty to Victor business wise, but this is personal. Victor disagrees and tells him to choose whose side he’s on. Victor gives him a choice…get on the next flight to Toronto to bring Claire home or start checking the job want ads. Victor can’t believe he’s refusing and promises to blackball him with other jobs as well. Lucas tells him he’s proud he’s not his son and to take his job and shove it if this is the way he’s insisting it is. He walks away and Victor looks a little remorseful.NICK AND ABBY
Nick calls Abby (from the hospital) to tell her about Chelsea and Billie’s request for him to get Chelsea a job at the hospital. He explains his boss is the picture of the real Lonely Splicer. She tells him to just let Chelsea know there weren’t any openings. His boss walks in and after he hangs up with Abby, tells Nick that they have a job opening for a new Lab Assistant, asking if he knows anyone who’s not afraid of rats. We return to Nick looking in his microscope when his boss comes in saying he has a promising candidate to interview. Chelsea walks in and sees them together as Nick tries to hide him. Chelsea sees Dr. Shane Patton and identifies herself as his Dark Angel. Nick comes out of his trance realizing that can’t happen when he’s asked again to recommend someone for the lab assistant job of long hours and low pay, but having him as their doctor. Nick remembers Abby’s advice about telling Chelsea there aren’t any jobs available.
COP SHOPEJ is brought handcuffed to the open detectives office area where Sami is waiting to talk to him (eating crackers from a ziplock bag in her purse and carrying a bottle of water). She puts the bag in her purse before EJ steps into the room. He looks up saying he’s not dreaming..she’s the most beautiful woman he’s ever seen. The two quip back and forth about Lexie and how Sami blackmailed her at one time. He resents having to prove himself and the police have no proof he shot John. He was waiting in the boathouse for her to run away to Paradise with her. He knows she set him up and can forgive and forget. He goes on about feeling so complete in her arms that night (in the front seat of Lexie’s sedan? LOL) She calls him smooth, like a well oiled snake. He dares her to go to her daddy and take all her evidence she thinks she has, knowing they don’t have anything on him. They quietly chat as she asks what he did with Lexie and Tek..are they in Italy being tortured DiMera style or did he kill them and leave them in the woods? He calmly replies he hates she thinks so badly of him. She mentions what he did to John too. He’s surprised she’s forgiven John and she says he (EJ) is the only one she hates. He’s glad she hasn’t gone totally Mother Teresa on him after they made love that time. She refers to it as rape, but he insists she wanted it too. Sami says she hated every second of his slimy pawing her, but just wanted to make sure he realizes that she didn’t tell anyone about that night and to leave her family alone. She’s clearly repulsed by him, but it encourages him even more as he tells her his team of lawyers are going to convince the DA to free him. He plans on restoring his business and relationships and wants her to work for him again. She backs up saying, no, no , no and he tells her to think on it. All she wants is his promise not to be dead next to Lexie and Tek in a swamp and he kisses her hand, saying her wish is his command. He stares her in the face saying he could never hurt her, the mother of his child. She lies, saying she was using protection that night. EJ tells her maybe next time… and she stares him in the eyes and tells him there won’t be a next time Elvis, or I’ll kill you. He comments she sounds serious about that. She warns him whatever he’s planning, to keep her and her family out of it. He tells the empty room….yes dear, you can count on that…
Later a handsome detective tells EJ (who was just being taken back to his cell by a young officer with mouth open in surprise) that Roman (not Commander Brady) informed him the DA ordered his release. EJ gets his personal belongings and is told to get out after signing his release. EJ complies (wow, lots of cops doing paperwork in the office) He calls and gets Kate’s voice mail saying he’s “sprung” and suggests a business meeting, clothing optional.
SAMI & LUCAS’ APARTMENT
They both return home about the same time. He was there first and surprised she wasn’t there cooking like he thought. She tells him she was walking the mall and
surprised when he goes on about her not leaving a note, etc. She promises to do so next time and asks about his meeting with Victor (being he ate with him, it’s a good thing she wasn’t cooking!). He tells her about what Victor wanted, his refusal and being fired. She tells him he can get another job, but he explains Victor’s blackballing him. She suggests getting a job herself, but he puts his foot down saying no, he committed to support their family and will, which takes her back a little. She argues her being pregnant is the WRONG answer, it’s not 1957 and women work until they’re about to give birth all the time now. He taps his head agreeing, saying STUPID MALE PRIDE 3 times, LOL…cute. He kids he’ll probably be asking if they want fries at Burger Barn, LOL, but she has more confidence in his ability. She asks him to keep their pregnancy secret under the circumstances so people won’t pity them and will keep Roman privy to their news. They exchange I love yous and kiss.THE PUB
Chelsea joins Abby. Abby thought about Chelsea’s suggestion she also go to college and decided to do so. She’s signed up for the full 16 units. Chelsea walks over and gives her a big hug in excitement. Chelsea is so excited and rambles on about sororities, studying together, etc. Chelsea promises to protect Abby if the other gals get mean as she’s the queen of it. Chelsea has drempt of a big house with other people, someone to clean up after you and a sorority mother to give you advice. She gets choked up as she tells Abby about a memory she had of her mother watering the lawn at sunset and how protected she felt. Lonely Splicer did that to her too and brought her own attributes out in the open that she should remember. Abby reminds her Billie’s always been good to her and Chelsea says she’s got her own life to deal with, citing almost walking in on her with someone. Abby tells her she’s reading too much into a one night stand, but Chelsea figures Billie cares more for that guy. Nick arrives and they tell him about going to college. Chelsea asks Nick about a job and he says he checked with the department heads, nothing’s available. She thanks him for checking and lets it go at that. Abby splits as she promised to work a shift at Chez Rouge for Maggie and Chelsea hugs her goodbye, again looking forward to setting the college world on fire together. Alone, she asks Nick if he has any idea who her mom’s boyfriend might be. He chokes when she reminds him about the belt she found and if he’ll help her find him. She says she’s kidding and he’s an amazing friend and a great guy and appreciates him. She kisses him on the lips to prove she’s sincere. Nick is speechless, literally, saying he has to go, but she asks him to celebrate her going to college with her, suggesting they.get some food and go out to the damn (isn’t it still winter there?). He agrees. On the way out the pay phone at the pub rings and Nick doesn’t figure it’s worth answering, but Chelsea stares at it, trying to decide if she should….(it’s Shawn)…as the previews roll….

Episode #: 10492
Tape Date: 12/20/06
Air Date: 01/25/07
Director: Phil Sogard
Summary: Not a whole lot going on in this show...Mimi learns the truth about “Mr. Bones”…Kate pays a visit to EJ in jail…Chelsea admits to Nick that she really does like him…Sami is determined to go and talk to EJ.
At the Lockhart House…Bonnie and Conner return from burying the bones all dirty as Mimi walks in demanding to know what they have been up to. They try to lie and say they had a water problem in the basement but took care of it. Mimi tells Conner if he is going to lie to at least pay attention to their mom, so he can learn how to get good at it. Mimi whips out a police artist sketch of the guy who helped steal the bones at the morgue, asking them if he looks familiar. She stares Conner down as Bonnie says she thinks it looks a little like Matt Damon. Mimi tells her to shut up and puts the squeeze on Conner. He spills the beans, blurting out that Mom made him help her. Bonnie immediately starts denying it as Mimi demands that Conner tell her the truth. He stammers around so Mimi storms out, saying she will just find out herself as Bonnie and Conner go to fix them something to eat. Later Mimi comes back in with the bag of bones and slams them on the table, threatening to call the cops if they don’t tell her what’s going on. They claim that they were only trying to protect her so she grabs the phone to call the cops. Conner cracks and tells her the bones in the bag…are their dad (yea, big surprise there, huh?). Mimi almost faints when she hears this, not able to comprehend what they are telling her. She demands to know what happened to him but Bonnie refuses to answer, saying she could incriminate herself. Mimi demands to know if she killed him. Conner begs her to just forget about it and she can’t believe them. Conner claims that he doesn’t know what happened, only that Mom told him that she needed his help. He says he is going to bed so Mimi turns to Bonnie and informs her that if Bonnie doesn’t tell her everything, she is taking the bones to the police and tell them what she knows. Taking the bones with her to her room for safe keeping, she tells Bonnie she has until morning to tell her the truth or she is going to the police.
At the Pub…Chelsea and Abby are talking about school as Chelsea tries to talk Abby into enrolling full-time so they experience college life. Abby asks her if she has given up on Dr. Shane Patton. Outside Nick is pondering telling Chelsea the truth, but Billie assures him that she will never find out. Nick tells her that his first time was great and that Billie shouldn’t feel guilty…he doesn’t. She tells him it would have never happened had she not have been drinking and that she has gone back to her AA meetings. She promises him that she will never tell and for her they are just sweet memories. She tells him that she thinks he has been a good influence on Chelsea and about her wanting to go to college. He says no, it is Dr. Patton she is wanting to impress. Inside, Chelsea tells Abby that it is over with Dr. Patton…he dumped her and she is ready to move on and leave “Dr. McDrippy” behind. She continues to try and convince Abby to go to school full time and Abby says she will think about it. Billie tells Nick she approves of him and Chelsea but Nick says it is Dr. Patton that she wants, but Billie thinks that Chelsea really likes Nick, she just doesn’t know it yet. She asks if Chelsea knows how he feels and he says yes, that is how she uses him to do things for her. Billie tells him to just not give up on Chelsea yet and hang in there. She gives him a hug and leaves. Nick goes back inside as Chelsea grills him about where he has been. Abby excuses herself and leaves. Chelsea won’t let him change the subject and he says he was just talking with someone old enough to be her mom. Chelsea tells him to not knock mom…she’s pretty hot…and Nick agrees (lol). He starts asking her about school, and about what she plans to study…she is considering law. She starts on him again about helping her get a job as he tries to discourage her. He ends up telling her that she is beautiful as she smiles, thanking him for the compliment, saying no one has told her that before. She decides to leave and Nick follows her out, wanting to tell her the truth. He tells her that when he is at work, that is his “real world” and he needs to keep the two worlds separate. She says she understands and is not upset. She asks if he is afraid she would embarrass him and he says no, he fears he would embarrass himself. She says she is trying to change and she understands. He finally tells her he will ask about the job. She is thrilled and says that she just wants him to be proud of her and he says he already is. She tells him that she knows it really sounds lame…but she really likes him and probably always has…she just likes teasing him. She can’t believe how great he has been to her, considering she treated him so bad. She says that he inspires her and she apologizes for how mean she has been. He promises to always be her friend. She kisses him and takes off as he floats about a foot off the ground.
At Sami’s…Roman is there telling them that EJ is back in Salem and that he turned himself in. He tells them that EJ claims to have friends that can clear his name and mentioned Sami in particular. Sami spits that EJ is NOT her friend. Roman informs that with Lexie and Tek missing, the cops have no case against him. Sami says they are not coming back because she is sure that they are dead and that EJ killed them. Roman says they have no proof of that, but she is sure that is what happened…and now she is next on the list. Lucas tries to calm her down and urges her to tell Roman their good news. She tells him that she is pregnant. He tells her that she doesn’t look too happy and she tells him she is but EJ…(as she trails off). Roman promises her that no one is going to hurt her or her baby. Lucas promises that if EJ ever comes near Sami, he will have to go through him first. Roman tells them that he doesn’t think that they have enough evidence to hold EJ, but promises Sami that she is going to be okay. He asks when he can start spreading the news and Sami tells him it’s too early yet. Roman leaves as Lucas is ranting about EJ.
Billie drops by asking if everything is okay. Sami tells her about EJ being back in town and will probably go free. Sami says she has to go and talk to him while there are still bars between them. Billie thinks it is a bad idea and tries to talk her out of it. She begs Billie to help her and tell Lucas that they are going shopping the next morning. Billie doesn’t want to go along with it but finally gives in and makes Sami swear on the Salem phone book (lol) that she will not try to be a hero. Lucas comes back (he had to take a phone call from Victor) telling them he has to go over to his house. He worries about leaving Sami alone, but she says that Billie is right down the hall and she will be okay. After Billie leaves, Lucas tells Sami that Victor is on the warpath over Shawn and Belle taking Claire. They talk about it and both of them agree that Belle and Shawn did the right thing.
At the Cop Shop…Kate is visiting EJ as she walks over and slaps him across the face, telling him he had better be glad she doesn’t have a gun. She tells him that because he fled the country, all her assets are frozen. He claims that the Salem PD was just trying to set him up. She asks him if he shot John and he (of course) denies it and says he cannot afford to be abandoned by her…she knows he couldn’t have done it. He asks her if this is all about who he REALLY is…a DiMera, saying he is NOT his father. Kate asks if he has witnesses who can prove he didn’t shoot John and he says yes, so she accuses him of paying people off. (He claims he was half way to Mexico when John was shot). He tells her that he will have his lawyers get Mythic back open for business but she says she can’t work with him…John was a friend and she cares about him. EJ tells her that she is his full time partner and part time lover…she can’t have it both ways…which will it be?
She begins to back-track, asking why he took off to Mexico. He explains that it is because the cops were dogging him and investigating him and that it culminated with them trying to set him up…and Sami was in on it. Kate wants to know just how Sami got involved…and that she has a theory of how things went down the night John was shot. She rambles on about Sami being named a hero, saving Lucas all by herself. She says she doesn’t believe it for a second but EJ plays innocent, claiming he didn’t help her. But Kate says EJ had to have help escaping and getting through the road blocks. EJ says she has quite the imagination and should be writing fantasy novels (lol). He tells her as uncomfortable as it is for her, she needs to get used to the fact that Sami is going to become her daughter-in-law. Kate refuses to believe that Sami acted alone and is sure that EJ helped her, but he stands by his story. He tells Kate that she has a decision to make or he will have Mythic Communications dissolved. He calls for the cop to come and get him. He says he was used to having her around and kisses her, saying he is going to miss her. FF on Kate…as the previews show…Victor (to Lucas): I want you to find Claire and bring her home…(Lucas): I’m sorry, boss, but I can’t do that…
Belle (to Shawn): We left everything behind…(Shawn): So, do you think we made a mistake?...
Chelsea (to Nick): My mom had her boyfriend over…and I just want to know if you have any idea who it was…
EJ (to Sami): The reason you didn’t put up a fight is because you wanted it just as much as I did…
And the credits roll…

Episode #10,491Taped 12/18/06
Director - Herb Stein
EJ returns to Salem to taunt both Roman & Sami, while Chelsea shares her news with family & friends, and Steve manages to help Shawn & Belle flee the country.
ise or awards. Lucas leaves to get Sami something special to eat, since she is so nauseus (amazing how he gets around on that broken leg with only a cane). Now EJ calls Sami on her cell, and she realizes he is back in town. He has some of his slimy, innuendos to taunt her. She tells him she knows he shot John, and she has kept her word not to tell anyone she saw him. He mentions all the honors she is getting for her heroic rescue, and claims he kept his word and helped her with Lucas. She angrily tells him never to call her again, and abruptly hangs up. Lucas returns to a sobbing Sami, and tells her he realizes she doesn’t want to have this baby, not to worry, they will work it out. He presses Sami to tell him what is going on with her, it cannot be all hormones. She makes excuses, and Lucas gives her a huge pep talk.
iveness. She apologizes for all the mean things she has said to them, and then goes on about Shane Patton changing her. Abby is rather unbelieving, while Nick seems to listen with a rather surprised expression. Billie comes in, having been to an AA meeting, and wanting some of Caroline’s chili. Chelsea asks her to join them (great hat, Billie!). Nick gets very nervous, clumsy and knocks over the water glass. Chelsea now springs her news, bringing out a letter that says she has been accepted at Salem U. Billie is thrilled, until she hears Abby mention Shane Patton again, and does not like this internet friendship. She then lets Chelsea know she cannot afford the tuition, but Chelsea says not to worry. She has talked to financial aid office, and can get a scholarship because she had such good grades in high school. Abby is rather disbelieving of that, but Chelsea assures her that with the scholarship and a job, she will have no problems. She talks about splitting atoms and gene cells, and Nick is surprised. Chelsea claims she aced chemistry and physics. Billie is surprised she has a job, but Chelsea says not yet. Billie remembers all the community service work Chelsea did at the hospital, & asks Nick if he can get Chelsea a job in his lab. Nick says no way, but Chelsea hocks onto that right away and begs him to try and talk to his boss. Chelsea then tells her mom how she can have the apt. to herself, and not worry about having her secret boyfriend over. Billie gets upset, saying she has no secret boyfriend and gets up to leave. Nick gets very nervous and also leaves. Chelsea now talks to Abby about school, knowing she is only going part-time while she works for Max. She tells Abby that Max will let her work any hours, and she should consider enrolling full time, at least for one semester. She goes on about frat parties, football games (hey Chelsea, football is over til next fall..)and how much fun they could have. Nick follows Billie, telling her they have to talk.
Shawn just called him to say they were near the finish line. Roman tells Philip that he was getting ready to do the same thing with Claire, mentioning Brussels, Philip tries to brush it off, saying if he had to go on a business trip, naturally he would take his daughter, but Roman reminds him he was not allowed to leave the country either. Then Roman brings up the way Victor enticed Belle to the diner, in order for Claire to be taken, and then use it against her in court. They argue big time, and are really nose to nose, with Philip angrily threatening Roman. (This is not the cute Philip we used to know, lol). He leaves and in walks EJ Wells, now complete with beard. (Wonder if he is supposed to now be trying to resemble Stefano??). EJ claims that as soon as Steve told him the Salem police wanted to question him, he returned. Roman tells him he is going by the book, and proceeds to read him his Miranda rights. EJ denies shooting John, and taunts Roman about not having any witnesses, since both Lexie and Tek are missing. He enjoys showing off how obviously up to date he has been kept. Roman asks him why he came back, and EJ tells him to see old friends, especially Roman’s daughter, Sami, with whom he has become exceedingly close. This does not set well with Roman, who tells him what a good man John Black is, and how he was wired, but EJ managed to block the transmission, and Roman should have gone in right then. EJ replies that John broke into his safety deposit box, arranged for his apt. to be searched, and got exactly what he deserved. An angry Roman calls Officer Caesarus in to book EJ and take him to a cell. Now Philip returns, telling Roman that Shawn & Belle are going to need money, and probably the only thing Belle has with her of value is her wedding ring. When she tries to sell it, alarms will go off all over. “So you reported it stolen, huh?”, sez Roman. He then tells Philip that if he & Victor are not happy with the Salem PD, perhaps they should hire their own police dept. LOL
wn send love to their folks. Steve is anxious to get going, but Shawn is making excuses about getting coffee or something. Steve finally agrees to get some juice for Claire, and when he & Belle leave, Shawn calls Philip (glad he has enough change in his pocket for the pay phone, lol). He tells Philip they are nearly at the finish line, and he will not ever see Belle & Claire again. He hangs up. Later, they are back in the truck, with everyone sleeping, and Steve fiddling with the radio, trying to get some music other than elevator music. (Boy, all I ever get is country or rock when I travel, lol). He finally gets something with a beat….uh, oh. As he listens to the drums, he starts having another episode of being tied down, and having shock treatments. He starts yelling for it to stop, waking Shawn (hard to believe Belle & Claire did not hear a thing). Steve claims he was talking to a tailgater, who finally passed them. Shawn asks if he is all right. Sure. He tells Shawn they are just 20 miles from the border, and it won’t be long now. Now we hear sirens, as Steve says they have company. Belle urges him to stop, saying he is going too fast, and they have no car seat for Claire. Steve refuses to slow down, and in an absolutely unbelievable manner, Shawn climbs over Belle & Claire and takes the driver seat, while Steve goes into the back of the truck. And they did not slow down one iota. Mind you, it is winter, and there is lots of snow on that road. The cops are yelling thru a bullhorn that they will shoot out the tires unless the truck pulls over. Steve raises the back door of the truck, and begins yelling (like when he has an “episode”, and starts throwing boxes out on the road. (it IS a delivery truck, after all) The cops evidently pull over, tho we never see them. Now Steve comes forward, telling Shawn & Belle it is just a short distance to the border, don’t stop for anything, then ditch the truck. He is going to jump out the back and divert their attention. He goes to the back and jumps out.
Shawn & Belle continue into Canada, and we now see them outside the truck, in the snow, talking of what they will do next. For some reason, Belle pulls off Claire’s hat, (it obviously is cold, so that was odd). Shawn picks up their bag, and they begin walking. And the previews show…..
KATE: Did you shoot John or not?
EJ: Kill a man in cold blood? I could not do that, you know that, don’t you?
SAMI: Tek & Lexie aren’t coming back
LUCAS: Why would you say that? (Roman looks on)
SAMI: Cuz they’re dead and EJ killed them
CONNOR: Give it up, Mom. You’re a Lockhart and you got a right to know
MIMI: Who is it?
CONNOR: It’s………..
CHELSEA…RATHER EMOTIONAL: Nick, I really like you

EPISODE: 10490DIRECTED BY: Albert Alarr
TAPE DATE: 12/18/06
Steve helps Belle & Shawn get away; Kayla and Marlena await news together; Sami’s day ends with tears.
PENTHOUSE
Kayla makes tea for herself and Marlena, who’s worried about her daughter. We see Steve steps outside from the church to call Kayla and tell her everyone’s okay and they’re going to hit the road. He can’t use that phone once they leave, but promises to keep in touch. She tells Marlena and excuses herself to touch base with Stephanie. Marlena assures her she’s alright and snuggles up with John’s picture on the couch. Marlena falls asleep as Kayla updates Stephanie on Steve’s call. Kayla returns to find Marlena asleep and takes John’s picture from her and covers her with a throw. Marlena calls out for John in her sleep. In
her dream she hears John calling out for her and steps out on the balcony looking for him. She’s lost in the curtains on the balcony and pulls them all away seeing his face in the distance. She finally reaches him, calling his name and wakes up calling out to him. Kayla rushes to her as Marlena says John’s trying to reach out to her. She tells Kayla about John’s whispering KILLER to her just before surgery as he looked up at Steve, thinking Steve might be in danger. Kayla tells her about what’s happened to Steve and the episodes he’s been having, knowing Stefano is behind them and worried about his missing years and what might have happened. Marlena offers to help Steve professionally and Kayla said she had suggested that. Marlena suggests hypnosis. She says the two of them will be there for Steve.
SALEM'S FAVORITE HIDEY HOLEBelle comforts Claire as she and Shawn hear a vehicle approaching. It’s a delivery truck. Steve walks in asking if they have a box to pick up, then asks if they’re ready for a road trip as he spends a minute with Claire (GET OUT OF THERE!). Outside Philip walks up in the snow and finds Claire’s stuffed animal on the ground saying…’gotcha’. Steve steps outside to call Kayla (see above) and after hanging up can tell by imprints in the snow they’re not alone. Belle and Shawn get Claire ready to leave when Philip walks in. Belle asks Philip why he’s acting like this and they’ve always been friends. Philip is shocked at this from her and says he only cares for Claire now and deserves more then either of them can give her. Philip brags about having the court and his name on his side, asking what do they have. Belle says Claire and walks away. Shawn stands between her and Philip, so Philip proceeds to beat Shawn unconscious, shouting at him what h
e said to him at the hospital about who’s daughter Claire is. He moves toward Belle as we see her turn and Shawn slowly getting up in the back of the church (where’s Steve?) Ah ha…Steve shows up and womps Philip on the head, knocking him out. Belle’s worried about Philip, but Steve says he’ll have a bump on his head, but will be okay. They have to get out of there. Shawn’s hurting, holding his gut and wants a minute before leaving. Steve warns them they only have a couple of minutes, but Shawn asks Steve for his help. We return to them locking Philip in the same place Mimi and Max were held (how did they know about it?) as Philip calls out to be let out of there. We find them all driving in the truck as Steve winces. Shawn asks Steve if he’s okay (sure is a bright moon or headlights coming their way to cast such a shadow on Steve’s head, LOL) They talk about Canada and Shawn hopes they don’t flag their passports when they enter the country. Steve has a different idea, to put them on a freighter (paying off a crew member to hide them). He asks where they want to go and Shawn says Montreal. Steve says it’ll be a couple thousand to pay off the crew member and Belle and Shawn look concerned and Steve realizes they didn’t bring a lot of money with them. He questions what they were thinking about running off without money (good question) and they realize they should have, but weren’t thinking straight. Once they get to Montreal they’ll be okay. Steve hopes so, but thinks they’re making a big mistake. He tells them Kayla was right and they’ll always be looking over their shoulder. He asks how they’re going to pay for medical needs, food, etc. (yeah, did you bring Claire’s antirejection meds?). Shawn knows he’s telling the truth, but asks he lay off. Steve agrees, just frustrated. Unfortunately Victor/Philip have both money and power. Steve orders them to get some sleep as they’ll need it once they get over the border into Canada. Shawn has his arm around Belle and they close their eyes, but Claire is babbling away, LOL, obviously not tired. The music cues up as the camera freezes on Steve’s face as it looks like he’s fighting off another episode.
BACK TO THE CHURCH
Philip is screaming at the top of his lungs for help. A cop arrives pointing his gun and Philip calls out to him, tells him who he is, calling him an idiot. He orders the cop to call for help on his radio. He takes Claires’s stuffed animal as he quietly rants. He calls Victor and the officer pops in to tell him they got a lead about a delivery turck that was stolen nearby. Philip tells Victor.
SAMI AND LUCASSami and Lucas kiss in front of the fire as her award lies on the table. She feels like she’s in a dream, but he assures her it’s true. He knows she’s changed and can trust her now. Sensing her being uncomfortable and holding something from him, he asks what it is. The subject changes to Belle, Shawn and Philip as they both worry about their siblings. Sami tells him she wasn’t involved and he knows it, but it still surprises her no one blames her for it. Sami questions Kate’s latest affirmation to be friends, but Lucas is as gullible as ever and does. We return to him shirtless and them smooching as she stops and asks him if he’s happy, still not believing people will accept her for herself. He reassures her how hungry he is for her no matter where she is or what she’s done. He loves her and saving his life just added to that love. He says “I love my baby” and she giggles, then rushes out of the room (to get sick). Sami returns in her robe as Lucas is on the phone with Roman, asking if they’ve heard anything from Lexie. She’s missing. He fills her in on what Roman told him how Lexie lied about witnessing EJ shooting John, it was really Tek, and their case against EJ will be blown to bits. Sami looks shocked at that news. She pulls him down on the couch asking him to tell her everything her dad said. He tells her about how Lexie told Abe the truth and she and Tek took off together. Sami’s worried that EJ arranged for Tek and Lexie to disappear. He wonders if maybe Lexie and Tek just took off together? Sami is scared that EJ arranged for them to disappear so they can’t testify against him and afraid she and Lucas are next on his list. He doesn’t understand why she’s worried about that and she rushes out of the room again to the bathroom. She comes out later and he’s worried about her, asking if she was sick (he couldn’t hear?). He offers to call a doctor for her, but she tells him no. He tells her it’s been a long night and they’re both exhausted. H e suggests they just go to bed and cuddle under the covers. We see her looking into the fire with tears in her eyes. She tells him no, there’s something she has to tell him first….she turns around, takes his hands in hers and looking him in the eyes says…I’m pregnant, then bursts into tears in his lap….as the previews roll….
NICK TO BILLIE: “I think we should talk about that night, don’t you?”
SHAWN to STEVE (in the truck with lights flashing behind them): “Pull over, we’re not going to make it.”
STEVE: “I’m not pulling over….”
ROMAN to EJ: “What are your reasons for coming back?”
EJ (sporting his beard): “Your daughter, for one. We’ve become very close.”
LUCAS TO SAMI: “You don’t want to have this baby do you, Honey it’s all right, we’ll find a way.”
SAMI breaks into tears.

Episode #: 10489
Tape Date: 12/15/06
Air Date: 01/22/07
Director: Phil Sogard
Summary: Max helps Shawn and Belle, as Philip comes after Mimi… Steve returns home to find Kayla upset with him…and Abe catches Lexie in a lie for the last time…This appears to be the last show (at least for a while) for Renee Jones, as well as Rasshan Orange. Best of luck to both of them from The Early Edition!
On the run…Belle and Claire are waiting for Shawn to return (saying he went to get blankets). They are in (what looks like) the same abandoned church where Max and Mimi were held at Christmas. Shawn comes back and they turn on the radio to learn that there are police roadblocks up all over town and cops at the airport and bus station as they listen to reports about the kidnapping. Belle thinks they should go ahead and leave, but Shawn says they should wait on Max to get back. He promises he will not let anything happen and they will always be there for Claire, as they talk about her future.
Meanwhile, at Max’s Place…
He and Mimi are packing up bags of supplies for them (food, diapers, clothes and some money). He is going to take them the things as Mimi stays there to run interference in case the cops show up. With a kiss, he is on his way. After he leaves, Philip shows up demanding to know where his daughter is. He gives her a hard time for “snagging” another Brady, he demands to know where they are hiding. She tells him that she can’t help him but he tells her he SAW her and Max in the car and knows they are in on it. He warns her if she doesn’t help him, soon she will be in prison with her brother. She gives him a “reality check”, reminding him he isn’t Claire’s father and accuses him of doing all this out of revenge for Belle leaving him. He says he has tried to be the good guy and look what it got him…he lost his wife and his daughter…this time, he is going to take back what is his. He tells her that Victor always taught him if you want something…do whatever it takes to get it and that is the philosophy he is going to live by from now on. He says he didn’t start this war, but he is going to end it…and take no prisoners. Mimi tells him she is trough talking with him and only wants Shawn and Belle to get justice but he says it was HER lies that started all this in motion. If she had been truthful about Claire’s paternity maybe he and Belle could have worked things out and still be together. Mimi tells him that Belle NEVER loved him and it’s not her fault that he lost his family. He gets angry and says he is not letting her off the hook and walks over to the door and locks it. She gulps, asking if he is threatening her. He tells her to make this easy on herself. He takes her cell phone and punches Max’s number.
Shawn and Belle hear someone at the door and duck for cover, but Max comes in and calls for them, with their supplies. He tells them about the road blocks and is fearful that they won’t make it out of town. They thank him for his help, saying they will never forget it. Shawn thinks they may need some help and thinks maybe they could call Steve and Kayla. But Belle thinks they may tell Bo but Shawn thinks they may have to take the chance. Max’s phone rings and he recognizes the number and knows it’s Mimi, asking “what’s up?” as Philip demands to speak to Belle. Max hands her the phone and takes off, realizing that Mimi is in trouble. Philip demands she give Claire back but she says no. He says he still loves her but she tells him that she and Shawn love her too and they are going to be a family. Philip flies into a rage and slams the phone across the room, telling Mimi she has 2 minutes to tell him where they are. Meanwhile, Belle tells Shawn maybe he should make that call to Steve.
Philip grabs Mimi’s arm and twists it behind her back and ties her wrists together. He walks across the room as she has a look of terror on her face, asking “Oh my God…what are you going to do with that?” Later, Max comes bursting in and hears her whimpering. He finds her bound and gagged and stuffed into a trunk. He gets her out as she is blubbering that she told him where they were…God help her, but she did. She yells for him to call and warn them that Philip is on their way. Max swears he is going to kill Philip for what he did to her, but she begs him to stay with her as they start kissing.
At the Pub…Bo and Kayla are talking about Shawn and Belle taking Claire. He fears that Victor will come after them with a vengeance. Then on the other hand that best-case scenario is (if they make it) that he will never see them again. He just wishes he could talk to them and make sure that they are okay. Steve comes in (wow, fast trip from Mexico) claiming that he is safe and sound (and boy is Kayla po’d at him). He tells them that he found EJ and shows them the wallet and “smell” phone (as he calls it) he lifted, saying that it had a lot of calls to Italy on it. He also shows them the travel visa he found in his wallet and says if he wants to replace it, he will have to return to the good ole US of A and they can nab him. Bo leaves to go see Abe as Steve asks Kayla if she is mad at him as she gives him ‘what for’ and he says he was only trying to protect her. He tells her that EJ knows all about his ‘episodes’ and even brought up Benji’s name. He reminds her that the episodes all started that night they had dinner with Benji and Sonya. He says that he was such a good kid…but is also a DiMera and says that even the good ones get their hands dirty. Kayla tries to convince him to let the police handle it but Steve says he needs to talk to Benji himself. She begs him to let her help but he says he needs to keep her safe. She is upset that he is keeping secrets from her and that it worries her that she can’t trust him. They talk about trust and honesty and he says he is only trying to get their life back. She begs him not to go it alone…they can work together. They are kissing when Shawn calls and tells him that he is with Belle and Claire and needs his help to get to Canada. Steve tells him he will call him right back. Kayla wants to help too and they agree that they should call Bo and let him know what is going on (which he does…see below). Later, Steve is on the phone with Shawn, who tells him they are at the old abandoned church. Steve tells Kayla to let him handle this on his own…he will be in and out…quick and easy…as he leaves.
At the Carver House…
Abe is going over some file with this HUGE magnifying glass (couldn’t’ help but LOL at it) as Lexie comes home. He is upset as he is looking at her cell phone bill and how it doesn’t jive with her police statement. He points out that at the time John got shot, she was on the phone with HIM. (And how do they know the EXACT time John got shot? That’s kind of silly). He warns her that EJ’s defense lawyer would tear her story apart on the stand. He wants the truth so she finally confesses and tells him that someone else saw the shooting. He presses her and she finally tells him it was Tek. She tries to explain what happened that night and swears that nothing was going on. She tells him that Tek witnessed the shooting and then came and told her about it. She says she was only trying to protect Abe and swears she did everything she could to discourage Tek. But Abe doesn’t want to hear anymore and asks her to leave. She cries and pleads with him but he wants her to get her things and get out. He says he can not and WILL NOT let her do this to them again…it’s over. Later, we see her lugging her bags down the stairs as she tells him she never wanted this to end, but she guesses she let him down too many times and is sorry for all the pain she caused him. As she opens the door, Bo is there asking what is going on. She tells him she has messed up and leaving to sort out her life. She leaves and is crying on the front stoop. Bo says he can come back later, but Abe tells him to come on in. Bo fills him in about Steve getting EJ’s wallet and cell phone, but Abe tells him it doesn’t matter and fills him in that it was Tek that witnessed the shooting, not Lexie. He says that neither of them are now viable witnesses…and EJ will walk away from it. Bo says it’s not over, Tek can still testify and they have circumstantial evidence. Bo’s phone rings…(it’s Steve, who fills him in about Shawn and how he is going to help him). Bo just nods and tells him to do whatever he has to and hangs up. Abe tells Bo it’s ironic…he stepped down as commissioner to spend time with his family and make his marriage stronger…now he has lost is job AND his marriage. Bo asks if he wants him to hang around but Abe tells him no…he just wants to be alone.
Later, we see Lexie in the car with Tek (she had called him). She tells him that Abe figured it all out and now she has lost him. He tells her the best thing she can do now is start fresh…forget about Abe and EJ and run off with him. She tells him he is crazy, she is NOT going to leave her son. She demands he pull over and let her out. Tek complains that he can’t see, the car behind them has their lights on bright…the look up and they are headed straight for another car. Lights flash in their eyes as he hits the brakes as they spin out of control with Lexie screaming…and the previews show…Shawn (to Belle): Steve’s coming…(Philip): I don’t think so…your are not going anywhere…
Marlena (to Kayla): He is still trying to get a message to me…and I hate to say it, but it was about Steve, I believe…
Sami (to Lucas): What if EJ found out that Lexie and Tek saw him shoot John…and had them eliminated…and WE are the next on that list?...
Steve (to Shawn and Belle…looks like they are in a truck): Life on the road is not easy…especially with that old snake Kiriakis is the one on your tail…
And the credits roll…

EPISODE: 10,488
DIRECTED BY: Albert Alarr
TAPE DATE: 12/15/06
Belle and Shawn get Claire; Steve chats with EJ; Sami finally gets her award.
SAMI’S APARTMENT
Sami and Lucas are dressed up for the award ceremony and she tries to entice him to blow off going and stay home for another round in the bedroom. He convinces her otherwise by saying her dad worked so hard on getting this for her and besides, he carries a big gun. She laughs and they kiss when Will walks in and captures it on his cellphone camera. Lucas asks for a copy and pulls out his own cell camera to capture a picture of Will with Sami as Will’s vest reads “My mom is Sami Brady and yours isn’t”. His friends made it for him. Will is proud of her.
MEXICO CITYSteve is not only in Mexico City already (we won’t even ponder where he got a passport and what name is on it) but walks up to EJ in the bar. EJ knows who Steve is despite not looking at him while he enjoys a local female resident’s neck. Steve pulls the warrant for EJ’s arrest out of his pocket after ordering himself a tequila. EJ inquires about the rest of the posse, but Steve says he’s there by himself. EJ says for Steve to take it back to Abe and Roman and they’ll know where to file it. Steve suggests EJ turn himself in, but EJ knows the Salem PD have no jurisdiction in Mexico and knows how long it will take to extradite him. He walks off saying..Hasta La Vista, baby. Steve joins him at the table with another Tequila for both of them. EJ has the pretty Seno
rita on his lap as Steve explains he’s his new best friend as he points out John’s in a coma after EJ shot him and how he almost killed him and his wife with that poisonous gas. EJ points out they didn’t die though and his prayers are with John and his family, denying shooting him. He whispers in the girl’s ear and she goes to the bar. EJ says when Samantha was helping him escape he knew he’d have to get away from Salem and the keystone cops for a while. Steve says when he closes his eye, EJ sounds like British royalty, but he’s not. In fact, the eyewitness they have who saw EJ shoot John called him a low class coward. When EJ looks startled at that revelation, Steve says…”that’s right Squire Crumpets, the cops have a witness.” EJ tells him he won’t return to Salem as eyewitnesses are something you see in the “cinema”. The Salem PD tried to get Patrick Lockhart to help them and now John’s in a coma, he’s not returning. Steve grabs his arm and asks who helped him escape (uh, he told you earlier that Samantha did Steve..too much tequila?) EJ tells him to remove his hand from his arm and points out the local patrons don’t appreciate it (apparently the senorita got them on guard) as they all walk toward the two men. Steve says he’s not threatening him and EJ points out that’s good, as Patch has his own problems, citing his memories coming back to haunt him. Steve is surprised that EJ knows about this. He grabs him and demands to know more as EJ describes what’s happening to Steve exactly, calling him “Patch”. Steve demands to know if Stefano’s behind all this and EJ laughs as the other guys pull Steve off of him, saying Steve will know soon in a place where Angels fear to tread. The men protect EJ and Steve finally screams and tackles him. EJ tells the men to get him out of there and shouts for Steve to say hi to Benjy for him.Later EJ tells the bartender to bring him the bill and even though he’s told it’s on the house, EJ still insists on the bill. He reaches for his wallet and finds both it and his cellphone missing. We see Steve unconscious in a courtyard, flat out on the patio. He comes to and reaches in his jacket pocket to find EJ’s phone and wallet, laughing.
SALEM U HOSPITAL
Max and Mimi are in the front seat and Belle and Shawn in the back as Max goes over the plan to
grab Claire from Philip after her doctor appointment to get her immunizations. Mimi’s a little nervous about it, being her first kidnapping she says. Shawn rationalizes it’s not a kidnapping as Claire belongs with them. Belle won’t do it until she says goodbye to John and rushes out of the car. She tells John what’s going on and now in tears, says goodbye…asking him to wake up so he can tell Mom what’s happening. She gets up to leave and Marlena is standing there, asking why she’s telling her father goodbye. Belle tells Marlena what they’re going to do and Marlena tries to talk her out of it. Belle explains Philip is getting Claire immunized to take her out of the country and it’s her last chance. Marlena says okay and they’ll help them. Hug, Kiss. Shawn walks in and learns Marlena knows and she tells him to take good care of her girls and Belle confirms she knows. He and Belle leave.Later Shawn gets a call from Mimi saying that Philip and Claire just arrived. Shawn tells her to have Max keep the car running and after hanging up, tells Belle this is it as he slips into the mens room to hide. Philip rounds the corner carrying Claire, asking Belle why she’s there. She tells him to see her father as he’s not doing well. He’s sorry to hear that, saying John’s one of the best as little Claire says mommy (her real life mom must be off stage, too cute). He says Claire might be sick and she asks if she has a fever, then asks to hold her. He finally lets her and she coos to Claire, saying how she’s got her in her arms and calls SHAWN…who rushes from the mens room and tackles Philip yelling for Belle to run. He punches Philip’s newly transplanted face a few times. Philip puts up a pretty good attempt considering he’s been hospitalized for so long and only one leg, but Shawn rushes away saying Claire’s his daughter and to stay the hell away from her and runs to join Belle. He gets in the car waiting at the front door saying Philip’s right behind him and Philip dashes out the door as the car sits there (was Shawn fastening his seat belt first, LOL?) long enough for Philip to pound on the top of the car demanding they give her back (yeah, like THAT’S going to make them do it). Race car driver Max Brady floors it and away they zoom.
THE PUB
Chelsea whines to Kate about how Sami’s done all thes
e bad things but still gets an award. Kate calls the brat ungrateful as she’s had two families who loved her. Kate tells her to face Bo and Hope have their own family and to get over it. Chelsea tells her to apologize and she doesn’t as Chelsea said believe it or not, she was lonely growing up. All she ever wanted was a large family to sit around and talk with and be with on holidays. Kate argues breeding dilutes the gene pool as they look at Sami laughing across the room as she talks to a couple of gals. Chelsea tells Kate she knows Kate really hates Sami and it’s tearing her up to see Sami get this award.Bo and Hope worry about how Shawn is dealing with losing Claire. Kayla arrives and Bo is surprised she’s there. He explains he thought she would be with Steve. Kayla tells him that Steve left that morning for the assignment Bo gave him, but doesn’t understand why Bo would think she’d go along with him. Kayla gets justifiably angry to learn where Steve is and that Bo sent him to face a killer alone. He tells her about Steve freaking out at CPS and promised he wouldn’t tell if he saw a shrink. Steve “fumed and snorted”, but agreed to do so. He steps away to try and call Steve on his cell.
Roman walks in and loudly announces Salem’s Woman of the Year (which year?), and proud to say she’s his daughter..as Sami and family walk in to applause. Sami looks a little embarrassed by it all. Chelsea talks to Sami privately, asking how after all she’s done in her life, she gets an award. Sami enlightens her that this family stands by their own, no matter how much you annoy them, they encourage you to do the right thing and show them you’ve got the right stuff. She encourages Chelsea to show them she does too. Chelsea thanks her for the pep talk and for helping her and Billie get the apartment down the hall.
Marlena walks in and Sami excuses herself to go hug her mom. After Sami asks how John’s doing, they hug and Marlena tells Sami how proud she is of her and suggests she go mingle. Sami agrees, saying they’ll catch up later. Kayla, Bo and Hope ask Marlena if she’s heard from Belle and she tells them yes and it’s too late to stop them now. Puzzled, they ask from what? She tells them and Bo tries to call Shawn, saying they have to stop them as Marlena refuses, saying they’re doing the right thing.
Kate tells Will that Sami couldn’t have saved Lucas by herself. Will tells Kate to stop trashing his mom or she’ll lose both him and his dad if she continues doing so.
Roman presents Sami with her award and she thanks him and everyone for giving her a second, third and fourth chance. She especially thanks Lucas for giving her the strength to do what she had to do to save his life. He also saved her life too because she doesn’t know how she’d live without him. He gets up and hugs her and Marlena does too. Marlena returns to talk to Bo and when he says Shawn and Belle are breaking the law, Marlena tells him that Philip h ad a passport in Claire’s name and was getting her inoculations. He and Victor were planning on taking Claire to Europe, they had no choice. Hope tells Bo they’re doing exactly what he would do in their place.
Kate bites the bullet and tells Sami that she saved her son’s life and wants to start fresh, extending her hand (with two nails painted and two not) to shake. Sami looks around and completes the handshake.
An angry Philip arrives at the pub screaming that Belle and Shawn kidnapped his daughter and anyone in the room who helped him is going to pay. Cue deer in the headlights expressions on the faces in the group as the previews roll….
STEVE (to Kayla and Bo).look what I found in the dude’s wallet. It’s his travel visa. If he wants to replace it, he’ll have to come back to the old US of A.
PHILIP to MIMI: Belle and Shawn started this war, but I’m finishing it and I’m not taking any prisoners.
BELLE to SHAWN (as she holds Claire): Do you really think that we’re never going to be safe?
LEXIE to TEK: What are you talking about?
TEK: Let’s go together, let’s run away.
As the credits roll…

The EE for Friday will be posted just a bit later this morning. Episode #: 10487
Tape Date: 12/14/06
Air Date: 01/18/07
Director: Herb Stein
Summary: Roman is looking for help with the case against EJ…Steve has a bad episode and calls on Bo for help…Stephanie urges Kayla to have another baby…EJ contacts and frightens Sami, who in turn, tries to keep the truth from Lucas.
At the Pub…Bo and Roman are there as Roman tells him how busy he is right now, being that Abe is on medical leave and he being the acting Police Commissioner. He asks Bo if he would like to take a trip to Mexico to help him get EJ. Stephanie and Kayla arrive. It seems that her flight was delayed so they decided to come back to the pub for another round of good-byes. Kayla thinks maybe it is a sign that she should stay, but Stephanie’s mind is made up and asks Roman and Bo to help her out. Stephanie has an idea, so she orders 2 sundaes for her and Kayla. After they take a table, Bo tells Roman that he can’t go to Mexico…between the fact that he has a new baby and all the troubles Shawn is going through, he can’t leave. Bo doesn’t understand the problem, with Lexie being a credible witness, he says it should be in the bag. But Roman says that he has doubts about Lexie’s story and thinks there is something wrong with the whole scenario.
Stephanie and Kayla enjoy their ice cream as Stephanie suggests that maybe Kayla and Steve have another baby…so they can experience being parents together this time. Kayla says that Steve couldn’t handle it right now and Stephanie asks if there is something wrong with him that they aren’t telling her. Kayla assures her that he is okay and Stephanie talks about how she saw (at Christmas) how great he is with kids and just wishes he could experience being a father. She talks about how one Christmas, she stayed up to see Santa and snuck downstairs only to see her mom trying to put her bike together. She says she went back upstairs and prayed that Santa would bring back her dad…and that has been her prayer every Christmas since. And this year, it came true. She says that is the only way she can leave now…knowing that Kayla and Steve are reunited and that her mom will be okay. Later, Stephanie reminds her that it was supposed to be a 2-hour delay…and time is up, so they head back to the airport. Stephanie brings up the baby issue again, saying it could really help her dad…and could be just what he needs.
At Sami’s Apartment…she and Lucas are kissing and she steps on his foot, with him asking her to be gentle with him. They head over to the sofa and start kissing again. He talks about how she saved him and about her award, but she doesn’t want to talk about that. They have trouble getting comfortable (with his cast) so they decide to try the bed. He goes on ahead as the phone rings and she picks it up, asking who it is and make it quick (yea, sure…we ALL answer the phone that way don’t we?) EJ’s voice says he prefers it NICE and SLOW. Sami asks WHAT does he want and he says he can’t get her off his mind. She does NOT want to talk to him, saying she did what she had to save Lucas’s life. She blasts him for shooting John and tells him to just tell her what he wants. He tells her that the Salem PD has people sniffing around and asks if she knows anything. She is terrified and says she knows nothing and don’t want any trouble from him. She tells him to never call again and she doesn’t want to hear his slimy, disgusting voice and hangs up. Lucas has walked up behind her and asks who she was talking to. She makes up a story about it being some guy she talked to about being a racing sponsor. She tries to change the subject, but Lucas presses her about it and asks if she is keeping secrets again. He promises that nothing that happened will change how he feels about her so she finally comes clean and tells him it was EJ. He asks what he wanted and she says she doesn’t know and thinks he was just angry with her because he found out she helped set him up. She gets upset and Lucas calms her down. He encourages her to call her dad but she says she doesn’t want to. She tells him that they are getting so close…Will is proud of her…she fears that EJ is just trying to ruin what they have worked so hard for. Later, Roman is there questioning her about her conversation with EJ. She says she can’t remember what he said and is frightened. They promise her that she will be safe, they will protect her. After Roman leaves, Lucas says he is so proud of her for telling the truth. But she tells him she is just afraid everything is going to fall apart on her. He tells her to believe in herself and concentrate on their future. She says she would do anything for him, so Lucas has a request. They start kissing as he hugs her and tells her he loves her…his NEW Sami. Cue worried look on her face.
A Bunch of Pointless Stuff with Chelsea and Nick…Chelsea complains to Abby that she has not heard back from her Lonely Splicer and can’t understand why. Abby asks if it could be because she is so obnoxious and rude? Chelse is composing her latest message to him and tells him that she knows his real name and is bound to learn more…like where he lives and works, and asks him to please respond to her. We see Nick at his computer reading it, ready to come clean. He types that she is smart and knew she would figure it out. She hears the incoming message and rushes to her computer to respond, telling him she has missed him. He asks how she tracked him down and she says it was some loser that has a thing for her. He is highly offended blasts back that the real loser is HER and tells her that she needs to learn to treat people with more respect or she will not have any friends and then he signs off. She is angry and upset, asking Abby WHAT did she say that offended him? Abby tries to calm her down and chastises her for being so rude and harsh to people without thinking. Chelsea gets this look on her face and tells Abby she has given her an idea and that she is brilliant. Nick’s boss (Dr. Rebert…the one in the photo he sent Chelsea) walks in asking what he is up to. He sees the picture of Chelsea and figures out that Nick is hung up on her. He offers to help him out. Nick fills him in and tells him that he has been IM’ing her but has been lying about himself and even sent her a picture of someone else. Dr. Rebert advises him to just tell her the truth…OR just break it off with her and come in as the shoulder to cry on. Chelsea returns to the computer and composes a new message about being so nice and sweet, saying that is what she will be for him if that is what he wants.
At the Salem Inn…Steve is writhing around on the floor holding his head as we see flashbacks of him being tortured and shocked. In real time, he is shouting “I’ll Kill you” as he flails around on the floor in pain. He starts destroying the room, tossing chairs and things round until he finally collapses. He comes to, calling out for Kayla. He crawls to the phone and calls someone, telling them he needs help. Well, it’s Bo that shows up, as Steve tells him he needs to talk to him about what happened the other day (at child services). Bo thinks he needs to see a shrink but Steve says he doesn’t want anyone in his head…he is tired of the past and wants to live in the present and move to the future. He tells Bo he needs something to do and wants a job with the Salem PD. He pleads his case, saying he has the experience, having worked with them before, but Bo is concerned about the way he lost it at Child Protective Services office. Bo says that they can’t give him a badge and gun and turn him loose on the streets. Bo says he knows he is a good man, but something is going on with him. Steve pleads for him to help him…he OWES him (as he points to his eye). Bo says they dealt with that long ago, but Steve chuckles, saying guilt is forever. Bo tells him he maybe can help…Roman is looking for someone to head to Mexico to check on EJ and make him nervous. Steve is ready to go, but Bo is afraid he may have one of his ‘episodes’ and end up in a Mexican jail. He has one condition…Steve must take Kayla along to keep him out of trouble. Steve don’t like the sound of that, but finally gives in to Bo’s condition and promises that he is only going there to talk to EJ and make him nervous. Bo sees a picture of Steve and Kayla with a broken glass (it got broken during his fit) and asks what happened. Steve lies, saying that housekeeping knocked it over and broke it. After Bo leaves, he runs his finger over the glass, cutting his finger. A drop of blood falls on the picture…as the previews show…
Steve (to EJ): Someone helped you pass through the police roadblocks…at least you can tell me who that was…
Chelsea (to Sami): Well, do you have any advice for the “pain-in-the-butt” in training? (Sami): Well, Chelsea, don’t miss the opportunity when it comes your way to prove who you really are…
Hope (to Bo and Marlena): We’ve got to try and stop them before it’s too late…(Marlena): We’re not going to try and stop them…Shawn and Belle are doing the right thing…
Shawn (as he beats the crap out of Philip): Claire is MY daughter…NOT yours…and stay the hell away from her…
And the credits roll…

Episode #10,486
Taped 12/12/06
Director - Herb Stein
Stephanie says goodbye to family, while Mimi & Max learn of Philip’s travel plans, and figure a way to help Shawn & Belle.
A weary Belle comes out of John’s room, just as Shawn arrives. He tells her he had just gone for a drive, no where in particular. She cries about her dad, and then Claire. Shawn assures her they are going to take Claire back, then tells her about going to see Willow, finding out she lied, and that Victor paid her $10,000 to do so. He informs her about how Mimi found the passport for Claire, and that before Victor & Philip can take Claire away, they are going to take her first. Belle is hesitant, but both think Victor also paid off the judge. He gets a call from Kayla, puts her off, and then they leave to go see Mimi.As he sits there alone, Maggie comes along with a cupcake containing a lit candle. It is to celebrate the birth of his doodlebug. (even typing that seems awful, lol). She tells him people forget about the new dads, and he should make a wish. Bo proceeds to wish John had never gone to that warehouse to meet EJ, that Chelsea did not have so many issues, that Zack was a first grader now……all things he wishes he could change from the past. He blows out the candle. Maggie talks to him, trying to give him encouragement.
Kayla gets a call from Shawn who needs a favor, and wants her to call the hospital. She agrees, and will call him back, which she does. Kayla & Stephanie say a final goodbye and leave the Pub.
orothy managed to get into the castle against all odds and even tho it was locked. Max suggests they call a Scarecrow and TinMan who might help. LOLOLHe talks about how Victor will have tons of guards, and mentions how just two of his goons managed to kidnap the two of them, and lock them up. Mimi beats herself up over having kept the secret of Claire’s parentage for so long. As they talk, they realize that Victor & Philip would be long gone by now, so something must be holding them back. Something that could not be taken care of today. Mimi figures out it must be immunization shots. Belle & Shawn arrive and Mimi fills them in on what they have learned. Belle says Claire has had all her shots, but would need one to travel. They figure Victor would be taking Belle to the hospital, to a doctor who has never seen her before. They ponder how to find out, and Shawn remembers his Aunt Kayla, giving her a call. He asks her to call the hospital, and find out where Claire may have an appt. tomorrow. No questions, please. Kayla agrees, and calls him back, saying Philip made an appt for Claire at 1 p.m. with Dr. Tomlin.
Belle, Shawn, Max & Mimi order pizza, as they make plans to take Claire back tomorrow, at 1 p.m. And the previews show………
Roman: Feel like making a trip? Bo: Something tells me this is not a vacation. Where? Roman: Mexico City
Sami…laughing as she answers the phone: Make it quick.
EJ: I prefer it nice and slow myself.
Chelsea: Oh my God, Abby, he just signed off. I don’t get it. What did I say that was so wrong? (lol, Chelsea, honey, you rarely say anything RIGHT. )
Stephanie to Kayla: Is something wrong with dad? (they are at the Pub, so that is rather puzzling!)
Steve to Bo: Please don’t say no. Help me!

EPISODE: 10,485
DIRECTED BY: Jim Baffico
TAPE DATE: 12/12/06
Kate visits both Lucas and Philip (welcome back to Jay Kenneth Johnson); Sami visits John and tells him how she really feels; Willow toys with Shawn but Maggie gets the last laugh; Mimi visits Philip and gives Shawn the heads up on what she learned.
HOSPITAL
Kate arrives to find Lucas dressed and ready to be discharged from the hospital. She offers to take him home with her, but he tells her that he’s going home with Sami. She asks where Sami is then and he tells her, with her mom and John in ICU. She tries to convince him how much her children mean to her and that’s why she does what she does. She tells him how Philip has gotten Claire now and that she helped. She wonders how Sami, a woman maybe weighing 100 lbs, lifted that heavy beam. Lucas was unconscious and didn’t know what had happened. Although Kate’s grateful, she knows Sami must have had help. Lucas asks where this person is and would want some of the glory. Kate rationalizes EJ shot John that night and helped save him because it was the only way Sami would help him escape. (Lucas does a f
unny impersonation of EJ and his English accent saying, of course my love..etc. in reply) Lucas knows Kate hates Sami and tells her she’s wrong this time. He’s not Philip (rich), or Austin. He doesn’t need his mother like they do. She can either accept the fact that he and Sami are together or stay out of their lives (and Will’s) forever. (how many times have we heard that and she worms her way back in every time?) Kate changes her tune (supposedly) saying he and Will are too valuable to lose and promises never to bring it up again. Sami bursts in anxious to take him home and Kate tells her she’s grateful for what she did to save Lucas. She apologizes and says Sami’s been a Godsend to them, to take good care of Lucas and leaves. Sami asks Lucas who was that nice lady? Lucas smiles, thinking he turned Kate around. Outside the door Kate tells herself…that little tramp is lying and I’m going to prove it, before walking away. Sami offers to try and make it work with Kate if Kate is willing. He says his mom just offered to try too. (c’mon Lucas…how many times have you heard that before?) She leaves to take him home for lunch.
MARLENA shows the headline about Sami saving Lucas to comatose John just as Sami arrives. Sami’s worried about Marlena’s tired appearance. She explains the worry about John and Belle and Shawn’s losing Claire. Sami didn’t know anything about that and wants to call, but Marlena tells her what’s going on. Sami gives Marlena the positive thinking speech and bets $5 the first thing John says when he wakes is Hey Pretty Lady. Nearly in tears, Sami tells Marlena she knows how good John is and she wished she had told him before and that she loved him. Marlena smiles and tells her to tell him now. Sami tells John how she was a brat and knew he loved her and still does. He always stood by her when everyone else turned away and was as much a father to her as her own dad. Breaking down she apologizes for not telling him this before and how much it meant to her. She tells him she loves him and holds his hand. Marlena hugs her and says she knows John loves her just like she does and proud of her. Sami tells her how Daddy arranged for her to get the Good Samaritan Award at the pub. Marlena will be there when it happens and Sami leaves to get Lucas and take him home. She asks Marlena for some change so she can buy her own copy of the paper as Will bought them out. An old Italian coin is in her purse and she tells Sami she got it in Italy with John. Sami offers to stay, but Marlena shoos her to be with Lucas.Marlena talks to John, urging him to return to her. She reminds him about the promise they made at the fountain. She puts the coin on the bedside table next to the phone and promises she’ll never give up on John., he’s her life. The camera pans back to the table and the coin is gone.
KIRIAKIS MANOR
We find Philip still in dress uniform, but with bandages removed (and my, his face is perfectly smooth and shaven too) holding Claire (who’s got that stupid band wrapped around her head again). He tells her about how her picture was in his pocket at all times, even when he was wounded and she’s what saved him. They’ll never be apart again. Ding Dong..company. It’s Mimi, coming to tell him what he’s doing is wrong and he knows it. Claire babbles cutely as Mimi tells him about how Victor and Kate had her and Max hidden away. Philip isn’t sympathetic and she tells him he’s turned ice cold. He calls her Meems which gives her a little encouragement, but she tells him if this is the way she treats his friends, she hates to see how he treats his enemies. She goes to leave and Philip follows her into the hall (where’s Claire?). He apologizes and says he was angry when he reenlisted, but once he got overseas, he knew how much Claire meant to him and vowed to get her back while in the burn unit. He chastises Mimi for keeping the truth about his paternity until ground zero to try and save her ridiculous marriage and she’s as much the fault in this. Mimi knows she was wrong, but admits her mistake. She accidentally knocks over his bag and Claire’s passport falls out. He doesn’t deny taking Claire out of the country when she accuses him of it and tells her to leave or he’ll have her arrested for trespassing. He leaves to put Claire down for a nap. Kate arrives and calls out to him. He calls down he’s putting Claire down for a nap and she sees his itinerary to take Claire out of the country. She figures he’ll have Claire forever, just wait 3 months. Philip isn’t sure about that and says it’s all arranged he’ll have a nanny for Claire. They didn’t tell Kate so she wouldn’t have to deal with the police. She can’t handle losing another son, but he promises to return when he knows he won’t lose Claire. He wants her to visit them as much as she wants. They go upstairs to watch Claire sleep. (he sure is moving and looking good after being wheeled around in a wheelchair and bandaged earlier, LOL)
CHEZ ROUGESHAWN visits Willow at Chez Rouge and asks how she could do that to him. She tells him there are 10,000 reasons, which is what old man Kiriakis paid her and that’s better than doing someone down on the docks. She tells him he’s the one who ruined her family, not her. He calls her a whore and starts to leave, but she calls him back. She tells him she’ll help him get his daughter back and return the money if he does one thing….kiss her. If asks if this is a sick joke. She offers to go to the DA and tell him she lied and leans forward, then laughs saying …see how easy it is to push him around. Maggie arrives when she hears their raised voices and Shawn tells her about the $10K Victor paid Willow and to tell Maggie. Willow says she doesn’t have to report to him and Maggie interrupts saying but SHE is her boss and does to her. Willow says she was subpoenaed and testified for Victor, but denies taking a bribe. Shawn says she showed him the cash and stuffed it in her shirt. Willow tells Maggie that was her savings and she’s changing banks. Maggie threatens to fire Willow, and Willow warns her to think otherwise. Maggie retorts she’s sacking Willow for incompetence and insubordination, then walks away, as does Shawn. Outside Shawn sinks to a crouch, asking how could he lose his daughter? Mimi goes to Chez Rouge and runs into Shawn outside. They update each other about Willow’s lying and he wishes he had taken Claire like he had thought, but he played by the rules. She tells him Philip’s planning on taking off with Claire, she saw Claire’s passport. Shawn decides enough of fighting fair. He and Belle are going to do what he had originally thought. They’re going to get Claire disappear with her….as the previews roll…
BO TO KAYLA: “Victor and Philip are up to something and I have to figure out what it is.”
KAYLA: “What can I do to help?”
We see a crying Stephanie kissing her dad goodbye and leaving…
MIMI to MAX: “You’re a genius.”
MAX: “I am?”
MIMI: “Yes, you just figured out a way for us to get to Claire.”
SHAWN to BELLE: “You and Claire are my life and I’m going to fight for you with everything I’ve got.”

Episode #: 10484
Tape Date: 12/11/06
Air Date: 01/15/07
Director: Roger Inman
Summary: Abby is still encouraging Nick to come clean with Chelsea and Sami learns she is being given an award by the Salem PD. But most of today’s show takes place at the courthouse with the custody hearing. It also marks the return of Jay Kenneth Johnson in the role of Philip Kiriakis.
At the Garage…
Abby and Nick are talking about Chelsea. He wants to forget all about the good doctor “Shane Patton” and is sure that Chelsea will kill him when she finds out the truth. Abby says she would kill him as well if she found out that he slept with her mother. He just wishes he had never told Abby and wishes she would forget about it. Abby tells him to just make up some story so Chelsea will forget about the doctor. Stephanie arrives with her news about leaving town and they congratulate her. Then Chelsea shows up with good news…telling them that she is moving as well. Nick asks if she is leaving Salem too and she says no, just away from the wretched Lockharts. Stephanie jumps her for being so ungrateful as Chelsea asks WHO got her panties in a twist. Stephanie tells her she has been wanting to tell her for a long time what she thinks of her and she thinks that Chelsea’s life will ALWAYS suck, until she is able to make changes. She calls her selfish and disrespectful and how she never misses a chance to hurt someone or make fun of them…she is a spoiled angry brat. Chelsea claims that hurt her feelings and suggests they throw a going away party for Stephanie and invite all her friends…oh, that’s right…she doesn’t HAVE any. (ouch) Stephanie just smiles and says she is SO glad she is not her. She says her goodbyes to Nick and Abby,
telling them to come and visit her anytime, and leaves. After she is gone, Abby asks Chelsea about her internet boyfriend and she tells them that he is no longer answering her emails or IM’s…but she has a way to get his attention. She goes on to explain that she is going to tell him that she knows his real name and is going to track him down like a hound dog. They try to discourage her from becoming a stalker, but she won’t listen. She wants a favor from Abby…to convince Max to give her a part time job at the garage. Abby assures her that he won’t do it. She will ask but for Chelsea to not hold her breath. Chelsea rubs salt in the wound and tells Abby that she knows Max thinks of her as his “little sister” and he will listen to her. She leaves to go home and help her mom pack. After she leaves, Abby wishes she could just smack her and tells Nick to tell her the truth ASAP.
At the Hospital…Sami, Lucas and Will are laughing and horsing around in the hallway as Kate snarls (clearly jealous of Sami’s new-found happiness…what a bitter hag!) Sami assures her that is what REAL families do…have fun. They get Lucas back to his room as Kate chastises them. Will shows Kate the paper with Sami’s picture on the front page as she huffs. Roman arrives (calling Sami a hero) and has a surprise for her…one that may change what the people of Salem think of her. He hands her a letter and she reads it to discover that the Salem PD is giving her a civilian citation…the “Good Samaritan Award” and that there will be a big award ceremony. Lucas reminds her that she owes him for making her a star. Lucas and Will are so proud of her. Kate drags Roman out into the hallway, angry with him. She claims that she got to work this morning and the doors were locked and she couldn’t get in. He explains that the FBI put a freeze on all EJ’s assets, including Mythic Communications. She reminds him that it is HER business as well and complains that she is being punished for his crimes. Meanwhile, Will is going to the gift shop to buy papers for the rest of the family. (On a side note here, good improvisation on Ali Sweeney’s part as Christopher (Will) stumbles going out. She covers it nicely and laughs, saying he gets THAT from her, lol. I am sure that was NOT in the script). After he is gone, they talk about how proud Will is of her and Lucas says she will always be #1 on HIS list. Sami talks about turning her life around and how this is the happiest day of her life, but she doesn’t deserve all this attention. Lucas says it’s her chance to start over with a clean slate. She laughs and says now she knows he is going to tell her not to blow it. In the hall, Kate is still ranting at Roman but he basically tells her that is what she gets for getting involved with a criminal like EJ. He tells her to go tell a judge…his hands are tied…as Kate storms off. Later, Will and Roman are back with Sami in Lucas’ room. The doctor comes and tells Lucas that he is being released and to take it easy. After he leaves, Lucas tells Sami that he is a lucky guy. Roman tells Sami that the award ceremony will be tomorrow at the police station, but she asks him if they can do it with family at the pub. She wants to impress everyone…she has let them all down so many times in the past…this time she wants them to all be proud of her for a change. Roman hugs her and assures her that HE sure is.
At the Courthouse…There is a replay of Philip being rolled past the shocked faces of Bo, Hope, Marlena, Max and Mimi. Max is upset that Victor knew the truth about Philip all along and hid him from them. Marlena worries what other surprises lay in store for them. Philip is sworn in and begins to unwrap the bandages covering his face. Belle stands up and declares that is NOT Philip. Outside, Max and Mimi wonder how Philip could do this. Marlena wishes she could be inside to be with Belle. Beverly arrives with Claire as Bo, Hope and Marlena beg her to spend some time with her, but she refuses. Inside, Philip says “It’s me, Belle” and turns around for the reveal of the face of Jay Kenneth Johnson (the previous Philip). Shawn joins in with Belle, saying that is not him and the judge demands an explanation. Victor goes on to explain about the accident and Philip’s surgery and has his medical history as well as DNA tests proving who he is. Philip speaks and talks about serving his country and how he wants Claire back. In the hall, Marlena and Bo double-team Beverly, with her asking if Victor paid her off. Bo tries another tactic and begs her to give them a break and let them say goodbye to Claire. Inside, Philip claims that emotionally and legally, he is Claire’s father and has even been spending time with her over the past few months. Belle is furious, saying Victor never told them that Philip was there. He says the he and Victor will provide a loving home for her and have resources far beyond Shawn and Belle. Their lawyer interjects, saying that Shawn and Belle’s families are also well off and that is not the issue here. Shawn tells Philip that they don’t need his or Victor’s help. Shawn and Belle accuse him of abandoning Claire but he says he had no choice…Belle left and took Claire and told him that the marriage was over. Shawn says that he admires Philip for being a war hero, but that has nothing to do with it either. Victor claims that he offered them a compromise but they refused. They are all arguing and yelling now and the judge tells them he has heard enough and will have a decision shortly. Philip tells Shawn and Belle that he is sorry, he never wanted it to come to this. Shawn promises that if he loses his daughter, Philip will regret this day for the rest of his life. In the hall, Max and Mimi are still worrying about Belle and Shawn as she says everything is just out of sync. She starts talking about the skeleton again and how it freaks her out. Max tells her that his offer stands and she is welcome at his place as long as she wants. Marlena tries to explain to Beverly that they just want to spend a little time with their grand daughter but she stands firm. So Bo just walks over and takes her away from Beverly. She storms off to get a bailiff and have them arrested…as Bo, Hope and Marlena all make a huge fuss over her and pass her around.
Inside, the judge has returned and promises that he is going to try and be fair to all parties. Belle and Shawn are to attend parenting classes…but in the meantime, he is granting temporary custody to Philip. They are to meet back in 90 days for his final ruling. Belle and Shawn are begging them not to take their baby and the judge tells them that they will have weekly supervised visits and that is all he wants to hear about it…as Shawn attacks Philip. Kate is now in the hallway as well as Mimi asks her if she came there to gloat. Max accuses her of helping Victor kidnap him and Mimi, but she claims innocence and says that they are full of conspiracy theories…and that they will have to prove it. Bo, Hope and Marlena hear the commotion in the courtroom as Beverly comes back with a bailiff ordering him to arrest Bo. He recognizes Bo and refuses as Marlena hands Claire over to Beverly. Shawn comes bursting out of the courtroom, announcing that they have taken Claire away from them and they can’t see her for 3 months. Marlena rushes in to comfort Belle. Victor and Philip come out as Bo has to restrain Shawn. Philip tells them he is sorry it had to be
this way, but he is not leaving without his daughter. Beverley hands Claire over to him as Shawn tells Claire she was stolen by a couple of thieves. Belle is falling to pieces as Marlena tries to comfort her, telling her it is not over and they will use every resource and do whatever possible to get her back…do not give up. Kate joins Victor and Philip and they all leave together with Claire. Bo warns Shawn not to go after Philip, it will be a mistake. Shawn swears he isn’t, but he has someone else he needs to talk to. He tells Belle not to worry…it’s not over. Marlena says she is taking Belle home as Mimi tells Max that she is going to talk to Philip and will see him later. As Kate, Victor, Philip and Claire leave, Victor says that he will see that Shawn and Belle will NEVER get Claire back…as Shawn listens…and the previews show…Kate (to Lucas): Now, I can help you too…(Lucas): What?...you are going to help me leave Salem?...(Kate): No, I can help you leave Sami…
Willow (to Shawn): I’ll make you a deal…I’ll come clean and help you get your daughter back…I’ll even give up the 10 Grand…but you have to do something for me… (Shawn): What?...(Willow): Kiss me…
Philip (to Mimi): No one was a dirtier fighter than you, Meems…so if this is anyone’s judgement day…it’s YOURS…
And the credits roll…

Lightning speed court dates in Salem as Belle and Shawn are in front of the judge and their witnesses arriving (everyone dressed very somber in black!); Bonnie and Connor return home with the bones. I missed the first part of the show, but my tape starts where Hope is asking Marlena something and Marlena replies..I don’t know. (I have filled in a couple of things from the beginning.....Barb)
COURTROOMOutside in the hall, Belle & Shawn are pacing, awaiting the start of the hearing, as Bo & Hope arrive to support them. Then Marlena arrives, surprising Belle, who had not informed Marlena, but she says the "mom network" let her know. Hope admits it was her. Victor arrives, and all are not happy with him. Bo asks to speak with him privately, and then asks why he is doing this. Victors goes on about Claire's welfare, and then says something about always stepping up for his son. Bo replies that HE is also Victor's son, so how come he never stepped up for him. They return, the hearing is going to begin, so Victor, Belle & Shawn go into the courtroom.
Hope & Marlena talk about John. Marlena says she saw a specialist in deep brain trauma this morning. The specialist agrees with Dr. Tucker, there is no hope for John, and also recommended a long term care facility. Marlena cannot bring herself to do this. Hope tells her that she knows John better than anyone, so what does she think John would want her to do if he could be there. Marlena replies "I don't know"
The judge asks Victor for his statement and he says he’s there as a concerned father, grandfather and great grandfather. He loves his grandson and considers Belle a member of the family, but he and his son are more concerned for his great granddaughter Claire’s welfare. He has enough evidence to prove their life is in too much disarray to raise a daughter and the judge is more interested in facts, than Victor’s opinion. Victor cites how Shawn drove his car through his home and a couple of years ago drove his motorcycle through the window at St. Lukes, endangering people, saying they’re dealing with anger management problems here. Until recently he was living with a prostitute or in the back of a garage and then sunk his father’s boat where he was living, saying he was out of a job and even shacked up at the YWCA for a while. Belle is a wonderful person, but has no job and is living with her parents. When asked if her parents are a stable influence, Victor replies had that been the case, he wouldn’t have been there. However, her mother has a history of mental unstability and her father was shot recently in a police sting operation and is in a coma. One that he isn’t expected to recover from. Belle and Shawn’s face react to this dialog (both wearing black suits). The last straw was his son’s reason for filing for custody and says how Belle was inattentive to Belle at a diner and Claire “wandered off”. The judge asks why Shawn’s name isn’t even on the birth certificate or filed for paternity and sushes Shawn when he tries to talk, saying he’ll have his turn. Victor sums it up, saying Philip and Claire love each other and he wants to give her the stable home she deserves.
Lawyer Dan speaks up for Belle and Shawn. He says the charges were out of context and many family and friends have offered to testify on their behalf. He lists off their names (1/2 of Salem) and the judge first wants Belle and Shawn’s comment on the charges.
Shawn says he admits to what was said, but he has stepped up to the plate and gotten his life in order. For Claire’s best interest he had even offered to let Philip and Belle raise her, but then Philip abandoned her. Claire needed a father and since then he has been there for her and doing what’s best for her. The judge asks what he’s done and he says he’s gotten his mechanic job back for one. He moved back in with his parents to try and save enough money for the 3 of them to get their own place. He wants to give her the type of home he had growing up and asks the judge to give them that chance. He says Belle is an incredible mother and she, like him, would give their life for their daughter. The judge asks Belle if she’d like to add anything. Belle tells the judge how Victor never told them the truth about Claire’s paternity all this time…and about Philip’s wherabouts. He never told them Philip was back in Salem. In tears she tells the judge how she and Shawn have been there and loved their daughter. She begs the judge to let their daughter come home with them. She mentions Philip’s absence again. The judge sways toward Belle and Shawn, so Victor brings up how the criminal element is involved, citing Patrick and EJ Well’s involvement with the Brady and Black families. Victor has a witness and Willow is brought in and sworn in. She testifies that Shawn was working for EJ Wells getting cash under the table for his own needs, like a new car. Belle pops up, saying Shawn only wanted money for his daughter and is told to sit down. Willow continues and Shawn pops up, saying she can’t be trusted and even set fire to his apartment. She’s only saying what she is to get revenge for being dumped. Victor cites how it’s another time Claire’s life could have been endangered. The judge has heard enough and thanks Willow before excusing her. She solemnly says she only did so to help the little girl as she doesn’t want her to turn out like her. She glares at Shawn on the way out.
Outside Hope and Bo worry about how it’s going inside. Willow had strolled up all dressed proper with hair up and in a black suit before going into the courtroom. Bo asks why she’s there and Willow asks why would she? After testifying above, Willow says she only testified to what their son deserved on the way out. Marlena arrives, concerned about what’s happening. Bo tells her that Victor is speaking on Philip’s behalf and the judge won’t award custody to someone not there.
THE MORGUE
Apparently the morgue attendant called Salem PD about what happened and Abe and Lexie are there. Joel explains about the missing skeleton, and then tells about the young teen boy he thinks was intentionally distracting him with his story of a relative who died. Abe is going to send the police sketch artist to get the person distracting the attendant’s description on paper. Lexie thinks it’s a high school prank, but Abe fears it was the killer.
LOCKHART HOMEBonnie orders Conner to get the bones out of the trunk (she should have buried them on the way home). He carries the bag in and she tells him to hide them behind the boiler. Conner takes the opportunity to barter for a motorcycle and she agrees, anxious for him to hide the bones before anyone walks in. Abe knocks on the door saying he needs to talk with her. Abe and Lexie walk in. Conner pretends to be listening to his music at the table. They say they’re looking for Mimi and when they learn she’s not there, Bonnie hurries them off…raising Abe and Lexie’s curiousity. Later Conner arrives in western hat and jacket after doing surveillance of the block to see no one is watching them. She tells him Mimi doesn’t know about Mr. Bo Jangles and won’t.. She sends him to the basement with the bones saying they’ll bury them later.
M
AX AND MIMIMax is all dressed in a suit and tie, and wakes a sleeping Mimi with a couple of lattes. He got single and double, not knowing which she wanted. He already has been to courthouse to sign up as character witnesses, which upsets Mimi, as she wanted to go, too. They chatter on and on (meanwhile, the hearing is already going on, so much for wanting to get there on time) They both say how much they care for each other and he asks her to move in. Mimi says they need to move slow. She goes to change for court, and returns dressed in black top and slacks. Knock knock..it’s Abe and Lexie. He tells them the skeleton they found went missing from the morgue, probably who knew how it got there took it. Without forensic evidence, they don’t know how old the skeleton was. The morgue attendant is giving them a description now. He asks Mimi for help with the ring and she’s drawing a blank. They have to get somewhere so the Carvers leave.
BACK AT THE COURTROOM
When Lawyer Dan argues that Philip isn’t even there, how can the judge award him custody, Victor says he is. We see Philip in dress uniform, carrying his hat, with face all bandaged as he’s wheeled into the courtroom. Bo, Hope, Marlena, Mimi and Max watch as he’s wheeled past them and Bo whispers to Hope “this is not good”. Victor introduces Philip to the judge as my son, Philip Kiriakis (surprised he didn’t use his military ranking being he was in uniform)…as the previews roll…
NICK TO ABBY: I’m going to take your advice Abby. The next time Chelsea writes to Dr. Shane Patten, I’m ending it.
MARLENA (hugging a crying Belle): Don’t you dare give up. We’ll get Claire back.
BO TO SHAWN: If you go after Philip, you’ll be making a big mistake.
LUCAS TO SAMI: You wanted a second chance baby, you got one now.
SAMI: This is the part where you really want to tell me not to blow it…as they kiss…
And the credits roll..

Summary: Belle believes that John is reaching out to her, but her hopes are dashed by the doctor…Marlena also feels that John is trying to reach her, leaving Roman to think she is losing it…Bonnie and Conner make a withdrawal from the morgue…and Max and Mimi put off having sex for the moment. NOTE to those who are looking for a new movie poster parody...I had to rush out this morning...I will post one tomorrow!
At Max’s Place…Max and Mimi arrive and she is impressed that he cleaned up the place for her, with him saying that he cares for her. They get comfy on the sofa and start kissing. He asks her how she feels and she thinks that they feel good together. Before long, they are horizontal and he suggests they move it to the bedroom. They are on their way when Shawn arrives. Max tells him not now, he and Mimi are busy, but Shawn is just there for a favor. He tells them the story of Claire being taken away and Mimi says it’s her fault. But Shawn says no, it’s his own fault, because he made bad decisions and now Belle and Claire are the ones who are paying for it. He asks them to come to court and sign petitions as character witnesses for them and they assure him that they will be there. After he leaves, Mimi says she feels responsible because she knew that Claire was Shawn’s for a long time and never told him. But Max assures her that it isn’t her fault and she needs to forgive herself. Before long, they are back kissing on the sofa again and Mimi puts a stop to it, saying she can’t get Belle and Shawn off her mind. Max says it’s okay if they don’t. She says she can’t believe how he is with her, after everyone told her he was such a player. He says he used to be, but she has changed him. They decide to go to bed (not together) as he offers her the bed and he will take the sofa. They argue over it and he tells her she is stubborn. She ends up with the sofa, thanking him for letting her crash there. They say their goodnights (and start kissing again). He tells her she had better get on that sofa and cover up before he attacks her, as he turns off the lights and heads to his bedroom.
Bonnie and Connor…Are at the morgue as she instructs him as to what to do…he is to distract the attendant as she sneaks in to get the bones. He isn’t too keen on this idea, but she assures him that he is her son and running a con is in his blood. She tells him to get the attendant away for 5 minutes. His story is that his aunt died and his mom wanted him to come by and see if the funeral home had picked up the body. Connor gives him a fake name and he has no one by that name, but he explains she just died today. The attendant goes to check somewhere else as Bonnie slips inside. She sneaks around opening the compartments but then realizes he would NOT be refrigerated. She finds the bones on a table, but as she is getting ready to go, Connor warns her that someone is coming. It is another attendant, who goes inside. Bonnie is lying on a table with a sheet over her as the attendant notices the red shoes sticking out from under the sheet. She goes over and pulls them off, tickling Bonnie’s feet…as her leg flies straight up. The attendant says to herself “OK...rigor mortis” and scurries off. After she is gone, Bonne grabs up the bag of bones and says “come on handsome” and takes off. The first attendant comes back, telling Connor that he looked everywhere for his aunt but couldn’t find her. Connor says maybe she didn’t die after all…hallelujah! We next see a barefoot Bonnie outside in the snow, lugging the bones. She tosses them down, telling Connor to put them in her trunk. He is freaking out, but she tells him that she has done all the thinking so far…now he can come up with something (calling him Einstein). He reminds her that he is only 17 and didn’t even finish high school…he doesn’t know what to do. She orders him to dump the bones in her trunk and she will figure out something. He picks up the bag, saying she makes juvy-ranch look easy.
At the Hospital…Belle is by John’s bedside, talking about Claire and breaks down, begging him to wake up, telling him what is going on. She pleads with him to come back to them (as we see his finger moving). She talks about how he would help them and asks for a sign as he touches her hand. She is excited and calls out for the doctor, saying her dad is waking up and he touches her hand again. Later the doctor is with her as she explains what happened, but the doctor says it was only an involuntary muscle spasm. It’s not possible that he is waking up. But Belle is sure he is fighting to come back to them and goes to call her mom. The doctor talks her out of it, saying there is an explanation, so she demands that he explain. She doesn’t accept his theory and thinks that maybe she and her mom need to find another doctor. The doctor says that if a miracle happens, then that is great, but what if that miracle never comes…if he could fix him, he would. After he leaves, Belle returns to her dad’s bedside. Shawn comes in and asks how she is doing. She tells him what happened and what the doctor told her. But she is sure that he was reacting to her and trying to reach out. She talks about when they were young and how they couldn’t wait to grow up…and look now what they have to look forward to…to watch a good man die…as evil wins, like Victor. She complains about losing Claire but Shawn assures her that when Victor stands up there, he will be alone…they will have lots of friends and family supporting them. Belle feels bad for her mom and wanted to tell her about John, but didn’t want her to be disappointed. She looks at a picture of Claire and cries. She wishes her dad were there…he would be able to help them.
At the Penthouse…Roman is there with Marlena and she is still not going to give up on John. She says she understands that John is in a coma but also knows that he is in there and that he understands everything that is going on around him. Roman asks if John has tried to talk to her or anything. She says no and he thinks that maybe the doctors are right. She talks about not wanting to put him in a long-term facility and that she just can’t do it. She says she needs someone to talk to. He asks her if she is talking about a therapist and she says no…she needs HIM (Roman). This makes Roman uncomfortable and she says to just forget it then. She asks if he thinks she is crazy and he finally says that maybe she IS right and they hug. They sit and she tries to explain her feelings about all of it. Roman thinks that maybe she is having trouble finding closure, but she says she can’t accept that she has lost John. She asks what if she can help him…what if he needs more help than she is able to give? Roman says she needs to forgive herself and do what is best for John. She asks what if she is right and he IS trying to reach her. Roman says then, he will. Roman says that Marlena and John have what a lot of people envy…even him. He says that she and John make love look easy. She goes on about how John loved living every moment and now she can’t accept that it’s over. She will NOT give up on John. Roman thinks that she needs help but and she feels that everyone is watching her to see if she will fall apart. Roman tells her she feels things that others miss and he will be there for her night and day and will be a good friend to her as she has always been to him. She finally accepts his help and he convinces her to get some rest. He helps her to the sofa and covers her up and goes to put away the food she didn’t eat. Almost asleep, she mumbles “John”. As she sleeps the curtains begin to blow and the doors to the terrace blow open, with the wind knocking over a vase and breaking it. She wakes up and hears his voice calling her name. She runs out onto the terrace, saying she’s coming and that she can feel him. She asks where is he going and cries for him not to leave her. Roman rushes out and thinks she is going to jump and grabs her, telling her it is all a dream. But she is sure that John was there. She says she felt him. Roman tries to convince her it was a dream and tells her he thought she was following that dream over the balcony. He informs her he is staying the night, but she assures him that she is okay. He tells her to make sure the doors are locked. She notices the broken vase on the floor and is sure that it wasn’t a dream. The curtains begin to blow again and she goes back to the terrace, telling John to give her a sign…as she stares off into the night…and the previews show…
Abe (banging on Bonnie’s door): Bonnie…it’s Abe Carver…I need to talk to you…(Bonnie, to Connor): It’s the cops…the COPS!...
Max (to Mimi): What’s with the people in this town?...can’t they just let us have sex?...
Judge: What do you say to that Mr. Kiriakis…Is your son well enough to address the court?...(Victor): Your honor, I give you my son…Mr. Philip Kiriakis…(as he is wheeled into the courtroom)…
Belle (crying): Please don’t take my daughter away…
And the credits roll…

Episode#10,481Tape date - 12/6/06
Director - Phil Sogard
Billie confesses her misdeeds to Bo, Stephanie has news for her parents, Lexie is still hesitant about identifying John’s shooter, and Steve has another of his “episodes”.
t John. He leaves, and Roman comes out to have her look at some pictures. She has to make a call first. He goes back in his office, and she calls Tek for reassurance that EJ is the shooter. Tek tells her yes, definitely, reminding her that SHE is the one who made him leave and decided on this course, only to keep Abe from knowing they were in the vicinity of each other. She keeps him on the phone, puts it in her purse, and goes into Roman’s office. They look at pictures, but she is still hesitant, and wants 5 minutes alone “to clear her head”. Roman leaves the office, she pulls the phone out and again wants assurance from a frustrated Tek. They argue a bit, but he assures her that it definitely was EJ. Roman returns, and she says positively that EJ was the shooter. Roman wants to know what changed. Lexie stumbles over excuses, and leaves the room, but Roman is suspicious. Tek calls her, and she tells him she pointed the finger at EJ, and is not happy about it. Tek reminds her that he would have gladly done it. Now Abe comes in, she tells him what she did, they tell each other they love one another, and she leaves. Roman comes out, wanting to talk to Abe.
Bo meets Billie at the Pub, per her request. She tells him about finding an apartment for her & Chelsea, tho does not say where it is. Then she tells him how she did not handle the news from Steve very well, and when she got his letter, she drank a bottle of wine. Bo is sorry, and she talks about all those years of sobriety, and then doing something like that. He asks if she took a drink today, and she says no, but she wanted to. He tells her to come with him…….they are going to an AA meeting, which starts in a few minutes. Later, they return, and Billie says she feels much better after the meeting. Now she tells him there was more, and mentions the one night stand with the much younger guy. - legal age, but still a kid. She should not have done it, was wrong of her. Bo tries to make her feel better, but she really feels bad. So now he tells her a story of his own. About how he was 15 yrs old, big blizzard, and he was out shoveling walks for folks to make a buck. On his way home, he sees this woman, struggling to clear her own driveway. She had 3 small kids, and her husband had been killed in Nam, so he offered to shovel her out for free. Afterwards, she invited him in for cider and donuts, they were the only ones there. They sat at the kitchen table and talked, as she told how lonely life was for her. She rubbed his aching shoulders……one thing led to another. Billie says, oh, my gosh, she seduced you. And you have been traumatized ever since. Bo smiles, and says, no, he felt on top of the world, not traumatized at all. Billie is surprised, but Bo tells her the lady met a nice guy, and got married again about 6 months later. He assures her that her young guy is probably feeling the same way, and is not traumatized either. Probably feels like quite the man now.At a table, Stephanie is happy her parents were able to come to dinner, as she has some exciting news. She waits til dessert, and then tries to make them guess.
Kayla says that she is glowing, has a sparkle in her eye, she must be pregnant! Steve about has a fit, but Stephanie laughs, and no, she is not. She got a job with a new racing team and is moving to Dayton. She will start in the pit crew, and will be racing again before long. Kayla is not happy about Stef racing again, but knows it is what makes her happy. Steve gives his blessing, too, saying he will miss her, but promising that he & Kayla will be flying to Dayton to see her often. She hugs them both, and then leaves to meet some friends. Steve & Kayla talk about Stephanie, and not telling her about these episodes Steve is having. He goes to get them both a couple of brandies. At the bar, Nick is working on the Santa for Maggie, and Steve stands next to him. Suddenly, Nick laughs with glee, as he has gotten it to work. We hear Jingle Bells playing, and then banging. Steve goes into an episode, grabbing the Santa and smashing it on the bar. Nick is shocked, and wants to know what the heck Steve is doing. Steve comes out of it, apologizes, and takes the drinks back to Kayla, not telling her what happened. She knows something is wrong, he is sweating. She tells him they can work through anything together, and he can trust her. Steve says, Always. And the previews show….
MIMI TO MAX: You care about me, is that what you are saying?
BONNIE TO CONNOR: Don’t worry, you are my son - running a con is in your blood
ROMAN TO MARLENA: I’m staying here, I’m not leaving tonight
BELLE TO JOHN: Give me a sign, anything, so I know you can hear me. John moves his little finger, touching Belle’s hand.

Episode: 10,480Directed by: Roger Inman
Tape Date: 12/5/2006
Nothing exciting..our Salemites are just getting up to date with each other as Bo’s new calm demeanor gets Steve off the hook; Belle and Shawn meet their lawyer Dan; people meet NoName Brady at the pub (including her sister); Abby finds out about Nick and Billie (she should really join the force); and Shawn has a back up plan in case Victor wins in court.
AT THE GARAGE
Nick tells Chelsea she’s bossed him around for the last time and he’s out of there and leaves. Abby asks Chelsea what she’s ever done for Nick when Chelsea can’t understand why he did that. Abby privately tells Nick she thinks he did a good job with Chelsea, but although he agrees with Abby he deserves a girl that’s nice to him, he’s still in love with Chelsea. He knows there’s a deeper Chelsea then she knows and she’s his destiny. Abby tells Nick that Chelsea has to get to know the REAL Nick Fallon. He agrees and says Nick Fallon, studly scientist, will take over where the now gone Dr. Shane Patten was. He remembers promising to help Maggie take down Christmas decorations and leaves. Chelsea steps out asking where bad boy Nick Fallon is and Abby tells her to stop messing with him like that. Chelsea tells Abby about coming home to find her mom had been with a guy and even found his belt under the couch. She leaves to go to the pub as Abby grosses out that Nick may have been with Chelsea’s mom, remembering that Nick didn’t have his belt.
We find Chelsea freshening her lipstick when Billie calls to tell her she has a surprise for her at the pub. Chelsea tells Billie her “surprises” aren’t that great, unless she won the lottery or something..but Billie tells the brat to just meet her at the pub ASAP and hangs up.
SHAWN and BELLE are at the pub, worried about Victor taking their daughter away. He promises not to let that happen. A lawyer “Dan” is delivered to their table by Hope and Kayla, saying Frankie recommended him. Hope can’t believe Victor’s doing this, knowing they’d never deny Belle’s access to Philip. They discuss the overall picture as to how Victor knew about Belle’s true biological father, but played them. Shawn explains that Victor has things on him (citing how he drove the car in his house and Willow), but he’s changed and they just want their daughter. They ask what they need to do. Shawn tells him he’s moved in with his folks and gotten his old job back. Dan said that’s good, but Belle has to change too. Victor has proof that she’s a neglectful mother. She’s still is married to Philip legally and brings up the time Claire was taken from the diner. Belle says that Victor was there that day and even told her she was a good mother. Shawn isn’t happy when Dan says Victor’s got the upper hand right now and demands he start working for their defense. Shawn gets irate and refuses to sit and listen to Belle being calling a bad mother. Belle calms him down. Dan questions if Philip will show up at court and they figure Victor will pull out all the stops and bring Philip back in bandages from fighting for their country. Dan suggests they come to court as loving, rational parents and leaves.
Hope and Kayla talk softly as NoName Brady sleeps peacefully (isn’t there a law about not releasing a baby from the hospital nameless?) When the subject about more children for Kayla and Steve comes up, Kayla is worried about Steve and these new attacks he’s having. Steve just wants to dismiss them, but she knows they need to diagnose what’s happening.
AT the CPS OFFICE, Bo has to wrestle Steve to the wall after he tore apart the CPS office to
prevent him from attacking the women. Steve freaks out, then calms down, asking Bo not to touch him as Beverly calls for the police. Steve returns to normal and apologizes to Beverly for what he did. Bo goes to take him out in the hallway when Beverly tells him they can’t go anywhere, the police are on the way. Bo identifies himself as Detective Brady (guess he’s back on the force) and he and Steve sit in the hall to talk things over. Bo warns him to talk fast before the cops come to take him away. Steve explains how this first “episode” happened the night he and Kayla dined with Benji (reminding Bo he’s the kid he and Kayla took in on their honeymoon and turned out to be Stefano’s son) and his wife Sonja. He explains the metal banging sound he gets in his head and this time he saw bright lights..but doesn’t know why it’s happening. (seems the devil tarot card might be worth telling BO about Steve!) An officer arrives and Beverly tells him she wants the one with the eye patch arrested for trespass and assault.
A calm Bo intervenes and explains to Beverly that his friend just got his memory back after a long time and having a hard time. He clarified that Steve hit her desk, not her and was just trying to help by asking to see Claire. He promises to get Steve out of there and he won’t bother her again. Beverly said it’s the second time he’s interfered (hey, the first time made her job easier) and he better not do it again. Bo tells the officer he’ll take care of the paperwork and Steve thanks him. Bo just wants to get to the bottom of Steve’s problem. He asks if anything like this has ever happened with Kayla and Steve denies it, saying he’d never hurt Kayla. Steve asks Bo not to tell Kayla about this and he only agrees if Steve gets some appointment with a shrink as he’s looking out for Kayla’s best interest. Steve denies he’d ever hurt Kayla, but Bo reminds him only if he’s in his right mind and needs help. Bo isn’t happy about Steve’s keeping this from Kayla, but says if he ever hears about something like this happening again, all bets are off. (why are they still outside the CPS office…as soon as the charges were dropped, they should have left the building!!!) Steve just wants to see that look of trust in him that Kayla use to have.CHEZ ROUGE
Nick arrives and Maggie asks him to look at a wind up Santa Claus that Mickey gave her that doesn’t work. He agrees and she questions if he’s got woman problems and he doesn’t deny it. Abby arrives and tells Nick that Chelsea told him her mother had a one night stand with a stranger the night before. He doesn’t think that’s their business, but Abby continues on how the guy left his belt behind. Nick turns and Abby knows it was him by the expression on his face.
B
ACK AT THE PUBBillie walks in and is surprised to see Hope and NoName there. She asks Kayla how she and Steve are and wondering if this will ever seem less awkward, tells Kayla she got Steve’s letter. Kayla is glad, saying Steve meant it from his heart. Billie tells Kayla she’s glad she and Steve are back together and means it. She goes over to coo over NoName as Hope watches a little nervously. Billie asks for the baby’s name and Hope admits to not having one yet and asks if she’s got any ideas. Hope says they call her Doodlebug and Billie says she likes the name Eileen from an old movie she saw, but Kayla and Hope diss that. Doodlebug cries and Kayla asks Billie if she’d like to hold her. She accepts quickly and does so. Kayla thanks Billie for encouraging her to be with Steve. Billie jokes…men…can’t live with them and you can’t kill them.
Chelsea arrives and sees Billie holding the baby. She asks if Billie adopted and Billie gives her the look. She says she’s Bo and Hope’s baby. Chelsea clarifies Hope’s and Patrick’s, but Billie corrects her, saying she’s BO and Hope’s. Chelsea smiles, knowing she has a baby sister and asks to hold her. Billie stands to hand the baby over to Chelsea when Hope arrives and takes NoName, smiling nicely and saying hi to Chelsea, then asking the baby if she’s ready to eat. Kayla tries to assure Chelsea that Hope didn’t know. Billie tells Chelsea her surprise. She rented an apartment for just the two of them which brings the smile back to Chelsea’s face. She tells her that it’s down the hall from Lucas, Will and uh, Sami.
Before returning (above) Hope gives Belle and Shawn a pep talk about how the family will be there for them in court and they won’t lose their daughter. Shawn tells her if they try to take Claire from them, he and Belle will disappear with Claire where they won’t be found.
Bo and Steve return and Bo sits at the table while Kayla is concerned about Steve and he says Claire’s in foster care (gee, hope the foster family knows about Claire’s anti rejection medicine she needs to take). Kayla says Stephanie has some news and wants to have dinner with them, so they go to leave. Hope senses something’s wrong and Bo says it’s not good.Bo joins Belle and Shawn, saying Hope filled him in on what he said about taking off. He tells them Claire’s with a nice foster family and reminds them the judge almost always rules for the mother. They just have to show the judge they’re who Claire needs to be with. He returns to Hope and Shawn softly apologizes to Bo, but tells Belle that Victor’s paid off judges before. If the judge rules for Victor, it’s a big world out there, let’s just see if Victor can find us….as the previews roll….
BILLIE (sad) TO BO: I shouldn’t have involved him in my drama and it was wrong.
ABBY TO NICK: I want you to tell me what happened. I’m your cousin and your friend.
NICK: Okay, it happened, but only once.
LEXIE (on the phone to Tek): I want you to be absolutely sure Tek.
TEK: It was EJ Wells, you can swear to it.
MAX TO MIMI: If you really don’t want to go home tonight, there is a solution. Why don’t you just stay with me?
As the credits roll…

Tape Date: 12/5/06
Air Date: 01/08/07
Director: Albert Alarr
Summary: Bonnie and Mimi pick up Connor at the cop shop…Kate is sick of hearing about Sami the HERO…Billie finds a new place to live…The Bradys rally around Shawn and Belle as Victor pays a visit to the pub…Chelsea pressures Nick to help her…Bo and Steve pay a visit to the Child Protective Services office.
At the Hospital…Kate and Sami are with Lucas as he reads the article in the paper about Sami saving him. Billie arrives calling Sami a hero as well, but Kate is clearly annoyed by all the attention Sami is getting. Billie tells them about Bonnie kicking her out and how she has to look for another place to live. Kate offers to let them stay with her but Billie tries to be tactful in telling her no. Sami chimes in, saying that Billie would rather live in a cardboard box in the park. Billie tells them of Caroline’s offer to let Chelsea stay at the pub. Kate slams the pub, offending Sami. Billie tells Kate thanks, but no thanks…she wants to take care of herself. Sami has an idea and reminds Lucas that his apartment is empty and asks if Billie would be interested…which she definitely is. Everyone thinks it is a good idea…except for Kate, who tells Sami to butt out. Billie isn’t sure she can afford the rent, but Lucas offers to help her out. Billie asks if they are sure about having her as a neighbor and they say yes and encourage her. A huffy Kate tells Billie it’s her decision. She thanks Kate for her offer and then says yes, and rushes off to pack her things up…as Kate turns to Sami and asks if she is happy now? A photographer shows up from the Spectator to take pictures of Sami for another article. Kate asks if there is NO OTHER news to report…they are beating a dead horse here. Sami poses with Lucas as Kate has seen enough and storms off. Later, Sami and Lucas are goofing around (playing nerf basketball) and he almost falls out of the bed. They end up kissing as he calls her his hero. Kate opens the door and sees this and gets a look on her face like she just smelled cauliflower cooking.
At the Cop Shop…
Bonnie and Mimi are there to get Connor. They bring him in as he asks Bonnie for “sugar” and she pops him upside the head. Bonnie tells him is in big trouble and Mimi is going to have to pay the fines. Bonnie starts on him to take his GED and get his high school diploma but he tells her that he is a natural with horses and wants to join the rodeo (LOL as he calls Bonnie “Mama Drama”). Connor says he is like his dad…a working man. Mimi says speaking of dad…where is my Christmas gift? Connor hands her a card and Bonnie get uneasy as she reads it. Mimi goes to pay the fines so they can get out of there. (Connor’s name for Mimi is “moo moo”…and she hates it). As she leaves, Bonnie pops him upside the head again and he asks what did he do now. She reminds him that she brought him home to help protect the family and doesn’t want Mimi to find out the truth. She walks up asking truth about what? She questions them and he claims that Bonnie is just upset that he failed his GED. Mimi promises to help him study and they all head home.
In Chelsea’s room…
Stephanie is with her as she goes on and on about her dream guy…Dr. Shane Patton. Stephanie shames her for the way she is treating Nick and tries to reason with her, saying that the guy may not even be who he claims. But Chelsea says when it comes to guys, she knows what she is doing, so Stephanie should just keep her mouth shut. Stephanie asks why she is so insulting to everyone and they get into a discussion about Max dumping both of them. Chelsea doesn’t want Stephanie’s advice so she decides she has had enough abuse and is going to leave. But Chelsea says she doesn’t care, because she knows she is already under The doctor’s skin…Stephanie chimes in “yea, like ringworm” and leaves. Chelsea rushes to her computer and starts typing up an email to the doctor.
At the Garage…Abby rags on Nick for not telling Chelsea the truth about Lonely Splicer and he tells her he got “distracted” and she calls him chicken. He explains that he told her he found out the doctor’s real name. Abby warns him that Chelsea will find out the truth as he has a flashback of his romp with Billie and gathering his clothes. Abby realizes there is something he isn’t telling her but he keeps avoiding her questions. She asks where his belt is and he tells her not to worry about it and she says he is acting like he is 12. She offers to help him tell Chelsea and he freaks out, saying he will tell her himself and besides, Abby is the same way when it comes to Max. They argue about it as Abby tells him that he will eventually have to tell Chelsea the truth…he can’t stay a virgin forever. He tells her to just drop it. Chelsea shows up calling for Abby as he slams the door shut and tries to hide. Chelsea comes in, telling him not to be such a jerk and pressuring him to tell her more about the doctor…his address…where he works. She keeps pressuring him (calling him “Nicky”) until he snaps and tells her to just stop it…he is tired of being her lapdog and he is not letting her walk all over him anymore. This of course stuns her.

At the Pub…Bo and Hope are there with the baby as Caroline coos over it. Shawn, Belle, Kayla and Steve arrive as an angry Shawn tells them that Claire is gone and Belle cries that they took her baby and she may never see her again. Kayla explains what happened as Bo and Hope are stunned. They explain that Victor is suing them for custody. Bo tells Shawn to stay with Belle and asks Steve to go with him, as Belle continues to fret and cry. Hope and Kayla try to assure Belle that everything will work out okay as Shawn tells her that they will get her back and for her to believe in that. Caroline comes in with the baby (I think she supposedly went to show her to popShawn) as Belle asks if she can hold her. Of course she starts crying about Claire again, telling little no-name-Brady she is safe. Victor comes into the pub as Belle has to hold Shawn back. Caroline yells at him but he says he is there to make peace and compromise. Belle says that Philip has no rights to Claire…he walked out on them. But Victor tells them he would hat to see them lose what access they have now and warns them not to fight her on this. Shawn points out that HE is the father, not Philip and talks about how he and Belle are trying to rebuild their lives and provide a good family for her. Victor reminds him that while Philip was away defending his country, Shawn was shacked up with a prostitute…was working for a criminal…and drove his car through his house…NOT the idea of a stable young man. Belle jumps in saying that every mistake Shawn made was directly because of Victor. Victor says that Claire is HIS family as well but Belle says he doesn’t deserve a family. Kayla suggests that they hear what Victor has to say about his proposal, so Belle tells him to say what he came to say and then get out. He tells them that Philip will settle this if they are willing to sign full parenting rights over to him. Of course she will live with Philip and Victor and they can have visitation rights. Shawn storms over to the door and tells him to shove his offer and get the hell out. Caroline, Kayla and Hope are all stunned as Caroline begs him NOT to do this to her family. She tells Victor she stands by Shawn and this is her property, her pub and for him to get the HELL out f there. After he leaves, Belle mumbles that he doesn’t deserve to live. A guy shows up looking for Belle and Shawn and hands them subpoenas. Belle goes to pieces as Shawn bangs a nearby table.
At the Child Protection Services Office…Bo and Steve arrive to see Beverly, saying she has made a mistake. She explains that they have received reports that Claire’s living environment wasn’t acceptable. Bo tells her he knows that Victor Kiriakis is behind all this and that he is just playing her. She tells them that the court made the decision and that Claire’s parents will have to appear and plead their case. There are foster parents coming to pick her up but Steve and Bo say that is ridiculous as he says he and Hope can keep her until this is resolved. She says no, she would not be protected from her parents if that were the case. Bo says that she needs protection from Victor and accuses her of being on the take. Steve pulls an angry Bo away and takes a turn. He begs her to let Claire stay with family instead of strangers as he explains that Bo is a cop and he knows all about rules. She has heard enough and tells them to get out or she will have them removed. Bo begs to just see Claire for 2 minutes and they will leave. As Steve sits down, a light is shining in his eyes as he begins to have another episode. He has visions of lights being shone in his eyes with a man demanding for him to “say it…you know what you have to do…say it”. Steve is yelling NO. Beverly tells Bo she is through talking…he cannot go anywhere near Clair…not before the hearing. Steve, completely freaks out and rushes over beating on her desk, frightening her as she jumps back against the wall. He is yelling that she let the man see his grand daughter NOW!...as Bo tries to restrain him…and the previews show…
Shawn: All I am hearing is how Victor has everything and we have nothing…Well you tell us what we have to do counselor…tells us what Belle and I have to do to get our daughter back…
Billie (to Chelsea): You haven’t even asked me what the surprise is yet…don’t you want to know?...it’s a good one…Chelsea hugs her and says “Oh thank you SO much”…
Abby (to Nick): Oh My Gosh…it’s true!...you had sex with Chelsea’s mom…
And the credits roll…

EPISODE: 10,478Directed by: Herb Stein
Tape Date: December 4, 2006
Max and Mimi are interrupted; Bonnie evicts Chelsea and Billie; Beverly tells Shawn and Belle she’s got a court order for Claire; Roman tries to help Marlena cope with John’s medical situation. (KUDOS to Martha Madison (Belle) on her performance tomorrow. You could feel her pain in her performance)
THE GARAGE
Things get hot and heavy for Max and Mimi at the garage. He suggests they pause and relocate to a better, more appropriate location…suggesting Mimi’s place. She retorts the garage floor is better than Bonnie’s. She asks about his place, which he refers to as his “crib”, which she questions him about as to how clean it is..pizza boxes around, when he did change sheets last, etc. (is he still living over the Deveraux garage?) They go back into the garage office and she says this place has meaning to them as it’s where they got to know each other and he sweeps the desk contents onto the floor while she peels off her sweater. Just as they get hot and heavy, of course Abby walks in. Max questions why she’s there as he gave her the day off, but she had some things to take care of she says and suggests they put a tie on the door or something next time to avoid embarrassment on both sides. After Mimi’s dressed and walking out, Max tries to talk with Abby as she puts things back on her desk. She tells him to drop it and go find a room with Mimi, she has work to do. Max won’t give up, asking why she’s upset. She finally tells him how she’s saved the business while he and Mimi went to Georgia and froze her butt off on Christmas Eve to rescue them, but hasn’t even gotten a thank you. He can’t believe he didn’t even say it and she confirms it, asking why she should stay in this low rent job? He tells her he’s sorry and won’t take her for granted again, they’re a team. She asks where her Christmas bonus is boss….and he goes over to the file cabinet and pulls out a wrapped package (yeah, right..like she wouldn’t have seen it in there). Abby smiles. She opens it to find it’s a book with Shakespeare’s sonnets which she’s read and loves. He tells her there’s a card in it too and she reads to Abby, friend, confidante and closest thing to a little sister he’s got. She points out she’s a woman, not a little sister and tosses the book back at him and storms out.
THE CHAPEL
In the hospital chapel, Shawn explains to Belle about the mysterious guy taking pictures of Claire with Mimi at the garage and worries the woman from CPS might be a concern. Shawn suspects Grandpa Victor is behind this. Belle takes Claire from Shawn and hugs her tight. Shawn tries to convince them both that they are Claire’s biological parents and Victor can’t take her away from them, but Belle knows Victor only cares about what Victor wants. She suggests Shawn ask Bo being he’s Victor’s son, to talk to him. He agrees. They go to talk with Bo and open the door to find the CPS woman and an officer there, saying she’s there to take Claire. Shawn slams the door in her face as he and Belle panic.
BRADY PUBBonnie is sipping a Bloody Mary at the pub when Billie joins her, per Bonnie’s request. Bonnie explains about Connor’s return to Salem and when Billie asks how she can help, Bonnie asks if she and Chelsea would move out. Billie seems shocked at the suggestion. We learn she’s been faithfully paying rent to Bonnie and Bonnie refers to her as the dream tenant, saying she wants her and Chelsea back in a couple of weeks after Connor’s gone. She suggests Billie and Chelsea move in with Kate or get their own room at the Salem Inn. Billie (who hasn’t worked in how long?) says she can’t do either. Billie mentions moving into Patrick’s room. Bonnie breaks down and Billie caves, saying they’ll figure something out. Bonnie offers to help her pack and Billie says she can handle it and leaves. Bonnie pulls out her celery, stops the fake crying and smiles.
BACK AT SALEM U HOSPITAL….Steve tells Kayla (standing outside John’s windowed room) about John’s condition and how he’s suppose to be unresponsive, but questions John’s response when he was near him again. She thinks it could be as simple as he’s John’s friend. She wants to stop and light a candle for John in the chapel before they go home and he agrees.
Steve and Kayla walk up to find Beverly (the CPS worker) and Officer Santos pounding on the door of the chapel. Once they’re found out what’s going on and Steve examines the court order, he asks for 10 minutes alone with Belle and Shawn as Kayla explains how scared they must be. Beverly grants them five minutes. Shawn lets them in and Steve tells them Victor’s filing for full custody. Kayla tries to comfort Belle.
ELSEWHERE IN THE HOSPITAL, JOHN sits up and calls out to Marlena, crying he needs her. She had dozed off and wakes up to see he’s still in a coma and hugs him, assuring him she’s right there. Roman calls out “Doc” and she cries in his arms, telling him about her dream. Good old softy Roman reminds her of the doctor’s prognosis about John’s brain damage, but Marlena insists John’s heart and her prayers don’t measure into that prognosis and refuses to believe that. He tries to get her to go home and get some rest, but she insists he concentrate on putting the man who did this behind bars for the rest of his miserable life. She can tell by his reaction and he vocalizes that EJ Wells got away. (hmmm…Salem PD is thinning down with one almost blind, one fired, one busy with his new wife and baby and the other lurks in cars and hospitals…can’t imagine how THAT happened, LOL) We return to Roman promising to find EJ when Dr. Tucker joins them, saying the second tests aren’t encouraging. EEG is the same and GSC is 3.7 and no response to stimuli. She mentions his reaction to Steve, but Dr. Tucker says that’s not possible. He apologizes and Marlena says they don’t need his sympa
thy, they need his help and returns to John’s side. Dr. Tucker suggests a specialist in St. Louis to Roman before walking away. Marlena takes John’s hand and assures him she’s not giving up. Roman interrupts again (oh, shut up Roman!) telling her essentially to get a grip. She refuses to put John in a nursing home where they don’t know the man he is and Roman finally realizes just being her friend is what she needs. He convinces her she needs her rest to stay strong and sharp and reluctantly she agrees, hugging John goodbye.BACK IN THE CHAPEL, Kayla tells Belle and Shawn they’ll get a good attorney (uh oh..only Mickey’s left in Salem) and Shawn wisely asks Steve to give him and Belle time to get away. Steve asks, then what? Shawn says he and Belle will drive away. Kayla and Steve admit that running away was what they did while younger and it doesn’t work, plus it’ll give more ammunition to Victor for custody. They have family and friends who love them and recommend they stay there. Beverly pounds on the door again.
BACK AT THE PUB, Mimi is beckoned by Bonnie next and is told it’s about her brother Connor. Mimi asks what he’s done now, saying she knows he’s had problems and been in boot camp for juvenile delinquents. Bonnie calls it a camp for troubled teens, LOL. Bonnie says she sent Connor $$ for a bus ticket home, but he didn’t show (doesn’t Bonnie even visit Alice’s Bar any more and where’s Max the dog?) Mimi says Connor takes after her
and took off with the $$. Bonnie asks Mimi for ideas and Mimi only wishes her family wasn’t such high maintenance. Bonnie fears Connor was mugged in Arizona, but gets a call from the police that he’s been arrested. Mimi rolls her eyes.Billie mozies up to the bar and tells Caroline about her situation, asking if she has any room upstairs. Caroline says no, but Bo’s room is empty with him staying with Hope and the baby. She suggests Billie ask Bo if she and Chelsea can use it. Billie doesn’t think sharing a room with Chelsea is such a great idea, but Caroline says Chelsea can use their spare bedroom, after all, she’s their granddaughter. Billie thanks her and resumes her apartment shopping.
CHAPELShawn nods to Steve to open the door and Beverly storms in. Belle holds tight to Claire and mentions how nice she was to them at Java Café that time and how she said they were good parents. She mentioned having a son and granddaughter in Germany and can she imagine how she would feel? Shawn calls Beverly on being paid by Victor to do this and asks how she can destroy a family. Beverly appears to comtemplate this, but states she works for the county and not for Victor. Belle is frantic and Kayla comforts her, saying to make this as easy as she can for Claire. Belle tells Claire it’s going to be okay and she’s going with her friend and hands her over. Beverly smiles at Claire and glares at Belle as she walks away with her. Belle cries hysterically on Shawn’s shoulder. (hmmm, time to send Caroline to chat with Victor again me thinks)
MARLENA is lying on the bed next to John and tells him she’s going home to rest, but will return to hold him. She wants to know what he was trying to tell her that night. She leaves and after the door closes, his eyes move under closed lids and he softly says..MARLENA….as the previews roll…
SAMI to BILLIE: “I think I know a way you and Chelsea can live alone if you’re interested?”
BILLIE: “Yes”
ABBY to NICK: “You need to stop whining about Chelsea and find a girl who wants you for you. You’re not going to stay a virgin forever, right?”
VICTOR: “I’ll see you all in court.”
BELLE: “That man doesn’t deserve to live, does he?”
STEVE (ranting and furiously pounding on someones desk) as Bo watches helplessly behind him: “She’s his granddaughter!!”
As the credits roll…

Director: Phil Sogard
Summary: Bo and Hope discuss naming the baby (lol at these scenes and Bo's choice)…Kayla and Steve come to visit them as he has another episode…Marlena refuses to give up on John even though the doctors offer little hope…Shawn smoothes things over with Max and Mimi…as he is now convinced that Belle was right and that someone is watching them with Claire.
At the Hospital…While Belle is with Marlena, Shawn and Claire visit Bo, Hope and the baby. Bo and Shawn switch so Bo can hold Claire as Shawn holds the baby, noting that she has Zack’s eyes (we don’t see the baby). Steve and Kayla show up in the hallway, loaded down with gifts and balloons. (Steve even pulls out a harmonica with a pink ribbon on it). They talk about John and Steve decides he will go and check on him first. There is a lady in the lobby with a kid wearing a shirt with a devil on it (saying ‘the devil made me do it’). Steve sees this and begins to freak out again. In the room, Shawn asks about a name as Bo says they are going to call the baby ‘doodlebug’ (lol). Hope laughs and says it could be worse…he could want to call her ‘buttercup’. Shawn says he will leave the naming to them. In the hall, Steve holds his head as Kayla tries to help him. He comes out of it, not knowing what happened. He admits to hearing loud noises, like a banging in his head. She wants him to see a specialist as he protests, but she is determined and goes to find someone. In the room, Hope is mulling through a book of baby names (as Bo still likes doodlebug) and has an idea…maybe they should poll the family for names and let everyone toss their 2 cents in. Bo fears that Ma and Pa will come up with some Celtic name that no one can even pronounce. She says it will be fun, but Bo thinks it will cause a war between the Bradys and Hortons as he laughs.
Kayla returns with Dr. Carlyle (a longtime friend of hers) and low and behold, they can do an MRI right now. Steve isn’t too thrilled with the idea but she insists. He finally caves in and says “ok, Mr. MD…take me to your torture chamber”. After he kisses Kayla, he is on his way, claiming that something may be wrong with his brain…but his lips still work fine.
Kayla goes in to Hope’s room, carrying all the goodies as they coo over the baby and asking Bo if he fainted again during the birth (like he did when Shawn was born). Hope says this time, he was their hero. Hope tells her she is going home today and Kayla offers her help if Hope needs any. Bo asks where Steve is and she explains about the episodes and him going to have an MRI. Bo tells her to stay and catch up with Hope and he will go check on Steve. Kayla and Hope talk about Steve and she says she can’t help but fear that she could lose him all over again. Hope tries to reassure her that all will be okay, but Kayla says she can’t go through that again. She talks about how he has no idea what happened to him during his missing years and she thinks that he is afraid of that himself and doesn’t trust himself. Dr. Carlyle comes by later and tells Kayla that the MRI came out fine and they found nothing, but suggests that he still have a complete physical. Hope notes that is GOOD news, but Kayla is still troubled. Hope thinks maybe he should see a therapist and possibly undergo hypnosis to unlock those memories, but Kayla says Steve would never go for that. Hope says that he would trust Marlena, but Kayla says that Marlena has enough to worry about right now. She decides to go and find Bo and Steve and will see Hope later. On her way out, Kayla asks if they have a name yet. Hope laughs and asks her what she thinks of ‘doodlebug”. Kayla laughs and says…hmmm…I like that (LOL).
At the Garage…Max is cleaning up when Mimi comes by wanting to talk. She is upset over Patrick and the trouble he is in, not knowing what she can do to help. He gives her a shoulder to cry on and offers money, but she declines, saying that’s not why she came there…she just needed to see a friend. He tells her that is more than friendship. Mimi says she needs to go but they end up kissing, when Shawn walks up (holding Claire). They are surprised to see him, but he makes light of it. He says he came by to apologize for being such a jerk to both of them (As he is apologizing, Claire is singing…such a cutie). Mimi and Max both admit to their faults in the whole thing as everyone shares in the blame and all is forgiven. He fills them in on John’s condition and that he and Belle are taking things slowly. Shawn asks what about them as they laugh and say they are taking it slow as well. Mimi takes Claire outside as Shawn and Max talk. Shawn insists that he is okay with Max and Mimi and is happy for them. He humbly asks for his job back as Max is thrilled about it, saying he has already been through 3 mechanics since Shawn left. Outside, Mimi plays with Claire around some old innertubes as she sees some guy taking pictures of them. She yells at him and he takes off running. She yells for Shawn and they rush outside and she tells them as the guy’s car speeds off. Shawn leaves with Claire as Mimi and Max go back inside as he suggest they pick up where they left off. She reminds him that they decided to take it slow and goes to leave. She stops and says what the hell…you only live once and rushes back to him.
Back at the Hospital…Marlena is by John’s side, reminding him of the promise they made to each other in Italy as she begs him to hang on. Belle arrives and they wait on the test results and Marlena tries to be positive. They cry over him as Belle tells him that “Tink” is there, and would so love to hear him call her that again. We learn that Marlena hasn’t even left the hospital since they brought him in. The doctor arrives and tells them that the prognosis isn’t good. He is stable and will recover from the wounds, but the brain was deprived of oxygen for some time and that he isn’t responding to stimuli. He is in a coma and will not likely come out of it. And if he does, there will be brain damage. The doctor offers to help them make arrangements to send him away to a long term care facility, but Marlena will have NO PART of that. She refuses to give up on him and says she will not abandon him without the care he deserves. The doctor tries to convince her there are benefits, but she will not even listen to him, even becoming a bit hostile. She says that if this hospital cannot treat him, she will find another that can…she will NOT give up on him. After the doctor leaves (with his tail tucked firmly between his legs) Marlena tells Belle that they will NOT accept this and will fight for him.
Bo catches up with Steve in the hall way (after his MRI) and he tells Bo that he is sure that it won’t show anything. Bo tells him about talking with Marlena and how she thought Steve triggered something with John. He tells him that John got agitated and said “killer” when Steve was in the room. But Steve doesn’t think it meant anything, and that John was trying to tell them who shot him. They decide to go and see how John is doing.Bo and Steve go to John’s room as Marlena tells them what the doctor said. Steve walks over close to John’s bed and stares at him as his monitors go crazy. Doctors and nurses rush in as Marlena says his heart rate spiked. She connects that he reacted before when Steve was near. The doctor says it is only coincidence, but she feels something is going on and demands another EEG. The doctor says it’s pointless, but she insists. This time she says she is going to be there with him when they do the test and tells Belle she will be okay and for her to go and be with Claire.
Shawn returns to the hospital with Claire and finds Belle in the chapel. They talk about John’s condition and she asks what he and Claire had been doing. He tells her that he thinks her suspicions were correct about the child services lady and he now also believes that someone is investigating them. We then see the lady meeting up with the photographer. He tells her that Mr. Kiriakis is ready to make his move.
Bo and Steve go into the hall and are discussing John’s condition when Steve has another episode. Bo turns and sees him, asking if he is okay. But it has passed and Steve says he is fine. They wheel John out on a gurney as Steve stands near him and tells Marlena he will do whatever he can to help. (As Steve is talking, John is moving his hand, but no one else sees this). He says he hopes the tests will prove the doctors wrong. They wheel John away…freeze frame on Steve…as the previews show…Bonnie (to Billie): What would really be a big help to me right now is for you and Chelsea to find another place to live…(Billie): You are kicking us out?...
Abby (to Max): I am NOT your little sister Max…I am a WOMAN! (as she storms off, leaving Max with a confused look)…
Steve (to Shawn): Victor just filed for full custody… (Shawn): I am not letting anyone take our baby…
Marlena (to John): I’m right here darling…I am right by your side…(John): MARLENA!...
And the credits roll…

Episode #10,476Taped 12/1/06
Director - Roger Inman
Bonnie panics when hearing about the skeleton, & drags Mimi to visit Patrick in jail; Marlena visits Hope & new baby, as Belle spots the woman from the diner at the hospital, & Chelsea gives her mother the 3rd degree about her “visitor”.
Shawn is comforting a worried Belle out in the hall, as they wait for word on John, who is in surgery. She talks of how her parents had just gotten married, and were so happy, and now this. Shawn promises to protect her and Claire, and they hug. Over his shoulder, Belle spots the woman from the diner, who sees her, then quickly grabs a little boy’s hand, scurrying off. Belle tells Shawn, thinking it very odd, but said perhaps that is the woman’s grandson, and decides to go look for her. She takes off, and runs into the woman again, who is very cold and curt. Belle asks if the boy is her grandson, but the woman says, no, she is just taking care of him. A doctor comes out with release papers for the boy, and the woman is obviously trying not to let Belle see what is going on. Her badge falls to the floor, Belle picks it up and returns it, and the woman leaves. Belle returns to Shawn, telling him what happened, and that the woman works for Child Protective Services, & was taking the boy to a foster family. She begins to ponder all the personal questions the woman had asked them, and then wonders if perhaps they were being investigated without their knowledge. Shawn tries to assure her that Claire is healthy, well cared for , has loving parents, so there could not be any reason to do so.
She finds a belt, wants to know whose it is, and laughs off Billie’s answer that is probably belongs to Patrick. Tooo small, says Chelsea. She realizes her mom had company, Billie lets her think it was just someone she picked up, Chelsea thinks her mom is j
ust too cool, and says she is going to take a shower, then come down, make popcorn and Billie can tell her the whole story. She goes to her room, where a panic stricken Nick is hiding under the bed, watching as Chelsea’s under things drop to the floor. When she goes in the bathroom, he scoots out of the room, surprising Billie, who did not know he was still there. She is urging him to leave, when in walks Chelsea. Stutter, stutter, as neither Nick or Billie know what to say. She blathers on, deciding Nick must have found her Lonely Splicer. Nick gulps, says yes, and more stuttering, as he says the guy is on the west coast…..in San…….Francisco, Jose’…San something. Chelsea pesters for a name, and he somehow spits out the name Shane……(Egads, Days writers, there are thousands of men’s names in this world, Days already has a Shane, could you not think of something new? Just like giving us Nick Fallon when you just gave us Nick Stockton). He stutters a bit more, and comes up with the last name of Patton, Shane Patton. A brain surgeon, no less. (Oh, Nick, what a tangled web we weave, when first we practice to deceive). Chelsea insists he find out everything he can, likes, dislikes, even boxers or briefs. LOL.
Evidently now at “County” (jail, I presume) Bonnie & Mimi are in the visitor’s room as Patrick is brought in. He is glad to see them, they talk about getting him an attorney. Patrick has no more money, the police confiscated all he had, calling it “ill gotten gains”, so he asks Bonnie for all the money she took from him. Bonnie is silent, and just has no money. Mimi offers what she has saved from her 2 jobs, saying it could be a down payment. They all know that without a good lawyer, Patrick could be sent away for 20 years or more. Now Bonnie wants Mimi to tell her brother about her adventure in the church basement and the skeleton. Mimi explains a bit, mentioning the guy was a murder victim, and not 150 years old. She speculates that when they get thru with foresnsics they will no more. Bonnie wants to talk to Patrick alone, so Mimi leaves.
She tells Patrick he has to keep his mouth shut, if not for her, then for Mimi. If she ever found out what I have done……Patrick interrupts her, saying there is no reason for him to be questioned about that skeleton at all, and not to panic. But Bonnie persists, asking what is she to do if some smart detective I.D.s those bones, and he is in prison. Patrick say that if that happens, “you are on your own”. Their time is up, and a guard takes him away. Bonnie makes a call….which is obviously to Connor, since she says “This is your mother”. She tells him something has come up, he has to come home right away, and to get his butt on an airplane NOW, or the Lockharts just may be going down in flames.
hat John is out of surgery, and is doing as well as can be expected. He explains that John had 2 bullet wounds, that one went into his chest, causing bleeding in his lungs….which deprived his brain of oxygen for a while. He may have brain damage. He is in a coma now, and the doctor cannot guarantee anything at this point. He is sorry. Hope calls everyone to her bedside, to say a prayer for John. And the previews show……….Max to Mimi: I don't want you to go. They kiss as Shawn, holding Claire, opens the door and see the two of them
Belle: You mean my father may never wake up
Dr. Tucker: The odds are not in his favor. Marlena listens
Steve: You don't believe what Marlena said.....that he was responding to me being in the room, do you?
Bo: Well, he definitely got worked up about something.
Kayla to Hope: I have this fear that someday I'm going to wake up, and he's gonna be gone

Episode #10,475Taped 11/30/06
Director - Roger Inman
Sorry this is so late, but had some other commitments, it's my birthday...... and thus, this will be a rather condensed version. (Actually, not too much was going on, anyway) Nick & Billie discuss his "first time", and go for another, Sami explains to Lucas how she saved him, Kate returns from Canada, Willow jumps Chelsea's bones for taking her job, while Lexie meets Tek and argues over identifying EJ.
rs, etc. etc. In walks Willow, who gives Chelsea a hard time about taking her job. They trade snide remarks until Maggie comes over, telling Chelsea she has food orders waiting. Maggie thought Willow was in jail, but all a mistake, says Willow. Maggie knows better, tells Willow she has a violent streak, and more or less saying you no longer have a job. Willow reminds her that she always was very good on the job, so Maggie finally caves saying she can have her job back tomorrow, IF she trains Chelsea today. So........Willow accompanies Chelsea on her rounds, tho Chelsea is still making mistakes. When she has a huge tray of food, Willow is trying to show her how to hold the tray correctly, and down it goes. Maggie rushes over.....and sorry, Chelsea. You just are not suited for the job. Yep, Chelsea is fired. See Willow smirk. In another corner of the restaurant (I think it is the same place) Lexie furtively comes in to meet Tek in a booth. They spend quite some time arguing over whether Lexie feels she can honestly ID EJ Wells as John's shooter. She wants Tek to look at the lineup (???) and text message her secretly, saying he positively identifies EJ. She does not want to get into trouble with Abe, and feels she cannot say she saw EJ definitely, unless TEK is seeing what she is, and saying so. (Sounds too peculiar and not making any sense to me). Abe calls, saying he will be home soon, as Lexie pretends to be in bed with a book, and waiting for him. She leaves.
m to hang in there, Sami would return, but Kate did not have very nice things to say. Ah, cue Mother Dearest to come waltzing in, fresh from her trip to Canada. Seems she heard about John being shot, rushed back, and a nurse told her about Lucas. She immediately harps on Sami, blaming her for his broken leg, but Lucas tells her to cool it, Sami saved his life, and he would not even be alive if it wasn't for her. Kate rather ungraciously thanks Sami, who tells Kate she really does not want to fight with her any more. She & Lucas are back together, are very happy. Ahhh, Kate's eyebrows go up, she does not like hearing that at all, but she decides to leave.Out in the hall, she runs into Roman, who is surprised she is back home. She curtly says she & Victor are Philip's parents, that is all. She brings up Lucas, and Sami's rescue, with Roman saying how proud he is of her. Kate remarks that it was amazing Sami was able to do all that all by herself. Roman replies that there are stories of people all the time, who got their adrenolin going big time in bad situations, and were able to do super human things to save others. Kate insinuates again that Sami could probably not have done that alone, planting the seeds of doubt in Roman, as she turns on her heel and leaves.
Chelsea (holding a belt she found) "Who does this belong to". Probably Patrick, replies Billie.
Chelsea: Oh, no, too small to be Patrick's.
Shawn to Belle: I'm going to protect you and Claire. Do you understand? If we stick together, no one can hurt us.
Marlena: He just kept repeating killer, I wish I knew what he was trying to say.
Bo: Killer.....that is all he said?
Bonnie to Patrick: If the cops every ID who those bones belong to, you and I are in major trouble
