Summary: Abby gets to know Jed a little better and learns something about his family…Bonnie comes clean with Mimi with the shocking truth…EJ is still playing games with Sami and Lucas…Kayla sets Steve up to be arrested.

At Chez Rouge…
Abby and Jed have their date. Lots of small talk as they get to know each other better and she realizes that he is a pretty nice guy, even calling him a romantic. She talks about how she kind of likes someone else, but he is kind of involved with another girl, and how it’s a big mess. Anyway, like I said, lots of small talk. Willow shows up begging Maggie for her job back. Abby sees them and tells Jed the story of Willow Stark, calling her a prostitute. Jed says maybe he had better re-introduce himself…his name is Jed Stark…Willow’s brother. (Yea, like we didn’t see that one coming a mile away). He defends her (apparently not knowing a thing about her being a hooker) saying she is putting him through college. Willow tells Maggie she is pregnant with Shawn’s baby but Maggie puts her foot down, saying no. Jed walks over asking “Willie” what’s going on. Nick comes in asking Abby what is going on and she says she is watching a train wreck happening. Jed demands the truth from Willow, but she rushes out, with him following. Abby tells Nick it’s official…she is a failure at dating. But Nick tells her he has an idea to help both of them and suggests a double date…him, Chelsea, Abby and Jed. Maggie calls someone on the phone (Hope, I presume) and tells them she needs to talk to them about Willow and the baby she is carrying. Abby tells Nick no, she is a lost cause. He sees that it is something else bothering her and tells her that maybe when it comes to Max, it is time to move on.

Over at the Lockhart Place…
Speaking of Max, he and Mimi arrive back at her mom’s place as she explains that Bonnie is out on bail. Nick shows up with the DNA results on the ring and informs them that the blood traces on the ring were in fact Mimi’s. He leaves as Mimi doesn’t understand and is full of questions, asking what is wrong with her family. Bonnie comes in as Mimi asks her who posted her bail. She explains that she called Victor Kiriakis and he had pity on her…he posted it. Mimi doesn’t believe her…she lies all the time. Mimi tells her that Nick found her blood on the ring as Bonnie tells her to just leave it alone. Mimi demands to know the truth and Bonnie says ok, but you are not going to like it and you will wish you never knew. As she tells Mimi the story, it is shown to us in black and white flashbacks…Mimi’s dad came home drunk and with lipstick all over him. He and Bonnie got into an argument and it turned physical and he started beating her. Mimi came in and tried to stop him, but he back-handed her across the face (that’s where the blood came from on his ring). He continued to choke Bonnie, until Mimi picked up a baseball bat and hit him over the head….SHE killed him. Back in real time, Mimi is crying she couldn’t have killed her dad and refuses to believe it. Bonnie explains she was in a state of shock and the next morning, she didn’t remember any of it. Bonnie and Patrick took care of the body and hid it in the abandoned church and just lead everyone to think he just left town. Bonnie says now she is going to pay by going to jail, she is doing this to protect her. She thinks that maybe Mimi should just leave town…for good. Bonnie tells her to trust her, she is not lying…Mimi acted to protect her, and now she is going to protect Mimi. She is going to take the blame to make up for a lifetime of mistakes. Max tells Mimi that perhaps her mother is right, and that she should just leave. Max says leave or stay, he will support her. Mimi gathers her things and hugs her mom, telling her she loves her. With hugs and tears, they say their goodbyes as Max and Mimi leave, with Bonnie crying her eyes out.

At EJ’s Place…
Lucas pounds on the door as EJ lets him in and he asks why Sami is there. Sami just wants to leave, but Lucas wants to know what is going on, saying he doesn’t trust EJ, and that he is always up to something. He asks why EJ hasn’t moved yet and doesn’t think he plans on moving…but will stay right there so he can torment them. EJ says his accusations are tiresome and he wants some truth time with them. Sami begs Lucas to leave, but EJ stops them. Sami says they aren’t interested in anything he has to say, but EJ reminds them he gave Lucas a job when no one else would…and they owe him. And if they want the truth, he is going to give it to them, as Sami squirms. He tells Lucas that the truth is he does want to be close to Sami, saying he can’t get enough of ‘his girl’. Lucas says if EJ doesn’t move, he is going to take his family and move to another town. EJ finally tells them he will move as Lucas volunteers to help him. Lucas leaves as EJ tells Sami they have a deal, she is to find out what she can from the police or he will tell Lucas that the baby she is carrying could be his. Lucas returns with boxes and tape and gives them to EJ, telling Sami to go with him. In the hallway, she backs him up to the wall and kisses him, calling him amazing. They rush back to their apartment as EJ steps out in the hall and places a call to check on “father”. He tells the other person that when he is conscious, to tell him that he loves him and their plan is proceeding.

At Kayla’s…
Steve returns but says he can’t stay. He asks about John and she tells him he is doing okay but she will probably lose her license over all this and that the police are looking for him. She tries to convince him to turn himself in but he says he is leaving town and needs her help. She tries to persuade him to stay and fight the DiMeras and whatever they did to him. But he says he tried, but can’t win. He begs her for money to help him get away, but she refuses. He goes to leave, but she asks where will he go…the things in his head will go with him. He says she knows what he has to do…she is just putting it of. He asks why she wants to waste her time on him…just put him out with the trash. But she says she loves him. He says that something has happened to him and he isn’t the same, she must give up on him…he is a danger to her and her family. But Kayla says she isn’t letting him go that easily…he will have to kill her first. They cry in each others’ arms as she tries to convince him to let her call Bo and Roman. When he says yes and she goes to call, he rushes to the door…only to be met by 2 cops. He starts crying that she set him up as he struggles with them. Later, he is cuffed and read his rights as he accuses her of betraying him. He says she just signed his death warrant…and this time he won’t be coming back…as they haul him away. FF on Kayla as the previews show…

Willow (to Hope): If something happens to me, like I show up dead, and the autopsy shows that this baby is Shawn’s…your rep as Saint Hope will be gone…

Shawn (to Belle): All Willow Stark ever meant to me was just sex…(Belle): Then how do I know that when you put your hands all over me…that’s it’s not just sex too?...

Kayla: I want the man I love to come home to me…Steve: I am going to die here…knowing that it was you that killed me…

Chelsea pays back Dr. Rebert, Abby agrees to a date with Jed, Shawn forages for food on the island, while EJ blackmails Sami once again. Zzzzzzzzzzzzzz.

Abby arrives at the garage, and has Max mumbling and bumbling a greeting. He is glad to see her, is behind in his work, and is tired of constantly holding Mimi’s hand, repeatedly saying he is sorry her family is a train wreck, but all will be o.k. He tells her about Bonnie killing her husband, how Mimi is so needy now, and he is drained. Abby goes under the car to change the oil, and then in walks Jed. What a co-incidence, it is HIS car on which she is working. Max gets a call from Mimi, and goes in the other room, leaving Jed to small talk with Abby for a while. He asks her out for coffee, she says no, she is sort of seeing someone. They banter a bit about college, classes, study, etc. Max comes out, asking Abby to lock up as he has to go see Mimi. He doesn’t have time to make out Jed’s bill, asks Abby to do it. He leaves, Abby has 2nd thoughts, asks Jed if the coffee offer is still open. Sure it is. She gets in his car and he backs out of the garage. (and just WHO is locking up the garage now. LOL)

At the lab, Nick is trying to get other girls to rat on Dr. Rebert, but they need the money and are afraid. Dr. Rebert comes out, wondering what Nick is doing there on his day off, when in comes Dr. Endo with Chelsea right behind him. She has reported him, but Rebert smoothly insists Chelsea is a pathological liar, and he is sorry he did not pick up on that during the interview. Dr. Endo mentions the intimate dinner, but Rebert insists it was to help Chelsea with her calculus. Nick chimes in, but Rebert brings up how Nick scammed Chelsea with the e-mails and his picture, calling him a stalker. But Dr. Endo knows all about it, Nick has told him. Rebert is still insisting on his innocence, when Nick offers proof. He snapped a pic of Dr. Rebert all over Chelsea in the car, (with his camera phone) just before he yanked him out. Dr. Endo takes Rebert into another office. Chelsea is happy, and thanks Nick. Dr. Endo comes into the lab, with a guard escorting Rebert out…….and informs everyone that Rebert has resigned and senior staff will oversee all experiments for now. He thanks Nick & Chelsea, calling her a colleague, which thrills her. He leaves, & Nick tell her she is just like Norma Rae or Erin Brockovitch. Lightbulb moment as Chelsea realizes that is really a compliment. She wants to make dinner for Nick. However, since this all started because of him, maybe he should make dinner for her. What is his specialty? Toast, he replies. LOL. And then comments that he makes a real mean peanut butter, banana & marshmallow sandwich. (Double LOL.) She decides she will make the dinner.

On the island, it is dark, but Shawn has found some fruit. He & Belle argue a bit over who will test it. Shawn wins and down the hatch. Oops, as within a couple of minutes, he upchucks. He then decides to sample some other fruit, and that stays down o.k. and actually makes him feel better. They figure it will be safe for Claire. He asks how she feels about squirrel, figuring he can fashing a spear from sticks and get them something to eat. I believe he even mentions Survivor, and calls himself Castaway Shawn. (Sorry, Tom Hanks, you are not, Shawn!) Belle nays the squirrel idea, so he mentions rabbits, and she just is not going to eat bunnies. So he asks about fish, and that is o.k. So he promises to try and fashion a net from the leaves, and catch them some fish in the morning. Claire is sleeping, and they decide to hit the hay themselves. They lay down, say goodnight, and suddenly, Shawn kisses Belle, who kisses him back, then pushes him away, all upset. Claire starts to cry. Belle babbles a bit and then makes him leave the shelter.

EJ is in his robe, in his apt. when Sami knocks on the door. He tells her to come in, he has been expecting her. She says Lucas is in the shower, and she wants to know why EJ wants to see Lucas this morning. He says he intends to tell Lucas she slept with another man. And now we have another round of EJ threatening to tell Lucas, of Sami referring to the rape, of EJ claiming it was not, and that he knows she is carrying his child. It is the same conversation, different room. Now EJ wants Sami to find out what the police dept. has on him. She says no, her dad never discusses cases with anyone, but EJ thinks she can wheedle it out of him. He threatens, blackmails again, and Sami wonders why he ever came back from Mexico City. He says it was her that brought him back, etc. etc. Sorry, but this is hard to even watch, let alone listen to. He insists that they have a connection, that no one else interests him, and more along those lines. EJ takes his cell and calls Lucas, threatening to tell him all. Sami finally caves, grabs the phone, disconnects it, and agrees to snoop, but claims it is only for Lucas & Will. There is a knock at the door. EJ wonders if Lucas saw the caller ID on his phone. Perhaps they should answer the door and find out. Freeze frame on Sami's face.
And the previews roll…….

Abby: It’s official, I am a failure at dating. Nick: I think I have an idea. I know a way to turn things around for both of us.

Kayla to Steve: You want to walk out that door? You’re gonna have to kill me first.

EJ to Sami & Lucas: You want the truth, Sunshine? I got it coming to you in spades.

Mimi to Bonnie, with Max looking on: For once in your life, just tell me the truth. Bonnie: O.K. , but you are not gonna like it. In fact, you’re gonna wish you never knew.

To all our faithful readers…One of our partners in crime, Linda, has been dealing with some health problems this month and is unable to assist with the Early Edition. But not to leave you hanging, we ARE posting a very brief synopsis for today and Thursday. Please keep Linda in your thoughts and prayers and she will hopefully be back soon!

Sami and Lucas go out to dinner and EJ shows up to torment her (as usual). After he sends Lucas away to handle some business, he informs Sami that he is aware that she is pregnant and is reasonably sure HE is the father. She stands by her story and insists that Lucas is the father. He isn’t so convinced…and wants a paternity test. After EJ leaves, Sami covers. Once outside, EJ calls Lucas and tells him he wants to meet with him in the morning…man to man.

Steve finally convinces Kayla to operate on John after he explains that she may be his only chance to live…if she doesn’t do it, the HACK will and he doesn’t care if John lives or dies. He also lets her know that many other people may die if they don’t cooperate…which leads her to realize that he means Stephanie. After the surgery, the nurse takes the kidney and leaves, but Steve never tells her who it was for. She finally convinces him to let her call the police and an ambulance. He tells her that he loves her and wanders off.

Philip and Willow arrive at the cop shop and he tells her to get out. She pleads and begs him to not abandon her, but he won’t listen. Inside, Bo and Roman are working on finding John when Philip comes in with a box marked “REMAINS”. He shows them items belonging to Belle, Shawn and Claire, telling them about Claire’s blood on the raft and that they are presumed dead. He will make all the Bradys pay for this! After he leaves, Bo studies a section of the raft that was in the box and decodes the word… “SAFE” …realizes that it’s Shawn’s message to him that they are okay.

Philip goes back to the car to find Willow still hanging around. She pleads and begs with him for help, for the sake of her baby, and threatens to tell everyone it is his, ruining his reputation. He finally gives her a wad ‘o cash and tells her to get lost. She grabs it and leaves, warning him he will pay.

Summary: Nick comes to Chelsea’s rescue, and this time she is grateful…Shawn and Belle struggle on the island…Kayla fills Bo in on what is going on with Steve…Steve learns EJ’s plans for John…then forces Steve to make a tough decision.

On the Island…
Shawn works on the shelter without much luck. He and Belle both worry about Claire, her being cut and most of their food supply wet. His make-shift shelter falls and he gets upset, feeling as he is letting them down. She calms him, reminding that they survived once before on an island (Puerto Rico), but he says it is all his fault and he feels like he is a joke and apologizes for disappointing her. But she says it means everything that he is there. He talks about all the things he has screwed up in the past, but she assures him that they are all safe and Claire is even having fun. He says he only wants to protect them, but Belle says she has to step up as well. They talk about missing family but she says she has him and Claire and that’s all she needs. They work on the shelter together as Claire sleeps. Later, they have a finished lean-to and hope it holds. They will get to test it soon as they hear thunder rumbling in the distance. The 3 of them huddle beneath it as Shawn tells Claire he will take care of her. Belle says they will take care of each other.

Outside Chez Rouge…
Reibert comes on strong with Chelsea, who keeps trying to change the subject and/or put him off. But he is determined they go back to his place where he has a hot tub. (We do learn he has a first name, Alan). She tells him it would be inappropriate, but he has had enough and tells her no more games. He checked her out and knows that she was picked up on prostitution charges once before and that is the main reason he hired. Suddenly, it all becomes too clear for Chelsea and she realizes that she is in over her head. He grabs her, trying to kiss her, when Nick rushes up and yanks him out of the car, ranting at him to never touch her again. They go to leave as Reibert grabs Chelsea and she kicks him in the shin. Nick takes her back home and even offers to make her the “famous Horton cure-all tea” (yes, he calls it that…and says Maggie taught him how to make it). Nick thinks they should call Billie but Chelsea says she doesn’t really want a lecture. She laments that she and her mother have the same bad judgement (and luck) when it comes to men. Chelsea says she was so stupid tonight and Nick apologizes for putting her through all this. She asks why he followed her there and he admits that Reibert was talking trash about her earlier and he felt responsible. She humbly thanks him for saving her and says she is sorry she was so rude to him. She hopes he doesn’t lose his job over this but he is sure that Reibert won’t say anything…he has more to lose than them. He says this was all his fault…he only wanted Chelsea to like him. She says she DOES like him. He asks if she can ever forgive him and she says yes, it was partially his fault…but it was HERS as well. She talks about all the things Shane Patton wrote to her and tells Nick if it doesn’t work out for him as a researcher, he has a career in writing. They laugh, calling each other ‘friend’ and shake on it. Later, he fixes her the tea and asks if she feels better. Yes, but she wishes she didn’t have to go job hunting again tomorrow. Nick encourages her go stay and report Reibert, before he does this to someone else, but she is hesitant, afraid he will lose his job. He says he can always find another job…but never another HER. He promises to back her up. She asks why does he always do this to her. He asks what she means and she says at first he was just Abby’s geeky cousin, then came Shane and she found out it was him all along. He says it was wrong, but the words were true. She leans over and kisses him…then says tomorrow, they take down Reibert.

At the Hospital…
Kayla is with Bo (she says Marlena is upstairs giving her statement) as he investigates John’s disappearance. She is worried and tells Bo she fears that Steve took him. Bo asks her about it and she explains about Steve’s recent behavior and about him trying to choke her. Bo is furious and wants to go find him. She tells him about Steve’s dreams of being tortured and that he thought he was choking EJ. She points out that EJ tried to kill John before and now she believes he is somehow forcing Steve to carry out his dirty work. She talks about the night John was brought to the hospital and looked at Steve and said “killer” as well as Marlena’s strange dreams with John’s warnings, and believes it’s all connected. But Bo isn’t convinced, but she begs him to help her find Steve before he hurts someone. He asks if she is prepared for what will happen…he will have to arrest him and she says she is…it is what Steve wanted. She tells him that she wasn’t, but Marlena convinced her that Steve needs to be committed. So Bo puts out an APB on Steve. Kayla wants him to bring EJ in as well, but Bo says the arrested him once before, but didn’t have the evidence. They don’t have any this time either…he has to be careful with him. He promises, however that he will talk to him and see if he can get anything out of him. Kayla is going back home (the Salem Inn) and wait to see if Steve shows up and leaves. After she is gone, Bo calls EJ and asks him to come to the hospital…he needs to talk to him about John.

At the Warehouse…
Steve is with EJ asking him what the plan is. EJ cracks jokes and tells him that they need one of John’s kidneys. Steve says he is SICK and if they do that, John will die. Steve asks why they want it and EJ tells him it’s none of his business. A doctor shows up as Steve demands to know what’s going on. EJ tells the doctor that the nurse is scrubbed and ready whenever he is. He gets ready for surgery and Steve freaks out trying to stop him but EJ whips out his tarot card and puts Steve under control. Steve talks about how John was a part of that family but got away from them. But EJ says that Steve is one of them now. He begs EJ not to let that doctor hack John up, so EJ tells him if he can find someone else to do it he will consider it. Steve says he doesn’t know anyone and EJ points out that both Marlena and Kayla are doctors. Steve doesn’t like his options but EJ tells him he has 15 minutes to decide or they will operate anyway. As Steve goes to leave, EJ warns him to keep his name out of it as he flashes the card at him and sends Steve on his way. This is when Bo calls EJ…and on his way out, he tells the doctor that if John dies, take the kidney immediately and dispose of his body.

At Kayla’s…
She returns home to find Steve there waiting on her. He asks if she knows where he has been and when asked, he admits to taking John. She says they need to call the police and he says no, if they do…people will die…JOHN will die. He tells her to listen to him and do as he says…he needs her help for John and wants her to go with him…she doesn’t really have a choice. She asks if he is threatening her and he just stares at her. He says please…Sweetness…I need you. Confused and upset, she follows him out the door. They arrive at the warehouse as the doctor is ready to operate. Steve stops him and runs him out of the room. He tells Kayla she is John’s only chance. She asks what he wants her to do and he tells her she has to take out one of John’s kidneys. She stares at him in disbelief…as the previews show…

EJ (to Sami): It’s because you know that this child isn’t Lucas’s…it’s mine (as Lucas walks up)…

Kayla (to Steve): He will not survive here…you need to get on the phone and call an ambulance right now…before it’s too late…

Philip (ranting to Bo and Roman): Because of you, my little girl is dead and I won’t rest until the entire Brady family pays for that…

Summary: Bonnie confesses to killing David Lockhart, but Mimi thinks there is more to her story…Chelsea starts her new job and makes Nick jealous in the process…Willow allows Shawn and Belle make a daring escape, infuriating Philip in the process.

At the Cop Shop…
Bonnie is in with Roman confessing to killing David Lockhart. Roman comes out and informs Mimi, who is shocked. Roman tells her that Bonnie confessed to everything…saying he was drunk, smelling of perfume and they got into a fight and she killed him with the fireplace poker. Mimi asks about Conner and we learn that he has gone back to the juvey ranch. He tells her that Bonnie is going to be processed and booked for murder. Mimi pleads with Roman but he tells her that her mother needs a good lawyer now…his hands are tied. Mimi asks to talk to her as Roman is going to talk with the DA. Mimi tells Max that she had seen her dad drunk before and knew he cheated, but had never seen him lay a hand on Bonnie. Max tells Mimi he has an idea, but it is a longshot. He asks her about the ring and says that if he did hit her mom, there may be some DNA on it. He goes to find the guy who has the ring and have it tested. After he leaves, Mimi goes to see her mom and demands to know the truth. Bonnie tells Mimi she had no choice but Mimi isn’t buying it. She wants to know why she put the Civil War uniform on him and how she built the brick wall…all by herself. But Bonnie says she has always been the queen of odd jobs. Mimi asks WHY did she go on letting her think her dad was alive as she cries. She tells her that Max is working on something to help and explains, but Bonnie says let it go…she did it…she killed him and she will go to prison where she belongs…for Mimi to just drop it. She explains that she stole the ring when she was working at the hospital and gave it to him as a gift…it is a dead end…forget it. Mimi demands the truth but Bonnie tells her she is guilty and she will get what she deserves. Mimi begs her to tell her what she is hiding, is she protecting someone else? Bonnie yells it’s her…no one else. Roman returns as Bonnie tells him to take her and book her and get it over with. Crying, she tells Mimi she loves her…please understand…as Roman takes her away.

Meanwhile at the Hospital…
Nick is working in the lab as Dr. Reibert comes in, startling Max causing him to break something. Nick swears to him it isn’t a problem that Chelsea will be working there but needs to talk to him about something else. The doctor tells him he may be smart when it comes to math and science, but when it comes to women, the is the dumbest guy in the world. He tells Nick to pay attention and he is going to teach him a few tricks when it comes to women. Nick doesn’t want to hear it, saying if any woman heard the things he was saying, she would be offended. Reibert says he was only trying to help, but Nick doesn’t want his help. On his way out, he tells Nick to try and not break anything else. After he leaves, Max comes by, yet again startling Nick (as he drops something else, lol). He gives Nick the ring and explains what is going on and Nick promises to check it out. He (nervously) asks Nick if he has seen or talked to Abby and asks him to tell her ‘hi’ from him.

At the Java Café…
Abby is there working on her laptop when some guy (Jed) comes over and start talking to her (he is a new guy at school) but Abby isn’t really impressed with him. Chelsea comes bustling in complaining about her Calculus class, is rude to Jed and tells him to leave. She tells Abby, yes the guy is cute, as she gives Abby a hard time…as Jed just stares at Abby. Abby points out that Nick could help her with Calculus…in fact, he would dress up in a wig and dress and take the class for her if she asked him to. She reminds Chelsea that Nick owes her and would do anything to make it up to her, but Chelsea says she wants nothing to do with him and keep him as far away as possible…but plans on making him squirm and plans on using her new boss to do just that. (She refers to Reibert as Dr. McBeautiful). She notices the time and says she has to get to work and rushes off. As Abby is getting ready to leave, Jed comes back over and starts talking. He asks her for a ride to the mall and when she sees his friends watching and laughing, she becomes suspicious and informs him that she is involved with someone else. He tells her he wasn’t trying to hit on her, but she says she knows what kind of games guys play…and he can just go back and tell them that he struck out and leaves.

Back at the Hospital…
After Max leaves, Chelsea shows up for her job and rushes over to Dr. Reibert and starts openly flirting, saying she is eager to learn and is sure she will learn so much from him. She talks about her not doing well in calculus and he offers to help her out. He takes her to show her around the hospital as Nick seethes. Later, they return as she continues to flatter him in front of Nick. He asks her out to dinner and she accepts. As they leave, she glances back over her shoulder at Nick.

Back at the Cop Shop…
Max returns as Mimi tells him that she is sure that Bonnie is hiding something and they have to figure it out before it’s too late. She thinks there is more to her story and that perhaps she is protecting someone else. Max thinks she needs to get out of there for a while, so she suggests they go back to his place. He says he has to go to the garage, he has a pile of work waiting on him. She volunteers to go and help, but he tells her no. She says she will go back to his place and wait on him. After she leaves, he calls Abby, leaving her a message, telling her he will be at the garage if she wants to drop by and say hi.

On the Ship…
Belle is a bundle of nerves as Shawn tries to calm her down. Philip is in the hall watching their door when Officer Stratton comes to take Shawn to the brig. Shawn tells Belle they have to keep it together. He thinks he can distract them while she makes a run with it with Claire. And she asks WHERE will she go…they are on a ship? Stratton tells Philip he is there to take Shawn and orders him to his cabin but Philip refuses. As they knock on the door, Shawn tells Belle he has an idea. They go in and Belle tells Stratton that Philip has been harassing them and that Shawn is in the bathroom with Claire. Philip rushes over and knocks the door down and they wee the air vent cover is off, thinking that Shawn took Claire and crawled through. They rush off to find him as Shawn crawls from under the bed with Claire. After they are gone, Shawn and Belle sneak out with Claire and run into Willow. She tells them that Philip is paying her to help him and reaches for the fire alarm. Up on deck, Philip and Stratton are looking for Shawn and find the officer that Shawn attacked and realizes it was a set up and rush back down. Back downstairs, Shawn and Belle plead with Willow to let them go and she laughs saying GOTCHA! She tells them to go…and she will tell Philip they said goodbye, laughing. Philip and Stratton return and search the room, realizing that they are gone. Shawn, Belle and Claire are up on deck as he tells her that there is only one way off…they have to jump. Philip finds Willow, asking if she has seen them and she tells him that they just left and he blows a gasket, railing at her. Stratton tells him he is going up on deck to look for them as Philip tells Willow he will deal with her later. She laughs, saying she can’t wait and returns to her cabin. Belle tells Shawn they can’t jump, Claire could get hurt, but he swears they will be okay, they have no choice. He tosses their things down to the raft and asks Belle if she is ready as he takes Claire. With a deep breath, they jump…as the previews show…

Marlena (to Kayla): I am talking about the person we need to save from Steve…

Nick (to Chelsea): Why would I do that?...(Chelsea): Like all immature world-class losers…you are also a spiteful jerk…

Philip (to Willow): You have nothing I want…(Willow): I have Shawn’s baby…I owe you Philip…and I always pay back my debts…

Shawn (to Belle, on dry land): Belle, where is she?...(Belle): I don’t know…I lost her!!...

Steve leaves Kayla, despite her best efforts to stop him, Shawn figures out a way to escape, while Lucas tries his best to shore up a distraught Sami.(Is this really Sweeps month? Yawwnnnnn)

In their apt., Lucas and Sami kiss as he keeps telling her things are going to be fine, nothing is going to happen, all is well. He shows her a gift he bought for their baby, a little necklace for their baby girl, who is going to know from her lst breath, that Lucas is her daddy. What if it is a boy. Well, he will jazz it up with a football or something. They both proclaim their love for each other a few times, and then knock, knock. Of course it is the eternally pesky neighbor from across the hall, EJ. He has come to offer his congratulations, Kate gave him the good news, and he is so happy for them, yada, yada. He asks for the date, so he can mark his calendar (Oh, puleeze, this is sooooo forced!). Both Sami & Lucas are not saying much, and EJ finally comments that he is talking about their upcoming wedding. It is all Kate can talk about. Sami leaves the room for a minute, as EJ then tells Lucas he has talked to Kate and asked her to lay off. Lucas admits working with his old lady is not something he is happy about. Sami returns, and now EJ is offering Lucas a month off, with pay for the honeymoon, plus his private jet to take them anywhere. Lucas says, no thanks, but EJ is rather insistent. Sami is silent. He finally leaves, grabbing her bag of trash by the door (awful small bag, if you ask me). Sami protests, but EJ says no trouble, he will be glad to take it out. In the hall, he looks into the bag, talking of a treasure hunt to learn Sami’s secrets. (Is this stupid or what?)

Inside, Sami comments that she thought at first EJ was talking about her pregnancy. Lucas wonders why she is so adamant about no one knowing, especially EJ. She says it is not a secret, just something private between two people. Lucas rightly replies that her dad, his mom, Will and Billie all know. And that the way his mom and Billie both yap, it is going to get out. He asks her what the doctor said at her last checkup…..(ahh, so she HAS seen a doctor, GOOD!) and Sami tells him that her blood pressure is a bit high, so they will be keeping an eye on that. And she should avoid stress. Lucas wants to tell everyone, but Sami does not. They argue about it. Lucas agrees to keep mum for now, and they kiss.

On board the ship, Belle is worried about losing Claire, as Shawn repeats his promise that no one will take Claire from them. The ship docks tomorrow at dawn in Australia, so they do not have much time. He had found a raft, and there is a group of islands not far off. (oh, for cryin out loud, are we going back to Temptation Island?) Belle takes Claire (wearing that infernal headband again) to change her, then calls Shawn to tell him there is a loose air vent cover in the bathroom. Shawn checks it out, figures there is enough space for him to crawl thru, and he will be back in an hour. He tells Belle to pack some clothes, food, water and diapers, and leaves. As she is packing, Chief Officer Stratton knocks at the door. She hides the luggage, throws on a robe, turns on the shower, and tells him to come in. He wants to talk to them both, but she explains Shawn is in the shower. He will wait. Finally he tells her of a newpaper article the Canadian authorities faxed to them, accusing Shawn & Belle of being kidnappers. Belle protests, saying she is the child’s mother, and that court order is no good outside the U.S. Stratton tells her he intends to throw Shawn in the brig until they dock. Belle now says she has to personally feed Claire, and needs some privacy. He leaves, promising to return in a few minutes.
Meanwhile, Philip is at the rail, looking out to sea, as Willow saunters out in her brand new dress, fresh from the gaming tables, and bragging how much money she had won from those “mid-life crisis” men who are only too eager to get away from their wives and lose their money to her. Philip tells her to remember the only reason they are on the ship is to get his daughter back. She asks him, and then what. Take her to Belgium among strangers. She will have me, Philip retorts, and I will give her everything she needs. Oh, yeah, she says, and be raised by foreigners. She offers to help him out, and be the nanny. Now they argue, with Willow reminding him she can go to the judge, tell him how Victor paid her 10 grand to lie on the stand, and his court order will disappear. Philip grabs her, and dangles her over the railing, (shades of Michael Jackson!) with her screaming to let her go. He finally puts her back on the deck, she goes back to the tables and he leaves. And just 2 seconds later, out comes Shawn from the vent. He manages somehow to find a ship’s officer uniform, keys to the cabins, and even a child’s life vest. He returns to the cabin, just as Stratton is leaving and hides. He then enters with his key. Belle tells him about Stratton wanting to put him in the brig. They are about ready to leave when they hear Philip in the passageway.

In their room, Kayla is trying to stop Steve packing. Nope, he is going. They argue continually, as Kayla attempts to reason with him. He has to, look at the marks on her neck, DiMera has done something to him, and he has no control over it. He will not put her in danger. She pulls his clothes out of the bag, throwing them around the room, refusing to let him go. She pleads with him, to no avail. Steve has to leave in order to protect her. Kayla will have none of that. She tells him to strangle her right now, as she does not want to live without him. He tries packing again, but she will not let him, and keeps pulling his clothes out of the bag. Finally, he grabs his jacket, leaving without his luggage. Kayla runs after him, knocking him to the ground, and straddles him, as she cries, and flails at him with her fists. He cannot leave her. What happened to their vows…:”for better or worse, in sickness and in health”. Steve leaves.

EJ arrives at the warehouse sick room, with Sami’s bag of trash, telling the patient how they will now embark on a treasure hunt. He rummages around in the bag, and finds a letter from Dr. David Lieberman, Obstectric and Gynecology (Sami needs to get a shredder!). He smiles, telling his father that he just might have been successful in planting the DiMera seed. The hand closes into a fist, sort of like the victory clench. Now EJ says how grateful he is to his father for how he raised him to be the man he now has become, and that he will do everything possible to make his father well. The hand reaches out for EJ’s hand and squeezes it.

We hear the sliding door, and lookee here. It is Steve! Now how did he know where EJ was? He tells EJ that he has won, that he will do whatever he wants, but not to hurt Kayla. EJ turns around, Steve grabs EJ around the throat, whips out a knife,holding it to EJ’s throat. Alas, EJ just pulls out that ol tarot card and Steve sinks to his knees, defeated before EJ even gets a scratch. Too bad. He asks what he is supposed to do, and EJ tells him that he is "one of us" and it is something easy.... bring John Black to him. Just that. Bring John Black. Steve repeats…bring John Black.
Kayla walks around the room, picking up their wedding picture. She clasps it to her, sits down on the bed, and picks up the cell phone. She punches in a number, and when the person answers, just says “It’s me. I need you right away. It’s a matter of life and death.”
And the previews roll.

Chelsea to Dr. Rebert as Nick overhears: I’m really anxious to show you what I can do. I promise to make you happy.

Mimi: My mom’s hiding something.
Max: What?

Summary: Sami fears EJ learning that she is pregnant, but he has his own way…Steve walks out on Kayla…Philip and Willow threaten each other…Shawn has a plan for their escape.

At Sami’s…Sami and Lucas are kissing as he tells her hit will be him, her, Will and the baby soon. He gives her a heart pendant necklace for their baby girl…but when she asks, he says if it’s a boy, he will think of something. He can’t wait to tell everyone they are having a baby, but she wants to wait. Lucas reminds her that Roman, Kate, Billie and Will already know, but Sami begs him not to tell anyone else. He talks about how amazing it is that she saved his life and conceived all in one night. She gets upset and he tells her to just concentrate on the good things in their life. EJ shows up (as always), telling them he knows their good news…Kate just told him and asks for the date. But he is talking about their wedding and wants to be invited. He asks if there are any more surprises they are hiding and Sami says no. He says he wants to give them a gift…Lucas a month off and a honeymoon trip. Upset, Sami goes to the other room as Lucas complains about working with Kate. EJ tells him not to worry about Kate. Sami comes back asking EJ to leave. On his way out, he grabs their garbage bag, telling them he will drop this off for them. After he leaves, Lucas asks her why she doesn’t want EJ to know she is pregnant. Sami says it’s no big deal but she feels like EJ is playing games with them, trying to break them up. Lucas blames it on her hormones as they sit and he tries to calm her down. He says they should just tell everyone the truth. But Sami says no…she doesn’t want EJ to know. Lucas asks her if she still has a thing for him and she says no…the opposite…she is frightened of him and doesn’t trust him. She reminds Lucas that she set EJ up and she fears he is out for revenge. Lucas thinks she is just being paranoid. Sami accuses him of siding with EJ and says she can’t handle even living in the same building with him. Lucas tells her to concentrate on the good things and to forget about EJ…he says it’s no big deal even if he does find out she is pregnant. He tells her to trust him and have faith in him as he hugs her.

On the Ship…Philip paces on the deck as he is joined by Willow. She goes on and on about scamming the rich guys at gambling. He reminds her that is not why she is there and she assures him that she is going to stay with him and do as he says. In their cabin, Shawn and Belle talk about what is going to happen. She worries as soon as they dock, the authorities will take Claire away. But Shawn tells her that he has a plan. Willow tells Philip he should lighten up a bit and suggests that once he gets Claire, he hire her as a nanny, since he will be so busy. Shawn tells Belle about his plan of them escaping on a life raft. She fears they will not make it, but he says they can’t just give up…they must take a chance. Philip lights into Willow, saying she is crazy…once a whore, always a whore. But she reminds him that she is carrying his insurance policy. He says once he has Claire, he has no more use for her, but she says she won’t be gotten rid of that easily. Shawn asks Belle to trust him as they try to figure a way out, being that the windows are locked from the outside. Belle has an idea and tells him that there are air vents in the bathroom. Shawn checks it out and thinks he can fit through them. He plans on escaping and coming back with the key and will let them out. Philip laughs at Willow for threatening him, saying she is all trash and flash. She threatens to go to the judge and admit that she was paid off…and smirks as she says that Claire’s future is in her hands. Philip explodes, telling her she is too smart for her own good. He picks her up and dangles her over the side of the ship as she pleads until he pulls her back up. She calls him a monster and says she hopes that Shawn and Belle keep Claire. Shawn makes it through the vents and lurks around the deck. He sees an officer and later we see him out cold as Shawn is in his uniform. Another ship officer shows up at Belle’s cabin, wanting to talk with them. She turns on the shower and claims that Shawn is in there and stalls for time. The officer says she and Claire can stay in the cabin, but they are going to hold Shawn in the Brig (this is after he shows her the article about them being kidnappers). Belle claims she needs to feed Claire and for him to come back. He says he will be back in 10 minutes and leaves. After he leaves, Shawn comes back and unlocks the door. They get their things together, but as they go to leave, see Philip in the hallway and duck back into the cabin.

At Steve & Kayla’s…He is packing his things as she is begging him not to go. But he says he is saving her by leaving. She pleads and begs with him to stay and not give up. She says they can face it together, but Steve says they did something to him and he can’t control it. She talks about all the years she grieved and says she can’t go through that again. She says she never gave up hope on him but he says this time she must let him go. She says if he leaves, then her life is over as she tries to block the door, but he pushes on past her. She chases him through the other room and ends up on top of him slapping and hitting him and they end up kissing. But he gets up and tries to leave as she begs him not to. But he runs out the door, telling her he loves her.

At the Warehouse…EJ arrives, carrying Sami’s trash bag. He digs through it, and finds a card from Sami’s doctor. He tells Stefano it will be a DiMera baby. He says that it looks like things are going as planned…there will be a Brady carrying a DiMera child…Steve Johnson will be theirs…as Stefano takes his hand. EJ says he hopes he is proud of him and that he is going to make him well again. He hears a noise and turns to find Steve there. Steve tells him he wins…he will do whatever he wants…just don’t harm Kayla. Steve then rushes him with a knife, but EJ flashes the tarot card and brings Steve to his knees, under his control. He tells him that he wants him to bring John Black to him.

Back at their apartment…Kayla picks up their wedding picture and holds it close, then drops it to the floor. She goes to the bedroom and picks up the phone and calls someone, telling them she needs to talk to them about Steve…it’s a matter of life and death…as the previews show…

Chelsea (to Dr. Reibert): I am really anxious to show you what I can do…I promise to make you happy…(as Nick listens)…

Mimi (to Max): My mom’s hiding something… (Max): Like what?...(Mimi): We are going to have to figure out before it’s too late…

Chelsea has her job interview, Kate's visit to Lucas does not turn out well for her, while Sami's visit to Celeste gains her a friend in need.

Chelsea arrives for her interview with Dr. Rebert, as Nick eavesdrops outside. She apologizes once again for her actions the last time they met, but Dr. Rebert is very accomodating. He is glad she was able to come, as he doesn't usually interview this late in the day. But needless to say, there really is no interview. He just tells her she has the job, and proceeds to flirt a bit with her. She is very excited, promising to do whatever he wants, and she will do a good job. He says something about, what, no kisses this time? (Uh, oh). She leaves, and outside in the hall, Nick stops her. She wonders what he is going there, duhhh, he works there. Chelsea tells him that when she teased him about his hair, polyester shirts, shoes, etc. she was not being mean, but considered him her friend. He says he knows that. They talk a bit about his impersonation of Dr. Patton....and Chelsea tells him he just doesn't get it. He replies, no, YOU don't get it. I love you. Chelsea is startled, but Nick has wanted to say those words to her for a long time. After she leaves, Nick goes into the lab, telling Dr. Rebert that Chelsea is really not as worldly as she seems. Rebert tells Nick he is out of line, and already skating on thin ice. Meanwhile, Chelsea goes to the garage, where evidently Abby is working late again, this time on the books. She brags about getting the job, and mentions Nick saying he loved her. She talks about going shopping the next day, and Abby wonders why, as wouldn't she just be wearing a lab coat? She certainly hopes not. Abby wonders which Dr. Patton is it that Chelsea wants to dress for.....Nick, or Dr. Rebert.

Celeste is playing with Theo, and tells him his dad is going to read this book to him when he comes home. (Thought Abe was going blind???) She sends him off to work on a puzzle, as she opens a piece of mail. My goodness, it is a speeding ticket for Alexandra. Celeste murmurs how she was always warning Lexie about speeding. She looks at the 2nd part of the ticket, and is startled. She calls Sami, telling her to get over to the house within 10 minutes, or she is going to call the police. Sami arrives apparently in record time, and Celeste begins to question her about Lexie being missing, and wonders what Sami knows about it. Sami is perplexed, not understanding what Celeste is driving at. Celeste shows her the ticket, along with the PICTURE taken of the occupants of the car and the license plates. She says that is definitely Lexie's car, but certainly not Lexie in it. (The picture shows Sami & EJ with the license plate - PKT 352 and the words "The Friendly State" under the numbers. LOL. So now we know the name of the state...Friendly. Wonder what the zip code is. heheheh)
Sami's lip quivers, as she tells all to Celeste. How Lucas was injured, and their car would not start, so she flagged down a car, and was so happy when it stopped. But then it turned out to be EJ, who agreed to help her with Lucas, if she got him thru the roadblock. She is beginning to cry as she tells Celeste he wanted to have sex with her, and "plant his seed". Celeste is horrified, saying...darling, he raped you, and Sami nods. Celeste wants her to tell the police what Elvis has done, but now Sami tells of being pregnant, and not knowing who the father is. And how EJ told her that Stefano sent him to Salem to plant his seed in a Brady woman. She is beating herself up, but Celeste tells her she is not a victim, but a survivor. Celeste realizes that even if Stefano is dead, the evil continues. She comments that Lexie may not have witnessed EJ shooting John, but Tek did, and he is missing, too. She thinks EJ has murdered them both. Sami says, no, maybe he is just holding them somewhere. Celeste promises to keep Sami's secret, but worries about EJ learning the existence of the picture. Sami promises not to reveal anything about that. She leaves.

Earlier, in their apt., Sami is looking at a Bridal book, talking of her failed weddings, of how all her dreams as a young girl have always come to naught. Lucas reassures her that nothing will happen this time, and promises all will go well. Sami knows she will start showing soon, and so they do not have much time. Knock, Knock. Sami mutters it better not be EJ, but no, it is her nemesis, Kate, who comes in spouting her same ol, same ol tirades about Sami. Lucas lets her know he had warned her about respecting Sami, and lets her know he has proposed, and they are to be married. This sets Kate off, as usual. Sami gets a phone call, (see above), hangs up saying it was a telemarketer, and then saying she is going shopping, she just is tired of all this. Kate questions the time, but Sami just says she will be back, she has to get out. Now Kate goes after Lucas, asking if he is not suspicious, etc. Nope, he trusts her. This leads Kate right into her accusations and theory about Sami helping rescue Lucas, but that it was really EJ. Lucas has had enough. Where is her proof. He really gives Kate what for, talks of the baby coming, and how Kate doesn't care about anything except winning an argument. Just control. He talks of Austin, Billie and now Philip (hmmm, what about Rex & Cassie?) and look what has happened with them and her interference. He loves Sami, and has warned her over and over about respecting her. He opens the door, telling her to leave. He tells Kate she is no longer welcome in this apt., that she is not invited to the wedding, or the Christening, or Will's graduation.
Sami returns, and asks about Kate. Lucas tells her she is gone, that he has disowned her, mentioning how Kate thinks Sami had EJ helping her. Sami says Kate is crazy, as they hug and Sami tells him she loves him so much, and to never forget it.

As Kayla & Steve sleep, he is twitching, shaking as he dreams of being tortured. (This is black & white)He sees a hand turn off some knob, the twitching stops, and EJ takes off the restraints. As he bends over Steve, he turns and grabs EJ by the throat, choking him as EJ lets out a maniacal, evil laugh. It goes to color, as we see Patch is choking Kayla, who is gasping his name. Suddenly Steve realizes what he is doing, and flings himself across the room, onto the floor, saying, no, no, no, no, no. Kayla picks up a lamp, to ward off any further attack, but Steve is nearly crying as he says he was dreaming, dreaming of choking EJ. Now he tells her of escaping from the hospital, and confronting EJ.....and how something happened and he doesn't remember. But in his dream he does remember EJ saying "you are now one of us." Kayla now starts the same ol mantra we have heard over and over about getting him help, and him refusing. He says it will not help. Kayla reminds him that John was a pawn, and look at the life he has now. Steve reminds her that John has been shot, and is in a coma. He wants Kayla to call police and report him for domestic violence. She refuses, and will not charge him with assault. He says he would kill himself before ever laying another hand on her. He grabs a bag and begins to pack. For her safety, he is leaving her. And the previews show:

Belle: Do you have a plan?
Shawn: It's dangerous, but I think it's our only chance

Steve to Kayla: Don't try to stop me. Don't make me live the rest of my life with your blood on my hands.

Lucas to Sami: What's with you? I mean, I know you don't want people to know your pregnant, but especially EJ??

Willow.....as Philip lifts her up and over the rail of the ship..What the hell, Philip. Put me down. She screams!

February Weeps continues, oops, sorry, I mean February Sweeps, tho one would never know it so far. If you are looking for romance, hearts and flowers, soft music, candles, keep looking, cuz you won’t find it in Salem for Valentine’s Day. Instead, Sami cries a lot as Lucas proposes, EJ lets Steve off the hook with threats all around, Philip finds Shawn & Belle, & an embarrassed Chelsea learns the truth.

Lucas is still down on one knee, telling Sami how much he loves her and wants her, and tho expecting her to be happy, she bursts into tears, says she can’t, and buries her head in the sofa. He wonders what is wrong, he thought they were happy, and does his best to get her to open up. She claims she is so difficult, but he knows that and says he loves it about her, loves everything. She finally says yes, but worries about his mother always trying to break them up. Lucas AGAIN claims that if she does, she is out of their lives. (yeah, Lucas, you are like a broken record with that statement, but never follow through). Now Lucas goes to get something he bought for their baby, a marsupial, with a little baby in it’s pouch. (I think it is a wombat). He says something about this time knowing the baby is his from the very beginning, and Sami gets angry and cries again. He apologizes, did not mean it, but she remembers how he did not know Will was his for so long. They talk, with Lucas proclaiming he thinks their baby is a girl, tho he would not mind a boy. They make great boys. They kiss, and fade out. Later, as they bask in the afterglow, there is a knock, knock at the door. Sami doesn’t want to answer, but Lucas insists. Who else is it, but the Prince of Darkness from across the hall, wanting to make sure Sami was o.k. after yesterday’s little show. He assures her all is o.k. with him & Kate in regard to that, and then spots the ring box, asking if they are celebrating something. Lucas tells him they are engaged, and EJ offers his congratulations, surprised that this happened so suddenly. And of course, he now spies the stuffed animal, picks it up, asking if there are going to be any additions to the family. Lucas is about to blurt out that it is for their baby, when Sami interrupts, claiming she got it for their niece, for Claire, when she gets back. EJ leaves, reminding them of the meeting in New York, a family affair. He goes out, and Sami once again bursts into tears. Lucas holds her, as EJ listens outside the door, saying “you’re hiding something, Sami,. I wonder what it could be”.

Kayla tries to reason with Steve, telling him if he doesn’t continue with the treatment, the DiMeras will still have a hold on him. Cue EJ to come strolling in, announcing that he has reconsidered, and is dropping all charges. Steve refuses, telling EJ he knows he tortured him, and wants to know why. EJ tells Kayla that Steve needs help, and insists he will still drop the charges. Kayla tells Steve to go sign the papers, and then tells EJ to stay away from her husband. She promises to keep Steve away from him, but warns EJ that if any harm comes to Steve, she will kill EJ herself. She goes out, Steve returns. He wants to know what is up. EJ tells him to just go along with the game, or something just might happen to someone close to him, Kayla for instance. He leaves, and Steve stumbles a bit, as his head seems to be hurting. (Can we end all these episodes and get our normal Patch back already?) Kayla returns, and Steve picks up his jacket, a little box falls out. He tells Kayla he has been carrying it around for a while, and it is for Valentine’s Days. (How romantic….NOT! In the middle of the police station…..oh, well.) She opens it, and it is a necklace with 2 intertwined hearts. Kayla thinks it is lovely, and wishes they could just put everything behind them, but Steve says he cannot forget what EJ and the DiMeras have done to him. (Anyone remember last summer being told “no more DiMeras?”)

Chelsea stops the hugs and kisses, being there is no response from the good doctor. She realizes something is wrong, and asks if he is not Dr. Shane Patton. Nope, he is Dr. Rebert. She mentions Lonely Splicer, and he wonders if she is on drugs. LOL. Billie just watches, as a puzzled Chelsea wonders who used his picture to fake her out. She apologizes, explaining how she came there to apply for the lab assistant job, had wanted her friend, Nick Fallon to put in a good word for her, and again says how sorry she is, and rushes out. Billie follows and ties to make sense of the whole thing. She thinks maybe some guy, a patient or orderly, saw Chelsea when she was doing community service at the hospital and was too shy to let her know who he was. Chelsea decides she has to find Nick, as he will be able to figure it all out. Billie calls Nick.

Meanwhile, Nick & Abby are at Billie’s apt. looking for Chelsea. No answer. (wonder how come they don’t see EJ, the man is everywhere, it seems.) Nick is upset, and Abby tries to talk sense to him. He talks of how well they got along in Toronto, and Abby tells him how Chelsea called him a hero. His cell rings, and there is Billie, telling him that Chelsea saw this doctor, who was not Shane Patton, and is very upset, and on her way to see him. Nick takes off.

Chelsea arrives at Maggie’s looking for Nick. Maggie tells her she is welcome to wait, and can go up to his room if she likes. (hmmm, happy to see the beautiful Maggie, even for 5 seconds, but that is a bit presumptuous of her) Chelsea goes upstairs and into Nick’s room (wonder how she knew where it was? LOL). She takes off her coat, wanders a bit around the room, and then sees these two movie posters on the wall. Old movies, but really great ones. Shane (starring Alan Ladd) and Patton (starring George C. Scott). Her eyes move from the word Shane to the word Patton, as she repeats them aloud. In comes Nick. Chelsea rails at him, reading him the riot act, and says she never wants to see him again. Nick explains, how he stumbled on her video blog while at work , and she seemed so sad, so vulnerable, and he just wanted to help her. He apologizes, but a crying Chelsea talks of how she was so completely honest, how she told things she never told anyone else, how she trusted this person who only existed in Nick’s immagination. She is angry, and crying and stalks out.

Willow to Shawn: I’m pregnant and Philip wants to take care of me and my baby. So what do you think about that?

Philip (holding Claire): Why don’t we take out little girl home.Belle: What?Philip: together, Belle, what do you say?

EJ (holding a glass of champagne or something) to Sami: Why don’t we have a toast to your child. Here’s to motherhood, eh?

Bo to Chelsea: I’ve got a signed, sworn statement right here, saying you were involved. You’re not my daughter.

Ho hum continues as Sami gets mixed reviews on her antics with Kate and EJ, but Lucas surprises her with a proposal; Mimi gets the news about her father; Belle’s fears come true; Celeste comes to the rescue.

SAMI’S APARTMENT
Roman visits Sami, tempted to arrest her for stealing the surveillance tape of Kate and EJ from his office. He tells her Kate is threatening to sue Salem PD about it and could win. He’s disappointed in Sami as he thought she had changed her ways. He lectures her, but she stands up for what she did. Sami has no regrets, but feels Kate should sue her, not the PD. She offers her wrists saying she did the crime and is more than willing to pay the price and do time for it. He refuses, saying he put the disk back in the file already and figures Kate won’t press charges after she calms down. He warns her to not do something like that again. He asks if Lucas knows what she did. Sami refers to Kate as the bride of Satan, then apologizes, LOL He says no offense taken and tells her to lay off Kate, even if Kate doesn’t reciprocate. He leaves and Sami breaks down. Lucas walks in seconds later and she goes to his arms, saying she has something to tell him. She tells him about what happened, but Kate had beat her to it. She’s surprised he’s not mad, even happy about it, saying his mom and EJ deserved it. He had warned Kate to butt out of their business and kisses Sami, asking her not to lose that fire she has in her..as long as it’s not aimed at him. He loves her and won’t let his mom ruin their lives any more. She and their baby are his priority now and if his mom interferes, she’s out of their lives for good (how many times have we heard that?) They talk about if he’ll work for EJ and Kate, and he says he’s thought a lot about John and Marlena. He realizes if you want something, you need to go after it when you can. Puzzled, she asks what he has in mind. He gets down on his knee, holding out an engagement ring and says, “Will you marry me?”

NICK
Max and Mimi visit Nick and he tells her the DNA matched her father’s. Mimi cries and figures her mother and brother must have killed her father. Max suggests they talk to Abe about this, but leaves the decision up to her.

CHELSEA chats on the phone with Abby (who’s at Salem Place). Abby senses Chelsea has a crush on Nick. Billie returns with good news about how Hope was praising Chelsea now and on her way over. (my, nice tv in the apartment for not having much money). Billie is surprised and pleased when Chelsea tells her she wants to help with expenses. She shows her an ad in the paper for a lab assistant at the hospital needing no experience, just someone who can do a lot of walking. Chelsea remembers how much walking she and Nick did in Canada and hurt Nick wasn’t honest about the opening being available. Billie figured the opening arose while they were in Canada. Chelsea figures Nick doesn’t want her around and disappointed, thinking he must think her too wild. She tells Billie how Nick slept with an older woman. She could have sworn he was a virgin (oh paleez..how many teens tell their moms that kind of thing). She plans on cornering Nick to find out why he didn’t tell her about the job. Later at the hospital she asks Billie how to fill out the application form where it asks if she’s ever been convicted of a felony. She sees the doctor she thinks of as Dr. Shane Patton walk by. She calls out to Dr. Patton and he looks up. She figures it is him and rushes to hug him and kisses his face as he doesn’t push her away, just looks startled.

JAVA CAFE
A nervous Nick asks Abby to meet him there. He’s afraid about Chelsea’s reaction to the job now available. Abby’s suggestion, tell Chelsea the truth. He’s all set to say the doctor he works for looks like her Lonely Splicer, but that’s just a coincidence. He wants to console her if she needs it.

CARVER HOME
Celeste arrives to find Abe and Theo at the dining table. He asks discreetly if she’d pick up some little valentine for Theo and she had already done so, then gives Theo a small truck. She promises to take him to the ice cream store. Abe gets up and trips on footstool and she helps him, asking if there’s any news about Lexie. He says no and Theo asks about his mother every day. Abe’s concerned as his vision worsens if he can take care of his son. She offers her help and he needs someone to be there for Theo and to read to him. She assures him that he’s Theo’s rock, but he knows his son needs someone with two good eyes and asks if it would okay if Theo came to live with her for a while. Celeste is worried about Abe living alone and Theo losing him as well as his mother. She suggests moving in with them as she could help with Theo as well as Abe. He’s thrilled with the suggestion and accepts. Mimi and Max visit Abe and tell him what the DNA tests revealed. Abe’s sorry to hear it and worried about what this might mean for her mother and brother. Later Celeste and Theo return from getting ice cream. She said Theo’s excited about her moving in. Abe wants her to have the master bedroom saying it’s too painful for him to use it anymore anyway.

ON THE SHIP
Shawn splurged on some baby clothes, much to Belle’s dismay. He wants her and Claire to get out of the cabin and enjoy themselves. Meanwhile, the ships doctor (who looks like he barely graduated high college), alerts the captain there’s something funny about a couple of passengers and suggests they check them out (Belle and Shawn). Later Belle and Claire lie on the chaise (Claire in her baby buggy) in the sun and Shawn returns in his swim trunks, wet and wearing scuba gear. He entered a diving competition and won the gear. She tells him that she and Claire had fun at the baby pool and made some friends from Montreal there. They feel safe. Shawn suggests they get off the ship and hike on an island layover, but Belle doesn’t want to leave the ship. A cheerful waiter delivers their smoothies and some candies for Claire, referring to them as Mr. and Mrs. Perkins. Not knowing if they should tip or not, they figure they should get their own drinks from now on. Belle looks over the newspaper and sees their picture and an article about how they’re wanted for child abducting (oh paleez). A worried Belle hurries out of the chaise and pushes Claire’s stroller back to their room, saying she’s not leaving until they reach Australia. Back in their room she’s terrified, packing, saying she wants off the boat. (how about coloring/cutting your hair at least!) He’s worried they don’t have any way to take care of themselves on the island. The captain knocks on their door to tell them there’s a problem with their passports…as the previews roll…

LUCAS TO SAMI (who’s crying uncontrollably): “You can tell me, all right? Why are you so upset?”

CHELSEA angrily pushes NICK screaming: “Nick, how can you do this to me?”

STEVE TO KAYLA: “…can’t be happy until we find out the truth and Wells is the only one who can give it to me.”

PHILIP and WILLOW walk into SHAWN and BELLE’S room on the ship and Philip says: “You aren’t taking my daughter anywhere. Did you really think I’d let you get away with this?”

Summary: One of those “ho-hum” shows…Kayla turns to Bo for help with Steve…who in the meantime is being taunted by EJ…With Victor and Willow’s assistance (but NOT Lucas’s) Philip frantically searches for Claire…and more of Belle and Shawn on the ship.

At the Java Café…Kayla meets up with Bo, worried about Steve. She tells him that Steve remembered some of what happened to him and they know he was held captive and tortured and shares what little she knows. She feels that there is a lot he is not telling her. Bo tells her that he talked to Marlena and she shared with him about the dreams she is having…that John came to her in those dreams and feels that they are involve Steve as well. He tells her though that they were just dreams and not to take them too seriously. But Kayla thinks that maybe there is more to it…John and Marlena have this connection. She thinks all of it is connected somehow. They both agree that Steve is in trouble and Bo says he feels that Steve is only trying to protect Kayla as she fears something horrible is going to happen, as she explains about Benjy giving Steve the tarot card and how they believe it was a trigger. Her phone rings and she learns that Steve has escaped from the psych ward. Bo thinks he knows where he may be and they take off.

Meanwhile, at Mythic…EJ is on the phone when Steve bursts in, telling he remembered and it was EJ that was torturing him and he was laughing about it. He demands to know what they did to him. He goes to strike EJ but he whips out the tarot card as Steve stares at it. He taunts Steve and pats him on the head, calling him a “good little dog” as Steve is helpless. He tells Steve that he was hand-picked by Stefano to be an agent for them and is under their control. He tells him he has will power and that is good, he will be a much better soldier than John Black was. Steve tries to fight it but EJ says if he fails, it will affect the ones he loves…Kayla and Stephanie. As Steve tries to fight it off, EJ keeps flashing the card in front of his eyes. About this time, Bo and Kayla come rushing in, demanding to know what EJ did to him. He claims he didn’t do anything, Steve came charging in and attacked him…AGAIN. Steve is mumbling incoherently, saying phrases like “it’s him”…”I saw him”…”in the room”. He tries to tell them that EJ helped torture him. He begs Bo to take him back to jail and lock him up (to protect Kayla, most likely). She promises to stay by his side. Bo tells them to go on to the car while he talks to EJ. But before they leave, Kayla walks over and slaps EJ right across the face, telling him he will pay for what he has done. After they leave, Bo tells EJ he knows about the tarot card and Benjy’s involvement as EJ says maybe Bo needs psychiatric help as well. He denies it all as Bo accuses him of shooting John. Bo says he is as sick and twisted as the old man. EJ says that he is a DiMera and Bo is a Brady…can’t they just get along? Bo tells him that Steve has been punished enough…he should be at home with his wife. But EJ refuses to drop the charges, saying that Steve is dangerous. Cocky EJ says that he is sure that Bo and Kayla can give Steve adequate care as Bo tells “Elvis Junior DiMera” to just go to hell. After he leaves, EJ says “not before you”.

On the Cruise Ship…The doctor asks Belle and Shawn about “Lucy Ann’s” immunizations. They claim she had them and he needs proof. He says the doctor probably gave them a form and they search for it. They try to stall and say that it’s late and they will find it and show it to him tomorrow. The doctor finally agrees and says he needs to see it first thing. After he leaves, Belle is panicking about it but Shawn says they will just tell him they couldn’t find it…the worst thing is, he will immunize her. Belle goes to shower and get ready for bed as Shawn hangs a sheet on one side of the bed to give her privacy. After her shower, he watches her shadow on the shadow on the sheet as she changes. He decides he will take the sofa and she asks if he is sure. He goes to take his shower as well (and comments to himself, it will be a cold on). After his shower, she watches him change in the same fashion he watched her as she is clearly getting a bit turned on. He goes over to kiss Claire goodnight (in his low-rider bottoms). Nice Shawn, you bend over right in front of Belle, giving her a clear view of your backside, lol. He tells her they need sleep…they will need it, they will figure something out re: the doctor. They go to bed (her on the bed, he on the sofa) but both lie there awake in the dark, thinking about each other.

At the Kiriakis Mansion…Philip is studying maps, talking on the phone to detectives, trying to find Belle and Shawn. Lucas comes in asking what is going on. An angry Philip tells him he lost his leg and his face, but neither of those hurt more than losing his daughter. He is angry with Lucas for not helping when Victor asked him to. Lucas tells him that Victor ORDERED him to go and steal Claire, but he couldn’t do it. He says that Belle IS Sami’s sister as Philip goes of on a tangent about Sami. Philip plays the family card (reminding Lucas that HE is HIS brother as well) then asks Lucas just WHY is he there. Lucas tells him he needs Philip’s help to get his job back, he can’t work for EJ…he doesn’t respect him. Philip asks if he respects Victor as he whines about losing Claire. Philip finally says he will talk to Victor about it, but Victor walks in, telling Lucas he made his choice and walked away…and for Philip to call security and tell them they have an intruder. Philip refuses and tells Lucas to just leave and says that Lucas only ever came to see him when he wanted something in return. With that, Lucas leaves as Victor assures Philip he did the right thing. But Philip says that Lucas was always good to him and hates that he got caught in the middle of all this. Philip tells Victor that he has been searching but can’t find Shawn and Belle. Victor suggests that he check the tax records of everyone on the ship and that way if they are under assumed names, he can find them. Philip asks where he can get tax records and Victor says he will be right back. Lucas is in the foyer on the phone with a garage, he is car won’t start. Philip comes in, telling him he felt bad for the way he treated him earlier (but says he couldn’t cross Victor) and offers his car to Lucas. He informs Lucas that Victor is getting old and won’t be around forever and when he retires, he will hire Lucas back. Lucas says he guesses he will just work for Public Enemy #1 until then…thanks Philip…great plan. Philip hands over a wad-o-cash to tide him over, but Lucas turns it down, telling Philip he hasn’t changed at all. Lucas takes the car keys and leaves. Philip goes back to the den and paces the floor as Victor returns with the records, telling him to get to work. Willow wanders in, going on and on about the mansion as Victor insults her on his way out. She tells Philip she went to the doctor and is 4 months pregnant. He tells her she had better hope that the baby is Shawn’s or she will be out on her butt. She swears it is Shawn’s, being that he is the only one she has been with and goes on to tell him that she is feeling “amorous”…and that because she is pregnant, it doesn’t mean she is dead, as she starts coming on to him. He shrugs her off, telling her he doesn’t mix business with pleasure. He tells her what he is doing and she asks if she can help…and what does she win if she finds them first. He says his undying gratitude and she says, well, that’s a start. Later, she cozies up to him again and begins to massage his shoulders and he gives her a look and she stops. Later, she is going over the list and jumps up and down excitedly, saying she found something…she thinks she found Shawn and Belle. Freeze Frame on Philip…as the previews show…

Chelsea (to Billie): I would have bet my life on it that Nick was a virgin…but do you know he did the deed with some older woman (as Billie gulps)…

Sami (crying to Lucas): I have to tell you something…and I don’t think you will like it…

Belle (shows Shawn an article in the paper with their pictures and says): Oh my God…someone’s going to see this and recognizes us…

The runaways run into a problem aboard the cruise ship, Steve undergoes hypnosis in the hospital, while we see the fallout from Sami’s little trick at Mythic.

Shawn brings in a tray of food, exclaiming about all the amenities aboard the cruise ship, including the pool He wants to take Claire and let her have some fun. Belle is adamant about not leaving the room, until they dock (Wow, must say it is a huge room, on a great cruise ship, and only $1000 for the 3 of them. Wonder what cruise line that is. LOL) Belle & Shawn argue, with him reassuring Belle, promising to take care of her & Claire. (Same convo we have heard repeatedly of late)Finally Belle agrees they can leave the room, but only with certain rules. They go by their passport names, remember they are from Nova Scotia, as Belle reassures Shawn no one is going to ask them to sing “O,Canada”. (The Canadian National Anthem). Now they look out the window and exclaim for a few minutes about all the stars, and how beautiful. (???)Claire wakes up, & Belle notes she is running a fever, insisting they have to call the ship’s doctor. He arrives, says her fever is not that bad, and no other symptoms. Belle mentions her cutting her molars, he attributes the fever to that, adding she may have a bit of seasickness, just give her liquids for the next 24 hours, do not let her get dehydrated, and if her fever spikes, to call him. He begins to leave, but asks for Lucy Ann’s passport. Shawn hands it over, and the doctor takes one look, saying there is a problem, there is no immunization stamp.

First a repeat of Sami proclaiming how up close and personal will be the attention the clients will be getting from EJ and Kate, should they be doing business with Mythic. She leaves the room, and Kate says to turn off the video. She goes after Sami, who reminds her that she saved her neck in EJ’s apt. when she was searching it, and then saved her son’s life, but Kate could not appreciate it. Sami tells her now that now SHE knows how it feels to be publicly humiliated. Kate reminds her that EJ is also on the tape, and will not be happy.
Billie berates EJ for sleeping with her mother. EJ retorts that life is short, and one takes pleasure where one can find it. (ugh, this guy is so oily, he must slide right out of bed, lol). Billie remarks she thought he was interested in Sami, but he claims he was, but she is now with Lucas, and so is off limits. Billie now leaves to go yell at Sami, as EJ tells Kate not to worry, he will fix this. He proceeds to go to the front of room, points to the screen, saying jovially, so did you all like this? How many of you thought that was me up there, raise your hands. All the hands go up. And how many thought that was Kate Roberts up there, raise your hands, and all the hands go up again. And now EJ lays down his smoke screen, proclaiming the ground breaking new technology of animated reality (Oh, brother!) called CGI tehnology, yada, yada, yada. At first Kate is puzzled, but then big smile, as she comes to the front, and EJ turns the presentation over to her.
Billie argues with Sami outside, wondering how she could do such a thing. Sami tells her how Kate set her up with a fake cable show, and warns Billie against EJ, saying she thinks she is really into EJ, and that is a mistake. Billie thinks Sami, herself, has the hots for EJ. Sami goes to the bathroom, and EJ comes looking for Sami. They chat a bit about their business deal, and Billie makes sure EJ understands that she is not going to end up on his trophy wall. He kisses her hand saying their arrangement will be whatever Billie wants it to be. Kate comes looking for him and both leave. Now Sami returns, looking green. Billie chatters a bit, then realizes Sami is probably pregnant. Sami admits it, saying only her dad and Kate knows, and now Billie. So now Billie babbles on and on about it, suddenly popping up with “OMG, Lucas is not the father, is he”. Sami has a fit, telling Billie she has never, ever cheated in her life. She would never do such a thing, She loves Lucas……Billie apologizes. Now EJ & Kate come back in, with Kate saying how things have been fixed, and that Lucas still has a job. Sami looks startled, and Kate socks it to her how Lucas would have lost his job if Mythic went down. Sami looks discomfited, and Billie shushes her mom up, saying Sami has the flu, and should go home. Sami leaves. EJ remarks that Sami looked terrible. He then leaves. Kate takes this chance to warn Billie against EJ, saying he is trouble. Billie wants to know why Kate is still in business with him, if he is so terrible. Kate wants what is best for Billie, who retorts that she only wants to pay her rent, and put her daughter through college, and for Kate to butt out of her life. She does not want or need her advice.

Steve paces, upset. He says he has been in jail many times, but this is much different. He complains about someone in a strait jacket having to be spoon fed, and spitting soup all over the orderly. He tells her they just got back together, and should be holed up somewhere, making love. (yeah, I agree, Steve). He wants to leave, but Kayla tells him he can’t, that he agreed. In comes Dr. Beal. Steve banters a bit with him, but finally lays down on the bed, Dr. Beal darkens the room, telling Steve to relax, and finally has him under hypnosis. The doctor begins a steady beat, asking Steve to go back and remember when he first heard this. Steve begins to remember (we see this in black & white) being in a room with bare walls, and being strapped to a table. He remembers his body shuddering violently, as he is being given electric shock treatments, and then remembers EJ close to his face, holding the devil tarot card, saying “You’re one of us now”. He becomes so agitated the doctor ends the session. Steve wakes up, but says he doesn’t remember anything. The doctor plays the tape back, and WE can see Steve recalls his memory, but again he tells them he does not. He leaves to go to the bathroom, while Kayla talks to the doc. She realizes he has been tortured, and the doc agrees, saying Steve is repressing these memories. Steve returns, saying he wants out of there now, but Kayla tells him he is supposed to be there for 2 weeks. The doctor says if he leaves, then his bail is revoked. Dr. Beale leaves, saying he will be back later. Kayla questions Steve, but he still insists her remembers nothing. They hug. He pretends he has to go to craft session, and gets her to leave. He takes a coin or some small round metal object from his pocket and proceeds to undo the screws holding the bars to the window frame. He opens the window, looks around the room, and out he goes. (Glad he is on the lst floor, evidently. Lol) And the previews show………

Kayla to Bo: He’s in danger, Bo. I feel if we don’t do something to stop this, something horrible is going to happen to him.

EJ (holding the tarot card) to Steve: If you fail to accept your fate, I’m afraid it’s going to affect somebody very close to you.

Belle: laying on bed with some huge bow in her hair (at least it looks like one) You look nice and refreshed
Shirtless Shawn: You don’t look so bad yourself

Willow to Philip: OMG, I found them. Shawn & Belle. I think I found them. (She is holding a paper, larger than letter size, but a single sheet. Thought it might be a newspaper , but only one sheet)

At the Hospital…
Marlena is lying in bed alongside John saying she doesn’t care what anyone says…she heard him talking to her and she knows he is fighting to come back to her. She says she will not leave his side, as we see his eyes flutter and his voice saying “dreams…come to me in dreams”. She dozes off as it returns to her dream and he is telling her to open the door. She does as she is bathed in a bright light and he tells her to take his hand and step inside. She asks him if this is heaven…is he dead. He tells her not to be frightened…he loves her. So she takes his hand and steps through the door to a beautiful garden. She asks where they are and he says nowhere…everywhere…they are between dreaming and waking. He tells her that loves makes anything possible and real. She touches him, feeling the warmth and knows that he is real. She asks for him to kiss her as he touches her face and lightly kisses her, asking if she feels it. He tells her he has something important to tell her and proceeds to tell her what EJ said before he shot him. He says she needs to remember this, because she is likely to forget all this. She is frightened and he tells her that she should be afraid…her fear is the only thing that will keep her alive. He tells her to clear her mind and listen to what he has to say. He tells her that Steve Johnson is in trouble as she remembers John seeing him in the ER and saying “killer”. He tells her that Steve was tortured and brainwashed by the DiMeras long ago and was programmed to do things he has no control over. As he is speaking to her, Marlena can no longer hear his words. Instead, she hears the voice of the doctor waking her up. She tells the skeptical doctor that John was telling her something important and she didn’t hear him. She tries to tell him that it wasn’t a dream…it was real. She asks the doctor what he wants and he tells her that Kayla called and told him that Steve had signed himself in and she was wanting Marlena to keep an eye on him. This triggers her memory, as she remembers what John was saying. Marlena says of course she will check on him. After the doctor leaves, she goes back to John and asks him to finish what he was telling her about Steve. She talks about the place they were and how comforting it was…it was real. She tells him she needs him to come back to her…as she lays her head on his chest and begs him not to leave her.

At the Apartment Building…
Sami is getting ready to leave when she runs into Billie and EJ in the hall. Billie explains that EJ was helping her move some boxes. His phone rings and as he goes to catch it, Sami asks Billie WHAT she is doing…telling her that EJ shot John and is dangerous. But Billie claims that she made a business proposal to him. But Sami thinks she was flirting. Billie asks if she is jealous, which Sami vehemently denies, saying she is only worried about Billie…EJ is NOT who she thinks he is. But Billie assures her she can take care of herself. Sami says that EJ shot John and Lexie was a witness to the shooting. Now, the cops find her crashed car, but both she and Tek are missing. Sami begs her to listen to her before something happens to her as well. She tells her that EJ was on the run the night that Lexie disappeared. Billie asks her how she knows so much about that when no one else does. Billie wants to know where she got this info, but Sami just warns her to be careful. Billie says she knows that Sami loves Lucas but she thinks there is just a little part of Sami still itching for EJ. Sami denies it, begging Billie to listen to her…EJ is dangerous. He walks back out as Billie tells him they were just talking about him. Sami tells Billie not to say she didn’t warn her and leaves. EJ tells Billie she has spent the day with him…what does she think?...is he the monster that Sami makes him out to be? She says no, but warns him, if he is…she will find out. She reminds him she used to be a cop and has a sixth sense about people…and it is now telling her to proceed with caution. She tells him if she finds out that Sami is right, the professional relationship is over. He asks what about their personal relationship and she says there is none. As they playfully banter back and forth, Lucas walks up, seeing them and is disgusted. Billie quickly explains that EJ was helping her as Lucas points out that EJ is moving soon as well. EJ tells him that they are going to the press conference but Lucas says he wants to talk to Billie alone first, so EJ goes on ahead. Billie tells Lucas she made a business proposal to EJ and Lucas tells her to forget it, EJ is a sick SOB. Lucas says he shot John and he is putting a snow job on Billie, leaving her in a position to get “plowed”. After she tells him he is disgusting, she claims they are only talking business and if EJ is willing to help her, she is going to let him. With that, she says she is a big girl and she can take care of herself and heads to her apartment.

At Mythic…
Earlier, Lucas told Kate that she had better come to terms with him and Sami or else. She asks if he is threatening her and he says he knows that Sami is only trying to hurt Sami…why does she hate her so? He says he feels sorry for Kate for being so hateful and vengeful…he knows that Sami has changed. But Kate is bound and determined that Sami is lying about what happened in the cabin, but Lucas tells her to get a life and leave them alone. She says she is only trying to save him and wants him to be loved by a woman…Sami will only hurt him and she is trying to protect him. Lucas says he doesn’t need to be protected. But Kate says she is his mother and she won’t stop until she gets to the truth. Kate tries to explain that the story Sami told is physically impossible…she must have had help. Lucas tells her to prove it then and she goes on to explain about the expert (the professor) she had and goes on about his reputation. But Lucas says SHE has a reputation as well and HER reputation is less than impeccable. He says so what if Sami did have help…he doesn’t care, maybe it was some farmer who doesn’t want attention. He says he doesn’t care if she had help from a genie in a bottle…it doesn’t matter. Lucas finally says he has heard enough, Kate doesn’t know what she is talking about and if she doesn’t stop trying to make Sami miserable, he will have to choose between them and Kate is out. With that he storms out.

Later, Kate welcomes everyone to the presentation/press conference and introduces herself. She agrees to field questions ask they are all asking where EJ is and if he is not part of the business anymore. She explains that he was cleared of all charges and Mythic is back and better than ever. She agrees to speak to some of the reporters privately as Sami walks in and talks to the AV guy, telling him that he has an important phone call at the front desk. He rushes off to take it as Sami has a seat at his station and changes the DVD in the machine with the one she has. The guy comes back asking what was up, there was no call. She apologizes and goes to leave, when she runs into EJ, who says he is on to her. He tells her that she shouldn’t be there as she claims she is there to offer support. She scoffs at him, telling him to leave her alone. He asks if she is okay, noting that she looks a little green around the gills. She claims it is HE who makes her feel sick. She says she is fine…never better. Billie arrives as Sami is on her way out (Billie sure is fast) and EJ flirts with her. He tells her that he thinks Sami is up to something. Kate restarts the presentation as Sami watches and listens from the hallway. The press sees EJ there and wants to question him about losing a contract and his reputation, etc. Kate takes over, explaining that EJ was cleared and she is happy to be in a partnership with him. She says when they see the film they will all understand what they have in mind for the stockholders and public. They start the film as Kate gasps “Oh My God”… as everyone sits slack-jawed at what they are seeing. We see Kate and EJ kissing and undressing each other. The press is clamoring as Sami walks into the room, talking about Kate’s strict moral code…and then asks what do morals mean to a WHORE?...Kate stands there shocked…as the previews show…

Belle: I don’t want to draw attention to ourselves, but we need to call the ship doctor…(Shawn): Okay…

Kayla: You committed yourself for 2 weeks…remember?...(Steve): No way…I need to get out of here today Kayla…

Sami (to Billie): If she wants a war…she can have one…and Kate won’t win…

EJ (to Steve, looks like a flashback of when he was being tortured): You are one of us now, Steve…Ssshhhhh….

EJ AND BILLIE
EJ walks out of his apartment to see Billie struggling with the door to her apartment. She hasn’t read the papers lately to know he’d returned and charges were dropped against him as she’s been busy moving into Lucas’ old apartment. She comments how timely it is that Chelsea’s out of town during the move and when he brings up her mother helping her, she laughs. He fills her in on how Kate and him are back working together as is Lucas and that Samantha is not only happy about it, but encouraged Lucas to do so. Billie is shocked at this news. He is fine that Lucas and Sami are happy together, even admires them that they think their love will last forever and he’ll find someone else. She tells him that Kate invited her to his presentation that evening. He picks up the box that she says weighs a ton easily and says for her to show him the way. We find them moving more boxes up to the apartment and she wonders if Lucas will wonder if she’s got a warehouse going on with all her things (where did she have all of this stuff at Bonnie’s?) EJ offers the use of his apartment to store things and she refuses. She tells him she can’t rely on other people and has to be responsible. She tells him about how she was a big exec at a cosmetic company years ago and that she and her mother were partners. Things didn’t work out and she left and things snowballed to Hell after that. She went into law enforcement and loved it, but personal problems ended that. She’s not going to set an example to her daughter of depending on others. Her dream now is to start a home security business that’s affordable to most people without a lot of expensive high tech gear. EJ proposes Mythic and her work together on this. He offers to share a bottle of wine to talk about it in his apartment, but she tells him she doesn’t drink. She does agree to go to his apartment and talk about it though.

AT THE COP SHOP
Steve is returned to the cell in his bright orange jumpsuit after his arraignment. Kayla is with him as the guard puts him back in the cell. He was charged with: Assault and battery, Resisting arrest, and his personal favorite…terrorist threats..saying that’s him, Osama Bin Johnson. She tells him no one believes that. She’s going to hold him to admitting himself to the psych ward when he gets out of there. He tells her after he gets out, he wants to go back to the hotel and make love to his beautiful wife and then admit himself. Dr. Beale, the Chief of the Psych Unit at the hospital arrives to have Steve fill out the transfer form. Steve reads, NAME, HEIGHT, PSYCHOSIS and says no. He asks how long it would be for after Kayla begs him to do as he promised. Dr. Beale said not long, two weeks for evaluation, saying the judge made it contingent to his getting out on bail. It could take months to get on the docket if bail is revoked. Steve says both are a straight jacket to him and no one is going to tell him what to do. Dr. Beale offers the paper to Steve, but Kayla wisely takes it and the doctor goes to get himself a cup of coffee to let them talk. Steve says two weeks in a mental ward is 14 days too long. Kayla reminds him how strong he is and how he stayed in quarantine with her risking his own life and didn’t even remember their past and how he risked his life to help Shawn and Belle. She knows the man she loves just needs help. He’d go to the ends of the earth to help anyone, now he has to do it for himself. She made sure he has good security at the hospital, especially from EJ. Steve figures in jail he won’t hurt anyone and she realizes that’s why he wants to stay there. He doesn’t know what triggers these attacks. Kayla gives him the ultimate challenge…if you love me you’ll do this, sign these papers. He counters with if she comes in and makes love with him first. He takes the papers and pen and signs it on the table (?) in his cell. Giving her the signed form, he says he hopes she still thinks he’s sexy in a straightjacket with drool on it. They hug and kiss through the cell door and she goes to take the paper to the Dr., looking back at Steve over her shoulder. Steve tells himself he just doesn’t know.

Sami arrives at Roman’s office and tells him how she should have suspected Kate wouldn’t have turned a leaf and helped her. Surprised that she’s not angrier about it, he wonders if there’s another reason she’s not talking revenge against Kate. He asks her what else happened that night as he thinks there must be more. She denies there was anything else and resents him asking. She recalls what happened about the beam falling and her going to the road to get help. She explains she was upset that her life was going her way finally and she went back to the cabin in a rage and lifted the beam. In that rage she drug Lucas’ body back to the freeway and a trucker took them to the hospital. Roman tells her about Kate’s expert that said she couldn’t have done all she said she did. Sami asks what his opinion is. Did an alien lift the beam off Lucas’ leg. He wonders if the alien in question was EJ Wells. Sami points out that she helped set EJ up as the police had let him slide through their fingers and remember, they hate his guts. Roman points out that according to the tape, Sami couldn’t lift the beam (uh, just tell him you were pregnant and didn’t want to risk hurting the baby by straining any more!) She stands up asking if the interrogation is over and he doesn’t know, asking her for her to tell him if it is. Hurt, she tells him how much it meant to get that Good Samaritan Award from him, to know he was proud of her. He says he is proud of her, it’s just his job to ask questions, but promises not to ask them again. Sami can’t stop crying and tells him Kate knows she’s pregnant and pretended to be thrilled about it. She asks for some water, claiming she’s dehydrating. Roman rushes out for it and she says to herself that if Kate wants her secrets, she wants Kate’s too and starts leafing through Roman’s unlocked file cabinet. She finds something and rushes it to her purse as Roman walks in, asking if she’s looking for something. She wipes her face, looking distraught, saying she was looking for tissues or a napkin on his file cabinet. He points out they’re on his desk and hands her one. He tells her there’s nothing else when asked and she leaves.

AT THE HOSPITAL
Marlena talks to a comatose John (on the respirator) telling him the doctors want to relocate him to a facility that can help his 24 hr. care better. He steps out of his body and watches her telling him how much she misses him. She goes on about how life is going on around them, but she’ll be by his side always. She wants him to wake up and tell her to take him home doc. Conscious John watches painfully and says he’s trying hard to come back to her, he just doesn’t know how to do it. We see and hear him standing there telling her he can hear and feel everything. She tells him she sees him in her dreams and he agrees, her dreams are where they can be together. The doctor walks in to tell her the ambulance is there to transport John and they’ll be up with the gurney soon. Crying, she bends over and kisses him the best she can with the tube in his mouth..and says my love, my dearest love, as we see the standing John sucked back into the one on the bed. His head moves a little after her kiss. He tells her they’ll be together in their dreams and she says she heard him and the machine showed it. She knows it wasn’t an involuntary movement like the doctor claims and cries they haven’t lost him. He explains how the body could simulate movement. Marlena knows different. He says it’s time to transfer her husband and arrangements have all been made. Marlena tells him no, and that’s her final word. She shoos the doctor out of John’s room and returns to John, cradling his head in her arms. She talks to him saying she’s sure the gossip around the hospital is busy about them and her stellar reputation isn’t going to hold now. She knows he’s trying to come back to her and tells him to hurry it up, LOL. We return to her under the blankets in bed with John as he silently says to come to him in her dreams (why does this remind me of Phantom of the Opera?) We see Marlena dreaming that she’s walking around in a sleeveless white gown and hears a door rattling. John tells her it’s him on the other side of the door and to open it and not to be afraid. She goes to open the door as the previews roll…

JOHN to MARLENA: Because this time it’s your fear that will keep you alive.

KATE to LUCAS: Someone else was in that cabin. She had help.

EJ to BILLIE: You think I’m the monster everyone says I am?
BILLIE: If you are, I will find out, and I don’t scare easily.

SAMI to KATE: Wow Kate, what do vows mean to a whore?

Philip and Willow strike a deal; Kayla tries to convince Steve to get psych help; Kate visits Roman with proof Sami didn't rescue Lucas and EJ takes off his gloves (so to speak).

PHILIP'S CANADIAN HOTEL ROOM
Philip is on the phone with the PI he hired to find Belle and Shawn. Willow arrives and he tells her to get lost, until she tells him she knows where Belle and Shawn are. He asks how she could know when his pricey PI doesn’t and she explains. After he kicked her out the night before she ended up staying at the same safe house that Shawn and Belle had been at. Merle thought she was a runaway and she got him talking and he told her what happened. She’ll sell the info to Philip. When he brings up how he caught her trying to steal from him, he asks about the 10K Victor gave her. She tells him she wired the money to her brother for his school fees and shows him the wire for proof, saying he’s a good kid and nothing like her. Feeling nauseous, she rushes to the bathroom to get sick. Afterward she tells him she needs the money for her baby. He isn’t even sure if she is pregnant and she offers to get a pregnancy test, but he tells her not to bother. He asks why he should pay for it, suggesting she just go to the john that knocked her up. Willow tells him it wasn’t a trick, it’s Shawn’s baby. Uncle Philip reacts differently to that news, surprised Shawn didn’t care she was pregnant. She tells him Shawn doesn’t know yet, but his mother (Hope) was a hypocrite. She was after Shawn to be a good father to Claire yet when she learned Willow was pregnant, told her to get lost. Philip says he doesn’t care either and Willow calls him a cold SOB and heads for the door, but Philip stops her. He realizes she might be of some help to him. He offers to put her up in a nice place to stay and pay for her medical and all other expenses. She says her baby isn’t going anywhere once it’s born and he assures her it won’t. She asks why he’d want it and he says Shawn’s got his and quid pro quo. He’ll arrange the details and the first one is get her back to Salem and get a pregnancy test done and an amnio to prove the baby is Shawn’s. (gee, what about YOUR baby that is about to be born to the surrogate Philip? Lost interest in having your biological child to just get revenge?) The plan leaves her well taken care of and she agrees. If she tries to steal from his or his father again, he’ll kick her out so fast her head will spin. She goes along with it until he refers to her as a whore, then goes to slap him. She makes him apologize or says he’ll never see his daughter again. Reluctantly he does so and then asks where his daughter is. She only knows Belle, Shawn and Claire are on a cruise ship somewhere in the middle of the ocean right now. Philip figures they have time and Willow figures she might even be showing by the time they find them.

SAMI’S APT.
Sami and Lucas are having breakfast. Lucas is all excited about Will’s basketball team, but Sami’s morose. He gets her to open up that she feels bad about not lifting that beam the day before, but he understands how adrenaline works and didn’t want her trying any more with her being pregnant. After breakfast Lucas is in no hurry to leave, but Sami tells him it’s his first day of work and shouldn’t be late. He’s worried that she’s still troubled and wants to give her some money for retail therapy, maybe something satiny for “daddy” later to enjoy (you horn toad you, LOL!). Sami has a different solution. She wants to call the show’s producer and ask him to edit out that scene and asks the operator for Extreme TV’s number. We return as Sami thanks the person on the phone before slamming it down. Lucas comes out dressed for work and asks if she got the footage cut, but she tells him how they had never heard of the producer or director and the show had been cancelled, angry that she had been set up by his mother once again. Lucas is frustrated that his mother lied to him yet again.

COP SHOP (office and cells)
EJ explains what happened at Chez Rouge to an officer when Kate strolls in. He’s touched she came down to see him, but learns she was there to see Roman. She won’t tell him why and he tries to smooch it out of her, reminds him they’re business partners and she knows she can’t trust him. She warns him not to push it or it would be a big mistake on his part.

Kate introduces a physics professor to Roman, pulls out the dvd of the footage shot with Sami trying to lift the beam. The professor studied it very carefully and doesn’t believe a woman that size could lift the beam even with an adrenaline surge. The professor continues with it’s obvious the woman in the video didn’t understand about leverage on the beam to support it as well. Kate paces like a cat that swallowed the canary as she listens and watches. The professor can’t believe someone who marched through the snow to and from the highway and sought help there could do such a feat as they surely were too exhausted. Kate thanks the professor and knows he has a plane to catch, so says he can leave. He shakes hands with them both and leaves as Kate smirks to Roman. Roman smiles knowingly and asks “Katie, Katie..what are you up to now?” He asks how she got that dvd and she tells him a producer friend of her asked to meet Sami and get the story for his show, so she obliged. She was there when they filmed it and she could lift it, but Sami couldn’t. It confirmed her suspicion that Sami was lying. Roman lets Kate know he can tell when she’s lying. Saying no wonder their marriage didn’t work, Kate admits she set the whole thing up to prove Sami was lying and didn’t save Lucas (ahh, but she DID Kate, in more ways than you really know!). Kate is angry that Sami was given the Good Samaritan medal (hmmm, I know she got a framed award myself, but don’t remember the medal) and she lied to Roman. Kate’s not going to let Sami get away with fraud. Kate tells him her theory that EJ helped Sami and she helped him get through the roadblocks. She’s lying about saving Lucas alone to avoid being arrested for aiding his escape. Kate knows she’s lying about something.

EJ finishes with the officer and calls Lucas at home. Lucas was just ready to leave for the office, but EJ asks him to call his attorney and they should both meet him at the police station. Lucas asks why, but EJ said he’ll explain when they get there. Lucas tells Sami where he’s going and that he’ll set his mother straight as well. He kisses Sami and patting her tummy, says he loves you guys (awww) and heads out.

Steve's in his cell and apologizes to Kayla, but she’s not hearing it. She gives him the tough love lecture, angry that he didn’t heed her advice to seek psychiatric help before this happened. She demands he get it now by admitting himself to the psych ward at Salem U. Hospital. Steve refuses to allow their “cranial cowboys” LOL, to mess with him. Kayla folds her arms (uh oh) saying he doesn’t have a choice. It’s either that or rot in jail. Steve says he’s rather stay in jail than commit himself to the house that nutjob built and making potholders, LOL. He says EJ had it coming, but she’s worried the next person might not, who knows, it might be her. Steve turns and swears he’d never hurt her, crushed she’d think so. She honestly tells him she can’t trust him to that and begs him to do as she asks. Benjy walks in the revolving door to the cell area and signs he had read about what had happened and came to see if Steve was okay. Steve asks Kayla to give them some time alone. Steve tells Benjy all that’s going on with him in his head (sounds, noises, memories of someone torturing him, etc.) and tells “Benjy Monkey” that he thinks it all started because of him. Benjy shakes his head no, but his facial expression says differently. A guard walks by and steps away. Steve tells Benji it started the night they went out to dinner. Benjy found him at the hospital later and put something in his hand, kissed him on both cheeks and ran. Steve grabs Benjy’s shirt and pulls him to the cell. He wants answers because he’s dying in there and might lose Kayla. Benjy removes Steve’s hand from his shirt so he can sign his response. He tells Steve he gave him the Devil Tarot card on Stefano’s orders. He was told to hook up with Steve and Kayla and give him that card when told. Steve wished Benjy had come to him earlier and he would have kept him safe, but Benjy signs no one is safe from Stefano, Steve should know that. Benjy signs he brought his wife to dinner that night to show Steve what he had at stake. Steve asks about his own family and what was at stake. Benjy knew there would be trouble when he gave him the card, but doesn’t know what kind. Kayla rushes in and tells Steve to stop it, asking if he hasn’t caused enough damage. Steve walks away and Benjy signs to Kayla. She tells him she loves him too and he leaves. Kayla repeats what Benjy signed to her, that he’s sorry for his part in all of this and hopes Steve and Kayla will forgive him one day. Steve fills her in on what Benjy told him, that Stefano had Benjy deliver the Devil Tarot card to him. Kayla’s response..”oh God.” Steve says Benjy did this, he betrayed them. He wishes he could help Benjy and his family, but Kayla says he needs to worry about himself now. Steve wonders what he’s gotten into. Kayla begs him to reconsider hypnosis and promises to be there with him every step of the way and she loves him. She asks him to do it for her, for them. Both are in tears and he turns and says he’ll commit himself after the arraignment.

Benjy tries to walk past EJ, but he stops him. He asks if Benjy told Steve anything. Benjy finally signs that he only told Steve that Stefano ordered him to give him the tarot card, but that’s it. (guess EJ reads sign language too) EJ speaks and signs back to Benjy, warns him that he has his eye on him and if he betrays him or his family, it will be the last thing he ever does, lightly slapping Benjy on the face and saying “comprende”?

BACK AT SAMI’S
She tries calling Kate and Roman calls at the same time. He orders her to come down to the station to tell him more about the night she saved Lucas and she tells him Kate’s just trying to start trouble.

Lucas and the lawyer arrive and EJ tells the lawyer he wants to file charges against both Steve AND Kayla. Kayla for negligence being she’s a doctor and didn’t see that Steve got help sooner. Putting her arm around Lucas’s shoulder, he warns him not to question the boss if he wants to continue his job with Mythic. EJ tells his lawyer he’s tired of being crossed in this city and now anytime someone does, they’re going to get exactly what they deserve…as Lucas listens concerned…

As the previews roll…

MARLENA is sitting next to John (who’s still in the coma and on a respirator), but we hear his voice saying “I’ve got to tell you what EJ said the night of the shooting”.

EJ finds Billie trying to get into her apartment and says “Do I hear the sound of a damsel in distress?”

KAYLA to STEVE (his prison suit is red) as she holds his hand through cell door: That is what you’re afraid of, isn’t it, that you might hurt me.”

SAMI is in Kate’s empty office crying and angry. She says “you want to know my secrets Kate? Then I’m going to find out yours”, and starts going through Kate’s files.

MARLENA to the doctors: “I don’t care about the arrangements. My husband is staying right here and that’s my final word.”

Summary: I don’t know what is going on my days, but I had problems yet again today. The show had several false starts and ended up starting about 20 minutes late, therefore, my tape cut off before the show ended. It didn’t really look like that great of a show…more with Belle, Shawn & Co….Kate and Sami begin filming of her story and Kate gets a surprise…Steve and Kayla have a run-in with EJ.

At Chez Rouge…
Steve and Kayla are there as she is asking him if he had talked with Benji yet. Steve sees EJ walk in and calls Bo to find out what is going on. He finds out that EJ was arrested but they had to release him. Steve is bound and determined to go and talk to him, even though Kayla tries to stop him. He approaches him (calling him “squire crumpets”) as Kayla rushes over. EJ compliments Kayla and Steve tells him to not even LOOK at her. Steve demands to know what he made Benji do and that all the episodes started that night. As EJ is denying everything, he is tapping his knife on the table as it begins to have an effect on Steve. EJ says that Steve is sick and that there is nothing he can do. The tapping continues as Steve flips out as Steve grabs the knife and gets EJ in a choke hold…as everyone looks on.

At the Cabin…
Sami and Lucas arrive to film the documentary. Inside, Kate is with the director and crew, setting up for the shoot. They get ready to start filming as Sami sits on the sofa and tells the story (they plan on using some of it as voice over). Then they want her to re-enact the lifting of the beam (they have a dummy in place as Lucas). Lucas gets a call and goes outside to take it as Sami gets to the part about the roof collapsing and Lucas getting trapped. She explains how she went to the road for help but then came back and rescued him. They ask her to show them how she did it (they assure her that THIS beam they are using weighs MUCH less than the other one …about ½ the weight. She struggles with it but can’t budge it. As she is grunting and groaning, Lucas comes in and sees her and makes her stop…saying she will hurt the baby…as Kate’s jaw drops to the floor. She is upset that they didn’t tell her as they explain they were waiting. She says she wants to make a new start with Sami and be a part of the baby’s life (being as she missed Will’s childhood because of her feud with Sami). She offers her congratulations and then calls the crew back in (they were outside shooting exteriors). They shoot Kate moving the beam and say they will edit it to look like it is Sami. She tells the crew they got everything they need.

At the Flop House…
Philip is beating and banging on the door for Belle and Claire. He breaks open the door and goes in, hearing a baby crying. He sees someone holding a baby and goes over demanding Claire…but it isn’t Belle…it’s Stacy. He tells her to get her baby and get out. He looks for Belle as she steps out holding her baby. But outside, we see Chelsea and Stacy making an exchange…Stacy had Claire and took her out right in front of Philip. She hands her over to Chelsea and she takes off. Inside, Philip demands Claire as Belle hands her over…he unwraps her to find a baby doll. He is furious with her and makes threats. She asks what is he going to do…kill her? He tells her he wants to see her suffer for all she has done to him. He rants at her about leaving him after she lost the other baby and she points out that he didn’t care…he wanted to abort that baby. He calls her a liar and numerous other names as they argue. She says that he just wants his revenge on Shawn and he is yelling at her to just shut up. She says that she will never let him see Claire again and he spits that he is going to find Claire and storms out.

Philip had sent Willow back to the hotel while he went to hunt Belle/Claire. She wasn't too thrilled about that as she puts one hand on her stomach and says that no one treats her that way and Philip is going to find that out the hard way. She picks up his watch and says the baby's first lesson in life is to get payment up front.

At the Police Station...
At the jail, Nick begs them to let Shawn go and the cop tells them that Philip told them there was a warrant out for kidnapping. Nick insists they call Salem PD and talk to Roman Brady and he can clear it up. After the cops leaves, Shawn tells him he doesn’t think that was a good idea, but Nick explains that he talked with Mickey and he says that was the thing to do. The cop comes back and says he is free to go…there is no kidnapping warrant out for him, just some custody violation. Shawn is thanking Nick for all his help as Nick says it was all Chelsea…he was just along for the ride. He is praising her as she walks up with Claire. She walks in and tells Nick “we did it” and he says no, she did. Shawn thanks Chelsea and apologizes for the way he has treated her. He says he guesses they are a lot alike…must get it from their dad. He notices Belle isn’t there as Chelsea explains she stayed behind to distract Philip. Later, outside on the street, they are joined by Merle who tells them that they missed the freighter, but he has talked with someone and maybe can get them stowed away on a cruise ship…only thing is it is going to take a lot more money. Merle also told them he would get them new passports (3) so would need money for that in addition to the passage money. Nick tells them he has an idea and rushes off as they all plan on meeting up later at some diner. Shawn is holding Claire (so cute how she is looking at him calling him “da-da”). He is telling her that Mommy will be there soon…

And sorry, that is where the tape cut off on me. I’m not sure how much was left, but it was past the half-way point of the show. My best guess is that there was about 15-20 minutes left.

Nick returns with the money, saying don't ask, he got it. Shawn thanks them both, telling Chelsea he will never forget what she did. Both say their goodbyes to Nick & Chelsea....and leave. Chelsea asks Nick what time is it....and he says, huh? She noticed that his watch was gone, the very expensive one his parents gave him when he graduated. He admits he sold it, saying you can always get another watch, but not another child.

Another slow show...Nick tries to help Shawn while Chelsea visits with Belle as Philip makes threats. Sami gets an offer to sell her rescue story to tv while EJ turns cartwheels trying to get Lucas to work for him.

LUNCH WITH KATE
Kate builds up and introduces Sami to two men (producer and director) from HEROES AMONG US as her son’s savior. She tells her recollection of what happened and the two men applaud her afterward. They ponder if a similar story had aired recently and one checks to learn it’s been a year. They’re encouraged and want Sami to show them the actual cabin where she rescued Lucas. Later they tell Sami payroll will be contacting her as they’ll need to buy the rights to her story (wouldn’t that be the “legal department”) and she’ll make some money from this. Sami sincerely thanks Kate for her help. Later while Kate and Sami are alone (Kate picks up the bill), she and Sami talk and Sami thanks her for her help and giving her a second chance. Perhaps they’re more alike then they realize. Lucas keeps giving each of them second chances too. Kate appears to be humbled and sincere (would be nice if it were true) agreeing. Sami leaves after hugging Kate and telling her she’s going to go tell Lucas that they made peace. As soon as Sami walks out, Kate beckons back the supposed two tv guys to her table. She gives them ½ the money up front and we learn they’re really Private Investigators. Saying it’s none of their business, they ask why she’s so upset with Sami. She agrees it’s none of their business and privately says it’s because Sami’s a lying skank and dug her nails into her son, that’s why.

AT THE APARTMENT
Lucas and EJ talk about Mythic’s publicity and how EJ wants Lucas to work for him.. EJ seems to feel they’ll steer the publicity away from his indictment and more into the company. EJ hands Lucas his contract, but Lucas admits having decided not to work for him. EJ chides him if he inherited some money and Lucas is honest that he doesn’t like EJ. All he wants is him out of their life and apartment building. EJ gives his word he won’t go after Sami and Lucas flat out calls him a liar. EJ asks Lucas if he believes Sami when she tells him there’s nothing going on between them. EJ denies shooting John and denies being anything like his father Stefano. Will returns home and EJ leaves. Will finds out why EJ was there and mentions they need the money with a baby on the way. Lucas reminds Will that’s not public knowledge and goes to make sure EJ isn’t eavesdropping (he’s probably got a bug planted under a chair). EJ walks in carrying a Playstation 3 asking Will if he could use one. Will says yeah, but reflects on it and says he’d ask his father for one if he really needed one though. Lucas nods appreciatively. EJ says it was a gift from a client and says it was only gathering dust in the closet. He tosses it in the trash which upsets Will, LOL. Lucas finally tells Will he can have it if he wants and Will is thrilled, grabbing the bag and heading for his room. Sami returns home excited about her lunch with Kate until she sees EJ when she walks in. He leaves and Sami’s uncomfortable. She tells Lucas about the good lunch and his mother’s help in telling the producers of the tv show about her saving his life and they’re going to get paid for it. He’s happy as they’ll need the money being he can’t work for EJ, telling her about the comment EJ made about a baby.

EJ walks in later (commenting they really should lock the door) and invites all 3 of them to the company retreat in Manhattan the next week. He makes a comment about the kid can come and Sami’s taken back until he clarifies he meant Will (obviously he wasn’t).

CANADA
An agitated Belle tells Chelsea and Nick that she has to be on that ship, NOW. She knows Philip is on his way despite their saying otherwise. Chelsea tells Belle they’re not going to let Philip take their daughter away. Belle can’t stop crying and Chelsea calmly tells Nick to go get her some hot tea. Belle remembers that what John use to get her when she was upset. Chelsea knows how Belle feels and Belle remembers what happened to the Benson’s and realizes she does. Nick watches Chelsea comfort Belle by telling her who all is praying for her. He confirms how many people are pulling for them and want to help. Merle returns telling them how much the bail is ($8,600) and a pretty boy and spacey blonde chick were visiting Shawn. Belle freaks, knowing they’ve found them. They ask Merle if he can keep Philip out, but he tells them he stays out of domestic disputes and walks away. Chelsea says she’ll keep him out and Nick is astounded, claiming she’s not a heavyweight, more of a teacup poodle (LOL). He’ll go get Shawn out of jail. Another girl there tells Belle she’s lucky to have family looking out for her and Chelsea reiterates they are family (what she’s always wanted) and everything will be okay. Belle tells her that she was the last person she’d expect to ride to their rescue and knows Shawn will be grateful too. Chelsea hopes so. She tells Belle to pack up as they’ll need to leave as soon as Nick and Shawn return, so Belle hands Claire to Chelsea. Claire is happy to eat her crackers.

Shawn figures he was just arrested for being drunk, but is read the full list of charges. Surprised, he promises to get the money for his bail, but someone speaks up saying not to believe that as Philip and Willow gloat on the other side of the bars. Merle arrives to talk to the cop, asking about the American kid. He tells Merle there’s $8,600 in bail. Philip offers to bail Shawn out if he tells him where his family is. Philip starts losing it through the bars as the two exchange nasties. Shawn tells him Belle and Claire left on a bus, but Philip knows otherwise. The usual angry banter and Philip gives Shawn one last chance to get out of jail. Nope. Willow takes her turn at being smug and Shawn shoots her down by asking if she ever looks in the mirror and wonders what she’d do for a dollar. She holds her stomach in response. Philip shows the court order to the cop and wants to check out the shelter before Shawn gets out. Later Philip tells Shawn he’s going to get Claire and there’s nothing he can do about it. He tells Willow to go back to the hotel and pack their stuff up. She doesn’t feel he should do the cops work, but he says they won’t know unless she tells them. Nick hides when he sees someone (Philip) and joins Shawn when he’s alone. He tells them Kayla and Steve sent $10K and it will cover his bail. Shawn accepts that but worried about Belle and not having enough money for the ship then..but when Nick tells him Chelsea brought the money, complains about that too. Nick explains she put herself on the line for him and he’s only along for the ride. They both call for “Pete” the guard, worried Philip will get to Belle before they do. Pete tells them Philip is charging Shawn with kidnapping.

Back at the shelter Belle is busily packing (they didn’t have that much stuff)..and says they need to stock up on diapers and food. She asks Chelsea to go buy Stacy’s (another gal at the shelter) daughter some food and a snowsuit with the money she brought. Chelsea realizes how selfish and shallow she’s been only wanting to learn who her mother’s boyfriend was and a mystery man on the internet’s name. She wants to be more like Belle, saying everyone loves her. Belle is taken back by that considering she’s on the run and has about $5 to her name, but Chelsea is having a light bulb moment on life. Claire is absolutely adorable how she touches Chelsea’s face when she’s crying. Philip arrives and pounds on the door, insisting she open up.

Philip to Belle: You think this is about Shawn? There’s only one person that I want to see suffer for the hell I’ve been through..and that’s you Belle.

Chelsea to Nick (with Shawn, Belle and Claire there): We did it.
Nick: No, you did it. As Chelsea smiles proudly.

Sami’s bending over pulling on something and Lucas tells her to stop it, she’ll hurt the baby.
Kate asks: “You’re pregnant?”
