Summary: Looks like we got another wish – as there are a lot of Salemites with work issues. Lots of emotional moments at the hospital as Kayla takes a turn for the worse… I tried to organize by setting, as it was hard to keep it straight otherwise!



Chez Rouge
Willow is at work when Shawn comes in and she asks to take him to lunch. He tells her that he ate with his dad, but will keep her company. He tells her about how the two of them actually talked and his dad offered to call Max and try to get his job back. Shawn explains to Willow, who is happy for him, that it isn’t a done deal yet. Just because his dad offered to talk to Max doesn’t mean that he’ll get the job back. Willow is sure that since Max is family and knows he’s the best mechanic, he will definitely give him a second chance. She talks him into going in and apologizing to Max in person.



Max’s Garage
Frankie is talking to Max, who is busy working on a car. He tells him that Steve and Kayla got the medication, but now they have to wait and see if it works. Max thinks it was good that Frankie was in town to call his guy at the FDA. Max still thinks it was right, since this is home. Frankie disagrees and states he is moving back to DC. Max tries to guilt trip him about leaving his family. Frankie says that he is staying until Kayla is better. Max wants five minutes alone with the guy that did this to them, and almost got him and Stephanie killed. Mimi walks up asking if the police are any closer to finding out who did it, but Max can only hope so, before he hurts anybody else he cares about.

Mimi offers to help Max and his family in any way. Frankie wants to know why she stopped by, but Max tells him that he was working on her car. He explains what he did and how she needs to get an oil change every 3,000 miles (hmmmm… and I’m overdue myself….). Frankie asks if Abby is in and abruptly leaves. Mimi thinks he is mad at her over Shawn, but Max assures her that Frankie has major trust issues since Jen left and broke his heart. He tells her not to take it personally. Mimi tells him that she can’t pay until she gets another job. The job at Chez Rouge isn’t bad, when Willow isn’t around, but the tips aren’t as good as she expected. She tells him about filling out applications for a few office jobs, but is sure with her “two seconds of accounting” experience at Salem U, that they filed them in the old circular file. Max offers her a job at the garage. Mimi thinks it is charity, but Max vows that Abby is swamped and needs part-time help doing the books so that he doesn’t get audited. Mimi ends up accepting. Frankie interrupts the conversation with news that Steve is awake, but Kayla is getting worse.

Frankie asks Abby why Max is so chummy with Mimi after what she did to Shawn. He tells that they are Bradys and need to stick together, now more than ever. Abby tells him that Max wouldn’t turn his back on his family. Frankie wants to know why Max is taking Mimi’s side. Abby tells him that Shawn was a jerk, and Max is a caring guy. Frankie thinks she has a crush on him, but she says he is just her friend, as he snickers.
Abby gives Mimi the books and wishes her luck, as Max is very disorganized with his paperwork. Mimi is thankful that anyone is talking to her, let alone giving her a chance. They are interrupted by giggling.

Willow stays outside and lets Shawn go in alone to face Max. Abby comes out and tells Shawn that Max went to the hospital. He leaves a message with Abby to tell Max he is sorry about what happened as Mimi comes out with a question for Abby. Shawn ignores her and goes to leave. Shawn wants to know what she is doing there, so she tells him. This sets Shawn off. He warns Abby not to trust her and turns to storm out. Willow comes in to investigate the noise and ends up pulling Shawn out, as Mimi yells at her to tell him to stop acting like a jackass.

Max tells Abby and Mimi about Bo’s request. The girls tell him about Shawn’s visit and the fallout. Mimi offers to step aside so he can hire Shawn back. Max doesn’t think that Shawn has changed as much as Bo promised and doesn’t want to hire him back. Mimi begs him to let Shawn have the job, she will deal with it.

Shawn and Willow have arrived back at Chez Rouge, where Shawn rants to her about how his uncle slapped him in the face by hiring Mimi. He is convinced that Max will never fire her or hire him. Willow tells him to go ask EJ for a job.

Kate and EJ are together, as she feels the need to discuss Stephanie Johnson, but he has other ideas. They get interrupted by a phone call from Shawn asking EJ for a job. He may be able to help, and sets up a talk.


Back Alley
EJ tells Patrick to do his civic duty and pick up the pop can he kicked, and clean up the streets. Patrick offers to start with him. Patrick wants to know why he’s there if they’re not supposed to meet in person. EJ tells him that the police are on to them. Patrick wants to know what to do. EJ tells him to stay calm and keep his head. EJ tells them about Bo talking to Sami about the envelope. From now on, they will communicate via courier and sealed note. Patrick will respond by note, resealed in the envelope. They then go on to discuss who can be trusted as their courier. EJ tells him to let him worry about it. Bo then tells Patrick that his mission, and he has no choice but to accept it, is to use Chelsea to keep tabs on her father. Patrick is not happy, but EJ doesn’t care (and says so) and tells him to get it done.


Hospital
Bo is restless staring through the window as his mother holds on to him on one side, and PopShawn on the other. He wants to know what is taking so long. Billie and Hope arrive as Bo asks Hope if that was her errand. The doctor comes out and tells them that both are responding positively – fevers are down, both are responding to stimuli, but both are still unconscious. He tells them not to get their hopes up too high – it could still go either way. Billie thinks she knows which way that is, as Steve starts to wake up, earning an exclamation from Caroline. Steve moves around, while a guy in a haz-mat suit checks on Kayla. The doctor, in shock, rushes in. Bo talks to Steve through an intercom and asks if he knows what happened, and goes on to tell him. He looks toward the window, as Billie sadly smiles at him. Bo lets Billie take over the intercom. The doctor comes back out to talk to the family, who go into the corridor and let Billie stay. Steve gets up from the bed and goes over to check on Kayla, before going to the window, calling for Stephanie, asking if she is safe. Billie makes him use the intercom, and promises she is. He can’t believe that she is the first person he sees when he woke up, and thanks her. Billie was afraid they were going to lose him before they ever had a chance. He vows that she won’t lose him, but even if he doesn’t make it, he has the chance to tell her how much she means to him. All those years he doesn’t remember, she is the only person that doesn’t hate him for it. She knows how he feels, but she was afraid to say it because he would remember Kayla and go back to her, leaving Billie with a broken heart again. She loves him for who he is now, not who he used to be.

The doctor can’t tell them why Steve is recovering, while Kayla appears to be worsening. He thinks that although the circumstances are the same, they are reacting differently. He wants to increase the dosage, which will also increase the risk. Her parents insist that he do it. Max wants to know what the doctors are going to do now. Caroline has faith that Kayla will survive. Frankie wants to know if anyone has updated Stephanie, so he and Hope go to tell her, with Shawn and Caroline behind them, as Bo wants to talk to Max.


Max sticks up for his decision regarding Shawn’s firing. Bo tells him about Belle’s little ultimatum and how Shawn wants to put his life back together for his daughter. Max still sticks up for Mimi, even though he agrees that Shawn is a good mechanic. Max tells Bo about hiring Mimi, and since he doesn’t want his garage to be a war zone, Shawn will have to find a way to get along with Mimi if he wants his job back. It sounds fair to Bo, who promises to talk to Shawn.

The family comes back, upset about leaving Stephanie, but Frankie stayed with her to comfort her. Billie doesn’t understand why she would be upset, since Steve is going to be fine. Hope reminds her about Kayla. Billie asks the same question the rest did – if it worked for Steve, why not for Kayla? Hope tells her that Dr. Myers doesn’t know. Hope, Billie and Steve all look at her.


Upstairs at the Hospital
Kate visits with Stephanie, who apologizes for wrecking the car. Kate tells her that she isn’t the one at fault. Due to the person targeting her family, Kate feels that Stephanie is in danger and should stay out of the public eye for a while. Stephanie is upset since racing is her life, besides she has contracts. Kate reaches for her paperwork that releases Stephanie from her contractual obligations, as Chelsea steps into the room and asks if they’re dumping her. Kate admonishes Chelsea for not knocking first. Chelsea tries to stick up for Stephanie, thinking that Kate is dumping her for PR reasons. Kate warns her that a lunatic is out to hurt Stephanie’s family, and since Chelsea’s father is a Brady, she should keep a low profile as well. Kate tells Stephanie to get a lawyer and look over the papers, then has her sign them (shouldn’t the lawyer come before the signature?) Stephanie signs and then Kate and Chelsea leave so Stephanie can get some rest.

Chelsea goes on about how she gloated at first over the accident, since Stephanie never should have gone after a guy who was already taken, even though they should be on the same side since they both want their parents back together. Kate doesn’t care (and neither do I, frankly!) and chastises Chelsea for challenging her in front of Stephanie. Chelsea apologizes, but Kate cuts her off. Chelsea tells her that sometimes things pop out of her mouth before she has a chance to think. They go on to discuss her little incident and Kate wishes she could have talked to her first – she would have warned her it wouldn’t work. Kate tells her that she has tried very hard for a long time, but even she has come to accept that they won’t ever get back together. Chelsea feels betrayed, since Kate was supposed to be the only one on her side. She goes on to tell her how hard she has had it, and how everyone keeps telling her how rotten a job they did. She feels like she doesn’t belong. She just wants to be accepted. Her parents have to love each other, or no one will ever love her. Kate gives her a hug.


Patrick’s house
At home, she is doing her nails and talking on the phone about her hours at the hospital. Patrick comes in and runs down Bo, while Chelsea sticks up for him. Patrick tells her that she is more like him than she knows. He tells her that she needs to get closer to him and spend time with him. She asks if he wants to spy on her own father. She doesn’t want to do it, since she needs to build a relationship with her father, even if he loves Shawn more. She can’t help him by spying on Bo. She is still going to help him, but her way.


More Hospital
Dr. Myers gives Kayla the increased medication as everyone watches on, praying that it was the right decision and it will work. Stephanie comes in wondering where the miracle is. Everyone moves aside so that she can see her dad and she goes rushing to the window. He promises that they will both get better. She tells him how much she needs them both. Steve promises her that her mom will pull through just like he did. “The big dude” wouldn’t have brought them all back together for nothing. She wants to believe, but Kayla starts seizing and they all panic. She needs to be shocked as Stephanie bawls and everyone watches on in horror. Fade on Steve, with Billie in the background.

It’s Halloween in Salem, but no parties or costumes (okay..there are some decorations at the pub, haha). Mimi packs up the loft as Bonnie gives her advice..but Mimi seeks Caroline’s wisdom instead (wise choice!); Belle finds Shawn at Willow’s and gives him ground rules to being with Claire…he seeks Bo’s advice (also wise); Billie and Chelsea speak openly on what they’re feeling; Hope visits Bo at the hospital and also shows the right stuff as she encourages Billie to join their vigil outside Kayla and Steve’s room.


A SURPRISE VISITOR….
Belle makes a surprise morning call to Willow at the Y. Willow denies Shawn is staying there, despite what Max told Belle, but Belle inherited her parents investigative genes and spots Shawn’s boxers on the bed and knows better. Willow said they’re hers and even puts them on, saying not everyone is into frilly. She tries to get rid of Belle, but not before Shawn pops out wearing only a towel (seems to be a bad habit of Salemites). Belle calmly tells him she’s thought it over and he and Claire deserve to be in each other’s lives, but there are some conditions. As he dresses (and Willow stays quiet), she tells him he needs to act responsibly and to get a job and a decent place to live where he can take Claire. He needs to prove he can take care of himself before he can take care of their daughter. She leaves, glaring at Willow.

After seeing how much apartments rent for, Shawn examines the job want ads and crosses off ads he’s not qualified for (about time Salem’s youth realizes they can’t be executives on a high school degree!). Willow asks what happened to his rebel James Dean persona, and calls him a wimp. Stating James Dean didn’t have a kid and yeah, Shawn agrees being a wimp for Claire. Willow calls him on being a wimp for Claire’s mother too, but he doesn’t comment on that as he goes to leave. She reminds him that this is the yWca and puts a scarf, sunglasses and shawl over him (oh yeah, that’ll fool them, haha)..as he kisses her goodbye and leaves.

THE LOFT
Mimi packs up the loft as Bonnie talks garage sale for some of their belongings, LOL. Bonnie tells Mimi she’s not giving up on Shawn, unlike Mimi. Mimi says she’s not going to continue lying and cheating. Bonnie hands her pictures to keep her “eye on the prize” with. Next to the picture of Shawn and Mimi is one of Caroline and Shawn Sr. Mimi wonders how they stayed together all these years and Bonnie figures it must be the hot sex (LOL)….


BRADY PUB
Mimi arrives to find Caroline polishing up the beer mugs at the bar. She accepts responsibility for what happened between her and Shawn and asks Caroline how her marriage has lasted all these years. Caroline admits they’ve had their problems along the way (boy howdy, have they), but holding the picture of Shawn and Caroline, says she wants this as Caroline turns the picture to see it. Caroline pours Mimi and herself some coffee (decaf, LOL) as Mimi wants the secret to their long marriage. Caroline says telling the truth is hard, but a lot less scary than telling a lie. Mimi tells Caroline about having to lie in her childhood to keep their family together. Caroline understands, but says now she doesn’t have to. Later, Caroline had gotten the call about the new antidote and rushes up to tell Pop Shawn after telling Mimi. Mimi said it’ll be okay, you’ve got your family….Caroline agrees…as long as she’s got her family, she can get though anything.

HOSPITAL
We find Bo on the hospital pay phone updating Billie (who’s at home) on the new antidote they’re hoping to get and save Kayla and Steve with. She offers to help if they need anything and he suggests she come to the hospital. Billie doesn’t want to make anyone uncomfortable and while he poo poos that idea..she lists off who that might be…including Hope, his parents and Stephanie. He says Steph’s in her room and his parents clarified their feelings, and he said Hope wouldn’t mind. She asks if HOPE said that and when he replies…”not exactly”, she tells him to please keep her updated. She tells Chelsea what’s up (what’s with the skimpy outfit Chelsea..it’s WINTER?) Chelsea tells her mom to go to the hospital…Billie is surprised that Chelsea suggested that…until Chelsea adds she needs to be there for “dad”. Billie rants at Chelsea that she and Bo are OVER and Chelsea has to stop her trying to get them back together. Chelsea insists she DESERVES a family and is determined to get one. She continues her whining about wanting to be a family, they could be Brady’s and part of the bunch (my word, not hers). Chelsea disses Steve, saying he’s not ½ the man her dad is. Billie screams THAT’S ENOUGH and warns Chelsea if she keeps pushing her and her father together, SHE will be on the outside. Moments later Chelsea’s got her coat on (mom and daughter sure like those long dangly earrings, don’t they?) Billie knows that Chelsea wants to feel close to her dad, which she admits to. Billie tells her that she and Bo are not tied because of her (Billie). Chelsea walks back inside and takes off her coat. Billie lays it out for Chelsea. Bo’s sister and best friend are fighting for their lives and he’s trying to save them. The best thing Chelsea could do is to just BE THERE for her father.

Hope joins Bo at the window of Kayla and Steve’s room. He vows to bury (literally) the bastard who did this. Hope calmly states that Abe verified Patrick’s alibi and he wasn’t anywhere near the hospital when this happened. Bo sluffs that off, until Hope says SHE was Patrick’s alibi. Bo figures Patrick planned his alibi and she explains they were at lunch together. He tells her that he has a lead on Patrick’s accomplice. Hope asks why Billie’s not there and he tells her why (see above). Hope says what happened with Billie is history and what will be, will be. Looking her in the eye Bo agrees, saying when people are meant to be together, they will. The warm moment ends when Chelsea pops through the swinging door with a “hi dad”. Hope remembers an errand and leaves. Without giving Chelsea a chance to say why she’s there, he tells her he’s not in the mood for fun and games right now. A little hurt, she tells him she’s there for him and asks if there’s anything she can do. They talk about Kayla and Steve’s role in his life and how hard it is to lose someone you love. She relates, referring to her parents. She tries to encourage him, admits she’s been praying and says things will be different this time, saying God’s not use to hearing her voice and listening. Bo hugs her and Shawn enters the room, saying he needs to talk to Bo. Bo thanks Chelsea and feeling a little dissed, watches Bo put his arm around Shawn and step aside chatting.

Shawn and Bo sip coffee as Shawn whines about doing as well as can be expected after losing his wife, job and daughter. Bo surprises Shawn by knowing exactly what Belle told Shawn about being responsible, which blows him away. He cites that’s the mom rule from the stone age. Shawn whines some more about prices of apartments and can’t find a job as Bo offers to let him stay with him (isn’t he staying at the pub after letting Shawn use the Fancy Face?) Shawn doesn’t think that will work for Belle (what..free babysitting 24/7 at the pub, LOL) Bo listens as Shawn blames everyone but himself for what’s happening. He finally says a relationship is not over just from a bump in the road. He mentions a couple of years ago when there was one with Belle and now he’s calling it quits with Mimi over another. Shawn rants about losing his job. He tells Shawn he’s got to take responsibility and grow up to be an adult. Love isn’t perfect and needs work. Sometimes one has to forgive when it’s worth it (Shawn mentions mom and Bo nods). Bo offers to call Max and ask him to rehire Shawn. Shawn thanks his dad, promising not to let him/Claire down. The two hug as Chelsea watches through the door window.

BACK AT THE Y
Belle returns after Shawn leaves to warn Willow to stay away from Shawn (Willow asks if Belle’s late for her meeting at the Coven). Willow calls Princess Belle on her true objective, to have Shawn as well as Claire. Willow laughs saying having sex is being free to be yourself, but she’s not into being tied down. Belle leaves ( as Willow opens the door, saying being free is another way of saying no one gives a damn about you).

BACK AT BILLIE’S
Hope visits Billie and tells her she’s not there to update her about Steve, but says Billie should be at the hospital herself and it won’t bother her if she does. She encourages Billie to go to the hospital, feeling it’s what Steve needs. A nice chat with the ladies. Bo calls to say the antidote just arrived and they’re about to give it to Kayla and Steve. After hanging up (she didn’t mention Hope’s being there), she fills Hope in. Hope asks who should drive, her or Billie.

Bo watches through the glass as Kayla and Steve’s IV’s are injected with the antidote as the previews roll….

STEPHANIE to the family: I thought this was suppose to be a miracle drug, but I don’t see any miracles happening.

MAX to FRANKIE: This is home, man.
FRANKIE: No it’s not, I’m going back to DC

PATRICK to EJ: Why am I here?
EJ: I thought you should know something. The police are onto us.

CHELSEA to PATRICK: Are you saying that you want me to spy on my own father?
Patrick gives her a spooky stare….as the credits roll…..

Summary: Shawn and Belle argue over Claire…EJ runs to Kate to give her an update (and more)…Bo pays a visit to Sami…Lexie pitches in to try and save Steve and Kayla, to which the Bradys are grateful.


At the Penthouse…Shawn shows up and hears Claire crying inside. Belle is struggling with her and trying to put her to bed (Poor kid is probably crying because her headband is too tight ;-) She puts her down and opens the door, asking Shawn what he wants and ends up slamming the door in his face. He won’t leave and keeps knocking on the door. She tells him he can’t see Claire and proceeds to chew him out for all of his recent misdeeds, saying he just isn’t the ideal father figure. He says she is just mad because of Willow, which she denies. She says she only cares about Claire…she just got her to sleep and is NOT going to wake her up just because he suddenly feels like being a father. Right on cue, Claire starts crying again which pisses Belle off even more and will not let him come in. They argue as he says when he walked away from them, he was only trying to what was best for everyone. She says she doesn’t even recognize him anymore and he says he has missed a whole year of Claire’s life already and he doesn’t intend to miss anymore. She asks him to leave or she will call the cops. Shawn finally says he will leave, but he is calling a lawyer and if he has to, he will sue her for full custody. With that, he storms off, giving her something to think about.

At the Pub…Caroline, Roman and Frankie are standing around wringing their hands, worried about Kayla and Steve’s condition. Lexie and Abe are outside, but she says she can’t go in and face the Bradys but he is trying to convince her. John and Bo are in a booth speculating about the Lockhart / EJ Wells connection. Bo talks about the envelope that Sami had brought in a few weeks ago and how EJ’s prints were on it. He thinks they need to go talk to Sami and find out what was in the envelope and what she knows. Roman overhears this and asks “What da hell”…Sami has done now? Bo assures him that she isn’t in trouble, they just want to talk to her about EJ (and explain about the connection to Patrick). Roman reminds Bo that he is suspended but he tells him that Abe gave him the okay. Outside, Abe is still trying to convince Lexie to go inside, telling her that she made a mistake and needs to make amends…and needs to begin that by facing the Bradys. He promises to be by her side. They finally go inside but are greeted with silence and cold stares from everyone. Abe explains that Lexie had an idea that could maybe help Steve and Kayla. Roman tells them thanks, but not thanks, but Caroline is the first to hold out the olive branch, telling them that they have ALL made mistakes and she and Abe will always be welcome there and Frankie stops them from leaving. Caroline reminds everyone that her grand daughter (Sami) played a MAJOR role in what happened and put Lexie in a terrible position. Roman admits it’s true and agrees that Steve and Kayla are what is important now and tells Lexie to tell them what she knows. She tells them about a study she read about concerning toxins, so she and Frankie go to check the internet for more details. Bo is ready for him and John to go see Sami, but John thinks that Bo should go alone, considering Sami’s feelings toward him. Bo agrees and heads out. John asks Abe what that is about as John explains to him. Lexie finds what she was looking for on the internet and how it may help Steve and Kayla. She also explains that it is just a trial drug and not FDA approved, but gives them a name and number to call. Roman thanks her for her help as Caroline hugs her. Lexie is just glad she could help. They rush off to the hospital as Abe tells Lexie how proud he is of her. She tells him that she would have never been able to come in if not for him and he says he will stand by her. She promises she will never give him reason to mistrust her again.

At Sami’s…Lucas tells her to make her decision…him and Will or EJ. She tells EJ that she can’t choose him over Will and Lucas. He tries to convince her to turn her back on them, pointing out that they will only let her down…again…and he is sick of playing second fiddle to them. As he leaves, she asks him to please understand…Will means everything to her. Will asks if that’s true and she says do you really have to ask? She tells Will she knows that she has made LOTS of mistakes, but she loves him more than anything in the world. EJ lashes out at them so Sami asks him to leave. He pouts and tells her NOT to call him when she needs someone. After he leaves, Lucas says that EJ is no good for her anyway. She defends him, saying that EJ is her only friend right now. They start arguing, so Will has to break them up and forces them to make peace and try to get along. Lucas tells her that’s right…he wants to be her friend and get along…for Will’s sake. Sami agrees that she too is willing to try and will do whatever it takes. They talk about how they both love him and Sami wants Will to move back in with her. He says he can’t now, but maybe later….give it time. Bo arrives, wanting to question Sami, saying it can’t wait…it’s important…we do it here or at the station. Will shakes his head, saying “here we go again”. Sami swears she hasn’t done anything…not that they don’t already know about and Bo backs her up, saying he just needs to talk to her, so Lucas and Will leave.

Back at the Penthouse…John comes home and asks Belle what’s wrong. She explains about Shawn and John asks why she wouldn’t let him see Claire. She explains and tells John that Shawn threatened to sue for custody. John assures her that he wouldn’t stand a chance and that she is perfect mother…BUT…he thinks that Shawn should be a part of Claire’s life. Belle thinks that she should just get her own place…for Claire’s sake, but John says for her sake, she needs her father in her life too. She says that the way Shawn is acting, Claire is better off without him. John thinks that maybe Belle can help him with that as well. He thinks that maybe she should make a list of conditions but she laughs at that, saying Shawn cannot stand someone telling him what to do. Finally she considers John’s advice but he warns her, this is not about her getting back together with Shawn…it is about them being good parents. She says she will give it a try. Meanwhile, Shawn returns to the garage to gather his things. He is in a foul mood when Willow arrives and suggests that he move in with her. He reminds her that she lives at the YWCA but she says she has a way around that…if he is up for it.

At the Hospital…Roman, Caroline and Frankie take the information from Lexie to the doctor and he thinks it may be worth a chance, even though it’s no sure-fire cure. He reminds them that there are risks, including allergic reactions and even possible death. He asks if they are prepared to take that chance. They talk it over and decide they have to do whatever it takes. He goes to prepare the release forms and call the CDC as Caroline’s boys support her.

At Kate’s Place…EJ arrives to give her an update on the Sami situation. He is not happy with the way Lucas and Will keep interrupting his plans…which Kate isn’t too thrilled about either. He says he has had enough and is giving up on Sami…if she wants Lucas and Sami apart, she will have to deal with it herself. Kate says she needs EJ for insurance against Sami…besides she can tell that he is a little too attracted to Sami. He hugs Kate and kisses her neck and she says maybe she can convince him to keep working on Sami. They start hugging and she puts the chain on the door as he has her pressed up against it. They start undressing when they hear Lucas’s voice outside as he starts knocking on the door wanting in. Kate shuffles a reluctant EJ into another room and lets Lucas and Will in, with Lucas demanding to know what’s going on. She can tell he is in a foul mood and assumes that things didn’t go well with Sami. But Will says she is wrong…and that Sami needs them now more than ever. Kate tries to steer Lucas away from Sami and says that Sami is just working them…she tells him that Sami is an addiction, worse than alcohol and will just ruin their lives.

Bo reminds Sami about the envelope she brought by and that EJ’s prints were all over it. He needs to know what was in the envelope but Sami won’t tell him. He explains about whoever has targeted the Bradys has now attacked Steve and Kayla and they are in grave danger. She is shocked and refuses believe that EJ could be a part of it. She won’t tell him what was in the envelope (I don’t understand why…he already knows she was being blackmailed). Bo warns her that he doesn’t trust EJ and that if she is smart…she won’t either. As he leaves, EJ rounds the corner and stands there staring…as the previews show…


Mimi (to Bonnie): Shawn and I are OVER…can you please get that through your head? (Bonnie): Well, can you?...

Willow (to Belle): I would LOVE to stand her and talk fashion with you all day but… (just as Shawn comes bursting out of the shower, clad only in a towel)…

A little show down at Sami’s apartment; Kayla and Steve are still in quarantine as the family watches and talks to each other; Bo and John bring Abe in on what they’ve learned; and Will (despite all that hair on his head) grows up and smartens up.

SAMI’S APARTMENT
Sami prepares for a romantic evening wearing a gold camisole and soft music. EJ arrives bearing a bottle of Burgandy and questions how her head is doing after Chez Rouge, but she says a gallon of water and a nice shower helped. She tells him how hurt and surprised she was to find her sister and mother getting married there without her and her father and Kate were their witnesses. EJ rationalizes if she were Carrie, would SHE want her there or knowing how she feels about John, can she blame Marlena for not wanting her there either. Sami agrees, reluctantly, and they kiss. We return to them in smooch mode as EJ pulls her onto the couch where they sit. She asks him to slow down and let them take their time. He apologizes and admits loving romance, but they always get interrupted and it usually costs him money…citing the cheese in the car incident.

KATE’S SUITE
Kate arrives back to her suite to tell Lucas about Carrie and Austin getting married and how Sami tried to ruin the festivities. Carrie and Austin didn’t let her bother them, had gotten married and left Salem already. She continues to berate Sami, asking how Lucas could put up with the “low life gutter snipe” when Will finally emerges from the bedroom and tells Granny Kate “stop it, I’m not going to let you talk about my mom like that”..(well hallelujah and strike up the band..the kid does have SOME allegiance to his mom!) Kate apologizes after Will said he still loves his mom despite all she’s done. He tells Lucas the same…she’s his mom and he really loves her. Kate steps outside the door eavesdropping as she hears Will tell his father that he’s tired of moving from place to place and wants some stability. He tells Lucas he knows how much he loves his mom and moving out was the dumbest move they probably ever made. He asks if they can try to be a family again as we see Kate shaking her head no silently. Will says they don’t have to necessarily live together, but can’t they at least be civil with each other so the rest of their lives they can live in peace? Lucas agrees to offer an olive branch and Kate comes out of the bedroom ranting they can’t do that. Lucas calls her on eavesdropping again as they banter. Lucas mentions maybe they can be friends and Will’s excited about having his parents civil to each other. Lucas warns him that he and Sami both drive each other crazy and Will might get that way too from their fall out, but Will reminds his father he’s a teenager and his parents are suppose to make him crazy, LOL. It’s better all around for them to be close to Sami and Lucas agrees. Will suggests they go to see her right now and Lucas readily agrees (sorry Kate :-P) She picks up the phone to call EJ after Lucas and Will leave.

SALEM UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL
Caroline and Frankie chat outside Kayla and Steve’s ICU room, hoping the antidote works. Frankie urges Caroline to go take a break and get something to eat while he stands guard. Max arrives, asking for an update. Stephanie wheels in asking for an update. Frankie and Max both tell her to go back to her room and relax, saying her parents are in quarantine and allowed no visitors. She agrees and pauses when Max asks if she wants him to help her back, but she tells him she can function solo. He replies he’ll be there in five minutes to check on her. After she wheels off, Frankie sensed the tension and asks Max what’s up. Max tells him he’s going to “break it off” with her when the time is right. He admits using Stephanie to get Chelsea off his back and now feels bad and has to break it off. Frankie tells him to tell Stephanie now, but Max can’t with her in a wheelchair and her parents hanging on for dear life. Frankie knows Max and how he plays the field and insists he tell her now, but Max says this is different and he really cares about her. Frankie repeats, tell her now and goes to check on Ma.

Max walks in and tells Stephanie her parents have a great team of doctors. She tells him she’s glad she’s not having to go through this alone as she reaches out for his hand and he takes it for a minute, looking down at her smiling up at him. He pulls over a stool and decides not to tell her the truth. He leaves to go to the garage. Frankie pops in and is looking for Max. She tells him he went back to the garage, but sensed he was just getting away from her. She asks Frankie if Max said anything to him about her and knows that Max was trying to break up with her the other day. She has enough uncertainty in her life right now and doesn’t want to waste energy worrying about a guy who doesn’t care about her. She begs him to level with her. The unknown is harder than the truth (ain’t that the truth!) Frankie may be lawyer, but stumbles with what to say about personal issues. Stephanie realizes what he’s not saying and asks for time alone, so he leaves. Stephanie tosses the bear saying BE MINE in the trash that Max gave her.

Frankie returns to Ma and Pa for an update. H e tells them he’s going to return to Washington DC when things are calmer. Pop knows he lost Jennifer. He reminds him how he saved Jack's life and seeing him again has added 10 years to his own (Pop’s) life and he’s a good, decent man and a good example to his brother Max. They hug. The doctor steps outside, apologizing for closing the blinds. The antidote isn’t working and he says he’s called and talked to everyone he can for help with another antidote. Frankie offers to call around and Caroline breaks down when she’s not given much hope of their recovery.

John (still in his wedding suit) and Bo brainstorm at the hospital. They talk about EJ and how he’s wormed his way into their lives and then Patrick’s name comes up. John stops Bo for taking off after Patrick’s name is mentioned, saying he’s not letting him go anywhere right now. John stresses they must use caution to approach proving EJ and Patrick’s involvement. John decides to take off (Marlena awaits ;-) ?) and asks Bo to call him with updates. Pop Shawn arrives, looking stressed. He asks about Caroline and as he goes to check the cafeteria, Bo asks for his advice on something first. He asks Pop a scenario about a hypothetical situation if a cop should bring a bad guy in, no matter what. Pop Shawn has been popping his ginkgo apparently as he asks if this hypothetical cop has been suspended from the force. Love the “busted” look on Bo’s face! Wise pop reminds him of his analogy that if one player on a team cheats, everyone will think the whole team is cheating. Bo thanks Pop twice for the sage advice and goes to make a call on the wall phone when Caroline returns. He calls John and asks him to meet him at the station so they can tell Abe what’s going on, saying he was right about that.

COP SHOP
John arrives first and calmly tells Abe that he and Bo have investigated what’s going on and it’s because of Bo’s persistence that they might have found out who’s behind the “whole damn thing”. Bo arrives and Abe pulls them into his office. He tells Bo that John has filled him in, but he wants to hear Bo’s side of it, warning him that Bo didn’t follow orders and he’s about to toss him off the force!!! John asks Abe to cut Bo some slack and says he’s followed the book so far. They tell him that EJ Wells is Patrick’s contact. Abe is shocked saying EJ is rich and donates half his profits to charity. John explains without going into “details” that he acquired, er, borrowed his cell phone and was able to obtain his recent call history. They found he made over a dozen calls to EJ and asks why else he would call him? Abe admits the glove was traced to a manufacturer in Florence, Italy and are rarely imported. Only one store in Salem carries them and his officers are going through that store’s records now. Bo asks if they can continue the case then? Abe tells them to be careful and tells John to fill Bo in on what North tried to do to him. Bo remembers when Sami came in with the envelope for him to fingerprint and EJ was with her. He tells John about it and the unexpected set of prints on it belonged to EJ Wells.


BACK AT THE ICU
Pop Shawn and Caroline stand outside Kayla and Steve’s ICU room when someone enters the room wearing a hazmat suit and headcover. The person closes the blinds so no one can look in.

MAX’S GARAGE
Max returns and fills Abby in about the antidote for Kayla and Steve. She asks about how Stephanie is doing and he says she’s having a tough time. Abby remembers how hard it was waiting for her dad’s miracle drug to work and feels for her. She knows Max will make things easier for Stephanie, but he doesn’t agree. Max reminds her they only were on one date before the accident (yeah, so what’s this “breaking up” deal…???) He really cares about Stephanie, but doesn’t see any long term relationship. He admits not telling her yet due to what’s happening. Abby apologizes for getting that gift for him considering this and he says he doesn’t hate her (when she asks) for her doing that. She tells him he’s a good guy and he thanks her. He’s happy he hired her. The counseling wasn’t part of her job description, but he appreciates it.

BACK TO SAMI’S
We find EJ getting Sami warmed up as his cell rings. He turns it off as he and Sami lean back on the couch. Someone knocks on the door and when Will calls out to “Mom”, Sami pushes EJ off her as they both button up again. She figures Will’s there to rant about what she did at Chez Rouge. They hurriedly get themselves put together and she opens the door to ask Lucas what the hell they’re doing there. If they came to yell about what she did, get it over with and leave. Lucas understands what she did, citing she knows how he feels about Carrie and Austin. He tells her both he and Will had a change of heart and should be united for Will’s sake as long as they don’t get emotionally involved. EJ’s not happy about this and tells her that she and her son can be close without Lucas around. EJ and Will go head to head as Will doesn’t like EJ’s attitude and says he wants some time with his mom and asks EJ to leave. EJ flutters his eyes at a confused Sami, asking what SHE wants. She asks EJ to leave and he gets defensive. She says they’re her family. He tells her to make a choice…him or Lucas and Will? (duh, BIG decision there, huh?)...as the previews roll....

ABE TO LEXIE: Unless you give me a reason not to, I will stand by you forever.
LEXIE: I love you so much!

SHAWN TO BELLE: If I have to get a lawyer to see my daughter, I will. And if you push me too far, I’ll sue for full custody.
BELLE gulps.

Lucas trying to get back in the suite and the chain is on. He calls out to Kate that it’s him and Will and asks what’s going on. We see Kate putting a finger over EJ’s lips to keep him silent as they’re on the other side of the door.

SAMI to BO: What’s this about?
BO: I need you to talk to me about EJ Wells..

Summary: Carrie and Austin have an uninvited guest at their wedding…Steve and Kayla are in grave condition…Abe stands by Lexie in her darkest hour. I had to use this poster...consider it my farewell to Austin ;-)

At the Bar…(not sure where, could be Chez Rouge)…Sami is drowning her sorrows when EJ arrives. She says she is celebrating the “new and improved” Sami Brady. She tells him how her chat with her dad went and asks how can she ever repay him. EJ has an idea…and kisses her. Sami goes on about how no one ever loved her (even mentions Brandon) and says that her brother Eric and EJ are the only ones she could ever trust. Kate walks up, asking EJ if he is “slumming” again. Sami asks what is she all dressed up for…a costume party?...then asks which witch she is going as (lol). She tells them that she is going to a wedding but won’t tell them anything else. Sami calls Roman, but learns that he has taken the day off…to go to Carrie’s wedding. Armed with that info, she bolts out the door.

At the Justice of The Peace…Carrie tells John and Marlena that they are getting married and leaving Salem. They admit that Sami is the main reason they are leaving and will be starting a new life and new jobs in Switzerland. Carrie asks them to please understand. Marlena says as long as they are happy. Kate and Roman show up (they were to be the witnesses). They are surprised to see John and Marlena there and then learn that they are planning to get married as well, so Roman wishes them luck. Roman tells Carrie to come on…he has a bride to give away, so they head in the chapel. When we rejoin them, the wedding is in progress and they are proceeding with the vows. They exchange rings as Austin interrupts and says he has something to say. He talks about second chances and how he will never let anyone come between them again. Just on cue, heads whirl around as (a half-drunk) Sami walks in clapping, saying, “well, well…now the gang’s all here”. She says she can’t believe they didn’t invite her. She notices that John and Marlena look like they are dressed to get married as well and they confirm it. She says she is glad she made it and hopes she didn’t miss anything. Carrie makes it abundantly clear that she is NOT welcome and proceeds to chew her out, saying she will never change. Sami starts on her, saying she will never be as good as PERFECT Carrie…who is now 0 for 2…she cheated on both her husbands, but yet, is still better than her. No one loves HER…and that will never change. Carrie calls her a mean, hateful, hurtful person and says she is DONE with her…so just GET OUT. Austin tells her if she doesn’t leave, he will pick her up and toss her out on her ass. Sami calls them all hypocrites and says she doesn’t want any part of them. As a parting shot, she wishes Austin and Carrie a long and miserable life together and tells Carrie to TRY and be faithful this time…then she storms off. After the dust settles, the wedding resumes with Austin, who promises Carrie that he will always love her. They are pronounced husband and wife and kiss as John, Marlena, Kate and Roman all applaud. Later, they make a toast as Roman gets a call about what is happening at the hospital. Marlena asks Carrie and Austin to stay for the wedding, but Austin says they have to get going…they have a plane to catch. Roman tells John about Steve and Kayla being poisoned and asks him to go with him. John explains to Marlena and she understands and tells him to go, but be careful. Carrie feels bad because they let her and Austin go ahead of them. John and Roman each say their goodbyes to Carrie and then leave, as Marlena watches. Later, Marlena and Kate both say their goodbyes as well, along with lots of hugs and tears and Carrie and Austin leave. Outside, Austin and Carrie kiss and he says “here we go…”

Back at the Bar…Sami is downing shots again when EJ shows up…yet again. She tells him it is all his fault (as she says this in an English accent) that he told her to stand up to her family and they could take her or leave her…well…they LEFT her. She continues to drink and complain about how her family treated her. She says she isn’t perfect like Carrie…or Belle…or Eric and calls herself the “Anti-Brady”. EJ leans in and kisses her and tells her to just forget about her family…they can’t make her happy like he can. So they grab their things and leave.




At the Hospital…Abe is cleared to go into the room where Steve and Kayla were attacked as he and Tek trade insults and jabs. Meanwhile Kayla and Steve are in 2 beds in the same room in isolation as Stephanie, PopShawn and Caroline watch through a glass window. A doctor tells them that they were exposed to some kind of toxin that is affecting their lungs. Bo shows up asking how they are and Stephanie says they are both going to die…and it’s all her fault. Bo assures her it’s not her fault as she explains what happened. Bo goes to talk to Abe and asks what’s going on. Abe reminds him that he is suspended as Bo tells him he wants back on the force. Lexie shows up with a cardboard box to clean out her locker as everyone is staring and whispering about her. The administrator tells her she will have a security guard with her and she has 10 minutes. Tek walks up, asking if she is okay and she tells him to get away from her. He tells her about the biohazard incident with Steve and Kayla and how the police found a black glove as a calling card. She wishes she could help, but can’t. She explains that she doesn’t work there anymore. Caroline goes to take Stephanie back to her room, but she refuses. About that time, Billie comes breezing in, with Stephanie asking her why she is there and telling her she is not needed. Bo and Abe argue as Bo tells him that Kayla was a target, like all the other Bradys have been…and he is sure that Lockhart is involved. Abe doesn’t want to hear it and walks away, but Bo follows, pleading his case. Stephanie tells Billie that she is the LAST person Kayla will want to see there when she wakes up. Shawn takes her to her room before she gets upset as Caroline and Billie talk. Caroline tries to apologize, but Billie tells her not to bother…she knows she feels the same way…just too polite to say it. Caroline leaves to check on Stephanie as Billie watches Steve and Kayla through the glass.

Lexie explains to Tek about Carrie reporting her and getting fired…and it’s all HIS fault. He tries to hug her, but she tells him to leave her alone…she has to go clean out her locker. Abe tells Bo that they checked and Patrick has an iron-clad alibi at the time of the incident and warns Bo to stay away from him…or he will be off the force permanently. As Billie watches Steve and Kayla, she says that even though Steve won’t admit it, they are the perfect couple and she knows it. Overhearing this, Bo walks up and tells her he will never tell she said that. Billie, crying, says that they can’t die. Bo puts his arm around her (surprised Hope didn’t walk up just then) and assures her they will survive. He tells her that he is investigating Lockhart and asks her to keep her eyes open for anything suspicious. John comes in and tells Bo he needs to talk to him. Abe tells Tek to go back to the station as Tek tells him that he heard about Lexie and that she needs him (Abe) right now. Roman arrives and joins Billie watching Steve and Kayla through the glass as the doctor tells them that they have identified the toxin used and are giving them the antidote. Lexie walks through the lobby with her box of things as everyone is staring and whispering. Abe comes in and says “Dr. Carver”, takes the box and carries it out for her…as Tek watches. John shares the information he has with Bo (about all the calls to EJ Wells) and warns Bo that if Abe or Roman find out what they are doing, they are in trouble. Bo says that no one is going to stop him…not even his brother. The doctor comes back to everyone and tells them that they antidote has been administered and they should know something within 24 hours. Freeze frame on Steve and Kayla…as the previews show…

Franike (to Stephanie): Maybe Max was waiting for the right time…(Stephanie): Please tell me, because not knowing is the one thing I can’t handle…

Caroline (to Doctor): I want you to do anything…everything…I am NOT going to let my daughter die…

Abe (to Bo): You didn’t follow the rules and I am going to kick you off the force for good…

EJ (to Sami): It’s either Lucas and Will…or me…it’s up to you…

Carrie presses charges against Lexie, Steve has words with Chelsea, while the Black Glove puts Kayla in danger, and a couple of marriage proposals are made.

THE PENTHOUSE

Marlena asks John if he still has a question for her. He gifts her with a gorgeous ring, yes, it is a rock. He tells her he had her old diamond reset (good thing, as I was going to remark she must have a jewelry box full of engagement rings by now, lol), with sapphires added, one for each year they have been together. He has another gift…..in a very tiny box. It is a tiny wedding band to add onto the charm bracelet he gave her years ago, and it signifies their never ending love. He gets down on one knee, as Marlena comments on what an old fashioned romantic he is. He tell her she made him that way, that he met her and was empty and she filled him with purpose. He asks her to marry him. Later, he says she has not yet given him an answer to his question. She replies that she has a proposal of her own.

THE LOCKHART HOUSE

Steve arrives with lunch, surprising Billie. He has beer for himself, sody pop for her (love that Steve used that pronunciation…..it is from years ago, lol). She wants him to leave, as Chelsea will soon arrive, and she wants to talk to her about the fact that her parents are NOT going to be getting back together, no matter what schemes she tries. Steve volunteers to talk to Chelsea, but Billie is hesitatant, seeing as his own daughter is trying to get him & Kayla hooked up too. (Much different, Billie!) He convinces her that sometimes one can get through to someone else’s kid. They go outside, chat a bit. (So o.k. Steve is wearing a leather jacket….appropriate for late October Midwest weather, but Billie is in a sleeveless low cut dress……and nary a goosebump in sight, lol) Chelsea arrives, not too happy to see “Captain Jack”, as she makes all her usual smart mouth wisecracks. They go inside, as Chelsea continues to mouth off, asking Steve if he knows her mom was a drug addict. Yep, he knew that. She continues on about her mom making porn movies, to make money to supply her drug habit. Billie walks in, horrified at her daughter, who won’t shut up, but Steve angrily tells her that everyone makes mistakes. That everyone has something horrible in their past they are ashamed of, and young ladies in glass houses should not throw stones. Chelsea is looking increasingly uncomfortable, as Steve asks her if she knows what he is getting at.(her part in the death of Zach) Steve’s cell phone rings, and it is Stephanie, who needs him to come, as she is worried about her mom. He leaves. Billie tries to convince Chelsea that Bo & Hope WILL get back together, that she & Bo do not love each other.

Carrie comes to see Lexie, accompanied by the hospital adminstrator, Jim. He tells Lexie that there is a problem, and asks if Carrie’s accusations are true, mentioning Lexie telling Carrie that she and Austin carry genetic markers that would cause them to have a child with severe birth defects. Lexie admits it. Jim tells her she violated her Hippocratic oath, and her contract with the hospital. He tells her that, depending on what the Board of Review says, she may even lose her license. Carrie looks very smug, as Jim tells Lexie her contract with the hospital is now terminated without severance or benefits.

Kayla has come to visit her daughter, as Stephanie tells her about Max’s visit last nite, and her panic attack. Kayla is furious that no one called her. As they talk, the Black Glove watches from outside the room. (and no one in the hall sees him, of course). Kayla tries to convince Stephanie she will some day find a man who loves her as much as she loves him. Stephanie is not convinced, seeing as how her father wants nothing to do with her mother, yet her mom keeps hoping. Kayla tells her it is completely different. Now we hear a page for Dr. Kayla Johnson to go to Room 113. Kayla is surprised, as she has only been on staff a couple of days…..she is not supposed to be working and no one even knows she is at the hospital. Stephanie urges her not to go, for all the same reasons. She cites the things always happening to the Bradys, but Kayla is insistent. (hmm, Kayla, remember 13 is not a lucky number to many! ) Kayla leaves.

PENTHOUSE GRILL (I think)

Carrie arrives, joining Austin (who still needs a shave) and tells him what happened. She begins to feel guilty, but Austin convinces her that this was Sami & Lexie’s fault, not hers. He gives her a real pep talk, speaking of moving to Europe. Carrie is hesitant. He talks of being the CEO of Mythic, and how he is going to give her back her company – High Style…..knowing how much it meant to her. (hmm, and I thought he broke the company up, with all the employees losing their jobs, etc. etc. ). He talks of HighStyle’s headquarters being in Zurich, so that is where they will live. Carrie tells him she cannot do this…..unless they are married. Cue Austin to get down on one knee (aww, these romantic guys) and pull out the ring box, asking her to marry him. They decide to find a JP and get married right away.

Lexie arrives to meet Abe. She spots Carrie & Austin at a table, so suggests they sit at the bar instead. She stumbles a bit, telling Abe she does not want any secrets between them. She reminds him of Sami blackmailing her, and now confesses to him what she did for Sami, the lie she told to Carrie. She tells him she has been fired. He asks if she can still work at the Free Clinic, and she says yes for now, but if she loses her license, she will not be able to practice at all. Abe wonders if she is telling him because she wants no secrets between them, or because she lost her job, and he would find that out anyway. She assures him she loves him, wants no secrets, and tells him she wants him to arrest Tek if he violates the restraining order. They embrace, as Abe promised he will stand by her.

THE JUSTICE OF THE PEACE OFFICE

Carrie & Austin arrive, all dressed up in a suit for him, and beautiful dress for her. They have been to the courthouse, have their license, and want to be married right away. The wife says no at first, until Carrie & Austin explain they are leaving town, and have waited so long, wanting to be married before they leave. She agrees but tells them her husband has another walk in couple first, who called for an appt. Ah, here they are. And in walks John & Marlena, also all dressed up appropriately.

BACK AT THE HOSPITAL

Kayla arrives at Room 113, opens the door, lights are out, so she flips the light switch.on (Now I would have seen that empty room, figured there was a mistake and turned back, lol) and enters the room, calling hello. The door slams shut behind her, and is locked when she tries to open it. Darn, she left her phone in Stephanie’s room. She tries to use the room phone. Nope, it is dead. Now she hears heavy breathing, which seems to be coming from the air vent. Then she hears a voice, calling her name, over and over.She is bewildered at what is going on.

Steve arrives in Stephanie’s room, and tells him how worried she is. Mom has been gone a long time, no one knew she was at hospital, and yet she got this page to Room 113. Steve takes off…..and Stephanie again hyperventilates. He pounds on the door to room 113, telling Kayla to open the door. She can’t, locked. He tries to rush at it a few times, with no luck. He tinkers with the lock at bit, and manages to kick it open. Kayla rushes into his arms, telling him how scared she was. (Man I love these two together, just the way he holds her head…..sigghhh, lol). She explains about the vent, the heavy breathing, the person calling her name. Steve goes over to the vent to check it out. Both are kneeling right in front of it, as a large amount of smoke or gas comes pouring out into their faces. They being to choke, turn way, and both are on their knees, with Steve bent over Kayla, trying to protect her. And the previews roll………

Billie to Bo, in the hospital: This can’t be happening. They can’t die.

Tek: I’m sure there’s something you can do for Kayla & Steve. Lexie replies she can’t, and Tek asks why not, you’re a doctor. Lexie answers:”I’m a doctor who doesn’t work here any more

EJ: If they’re so lawful, why do you care about how they feel? Sami says: I don’t as she downs a shot of something.

Carrie: I’m gonna miss you like crazy

Kate & Marlena say bye, bye, as Austin and Carrie leave

It’s a new day in Salem and John and Marlena do some sleuthing after she and Roman chat about Sami; Sami gets advice from EJ and uses it on Roman; Mimi has a showdown with Willow and Shawn at Max’s garage


THE PENTHOUSE
Marlena returns home from an “emergency croissant run” to find John sipping coffee (that he made himself). (I think Rachael Ray needs to visit Salem and teach our Salemites how to cook, haha). John apologizes for returning so late the night before and said she was sleeping too soundly for him to wake up. She mentions how he had talked of making an honest woman of her and he wraps her in for a big wet one before doing anything else. We return to the smooch fest as they’re thankful to be together again. After they tell each other how much they love each other, etc., he kneels to propose again and the doorbell rings. She apologizes saying she had asked Roman to come over to talk. John smiles, grabs a croissant and says he has some work to do after she lets Roman in. He whispers he’ll ask her “that question” later and she says she’ll remind him if he forgets..both smiling (always nice to have something to look forward to). Roman’s glad she called and that John found her in NJ safe and sound. He wanted to go with John to find her, but she knows he was busy in Salem. He asks why she’s so happy and she explains she and John are back together. Her smile fades as she tells him there’s something she’s not happy about…Sami. She tells him how this is the worst thing that Sami’s ever done. She tells him how Sami blackmailed Lexie, etc. She can tell by his facial reaction that he knew already. He explains he found out the day of Sami’s wedding as Tek had told him. She is shocked he didn’t tell her, but he says she took off for New Jersey. He explains why he didn’t tell Carrie as she was already married to Lucas and why he didn’t tell anyone else. Marlena says that Sami is still the same lying, conniving person she’s always been. She knows Sami didn’t come to just confess what she had done, she wanted Marlena’s help in getting things smoothed out with her father. Marlena senses there’s a small spot of Sami wanting to change, but after she started blaming Roman, Lexie and herself for her problems, decided differently. Roman says he was planning on telling Marlena about it today (she smiling reacts with “what a coincidence!”) as he said he was going to because of Will. They glance at his picture (another one with a lot less hair, haha) as he tells her about how Will ran away the last time Sami disappointed him and afraid he’ll do a lot worse now. They realize Sami might have needed more of their time growing up and Roman’s tired of beating himself up over that, saying Carrie and Eric turned out fine. Marlena suggests they present a united front to Sami, showing she can’t play them against each other any more. He said they won’t come to her rescue any more and if she continues going down this destructive path, she’ll lose everyone she cares about. She said to tell Sami that she’s welcome to destroy her own life, but she’s not going to destroy Wills.

SAMI’S – 10:00 a.m.
EJ walks in with coffee for Sami as we see her sound asleep on the couch. He tells her that they listened to Diana Krall and Coltran at his place the night before until she fell asleep from exhaustion. He carried her back to her place and slept in his own bed, much to her relief. She thanks him. He wants to chat with her when things calm down saying he feels there’s something between them and wants to bring fun back to her life. We return as Sami moans about how things turned out. He strokes her hair, encouraging her to tell her father to get over it if he gives her a hard time about what she did. Later EJ boosts her self esteem by reminding her that she’s not the only headstrong person who’s lied to get their own way and how she shines compares to other women. He tells her to be herself and he’s crazy about her. Sami backs off, saying she’s flattered, but… EJ continues praising her supposed virtues, but she steps into the kitchen comparing him to a white knight in shining armor (hardly). He gets melancholy talking about his own family and not having much contact as he changes the subject back to her, saying they belong together. He adores her and nothing she does will turn him away. Startled at that, he kisses her and she returns it. EJ’s phone rings and he turns it off (it’s Patrick) as he and Sami get hot and heavy on the couch.

We return with EJ shirtless (a Salem must) and Sami’s top a little unbuttoned when Roman POUNDS on the door demanding to see her. She and EJ launch from the couch and restore their buttons as Roman continue his loud demands (put a sock in it Roman, it’s an apartment building!!) She says she and EJ were going to lunch, but Roman says EJ won’t mind eating alone as he needs to talk with her. Roman blasts into Sami about what she did to Carrie. Sami tells Roman how Austin and Lucas were both panting after Carrie,etc. When he asks what she’s going to do about it, she says she apologized and doesn’t know what else to do. She turns and he tells her until she stops acting so heartless, he doesn’t want anything to do with her. He insists she turn and look at him, throwing a “damn it” in there…asking if she heard what he said. She tells him she’s tired of people trying to change her and how she’s turned herself inside out trying to win peoples love. If he can’t accept her for herself, so be it, he can leave. Surprised by this response, he says he’s not leaving until they’ve had it out. Sami calmly tells him she’s going to lunch and walks out telling Roman to have it out with himself.

MAX’S GARAGE
Shawn stumbles out of the back room where he spent the night. Max thought Shawn had the boat to sleep on, but Shawn only says it didn’t “work out”. Max fills him in on the gift Abby had chosen to be from him and Stephanie’s having breathing difficulty when he tried to explain. He’s doesn’t want to give her false hope, but knows he has to be careful as well.

Mimi arrives and babbles on, telling Max about how Shawn had to be rescued by the coast guard the night before and his new girlfriend being a hooker. Shawn says at least Willow doesn’t LIE to him and rants about her calling his parents. She clarifies that she saved his life in doing so. Max tells them to take personal issues outside, but Shawn leaves the room. Max hugs Mimi, who whines about her circumstances and how Shawn needs her (yeah, throwing his actions in his face not a good conversation starter Meems). Max figures once Shawn calms down that things will get back to normal (yeah, right). Mimi says she came as her car’s having problems. Shawn was going to look at it, but she doesn’t have the money right now to pay. He of course tells her that he’ll take a look at it. Max tells her no problem, anytime. Mimi tells him she’ll pay him when she has the money, but he tells her not to worry about ut. Willow walks in and blasts Mimi with “I should have known you’d be here, you BITCH!” Shawn returns and Willow tells him that Mimi told Hope about her past (which Mimi questions the “past” tense) and she came to see her. Shawn is disgusted, saying looking at Mimi makes him sick. The two argue as Shawn says her lie about Claire’s paternity should be grounds for annulment which he’s seeking. He tells her to leave, saying he doesn’t care how she feels about him and Willow. Max steps between them and tells Shawn that he’s tired of Shawn telling him who can and can’t be in HIS garage. Mimi’s a customer and welcome any time. If Shawn can’t handle that, he can bunk somewhere else. In fact, after what he did to his car, he can get another job as well. Shawn grabs his shirt and says he’s out of there (good for Max!). Willow tells Mimi to keep her mouth shut or she’ll shut it for her and storms out after Shawn. Mimi apologizes to Max and he says people say things when they’re angry. He offers her a shoulder to cry on and she accepts it, saying thank you.

PENTHOUSE GRILL?
John meets up with Patrick as they chat over a couple beers (glad he had a croissant before tipping beers, LOL). He thanks Patrick again for his help on Morgan Island and Patrick to John for his help in getting into the academy. John apologizes for not calling sooner, but gives him the condensed version about his personal life happenings and asks how he’s doing. Patrick mentions his going to be a father and how Bo’s making his life a living hell being they both love Hope. Now standing, John says they all have tempers, but Patrick claims that Bo staged his arrest and planted the evidence out of jealousy. He figured if Bo got him arrested, he’d return the favor. John says Bo wouldn’t plant evidence and when Patrick gets defensive, says Bo will have to get over him being with Hope. John says Bo’s hung up on Patrick working with the Dimeras. Patrick claims that was a long time ago and John, mentioning being a past Dimera employee himself, offers to help prove Patrick’s not anymore. He quizzes him about where and who he worked for in the Dimera dynasty and Patrick picks up on the interrogation vs. friendly chatter going on. John’s techniques are slipping as Patrick ends the conversation and goes to pay for his own beer. While Patrick’s on his cell phone inside, John steps outside and calls Marlena (Doc) asking for her help. Later Marlena joins Patrick at the bar, saying she came to meet John there. She asks Patrick if he’s okay. He grumbles and she offers to chat with him if it’ll help. (she picks up his cell phone on the far side of her purse) and takes it to the ladies room as he orders ginger ales (per her suggestion) for both of them. In the ladies room she nervously goes through her purse as Patrick’s phone falls on the floor. She bends down to get it and sees mens shoes in the stall and gets up. She grabs her mace out of her purse and orders whoever is in the stall to come out. John opens the door, sitting on the toilet fully clothed, asking if that phone is for him, LOL. She slaps his arm as he steps out, saying he scared her. Being they have a minute, they kiss.

Marlena returns to find Patrick looking for his phone. She hands it to him, saying she found it right there. She returns home and reports to John, saying Patrick never suspected a thing. She tells him he makes things exciting (referring to him as John Black). He suggests she stick around then and remembers he was ready to ask her a question. She’s anxious for him to ask.

BACK ALLEY
EJ meets up with Patrick, angry as he told him not to call him as it could risk the operation and this getting back to him. Patrick tells him about John Black being onto him. EJ tells him not to worry about John Black as he has his future all mapped out…….

Summary: Sami turns to Marlena for help, who gives her some “tough love”…Bo enlists John’s help to bring down Patrick…EJ gives Patrick some advice…Max dumps Stephanie…Hope learns the truth about Willow.

At Chez Rouge…Mimi whines to Bonnie about her car breaking down and needing money but Bonnie tells her that she doesn’t have the money to loan her and even suggests that she ask Max to fix her car. Later, Mimi is upset when she sees a receipt where Bonnie had wined and dined someone with an expensive meal. Meanwhile, we learn that it was Lauren (the surrogate) that she was treating. She is on the phone with her, telling her that she wants that baby, even if Mimi doesn’t. Mimi confronts her about the receipts and Bonnie tries to make up a lie, saying it was an investor. But Mimi doesn’t buy her story, thinking instead that she is chasing after some “geezer” at the hospital. Bonnie goes along with the story, finally offering to pony up the money. But then, Mimi says she gave in to easily…and really doesn’t believe her.

Meanwhile, Hope has arrived as Maggie offers her tea and a sympathetic ear. Hope goes on about Shawn’s adventure as well as Bo and Patrick’s run-in. She talks about how angry Bo is about the baby and how he is taking it out on Patrick. She fears that something bad is going to happen. Maggie tries to assure her that everything will work out. Maggie has to go make a phone call but promises to be right back. While she is gone, Mimi comes over and asks how Shawn is. Hope assures her that he is fine and thanks her for calling her. Hope asks how SHE is doing and Mimi says she is fine, at least she isn’t living on the street…which is where Shawn may end up now. But, she says, at least Willow will feel at home. Color Hope confused, so Mimi goes on to explain that Willow is a hooker. Hope is shocked to hear this and can’t believe that Maggie hired her. Hope confronts Maggie about it, asking her if Willow is really a hooker and wants to know why she hired her. Maggie says it was a favor to Shawn, and suggests that she talk to him about it. Hope says that is exactly what she is going to do and rushes off. After she leaves, Willow comes over and asks Maggie what that was all about.

At the Hospital…Abby is visiting with Stephanie as they talk about Steve remembering her and they hope he will remember Kayla as well. Abby asks Stephanie what’s wrong and she tells her she is upset because Max hasn’t visited her…why is he avoiding her? Abby reminds her about the note she found at the garage and suggests that maybe he is only looking out for Stephanie’s best interests and trying to protect her…maybe he blames himself for what happened to her.

At the Garage…Shawn and Max are working on t he car, even though Max says it is pretty much a total loss. Max notes that everyone that drives his car, drives into a wall (lol). Shawn tells him about Philip leaving town and about how he is being such a jerk with Belle. Max admits that he has done the same thing to Stephanie. Max wants out of that relationship, admitting that maybe he used her to get rid of Chelsea. Max is worried about breaking it to her but decides that he must do it soon. Abby shows up telling how she visited Stephanie and she is looking for him. Abby even brought a gift for Max to take to her. He leaves as Abby goes on to Shawn about how wonderful Max is and Shawn asks if SHE has a thing for him too. She says no, but he IS hot and Stephanie is a lucky girl…but he is just a friend to her. Shawn warns her to keep her eyes open with Max.

Back at the hospital…Max visits, claiming that he stayed away to give her time with her dad. The doctor comes in to check on her as she opens the gift bag and finds a stuffed bear, that says “be mine” on it (apparently he didn’t check it before giving it to her, lol). After the doctor leaves, she tells him that she loves it, but he says he shouldn’t have gotten it. He goes into his speech about how he likes/respects her and all…BUT… She asks what he is trying to say and he says that maybe it would be best for them to move on. She starts hyperventilating and he calls for help. The doctors and nurses put her on oxygen, telling her to stay calm, as Max apologizes for upsetting her. He is there for her.

Back at the Garage…Hope shows up demanding to know what Shawn is thinking…sleeping with a hooker? He says he was just trying to help her out and tells Hope to stop putting Willow down. She lectures him about responsibility and says she cannot stop him from divorcing his wife…hurting Belle…or sleeping with a hooker. BUT, there is one thing she insists on…that he be a father to Claire…and if he refuses to do that…she will have a sad and miserable childhood.

On the docks…EJ is lecturing Patrick, who tells him that they have a problem…Bo Brady…he is dangerous. EJ says that Bo is clueless and so is everyone else. Patrick MUST follow his orders and no one will ever know that they are the ones terrorizing Salem. Patrick is upset about EJ killing Eve Michaels…that isn’t what he bargained for…but EJ reminds him that he used the situation to frame Bo. EJ tells him that he had better calm down and take it easy. Patrick says it’s a miracle that Max and Stephanie survived that crash but EJ says it is his goal to make ALL the Bradys suffer. Patrick reminds him that HIS sister is suffering too (with the embryo switch). EJ eludes to the fact that there are others involved in this (besides him and Patrick) and warns Patrick to keep his mouth shut. Patrick asks what if he doesn’t and EJ tells him NOT to try him…he will regret it. Patrick tells EJ not to strong arm him, he isn’t afraid of him and EJ reminds him about Hope and threatens to expose all that he has done if he crosses him. Patrick finally succumbs and asks EJ what he wants him to do but EJ says the less he knows, the better. It will all come out when he reveals his TRUE identity to everyone. Patrick is sure that EJ’s luck is going to run out eventually and he will NOT be there to take the fall for him. Patrick says that EJ underestimates Bo Brady but EJ tells him to remain calm and follow his orders. Patrick says that if Bo gets too close to the truth, he won’t hesitate to sell him out…and EJ warns him that will be a mistake…then he leaves.

At the Penthouse…Marlena and John are kissing hot and heavy when John says they need to talk about remarrying…he wants to make an honest woman out of her. He drops to one knew to propose when Sami comes barging in, wanting to talk to her mom. John gets a call from Bo and goes out in the hall, to give them privacy. Sami tells her mom that her life is over…everyone hates her and now Marlena will too. In the hall, John talks to Bo, who tells him about him being suspended because of Lockhart. Bo says he needs Johns help in proving that Patrick is up to no good.

Back inside, Sami explains the whole blackmail story and the fallout to Marlena, who proceeds to let her have it with both barrels. She asks Sami if she even has a conscience at all…playing with people’s lives like that. Sami tells her that she is sorry and asks Marlena to look at her, but she can’t. Sami wishes she could just take it all back…now she has ended up losing Will and Lucas forever and she can’t bear that. Marlena says all this makes her heartsick and doesn’t know WHAT to say to her. Sami begs her to say that she loves her and won’t give up on her like everyone else, but Marlena says she thought Sami and Carrie were getting along and that Sami had changed. Sami says it was selfish of her, but Marlena says it is WAY BEYOND that. She asks Sami if she only cares about herself. She says no, even Carrie is out for revenge, vowing to destroy Lexie now and is sure that Carrie will also tell Roman…and he will hate her too. Sami says she needs help, but Marlena is onto Sami’s games and says she will NOT go to Roman on her behalf…if she had to go around begging forgiveness (on Sami’s behalf) to everyone…it would take her a lifetime. Sami asks what about her…can she forgive her? Marlena says she can’t…this is the last straw…Sami made this mess, now she has to get HERSELF out of it. Sami cracks that Marlena would rather run off with John again. Marlena tells her she knows how Sami feels about John and that everything is NOT about her. Marlena reminds her that once upon a time she LOVED John…but she has never grown up…she wants to play the little girl who wants her mommy and daddy back together…and yet again, the only one she ends up hurting is herself. She says she is so worried about Sami’s self destructive behavior and she loves her and prays for her, but she is NOT going to manipulate her once again. (Wow! GO MARLENA!) Marlena knows that Sami will blame her…she has heard it all before…she was a bad mother…she abandoned her…not sympathetic to her…she is starved for attention…”am I on the right path here?” Marlena points out that when she WAS gone…John was a good father to the children…and NONE of the others turned out like Sami. She says if Sami wants to be a better person…SHE is the only one that can change things. Sami says this was a mistake and storms out, telling her to enjoy her life with John. Out in the hall, who shows up but EJ! He sees she is upset as she explains about the latest note and how now everyone hates her. She tells him when she finds out who ruined her life…she is going to kill him. EJ claims he cares about her and wants to help…as she thanks him for being such a friend. She tells him that Lucas and Will moved out so he insists that she come to his place and she accepts. Inside, Marlena calls John and asks him if they can continue their conversation before Sami came. He says he will be home soon (he is with Bo right now at the cop shop).

At the Cop Shop…John meets with Bo as he explains to him about how he was arrested and Patrick is pressing charges and has to keep his distance from him. Bo wants John to help him investigate Patrick and reminds him that he was once a part of the DiMera organization…a fact which everyone seems to have forgotten. John reminds him that he saved everyone on the island and that he helped save Marlena from Alex as well. But Bo says he feels that Hope is in danger…and he is helpless…the same way John felt about Marlena with Alex. He says that John can get info from Patrick that he can’t. Bo is sure that he is up to something and he doesn’t want Hope to get hurt. John promises to help. After he gets off the phone with Marlena, John calls Patrick and invites him out for a drink, saying he owes him that for his help back on the island and Patrick accepts. After he gets off the phone, Bo tells him that he will find out he is right…that Lockhart…and whoever he is working for…are going down…as the previews show…

Patrick (to John): Why am I starting to feel like this isn’t a friendly little drink we are having here…It’s starting to feel like one hell of an interrogation…

Mimi (to Shawn): I am still your wife…and I have a right to know… (Shawn): You have NO rights with me, Mimi…

Marlena (to Roman): Sami is still the same selfish, conniving, little witch she always was…

EJ (to Sami): I adore the bad girl in you (as he kisses her)…

It’s Confrontation Day in Salem…in Ring one…Lexie shows Tek she’s serious, in Ring 2..ding ding…Carrie’s backbone is strengthened (with the help of Jack Daniels I think) and she takes on Lexie for lying to her, in Ring 3…ding, ding, ding..Lucas and Will lay in to Sami….in ring 4..ding, ding, ding, ding….Bo is arrested for his punching out Patrick and the top cops are tired of it…I know…lots of dinging and even more tongue lashing in Friday’s show…hope they get it out of their systems and back to loving soon, haha…..my head hurts….

AT THE RESTAURANT..
(aka Ring 1 and Ring 2)

Sami tries to explain to Will what happened. She tells him about the cake she had gotten him for making the bball team. Lucas won’t let Sami put off telling Will what happened as he wants to make sure she doesn’t put her spin on it when he’s not around. She tells Will she and his Aunt Carrie had a fight and Will asks what she did now. She tells him it’s what she did a few months ago that they argued about and when she changes the subject back to the cake, Lucas reigns her back in. She finally tells him she blackmailed Dr. Carver to get Carrie to be with his dad, etc. Will turns on her and rants about the results, saying it’s the sickest thing she’s ever done. We return as she tearfully explains the situation. As she tries to smooth things out, saying she did it for him (Will), Lucas pipes in disagreeing and Will flat out tells her that Sami only did it for herself. Uncle Austin and Aunt Carrie would have been together a long time ago otherwise and dad wouldn’t have had his heart ripped out. Will’s had enough of this crap and moving back in with dad for good, saying he’s not giving her another chance. Sami begs Lucas not to take her son away again, but he says Will is old enough now to make up his own mind where he wants to live. Will throws a few things in his bag and asks if they can go now. Lucas glares at Sami and calmly agrees. They open the door and we see Kate standing there. Sami’s in tears and just turns her back to the door.

Lucas gives Kate the short version about what happened and Kate knew she was right, that there was more to it. Sami calmly tells Kate this wouldn’t have happened if she hadn’t sabotaged her wedding to Lucas. Kate says she did it to protect her son and was right in doing so, then offers to share her huge suite (LOL) with Lucas and Will. Sami says “no way in hell” to that. She won’t let her son be under Kate’s influence and his mind poisoned against her. Will speaks up reminding her that he’s right there and can never understand what she did. Lucas pipes up that Carrie, Austin, even her parents will never understand. She asks if he himself can. Later Kate hands Lucas the key to her suite and he says it’s only temporary until they find their own place. Kate leaves, saying she’ll see them there. Lucas’ voice cracks as he tells Sami she got what she deserved and it’s over. Sami is shaken but quietly begs them to tell her what she can do to make this right. She loves them and can’t lose them. Will says there’s nothing she can do and Lucas walks his son out. Sami breaks into tears and then gut wrenching sobs as she slides to the fall wailing..while the camera pans to the picture of her, Lucas and Will from several years ago (when Will’s face could be seen without all that hair, haha).

RING 4 - COP SHOP

Roman walks Bo in, still wearing handcuffs. Bo tells Abe that Patrick started the argument, but Hope walks in saying that’s not true. She witnessed the whole thing. Abe has Bo put in an interrogation room, saying Bo’s the one who broke the law, which Bo can’t believe. Bo looks at Hope saying she’s making a mistake as Roman walks him away. She can’t understand why he’s acting like he is. He had her almost convinced to give their marriage another try, but he just kept hitting Patrick in the face when she asked him to stop. It’s killing her that she’s having Patrick’s baby, but she has to accept it. Abe vows it won’t happen again and he’s going to make sure right now. He asks her to make her statement then to go home and get some rest (is she still on the force?) A female officer offers to take her statement and Hope sits down until Patrick walks in with a bloodied face. She suggests medical treatment, but he says Bo’s the one who’s going to be in trouble. She apologizes profusely, saying that wasn’t the action of the man she fell in love with. Patrick takes her into his arms to comfort her. He suggests keeping his distance from Bo (gee, ya think?) might help. Hope says with his being the father of her baby, Bo has to get use to the idea. Patrick hugs her again with a smirk on his face. She returns to make her statement while Patrick makes a call on the pay phone in the hall. He leaves a message that he wants to know why they haven’t returned his calls and needs to meet with them ASAP, it’s important. Later Hope returns and refuses a ride home. He asks about Chicago and she reminds him she said she would, but no promises other than that. He walks her out.

Bo tells Roman that Patrick was provoking him intentionally and Hope’s being taken in by him. He’ll regret taking him off this case. Abe walks in saying he’s close to losing his badge. Abe is furious and demands that Bo sit down, shut up and listen to him. He cites how long they’ve worked together and he’s looked away at Bo’s unorthodox methods, but he still thinks the rules don’t apply to him. He can’t look away anymore. He insisted that Bo stay clear of Lockhart and he didn’t. Bo knows that Patrick is working with someone and had his own agenda. He asks Bo to let him do his job and catch this guy before anyone else gets hurt. Abe orders Bo to stay away from Patrick. Bo said if losing his badge is the price to keeping his family safe, so be it. He understands they have to do what they have to do though. Abe will speak to internal affairs if Bo will promise to stay away from Patrick. Bo can’t promise that. Bo sees Patrick in the office and rushes at him. Roman and Abe pull him back in the interrogation room and Abe says he just blew his last chance. Hope looks crestfallen at how Bo reacted.

Bo insists he’s right as Abe and Roman yell at him. Abe asks for Bo’s badge and gun, saying the department can’t risk a law suit. He’s off the force!

In an alley, Patrick calls his contact on his cellphone, saying they have to talk. He says Bo’s not giving up and he doesn’t think it’ll be long before he’s on to them. EJ steps out of the alley and asks what he wants saying this had better be good!

Summary: Sami and Carrie have a good, old-fashioned, rolling-on-the-floor catfight…Bo and Patrick come to blows over Hope…Kate tries to enlist Roman’s help with Sami…and she suspects that EJ has a hidden agenda…Belle finds Shawn and Willow in a compromising position…Carrie next sets her sights on Lexie.

At the Harbor Master’s office…Belle watches as Shawn and Willow kiss. He sees her and asks why she is there. She tries to leave, but he stops her. Belle apologizes to them, saying she thought Shawn was in trouble, but Willow puts an arm around him, saying he is fine and has all he needs. He talks to Belle privately (as Willow eavesdrops). He tries to explain about Willow, saying she is just a friend doesn’t mean anything to him. (After hearing this, she slinks off into the night) Belle cries, saying she can’t help it because she knows she and Claire mean nothing to him either but he says she is wrong. She whines that he didn’t visit her in the hospital but he says he knew she didn’t want to see him…he overheard her telling Carrie. She tells him that is because he dropped the custody suit and thought he didn’t want them to be in his life. He explains he did that out of respect for Philip. Then she tells him that Philip left. He asks her if she loves Philip, and she says yes…but not the way he needed her to. She says Philip asked…and she told him the truth. She says now, the Shawn she loved is gone as well…he would have never have used someone like he used Willow. Shawn declares he was upset…everyone had lied to him…Willow offered to help him and he took her up on it. She cries that she let Philip go for a fantasy. Shawn tries to convince her that what she saw as just a kiss…and she says that kiss showed her that they have no future. Shawn assures her that he wants her and Claire to be his family, but she says no…she isn’t going t let another man play daddy to Claire and then walk out.

At Sami’s Apartment…Sami and Carrie go at it full force as Lucas and Austin pull them apart. They are screaming at each other as both of them break free and go at it again. They end up on the floor rolling around as one of them grabs the table cloth and Will’s cake is dragged into the fray, both of them ending up covered in cake and icing. Lucas and Austin pull them apart as Lucas whips out his phone and takes a picture of Sami, telling her he is going to put it on the internet (LOL). Sami blames Carrie for ruining Will’s cake and tries to get Lucas to back her up. Carrie and Sami keep sniping at each other and then Austin and Lucas join in as all. (As the referee calls a penalty for piling on). Sami cries, claiming she has changed and that is the reason she stopped the wedding. But no one believes her, with Carrie saying she stopped it only because SHE was being blackmailed. Lucas agrees with her, saying that Sami is lying…as ALWAYS. Meanwhile, EJ is in the hall with his ear pressed to the door, listening to every juicy bit of this. Lucas says that Sami has no conscious…he knows she didn’t stop the wedding out of guilt…it was because she was about to be exposed. All of them demand to know the truth as EJ yells through the door asking if everything is okay in there. One of the guys (Lucas or Austin) says “oh goody…EJ is here” (LOL). Sami opens the door as he looks around asking what happened. Lucas tells him it is none of his business as Austin asks him to come in and have some cake (ROFL). Carrie adds insult to injury, asking him to come in and get to know the REAL Sami. Sami tells him to just leave and as she shuts the door, EJ chuckles. Sami tells the others, that this is not ALL her fault…and reminds them that Lexie is the one who came up with the lie and even after Abe learned the truth about her, she did NOT come clean and tell Carrie the truth. But Carrie says she knows it all started with Sami…her SISTER. She says that all Sami has ever done is torture her and she is not taking it anymore…she is going to let everyone know what she has done and she will be to the rest of the family what she is to HER…NOTHING. With that, Carrie and Austin leave. Later, Sami and Lucas are cleaning up the mess and Sami talks about getting Will another cake. But Lucas tells her to forget it, he and Will celebrate later. He asks her who was blackmailing her and she says she doesn’t know. But he doesn’t believe her and can’t believe he trusted her yet again only to be betrayed. He says he is DONE caring for her. She says there is no excuse for what she did but she always believed that Lucas could see some good in her as she apologizes profusely. He tells her this time he is moving out as she pleads with him not to, saying the must stop hurting Will. About that time, he walks in asking what is going on. Sami tries to explain it away but Will asks what did SHE do THIS time. Lucas says “I’m sorry son…but I can’t live here anymore.”

On the Rooftop of the Penthouse Grill (?)…Kate and Roman are having drinks. She asks for his help to stop Sami for ruining Lucas’s life again. Roman isn’t too thrilled to hear her Sami-bashing as she informs him that Sami and Lucas are living together again. Sarcastically, Roman asks, what should I do arrest her? Kate says that’s not funny, but Roman reminds her that they are not kids…they don’t need their permission. She starts on Sami again when Roman tells her he is getting tired of hearing it and points out that maybe it’s HER sons that are the problem. She asks him to help keep Sami away from Lucas and he tells her that he has more important things to do and that she is capable of manipulating her kids’ lives all by herself (Way to go Roman!) He says that sooner or later, Sami will learn. As he goes to leave, Kate throws her trump card…saying that Will will be the one to suffer, yet again. She says that Sami and Lucas are toxic to Will and that is the reason he ran away. Roman sits back down, asking if she has any ideas. She says that Marlena could help…IF she wasn’t too busy helping everyone else (oooh, low blow). Roman says he will talk to her as Kate suggests that maybe this is a way for him to get back into Marlena’s life, but he says that is not what this is about. He leaves, promising to talk to Marlena.

After Roman leaves…EJ shows up. She asks him if he was successful in his quest (to seduce Sami) and he says no…his plan with Sami may be over. He tells her that Sami, Lucas, Austin and Carrie got into it, this thrilling Kate. He tells her that he noticed that Sami was acting different…completely vulnerable. Kate is upset that he left her and Lucas alone, but she wants details. He tells her that he is sure that Sami and Lucas are finished this time, but Kate isn’t so sure…noting that Lucas has always had a soft spot for Sami. EJ offers to distract Sami so Kate can take Lucas out to dinner and talk to him. Then upon his return, he would find him and Sami in bed together…that would seal the deal. Kate starts thinking that maybe EJ is just a bit too enthusiastic over Sami and admits that it is annoying her. She thinks that maybe EJ has more to his game that he isn’t telling her. He tells her to come closer and he will tell her…as he begins to nuzzle her neck.

Carrie and Austin…go to Chez Rouge (?) as Carrie’s mouth is still flapping about Sami and Lexie. Austin says that Sami never pays for her deeds and she will get away with it…yet again. But Carrie is hell-bent on Lexie going down as well for her part in this. She feels as she was betrayed by Lexie as both a doctor AND a friend (although she does admit she made some dumb choices herself). She says that both Sami and Lexie feel no remorse for what they did…they hurt her and she wants them to feel the same pain she does. She says she lost her self-respect and feels she can never trust anyone again. But Austin tells her that she can trust him and makes a promise that he will never lie or cheat on her as he makes a toast. Carrie doesn’t know how she can face Sami again without punching her in the face, so Austin suggests they leave Salem after they get married…maybe go to Europe. Carrie loves the idea…but says she has some unfinished business with Lexie Carver first.

Patrick and Hope…go to the Penthouse Grill (?) for drinks (she is having milk) as he asks what’s going on. She whines how she fears losing Shawn and him being self-destructive. Bo walks in wanting to Hope, but Patrick tells him to leave her alone. Bo informs him that this is between him and HIS WIFE. Patrick steps away and Hope tells Bo that he shouldn’t have followed her there but he says he needs to talk to her. She tells him that they have had this conversation many times and she is done talking about it. But he asks her to please listen. He tries to explain saying that she was about how he cut her and Shawn off after Zack’s death. He talks about how he misses Zack and how he let him down. He says he is only trying to fix his mistakes…by helping Chelsea. Hope says she (Chelsea) needs pay for her own mistakes. Bo says if he had it to do over, Chelsea would be in jail right now. Hope says she has needed him so many times and he has let her down…she just can’t risk it anymore. Bo tells her that Patrick is dangerous and begs her to stay away from him and that he is only trying to protect her. But she refuses to believe him, saying that Bo’s mistrust of Patrick is personal. Patrick comes over to get Hope but Bo grabs her and won’t let her go, begging her to listen to him. Patrick calls him obsessed and tells him to never lay a hand on Hope again. They get into a shoving match and the fists start flying, with Bo clocking Patrick in the mouth, as Hope is yelling at them to stop. She gets in between them and breaks them up, telling them she has had enough and wants to leave. Patrick says he needs police protection but Bo spits that Hope needs protection from Patrick. Roman walks in asking “what da hell” is going on (lol). Patrick demands that Bo be arrested for assault. Bo admits to hitting him so Roman tells Bo he can give his statement at the station. Bo refuses to go so Roman cuffs him and reads his rights. Bo begs Roman to get someone to keep an eye on Hope as she watches, crying. Patrick sneers at Bo…as the previews show…

Kate (to Lucas): Why don’t you come stay with me…I have a big suite…(Sami): No way in hell…

Lexie (to Carrie): What’s your question?...(as Carrie says, through clenched teeth): How the HELL do you live with yourself?...

Hope (to Patrick): I am so sorry about everything…(Patrick): No, maybe I should just stay away…

Abe (yelling at Bo): You are out of control…you are hereby relived of your duty…

Belle gets conflicting advice from both her parents, while Hope once more has trust issues with Bo, and Sami’s role in Carrie eventually choosing to marry Lucas is revealed to all.

THE PENTHOUSE

Belle thanks her parents for babysitting, then rants on and on about Victor and others not telling her that Shawn was the father of Claire. She goes on about her best friend Mimi, her mother-in-law Kate, and Bonnie, too, all conspiring to keep the information from her, allowing Philip & Claire to spend all those months bonding. She claims her life is now ruined, she has nothing. John reminds her she still has Claire. Belle wonders what she should do. John signals Marlena to leave them alone, so she makes an excuse and leaves the room. John advises his daughter to do absolutely nothing. To just take some time for herself to get off the roller coaster ride, step back and chill. She wonders if this is like him, when he took the rifle into the church when Marlena & Alex were going to get married, intending to blow his head off. John agrees it was rash, and just says to do as he says, not as he does. LOL. Marlena returns, John gets a phone call and leaves. Her advice is to seize the moment, before the moment passes you by. Tell Shawn how she feels. John returns and tells them about Shawn, the boat and rescue. (Now, WHY would that get reported to him?) Belle decides to leave and find Shawn. John & Marlena talk a bit about Belle, with John saying one never knows what is on kids’ minds. Marlena asks if he can tell what is on hers, as they kiss.

THE LOCKHART HOUSE, OR WHOEVER IT BELONGS TO.

Chelsea fills Patrick in on Shawn’s misadventure, telling him that now would be a perfect time to make a move on Hope, she will need a shoulder to cry on. He seems to not be interested, telling her she knows nothing about the way to go about this. She tries to convince him, but no dice and he leaves. (Ha, like we believe him!). Now Kate arrives, giving Chelsea what for about her little caper as a prostitute, and that is not the way to get her parents together. Chelsea replies she was only doing what Kate had told her to do. They go back and forth, but with a smirk on her face, Chelsea informs Kate that the three of them are to go to therapy…..as a family. Ah, now Kate gets it. Chelsea purposely got herself arrested so her parents would have to join together to come to her rescue. Kate asks her if Billie knows this. No, of course not. Chelsea calls Kate her mentor, and knows Kate can teach her a lot.

THE HARBORMASTER’S OFFICE

No sign of the harbormaster, as Hope once more lights into Bo for his failure to pay attention to his family. She rants about him letting Shawn take the boat out, but Bo protests that their son has been on the water all his life. Hope angrily tells him that just because you call him sailor man doesn’t make him a sailor. Shawn steps in, telling his mom it was his fault, that he did not follow the rules Bo had set down. Hope ignores him, asking Bo where he was while his son was fighting for his life. Bo replies that he was at the police station on police business. Uh, oh. Wrong answer, as Hope snarls that she knows exactly what he was doing - preventing Chelsea from getting booked as a prostitute. Cue Shawn and Willow exchanging “looks”. Shawn again protests, trying to take blame, but Hope will have none of it, telling him this is between his father and her. She tells Bo that Chelsea is a user, constantly manipulating him, and he always, always chooses her over Hope & Shawn. Now Patrick arrives, and Bo is ticked off. He tells Patrick that this is a private family matter and to go. Patrick proclaims he just wanted to be sure everyone was all right, and does leave. Hope continues to rant at Bo, telling him that she will never trust him again, that he let her down once more, yada, yada. (We have heard it all before, and it is getting tiresome..IMO…20 plus years of marriage and Hope ignores it all). She leaves.

Bo now scolds Shawn, who takes full responsibility for everything. He promises that if the insurance doesn’t cover the boat, he will repay Bo, if it takes the rest of his life. (yeah, right!). Willow tells Bo that she had distracted Shawn, so was her fault. Bo asks if she ever sailed before, and no she hadn’t, but it was such a rush. Bo tells her that Shawn has, and he knows his way around a boat, that he has to stay focused and aware at all times. Bo had given him just one rules, not to take the boat out beyond the buoy. And yet Shawn did. If he had paid attention, they would have been safe. Bo blames Shawn completely, but forgives him, saying something about losing his boat. (so does this mean no more Fancy Face III?).

Outside on the pier, Patrick joins Hope, pestering her about going to Chicago for the weekend. She doesn’t want to go, but finally agrees. She warns him though, that she does not trust him completely, and that if he gives her any cause, it won’t be Bo who takes care of him, she will do it herself. They leave for Chez Rouge for a glass of wine and some cocoa, as a spying Chelsea steps out from behind some boxes, with a very satisfied grin on her face. (WHY are there always a pile of boxes on the pier? So convenient, huh? LOL) She spots Bo coming and hides again. He is calling Hope’s name, and not finding her, calls her cell, leaving a message saying he loves her. Inside the office, Willow tells Shawn she is sorry about everything, but sailing in a typhoon was such a rush. Shawn tells her it was a squall, not a typhoon, but she goes on and on, talking about the helicopter overhead, then whispers in his ear about what would have made it more perfect. They begin to kiss……as the camera pans over to the window, where Belle stands outside, looking in at them.

SAMI’S APARTMENT

Sami brings in a huge cake…..with the words “Way to Go, Sport” written on it. It seems Will made the basketball team, and Lucas even bought him some new cool BB shoes. Will’s jersey number (8) is on the cake…..(Lucas mentions Kobe Bryant…assume he is a pro BB player, lol). The doorbell rings (since when?? Thought everyone just knocked?) It is Austin (who badly needs a shave) and Carrie. Seems they came to see Lucas. Carrie has annulment papers. After they both sign, everything will be over and both free. They all have a few words, but Lucas agrees to sign. Just then, the Black Glove slips a note under Sami’s door. Lucas sees it, grabs it first. He reads and stares at Sami. He cannot believe what he read, and refuses to let Sami see, as he shows it to Austin & Carrie, who are shocked. Carrie tells Sami it says that she forced Lexie to tell Carrie that a child they might have would be born with birth defects. Now all three verbally attack Sami. They cannot believe she would do such a thing. Austin questions Carrie as to if this is why she rejected him. She says yes, she knew he wanted to have a child of his own. Austin yells at Lucas that he is not guilt free, that he knew Carrie had High Style and did not tell him, so he could go after Carrie himself, even though he knew how Austin felt. Sami tells Carrie she has been true to form, she cheated on Austin with Mike, and now cheated on Lucas with Austin. Everyone is yelling at Sami, and she finally admits the truth, telling how she blackmailed Lexie by saying she would tell Abe about her and Tek. Carrie is ranting at Sami, who gives it right back, telling Carrie she dumped Austin because she wanted a perfect child, and only married Lucas for his sperm. “Shut up” screams Carrie, “I’m gonna kill you”, as she lunges forward, grabbing Sami by the throat. And the previews show…….

Kate: There’s more to this plan that you are not telling me. EJ: Why don’t you come a little closer and I’ll tell you. Next preview has EJ nuzzling Kate’s ear.

Carrie: I’m gonna let everyone know exactly what you did. (She is saying this to Sami, whose face is a bit dirty and has some cake frosting on it. Am guessing there is a sisterly cat fight. LOL)

Patrick to Bo: Don’t you ever lay a hand on this woman again, you hear me? Bo immediately attacks Patrick, as Hope yells…….”Bo!”

CHEZ ROUGE
Tek keeps insisting that Lexie should marry him. She refuses, saying she loves her husband, unbelieving Tek’s persistence. Abe holds his temper, but tells Tek to leave. Tek refuses to without a firm answer from Lexie. Lexie tells him NO, but he doesn’t give up. Abe asks if he has a death wish and Tek is ready to take him on. He dances around them. Abe privately talks quietly to Lexie, staying calm, but angry. Lexie warns him that the press can’t learn about this and asks for 5 minutes to talk to Tek alone. He reluctantly agrees as she takes her coat and tells Tek they’re just stepping outside to talk 1 to 1. Outside Tek insists he loves her and is better for her than that old man. He knows if he got her alone, she’d change her mind (oh gag me, LOL). Lexie tells him she thinks it’s just because Tek can’t take rejection and says this is harrassment. He accuses her of being scared of being the sexy wonderful woman they both know she can be. (Amazing how calm and dry it is outside Chez Rouge when Shawn and Willow are dealing with a storm not that far away). He tells her she’ll still be young and sexy and pushing Abe around in a wheelchair. Lexie slaps him, calling him a bastard. Abe walks out saying times up as Lexie tells Tek that their affair is OVER and to make sure he understands she’s serious, she will have Mickey Horton (who we never see) draw up a restraining order for Tek to stay 40 ft. from her. Tek can’t believe she’s serious, but Abe insists she is and to listen to her. If Tek does come near her, then it’ll give him grounds to kick him off the force for good. He tells Lexie they should step inside for dinner now (still no rain or wind in Salem?).

Inside, Hope and Belle are having dinner. Belle admits almost not accepting Hope’s dinner invitation after losing both the baby, her husband and now…. Hope relates, saying she’d have given her life to save Zack and takes Belle’s hand. Belle tells Hope that Mimi knew about the baby and angry after all of the things Mimi’s accused her of. Hope reminds her that she still has a beautiful daughter and parents that adore her. Belle says Marlena wants her to stay at the Penthouse for a few days, but she has to grow up and like her mother, be responsible for her life. Hope says Shawn will help her raise Claire, but Belle doubts that judging by his recent behavior. Hope tells Belle how furious Shawn was at Mimi and even filed for joint custody. Hope says he dropped the law suit as he thought it was the best thing for her and Claire and loves them. She talked to Shawn and knows he loves Belle and if he knew she felt as strongly, would fight for her. Hope pays the bill and puts the receipt in her purse (nice touch) as she encourages Belle not to give up on Shawn. She asks Belle to tell him how she truly feels. She offers to walk Belle to her car (Belle said her parents were babysitting, another nice touch), but Belle has to stop by the ladies room first. Hope offers to wait, but Belle insists she go on. Mimi calls Hope as she’s leaving the restaurant. She tells her that she’s worried about Shawn and had tried to get Bo’s help first, but he had to deal with getting Chelsea off the hook for prostitution charges and needed to confront her with Billie before he had time to deal with Shawn’s problem (yes, it’s time for Mimi to LEAVE SALEM!) Needless to say, Hope’s not pleased with the way Mimi puts it (even if it is true). Mimi said she already called the Harbor Master’s office, but doesn’t think they took her seriously. Hope said she’ll call too. Mimi said she’s heading to the Harbor Master’s office and Hope said she’ll meet her there. She hangs up saying “damn you Brady, damn it!” as she makes a call. She and Mimi talk again and Mimi cites again how Bo was too busy helping Chelsea to help with Shawn. Hope mumbles and calls Bo’s cell. She updates him on how the Harbor Master can’t reach the FF3 and if he cares at all about his son, he’ll meet her at the Harbor Masters office. He says of course he does and tells Billie what’s going on as he rushes out. She tells him she’ll take care of Chelsea.

Earlier, Victor joins Kate in the lobby of Chez Rouge, not having good news to report. Philip has cleared all his things out of the loft and Niko tracked Philip’s credit card. He flew to NYC and there’s no trace of him after that. They both are worried about if he’ll ever forgive them. Victor expected Philip to confront them after Shawn did. Kate calls Shawn a self destructive hothead, saying they raised their son better than that. Victor calmly retorts, so he just took off AGAIN. Kate says this was just like Rex leaving (hmmm, see a pattern here Kate?) and at least she can talk to him now and then (gee Kate, never learned your lesson with Rex, huh? And where the heck is Cassie???) Victor said they’ll find Philip and hope to make amends and have Philip forgive them. Stepping inside the dining room they see Belle with Hope and she asks, but what about everybody else? He offers to speak with Belle when Kate says she knows that Belle won’t want to talk with her. Kate gets a call that she’s needed urgently for something and can’t do dinner after all. She leaves after asking Victor to call if he hears anything about Philip. He says they’ll find him. He tells Belle they need to talk as she strolls through the restaurant alone. They talk in the middle of the restaurant as he tries to apologize (saying he doesn’t do it very often), but she blasts him with ruining their lives and how much her parents even respected him. This wasn’t a corporate take over. She expected this from Kate, but she was named after his daughter even. Victor looks properly chastised. He said he knew Philip had gone through so much and did it for him. She tells him it backfired not only for Philip, but he devastated his grandson and made her a single mother. He offers his help, but she claims to live on the streets before taking his money or help (as she returns to her parents penthouse, LOL). She tells him business or family, all he knows is how to destroy people!

FANCY FACE
In the cabin we hear the radio issue a weather warning to for ships and sailing vessels to return to the harbor, but Shawn and Willow are going at it on deck where they can’t hear. Later, when water splashes on them and the boat rocks a little, Willow comments on it. Shawn sits up, looks out in the water and says, I think we have a problem (so much for “sailor man” having traveling around the world on the sail boat, LOL.) Shawn finishes dressing and finally lets his brains rule his body as he realizes they went beyond the buoy. She laughs about it even as he rushes to take down the sails and salutes him saying aye aye. He orders her down below and she wants to stay on top and help him, but he pushes her below and shuts the door. He tries the boat engine and it won’t start. He joins her below and tells her what’s going on and after looking at the navigational display (see picture) warns her that it’s going to get worse. He tries calling the coast guard and due to the storm, they don’t hear him. He orders Willow to keep trying while he goes up top. We return to Willow calling for help as Shawn’s on deck securing things when he gets washed overboard. She comes on deck and finds him gone, calling his name. We see Shawn pull himself onboard the ship as she helps (wow) and tries to order her back down below..but she tells him she reached the coast guard and they’re coming for them. A helicopter magically appears and despite the storm and wind, drops the seat on a rope right down to them (yowza) as he helps Willow onto it.

COP SHOP
Chelsea is brought in by the undercover cop we’ve never seen (French or Italian accent?) He’s anxious to book this “hooker”, but Bo stops him, saying she’s not a hooker, she’s my daughter and asks for a couple of minutes with her. Chelsea smirks, (apparently being arrested has gotten common place to her). Mimi steps outside per Bo’s request and he learns Chelsea was hooking near the Brady Pub. Both he and the other cop know it was her first time and Bo is even more irate she did it in front of her grandparents pub. He talks privately with the detective, asking for him to drop booking her and the guy agrees, saying next time she’s going to jail! Billie finally speaks up saying there won’t be a next time! Bo suggests they take it back to Billie’s house to deal with instead of the office (about time) but Mimi insists on speaking with Bo. He tells Billie and Chelsea he’ll meet them there and Mimi explains she’s worried about Shawn (and Willow) on the boat out sailing in the bad weather. Bo calms Mimi, saying Shawn promised not to go past the last buoy. Mimi reminds him that’s when Shawn’s thinking straight, but he’s not now. Bo promises AFTER he takes care of Chelsea’s problem, he’ll call the harbor master (and a 2 minute call takes THAT long Bo?)

REED HOMESTEAD
Billie and Chelsea return home as the brat throws her purse in the room. Billie tears into her saying she was doing it because Max dumped her. Bo walks in and she calls him Daddy, but he’s not hearing that “daddy” thing. Chelsea rags on about not having a family after the Bensons died and blabbers on about the one eyed pirate going after her mother and Bo and his wife, yada yada..and she’s neglected. Bo shuts her up and is wise to her. He knows exactly what she’s pulling and calls her on it (about damn time!) He says since he and Billie learned she was their daughter, she hasn’t wanted for nothing and the only reason hookers do what they do is for money. He orders her to her room and Billie yells to get that make up off too. She asks Bo how it’s going with Hope and he thought okay, but Hope is still considering a future with Patrick. Billie says it’s because he’s the father of her baby and that’s the only reason why. Bo’s cell rings and he glances at the display, but doesn’t answer. Billie tells him that Chelsea has a dream family idea and doesn’t realize what they had is over. Bo turns and asks if she thinks that’s true. Billie confirms she believes he and Hope belong together in her head and her heart now and apologizes for causing problems earlier. He asks if she’s going after another married man now that she’s given up on him? Billie protests, not knowing how they stand, but she won’t stand in the way of true love…she’s learned her lesson. They hope her daughter has learned hers. He suggests therapy and Billie feels they should go as a family. He agrees. Inside Chelsea listens, taking it all in. Billie leaves the door open after Bo leaves (gee..the trees are blowing a little) and tells Chelsea about the therapy. She acts surprised, but agrees saying she doesn’t have a choice..smirking as she looks away from Billie. Billie tells her about her rotten childhood and what her father made her do (drugs, prostitution, porno flicks (I knew Nichole did that, forgot that Billie had too). All Chelsea hears is Billie had a worse childhood than she did. Billie insists she supports Bo’s getting back with Hope and Chelsea promises not to do anything else to ruin Bo’s chances of reuniting with Hope. Billie leaves the room and Chelsea calls Patrick, telling him to get right over there as she just found out something he’ll want to know.

HARBOR MASTERS OFFICE
Hope and Mimi walk in the HM’s office and are told they were both rescued and only wet, otherwise fine. Mimi leaves, telling Hope she can’t bear to see Shawn with Willow again. Moments later they walk in and Hope hugs Shawn, saying she couldn’t bear to lose another son. Willow excitedly tells Hope that is was like the ultimate fear factor episode, especially when they were hoisted into the helicopter. Hope asks why Shawn took the boat out, saying Bo told him he could live on it, but never would let him go out in it. Shawn insists Bo did, any time he wanted (leaving out the part about not going past the buoy). Bo walks in and Hope is furious, saying their son is safe, no thanks to him….

Summary: Lexie gives Tek the brush-off, but he just will NOT take no for an answer…Chelsea is busted…Stephanie tries to bridge the gap between her parents…Abe warns Bo to lay off Lockhart…Shawn and Willow find themselves in danger.

At the Hospital…Steve and Billie arrive to see Stephanie as he frets that he will screw up being a dad to her. Billie reassures him he will do fine. He goes into see Stephanie as she opens her eyes and smiles. He has a white teddy bear for her (wearing a patch…awww). She is thrilled that he remembers her. Then she sees Billie in the doorway and asks WHY is SHE there? Stephanie is a bit rude to her so she steps out into the lobby. He doesn’t want to discuss Billie with Stephanie, saying she is his friend. So instead they talk about the memories he has of Stephanie as a baby. She begs him to give it a chance with mom and he says he can’t make things work that just don’t feel right. But she is sure he feels something…some kind of attraction. He changes the subject as she asks him why he does that. He tells her he isn’t too good at the daddy thing and she tells him that it is his job to give her a huge allowance and spoil her rotten. He says he will keep all the bums away from her and she tells him that there is only one guy that she is interested in, but he doesn’t seem to have interest. Steve knows it’s Max and tells her that they practically had to drag him away from the hospital. But, she points out, he hasn’t been back since. Outside, Kayla has arrived and runs into Billie and the space between them is cold enough to make ice cubes. Billie starts in on her about what Kayla wants and Kayla says she does NOT want to be having this conversation with her. Billie assures Kayla that if Steve wants his life back, she doesn’t intend to stand in his way, but Kayla is skeptical, reminding her how she came between Bo and Hope. Billie takes offense to that and says that Steve has no one…no support system at all, she is his friend and will not abandon him. Billie gets a text message and rushes off upset (about Chelsea…see below). Steve asks Stephanie if she wants to rough Max up but she says no…but thanks for offering anyway, lol. He says he is trying to get a handle on this daddy thing as she says she had always dreamed of having a dad and is sure it will all get better. Kayla comes into the room with magazines for Stephanie and tells Steve that Billie had to leave. Steve offers to go get Stephanie a cheeseburger from Buddy’s and that sounds good to her. Kayla offers to run interference with the nurse and Stephanie suggests cheeseburgers all around. After he leaves, Stephanie says “it’s happening, mom”. Kayla says it’s ONLY cheeseburgers, but Stephanie says “it’s a beginning”.

On a Street Corner…Chelsea is hanging out when some guy comes by asking if she is for sale. He pulls out some cash, but she tells him she is out of his price range. He won’t give up and gets forceful with her. Another guy comes by (Rick) and helps her out and chases the guy off. He talks about being lonely and she asks if he wants some company. She names her price of $500 (she sure does think highly of herself, huh?) as he whips out the money…along with his badge and tells her she is under arrest for solicitation. He reads her the Miranda rights but she is trying to talk her way out of it. He says he knows the story…she is from a good family and her folks will just die when they find out. To herself, she thinks “that’s the plan”…as he cuffs her.

At the Pub…Lexie meets with Tek. He is trying to kiss her but she turns away. It seems she had called this meeting to dump him, telling him she is going back to Abe, who has forgiven her. She swears she never stopped loving Abe and even though Tek swears he loves her, she tells him to leave her alone. He can’t understand why she is doing this, but she says she is trying to put her family back together…her heart belongs to Abe and it always has. Tek tries to get her to admit that she loves him, but she says she must make a choice…and that choice is Abe. He says that Abe can’t even make love to her, but she says not true…Abe is everything she wants in a man. She tells him that it is over…he must accept it and move on. With that she leaves.

Later on…Abe and Lexie meet at Chez Rouge for a romantic dinner. She tells him about her meeting with Tek and how he didn’t take the news very well. But, she says she made it clear that her future was with Abe. She says it is time for them to live happily ever after and they both promise that they will never let the other go. They make a toast to their future as Lexie says that nothing will ever come between them again…just as Tek walks up and says “think again”. Abe is furious, as Lexie cannot believe he is there. She asks did he NOT understand what she told him? He says she said all the right words, but he knows that she still loves him. They almost get into a fist fight as she has to step in between them and break them up. Abe tells him to get out of there…as Tek pulls out a ring and says “marry me, Lexie” (as Abe looks as if he is about to have a stroke).

At the Docks…Mimi and Willow are on their way to the boat. Mimi doesn’t want to be a third wheel and tries to leave, but Willow talks her into going. They stop and Mimi sees the Fancy Face 3 and (with a THUD) it hits her and she realizes that Shawn is the one Willow has been going on and on about. He steps out, asking why Mimi is there. Mimi turns to Willow and says “meet my husband”. Mimi is furious and says that it is a small world, then lights into Willow, telling her that Shawn was just playing the role of the knight in shining armor just to get laid. She rants at them, asking what is this…their version of ‘Pretty Woman’ and calls Willow a slut. Shawn tells her to shut up and leave her alone. They all argue back and forth as Willow says she just wanted to be Mimi’s friend…she didn’t know that Shawn was her husband. Mimi finally storms off in a huff as Shawn apologizes to Willow.

At the Cop Shop…Abe is busy investigating the case, trying to tie all the incidents together (Eve’s murder, threats against the Bradys, Marlena’s kidnapping, Sami’s threats, the accident at the race, Patrick) tracking down every lead. He is sure that there is something tying them all together. Another cop reminds him that if it was Patrick, then he is a magician…because he was locked up during the time of the race accident. Bo struts in, sure that Patrick is responsible, as Abe reminds him that he is off the case. Bo rants on, so Abe marches him into his office and rails him out for not following orders. Bo says he is not going to give up until Lockhart fries for murder. He refuses to walk away from the case and they argue as Abe says his personal feelings have clouded his view and that he has become a liability to the department. Abe says that if Patrick IS guilty…for them to have any chance of conviction…he can’t let anyone think that Bo railroaded Patrick…only because he slept with his wife (don’t they think that already?) Bo turns the tables and asks Abe how HE felt when he learned that Lexie slept with Tek. Abe admits that he feels the same as Bo does right now…but he didn’t use his position to go after him (excuse me Abe…but didn’t you threat to FIRE Tek???) Abe warns him that if he doesn’t lighten up, he could lose his job AND Hope. Because of that statement, Bo realizes that Abe has talked to Hope about all of this and is upset that Abe didn’t try to help turn her against Patrick. Bo says he just wants to rip Patrick out of Hope’s life. Abe says he can’t do that…and he WILL be watching every move that Bo makes. With that, Bo storms out of the office.

Later, Mimi comes rushing in, wanting to talk to Bo about Shawn…telling him he is in trouble. Bo asks for the ‘Readers Digest’ version when Mimi starts rambling. She fills him in and learns that Bo has already met Willow. She informs Bo that Willow is a WHORE…a prostitute who sells her body (lol, as Bo tells her he KNOWS what a prostitute is). She tells him that they took the boat out and this worries Bo because he heard that there is a storm brewing. He is going to talk to the harbor master but before he can do that, Billie comes rushing in babbling about Chelsea. Bo hasn’t heard this latest development and is shocked to learn she was arrested. Billie informs him that one of her friends on the force sent her a text message and gave her the heads up. About that time, the cops drag her in as Billie & Bo’s jaws simultaneously hit the floor and Chelsea looks over and sheepishly says “hi mom”.

Back on the boat…Shawn shows Willow the boat and she suggests they go for a sail. They take the boat out and talks about sailing around the world with his parents when he was a baby. He also gives her some pointers on fishing (with her almost falling overboard). Later, they start kissing and end up making out on the deck. It starts raining and they go at it again. Downstairs, we hear the radio issuing a storm warning for all boats to return to port as we see the approaching storm on radar…and the previews show…

Tek (to Lexie): You are making a mistake and you are going to realize it…as she hauls off and slaps him, calling him a BASTARD…

(Victor): If there is anything I can ever do…(Belle): I’d sooner live on the streets than take any help from you…

Hope (on the phone with Bo): If you care any at all about your son…you will get her NOW…

Shawn (to Willow): Tell them we are disabled and give them the location…

Willow (on the radio): Please…we need help…please (as we see a wave wash over Shawn and carry him off the boat)…

It’s a new morning in Salem as families gather to talk about their lives…at the hospital, pub, Basic Black, Sami’s Apartment, Chez Rouze, and the garage…busy show.



MAX’S GARAGE
I’m sorry to say Shawn wakes up with Willow on a cot at the garage. Willow can’t stop thanking Shawn for helping her find a job and place to live as he returns the compliments for being such a good listener and a friend. She questions if that’s how he thinks of her, touched as she hasn’t had a friend in a while. She kisses him, asking if friends do this. Later, after more extracurricular activity, she has to get to Chez Rouge as he hears Bo calling out for him outside. Bo walks in (door’s not locked?) and Shawn’s shirtless (of course) and buckling his belt as he didn’t dress as fast as Willow. Shawn introduces him to Willow and Bo’s expression is priceless as Willow tells Bo she can see where Shawn gets his good looks and that he’s raised a good son. Bo replies “sometimes I think so”, LOL….as Willow leaves. He asks Shawn “just what the hell are you doing?” As Shawn calmly folds blankets, Bo tears into him. He asks about Mimi and Shawn says they’re through. So, Bo said, you have sex with someone on a cot? Were you wearing protection? Shawn snips back he didn’t give her a baby. Bo retorts that that’s not what he’s worried about, he’s more worried about what she gave him (very good point!)
Shawn questions why things have happened and Bo calmly tells him he loves him and will always be there for him. Shawn asks like when he was there for Zack or there for Chelsea? Bo calmly knows Shawn is angry with him and understands that and thinks they can work through this, the 3 of them (including Hope).

Later the two talk about living arrangements. Bo doesn’t like the idea of Shawn living in the back room of a garage. Shawn can’t afford the Salem Inn and won’t move home or on the Fancy Face and live with Bo…they aren’t that close yet. Bo tells him he’ll move into the pub (getting crowded I bet with Kayla, Steve, Stephanie there as well..probably Frankie and Max too now that J&J are gone?...and just how IS Stephanie doing???) Shawn agrees as long as there aren’t any conditions, including who he sleeps with. Bo said only one condition, that Shawn doesn’t take her out beyond the last buoy and Shawn agrees. Bo tosses the keys to him and Shawn thanks him. Bo tells his son to let him know if he needs anything, a few bucks, a beer, whatever, to call him.

BRADY PUB
Earlier Hope and Bo meet at the pub. Putting her keys in her purse, she’s worried about Shawn and thinks she should talk to him alone. Bo disagrees, saying families need to stick together. Patrick walks into the pub which raises the hairs on Bo’s neck. Patrick smirks, saying he’s been found innocent and needs to speak with Hope. Bo tells him he’s not leaving her with a cop killing stalker, but Hope calmly asks Bo to go find Shawn as he needs him more than she does right now. Bo obliges and warns Patrick that he’s watching him as he steps out. Patrick says he doesn’t have anything to hide. Patrick sees Bo stop to speak briefly with Lisa (the waitress) who glances over at the table as Bo’s on the way out and asks Hope if she thinks he’s deputizing her (LOL). Hope smiles saying that Bo doesn’t give up when he thinks he right about something. He didn’t want to upset her and has stayed away til now..but he wants to be with her and their child and determined to do whatever that takes. He’s tired of being passive. He asks her to go away with him to prove they can be happy together. He agrees to separate rooms if she wants it that way, just a way to see if they have a future. She doesn’t want any place with memories involved. She still doesn’t agree, and says Shawn needs her now. He mentions Chicago and leaves to research restaurants there.

Abe joins Hope and she says she values his opinion. She tells him about her concern about being pregnant with Patrick’s baby and how Bo is convinced Patrick is a criminal. Abe tells her not guilty isn’t the same thing as innocent. Someone did kill Officer Michaels and is targeting the Brady’s. Until they have proof of who that is, everyone’s a suspect. Outside the pub Patrick talks to someone on his cell saying he’s got the money and asks what to do.

HOSPITAL
Lauren joins the apparently full time candystriper Bonnie at the hospital, agreeing to sell Bonnie her grandchild (aw, a Kodak moment). Bonnie will remortgage her restaurant and give her half the money now she promises. Later Mimi (looking very nice in a red jacket and plaid skirt) finds Bonnie working and says she had an appointment with the Director of HR at the hospital and found there were no jobs available (gosh, she got a meeting with the Director to talk about job openings?) Bonnie said she can work at Alice’s, but Mimi knows what Bonnie pays and needs more money than that. That opens the door for Bonnie to remind her about the money she could have gotten from baby Kirakis. Mimi protests Philip’s sperm was never meant to be with HER egg and a mistake. Bonnie smirks, knowing she’ll have that baby.

BASIC BLACK
EJ can’t believe he spent the night in Kate’s office. Buttoning up her blouse (different one) Kate tells him he should be flattered as she’s usually happy to show men the door after she’s gotten what she wants. He punts back with maybe she didn’t get all she wants which leads to another session (eww..sorry…he’s way too young for her). Later Chelsea barges in (no EJ) insisting she has to talk to Grandma Kate. Kate chides her for just barreling in without knocking first, saying she could have been in the middle of a ..business meeting. Chelsea glances around the office and wisely knows Grandma Kate was having sex in there and tells her so (gee..how many times did I ever say that to MY grandmother…) Kate sniffs that is not a proper thing to discuss with her, but Chelsea doesn’t give up and wants the details. EJ walks out of the bathroom, straightening his jacket and Chelsea gets her answers. The two exchange good mornings..knowing the other is wise to what’s going on. Chelsea is impressed with Kate’s ability to get what she wants and states she wants her parents back together (oh, paleeze, not again) Kate warns her to prepare herself as it might get ugly, but Chelsea doesn’t care. Kate asks what’s the strongest bond Bo and Billie share…and Chelsea knows it’s her. Chelsea remembers Sami telling her at the church that she’s a whore just like her grandmother. She smiles and leaves Kate guessing what she’s going to do.

SAMI’S HOUSE OF MEN
Lucas whines about the couch not being very comfortable as Sami yawns and grabs a cup of juice. She tries to ignore him, but finally warns him that if he pulls another stunt like he did the night before..he’s outta there. (hey Sami, your “date” slept with Lucas’ mother instead of you last night..give Lucas some slack, haha) Sami blasts him for letting Will get in the middle of their arguments. Lucas reminds her that Will is old enough to handle it. Lucas tells her he had a steamy dream about her and asks if she wants to know how it ended. She tells him on the couch where he’ll continue to wake up from them. Lucas tells her to go ahead and date EJ and he’ll deal with Will and the low points of his life. Sami doesn’t want a guilt trip from him, saying she can be there for Will and date EJ. Lucas insists that Sami listen to her libido and ignore Will, no problem. EJ calls from the hall and asks Sami if she always looks so beautiful in the morning. Lucas rolls his eyes as EJ tells her he heard she was looking for him at work. They kiss. Sami points out Lucas is there and EJ walks in, calling Lucas “Captain Stink Bomb”. Lucas reminds Sami about Will’s schedule and leaves for work (in suit, tie and carrying a brief case! Amazing!) EJ tells Sami he appreciates the logic behind what Lucas and Will did and she tells him it won’t happen again…because she can’t go out with him. She tells him her priority is Will. EJ says Lucas is manipulating her and she denies being in love with Lucas. He figures she’s still punishing herself for blackmailing Lexie. Sami insists she has to grow up and take responsibility and that’s what she’s going to do. She apologizes as EJ leaves. She hugs him (he doesn’t return it) saying she wants to stay friends. Outside he smirks after she closes the door.

CHEZ ROUGE
Must be next door to the garage as Willow is back there before Shawn answers Bo’s question, LOL. Maggie has met with Mimi and agreed to hire her as a waitress. Mimi mentions the awkward situation with her being Shawn’s Aunt and almost not coming there, but sweet Maggie says she loves Mimi too and everyone makes mistakes. She introduces her to Willow (first names only) and asks her to show Mimi the ropes. Willow compliments Mimi on her top and admits being new herself, happy to have someone else that’s new too. (come on Maggie, what are you thinking? You saw Willow and Shawn together too) We return to Willow showing Meems the ropes. Mimi knows how to use the credit card machine as she worked at Alice’s. Willow states she knows Alice’s as it was her old territory. Mimi thinks she was a sales rep, but Willow admits being a prostitute as she had to live on the street. Mimi can relate, saying her family had to do that too. Willow says it looks like she came a long way and Mimi mentions her husband just left her. She says her husband was in love with someone else when he left her. Willow explains to Mimi that she met an angel who helped her get the job at Chez Rouge and she’s now staying at the Y and even bought her own comforter and picture of a boat to put over her bed. Mimi’s face softens and appreciates how much that means, saying her place is filled with memories. Willow smiles hoping Mimi will find her own angel and Mimi tells her she thought she had. They both have a fresh start. Later Shawn calls and invites Willow over to his new digs, the Fancy Face III, to christen it. She asks to bring a new friend that needs cheering up and he isn’t happy about it, but agrees. Willow says they’ll cheer her up and send her home, then they can christen the boat. Willow invites Mimi to join her and she finally agrees to.

BACK TO BASIC BLACK..
Lucas is summoned to Kate’s office and chastised as to where he’s living. We learn he gave up his apartment, saying it had too many memories of Carrie. Kate isn’t happy, but Lucas says he knows what he’s doing.

CHELSEA, THE HOOKER
We see Chelsea is a sleazo outfit, weak ankles on the tall shoes as she poses at a mail box chanking on her gum.

BRADY PUB
Bo returns with smiles to tell Hope what happened. She’s concerned about Shawn living on the boat alone. Hope’s relieved and goes to check on Belle, saying she paid the bill. Abe tells Bo it’s been a long time since he’s seen Bo smile like that.

HOSPITAL
Patrick gives Dr. Bader an envelope of money. She slips it in her pocket and warns him that just because she altered Hope’s test results to make it appear that Patrick was the father, it doesn’t mean Hope won’t have other tests to determine paternity. Patrick’s confident no more tests will be done as he and Hope are leaving Salem…for good!

Summary: Mimi urges Belle to stop Philip from leaving town…Lucas’ admission catches Sami off-guard…Shawn visits Belle, then turns to Willa…and we learn that EJ has been in cahoots with Kate all along (in more ways than one...depending on how you define “cahoots”, LOL).

At Sami’s apartment…Sami does a double take and asks Lucas to repeat what he just said (about having feelings for her). He tells her again, which she cannot believe. Sami says he would still be with Carrie if he hadn’t caught her cheating and points out that he was clinging to her like plastic wrap. He admits it is true but claims he turned to Carrie because he couldn’t have Sami…she is the one he wants…always has. (EJ is listening to them from the hallway and says that “mummy isn’t going to be very happy” to hear this). Sami thinks that Lucas is just using her to get over Carrie, but he insists it is the other way around. Sami can’t believe him, but he says he loved Carrie in a peaceful, calm way…but Sami…she drives him CRAZY. (LOL). He says with her, she brings it ALL out…the good and the bad. She says she can’t go down that road with him again. But Lucas says she is the only one he wants, but she insists she IS over him…and has been for a long time. He tells her to look him in the face and tell him that, but she has trouble doing so, but finally tells him she doesn’t want him. Lucas is sure that she is only going out with EJ to make him jealous and she tells him he has one hell of an ego. She gets flustered, yelling at him to pack his things and get out…take a hike. About that time, Will comes charging into the room, yelling he KNEW she would ruing everything…she always does. If he had known this, he wouldn’t have come back home. Sami quickly starts trying to cover, saying he misunderstood. She stumbles around, and says she says she meant that they need to “get out” more often as a family. Lucas points out she told him to “pack up” and she says she meant “pack a picnic”. Lucas then prods her, saying she told him to “take a hike” (LOL at Sami trying to explain all this. Anyway, they end up planning a family outing the coming weekend, complete with a picnic and a hike. Will goes back to his room, a happy camper, as Sami is furious with Lucas and rushes out the door. After she is gone, Will comes out, Lucas telling him he did a great job and they high-five each other. Lucas tells him that this is only part of the plan. Will wants to know if this is for real…he is tired of being a yo-yo. He asks if Lucas thinks he and Sami truly belong together and Lucas says yes, he is sure.

Meanwhile, EJ pays Kate a visit at her office…giving her a report on how things went with Sami, and we learn that he is working for her to keep Lucas and Sami apart. He informs her that Lucas refuses to let Sami go. Kate is sure that all Sami has over Lucas is sex and she says she has overestimated EJ’s charms. But he says he understands how Lucas feels and tells her about how Lucas and Will ruined every one of his attempts to seduce Sami. Kate also learns (for the first time) that Lucas has moved in with Sami and is furious over it. She rants and raves about Sami as she encourages EJ to step it up and do whatever it takes to keep her away from Lucas. She asks just WHAT is it about Sami and men, and EJ says that everything about Sami says sex and he bets she is hot in the sack. Kate eludes to the fact that Sami isn’t the ONLY one who is hot in the sack and comes on strong to him, piquing his curiosity…as the get closer and start to kiss. There is a knock at her door as EJ scrambles into hiding and Kate opens the door to find Sami there, looking for EJ. Kate claims she doesn’t know where he is and Sami asks her to give him a message. Kate informs her she is NOT his messenger service and slams the door on Sami’s face…as Sami yells “BITCH”. After that EJ comes back out and Kate tells him she got rid of Sami…apparently Lucas isn’t the one Sami wants…she wants him. They start kissing again as EJ lays her across the desk and the porn music starts. (Almost too much for me to take so early in the morning, lol).

At the Loft…Mimi sees Philip in the hallway and he tells her he is leaving for good. She does her best to change his mind, but he is determined to leave Salem, saying Belle will be fine. Mimi says it’s all her fault but Philip reassures her that honestly, he doesn’t think Belle ever loved him. He informs her that it’s not because of Shawn, he dropped the custody suit and Belle was just looking for an excuse to get out of their marriage. She begs him to stay and he asks why and she admits it’s because it would ease her guilty mind. But Philip’s mind is made up and turns to go, telling Mimi he will miss her. He asks one thing of her, for her to remind Claire that he loves her and will always be his little girl, with that, he leaves, with Mimi chasing after him.

At the Penthouse…Belle and John are playing gin when Marlena suggests tea. Shawn arrives with a gift for Belle, explaining he bought it for her when she was in the hospital but didn’t get it to her. Marlena notices the bruise on his face and asks if he is ok. Not elaborating, he says he is fine and John suggests he and Marlena go out on the terrace. Once out there, Marlena admits that deep down she would like to see Shawn and Belle back together. John is glad she is home and she tells him she has a confession. Shawn takes a joke book out for Belle (how lame) and a stuffed turtle for Claire. He tells her he feels responsible for her losing the baby (because of the custody suit). He tells her he dropped it because Philip is a good guy and a great father to Claire and that he was too selfish to be that. He asks her what is it she wants. She says it is complicated…at first she was confused, but now she knows as she reaches for him. She gets woozy, but insists she is okay. She says she talked to Carrie (as Shawn has a flashback of what he overheard…out of context) and goes to leave. She tries to stop him, but he says the timing is off…and about a dozen other excuses. She is angry as she throws the stuffed turtle at him as he leaves. Later, she is awaken by the doorbell as Mimi comes over to tell her about Philip leaving town, and encourages her to stop him.

Out on the terrace…Marlena tells John that she was afraid that she would never see him again and it scared her. Now, being home, with him, Belle and Claire…the thought of leaving again terrifies her. He assures her that they all love her and is thrilled to have her home. She knows that and says that the feeling she had was so frightening…afraid of losing them. He asks how can he help her get over that and she tells him to just hold her…and never let go. Which he is happy to do. She asks if he is happy she is home and he says of course, but she knew that already. Later, inside, she finds a note from Belle about running an errand, asking them to listen for Claire. She cries…she is so happy to be home with him…Belle…their grandchild. She says this is the way it is supposed to be. John says it is a nice life. She says it is a WONDERFUL life…and she is never…ever…ever going to leave again, as she leads him upstairs.

At Chez Rouge…Shawn arrives to be greeted with a hug from Maggie. She has been worried about him and insists he take a seat and eat. She also says she owes him anyway for her new waitress, Willa. She sings her praises…even though Shawn forgot to tell her that she was a hooker. Maggie asks if he came by to see her or hoping to see Willa…hmmm…and he admits to both (Willa is standing nearby and smiles when she hears this). She comes over and says hi as Maggie reminds her that her shift is almost over and insists she sit with Shawn while she gets his food. She thanks him for all his help and asks if he is ok. Again, he doesn’t elaborate, telling her that his life is going wrong. She offers to make him feel better…because she wants to. She talks about how she imagines sex as a mini-vacation, like going to Bermuda (lol) and he says he has never been to Bermuda (rofl). He says ok, but on one condition…it is a date. He pulls out her chair, impressing her, as Maggie returns with his food…to go…and they leave together. Maggie turns and says “uh-oh”.

At the Airport…Belle and Mimi arrive as Mimi urges Belle to stop him, but Belle hesitates, saying she doesn’t know if it would be the right thing to do. Philip buys a one-way ticket (don’t know where to) and goes to board his plane. Mimi begs Belle to stop him, but she can’t, saying that Philip deserves better than she can give him…as we see Philip boarding the plane. Cut to a shot of Belle, with tears streaming down her face…as the previews show…

Sami: Lucas, I swear to God…if you pull another stunt like that again…you are out of here…

Chelsea (to Kate): I want my mom and dad back together again…and I am willing to stop at nothing until that happens…so what do I do?...

Patrick (to Hope): I want us to be together and I am prepared to do whatever it takes to make that happen…

Shawn (to Bo): Did you come here for any particular reason?...(Bo): Yea…I am worried about you and you obviously need help…before it’s too damned late…

Another wonderful and packed episode, with Lucas & Will succeeding in their sabotaging of Sami’s evening with EJ, Philip, Mimi…….and Belle making difficult decisions, while Shawn tells off his grandfather.

AT EJ’S APARTMENT, he is busily seducing Sami, assuring her that Lucas won’t be able to disturb them there. They are kissing and he is removing her jacket, as outside the window Lucas & Will are plotting to put a damper on the activities. Will worries, with all that they have done this evening, he may be just his mom. Lucas assures him that it is not genetic, and Will agrees he would not have thought of any of this on his own. He leaves, returning later with something in a bag. Lucas thinks it might be illegal, but will do the trick. Inside, Sami & EJ are going at it hot and heavy on the bed, when she smells something. EJ says it is smoke, they panic, and he tells her to get out the fire escape. However, he notes there is no heat at the door, so opens it, to a lot a smoke…coming from a stink bomb! Both are furious. Sprinklers have gone off (wonder why they did not go off in Lucas’s apt. when that fire started while he & Carrie were sleeping), both are wet. EJ is ready to tie into Lucas, but Sami says she will take care of it. She goes home, furious, and lights into both Lucas & Will, who are playing innocent on the sofa, with their big bowl of uneaten popcorn. Busted! EJ comes roaring in, tangling with Lucas, but Sami puts a stop to that. He tells them that the limberger cheese has baked into his heating system on his car, and all the electrical circuits have shorted out. He states further that Lucas is going to pay for everything, & that perhaps a few months in a juvenile detention center would do Will a world of good. Sami gets him to leave, so she can tie into “the boys” herself.

AT THE PENTHOUSE, Marlena brings Belle a big mug of chicken soup with the tiny little noodles she loves so much. Belle is greatful, but says she has to call Phil to come and get her so she can go home. Marlena tells her maybe she should stay a bit longer, that she has lots of thinking to do, and perhaps she should just think about things. Belle is thinking about Philip’s feelings, but Marlena asks if Philip would really want to be married to someone who loves someone else. Belle tells her mom how Shawn dropped the lawsuit, and doesn’t want either her or Claire, but Marlena tells her that perhaps Shawn was just thinking of her and the baby, and not wanting to cause problems. She urges Belle to decide, in her heart, what she wants.

AT THE LOFT, Philip says goodnight, sleep tight to Claire, as he closes the door. As he starts down, the doorbell rings. It is Mimi, who wants to talks about “their baby”. She informs him she thinks it would be best if they both signed away all rights to the baby to Lauren, who will be arriving shortly. She talks about her divorce, Shawn does not want the baby, and Lauren would either raise it or give it up for adoption. (This is hard to believe from EITHER Mimi or Phil). Lauren arrives with her notary and the papers. Philip seems a bit overwhelmed, but agrees and asks where do I sign. Both he & Mimi sign the papers, after which Lauren, the notary and Mimi all leave. Outside, Mimi thanks Lauren, and gives her the check. Inside the phone rings, and it is Belle. Phil thinks she is still at the hospital, but she tells him how her dad found her mom, and she got discharged and is at the penthouse. She wants him to bring Claire. Phil says she is sleeping, but Belle begs him.

Later, Philip arrives at the penthouse with Claire. Marlena takes her and goes into another room. Belle tells him she wants to stay at the penthouse for a few days, to sort things out. Phil asks if she is leaving him, and tells her not to prolong it, to let him know now. Belle tells him she is sorry. Philip says to give Claire a kiss from him, says a final Good-Bye…and leaves. Marlena comes out, and talks to Belle as she cries. Marlena comforts her, telling her that all will be o.k. and do you know why? (I do, it is cause Hogan Sheffer & Meg Kelly are writing now! LOL) Marlena assures Belle that their family will stick together and help each other.

Mimi arrives later, telling Belle that she & Shawn are getting a divorce, that there is no hope of them being together and she will not interfere in any way with Belle getting together with Shawn. She informs her that Philip & she signed away their rights to the baby Lauren is carrying, and there is nothing to stand in the way of Belle and Shawn being together.

AT THE HOSPITAL, Bonnie is assisting an elderly male patient back to his room, flirting outrageously, as Mimi arrives. When Mimi tells her about signing away rights to the baby, Bonnie has a fit….her meal ticket to the Kiriakis fortune is down the tubes. Mimi scolds her for only thinking about the money….and leaves. Bonnies makes a cell phone call, sticking a cigarette in her mouth, right under the sign saying no cell phones, no smoking. Jeez! She arranges to meet someone at Chez Rouge. Later, we see it was Lauren. She tells Lauren she wants Mimi’s baby, will pay her for it. She claims Mimi is rather emotional right now, and will later regret signing the baby away. She says she will mortgage her restaurant, Alice’s for the money, but only after Lauren has the baby and gives it up. They are in agreement.

Back at the loft, Philip has packed a duffle bag, and picks up a picture of Claire. He puts it into the bag, then looks at the wedding picture of him and Belle, but sets it back down.

AT THE KIRIAKIS MANSION, Kate & Victor stand in the rubble of his living room, hollering at Shawn, who gives them what for in regard to keeping Claire’s paternity a secret for all this time.

Meanwhile, Bo & Hope are having dinner, talking of the nice time they had on the Fancy Face, and that a lot has happened that day. Hope tells Bo that he may not want to hear it, but Patrick is the father of the baby she is carrying, and will be a part of their lives. Bo gets a call from Henderson, says he will be right there, and tells Hope that it is Shawn.

Meanwhile, Shawn lights into Victor & Kate, telling Victor, in particular he is going to know how it feels to lose a child, as he will lose his son, his grandson and his great-granddaughter. Nico grabs him, saying not to get too close to Mr. K, & tells Victor that Henderson has called Bo. Kate inists they call the police, but Nico, who is restraining Shawn, says that Bo IS the police. Victor tells Kate to leave him alone with Shawn, then asks him who he is really trying to hurt, Victor or himself.

Bo & Hope arrive, shocked at what they find. Shawn fills them in, and tells Victor that he not only lost his child, but his job as well. He informs Victor that his engine is strong, look what it survived here. He walks out, with Hope following. Bo now lights into Victor, telling him that after all the regrets Victor had when he discovered so late that Bo was his son, how could he possibly do this. Outside, Hope & Shawn talk, with her assuring him she loves him, she grieves for his unborn child. He tells her about dropping the lawsuit, figuring that the stress of it might have led to Belle losing the baby. They have a mother-son bonding moment. Victor & Bo come out, with Victor offering to put the engine contract back into high gear. Shawn tells him no, he wants nothing from him. He leaves with Hope offering to drive him home. Bo tells her to drive Shawn, he will call a tow truck to get the car out of Victor’s living room (and maybe a company to come board up the big hole!). He tells her Vic is not going to press charges. BACK AT SAMI’S apt. she has changed clothes and is ready to deal with Lucas & Will again. Will leaves the room, claiming that none of this was his idea. Now Sami confronts Lucas, telling him that perhaps they should just not be living together. That him camping out on the sofa and interfering with her boyfriends just does not work. They are not a family. Lucas protests, saying they have always been a family, and mentioning how Will ran away. Sami retorts that he came back and it isn’t like Lucas cares about her at all. Whoaaa, says Lucas. That is not true. The truth is, I still have major feelings for you. Cue a shocked expression on Sami’s face, as the previews come on and……….

SHAWN: Belle, what is it you want?

PHILIP: I’m sorry, Meems, I’m gonna miss you, but I don’t belong here any more

EJ: Of course, there a tiny possibility I could be wrong.
KATE: Or maybe not. BIG KISS!

JOHN: It’s a nice life.
MARLENA: It’s a wonderful life, and I’m never gonna leave it again

Another fun show and I’d hug Hogan Sheffer if he were here right now. Thanks for bringing Salem back to us!! John and Marlena return to Salem as a couple; Philip, Shawn and Belle try to deal with all that’s happened lately; Will and Lucas sabatoge Sami and EJ’s date and it’s Kate and Victor’s turn to get that “deer in the headlights” look.

NEW JERSEY HOTEL
While Marlena packs, John gets reservations for the first flight to Salem for them (what happened to Air John, is it in the shop?). He tells Marlena that someone is out to hurt the Brady’s. Marlena’s anxious to return to Salem (as are we for her to) to be there for her everyone, John and Belle. He knows she’s a strong woman, but she tells him she needed to prove it to herself. She plans to be there for Belle during her whole pregnancy (too late) as John’s reaction signals a problem and when asks, tells her that Belle lost the baby. Marlena gasps. Later she zips her suitcase, saying she’s ready. She feels guilty for not being there for Belle when she thought of herself, to prove she could stand on her own two feet and that Alex hadn’t destroyed her self confidence. She doesn’t belong there and should have been home. John smirks, is this the time when you click your heels together three times? (LOL) She apologizes for leaving again and they both exchange I love yous and kiss (hmm, guessing he’s moving back into the Penthouse).

SAMI AND EJ
Lucas and Will are going through DVD’S, both wearing black robes (so early?) to decide what to watch when Sami’s out on her date with EJ. Sami (looking fine in her bronze toned outfit) enters the room talking on the phone as she’s told Marlena is safe and sound. Commenting this evening is starting out great, the doorbell rings and EJ whisks her off, telling the guys to enjoy their show. As soon as they leave, Lucas and Will shuck their robes and are fully dressed in jeans and shirts (I would have thought that would be what they’d be wearing anyway at dinnertime?), saying not to worry mate, they will.

We find EJ zipping along in his car as Sami enjoys the attention. He tells her they’re going to Chez Rouge for dinner. Sami and EJ arrive and the gals hug. Maggie checks the reservations list and doesn’t have Wells on there and apologizes, but can’t seat them (I’m guessing Kate’s table will be available shortly..should it survive Philip’s fist pounding below, haha). Outside we see Lucas and Will messing in the Valet parking area…they break into EJ’s car and have a plastic bag with them. Maggie’s stalling Sami and EJ apparently for them, LOL..and they yank Limberger Cheese out of the bag to put in EJ’s heating system. They both agree that smell will make anyone hurl, which Lucas says is the idea. They make sure nothing can be seen and before they leave the car, Will wants to make sure why they’re doing this..because Lucas doesn’t want Sami dating that jerk or because he wants her for himself?

CHEZ ROUGE
We find Kate dining with Eduardo, a man from their Dallas office, when Philip literally walks over and yanks her out of the chair. Mommy Dearest isn’t pleased, and when he accuses her of knowing about Claire’s paternity, she denies it. She wants to wait until later to talk, but he doesn’t. Realizing Philip is not going to give up, Kate apologizes and gives Eduardo the file to review. He understands she has a pressing personal problem and leaves. A VERY angry Philip accuses Kate of knowing about Claire’s not being his daughter. He knows Belle and Shawn were unaware and just found out themselves a few days earlier, but she knew all along and didn’t tell him? She denies it again and he stomps his fist on the table, generating anxious looks from everyone (including Maggie). She finally admits knowing, saying the magic words..I did it for you. He instructs her to not do anything else, including coming near him again, and leaves (see, an open table). She rushes after him saying she loves him and was just looking out for him. She tells him to stop doing this and he clarifies SHE did it. He asks her how does it feel to lose your child. Kate tries to back pedal, saying she’s not to blame, she wasn’t the only one who knew. Philip won’t let it drop and asks who else knew. He threatens to break every plate in the restaurant if she doesn’t tell him. She finally tells him, “your father”. Philip is devastated and in a trance, walks away and of course, drops the plate..and leaves (where’s Maggie?) Kate doesn’t follow, just says, “oh Philip” softly.

Inside Maggie apologizes profusely for not having a reservation. EJ says he called for the reservation the day before and confirmed it earlier that day. Maggie asks who took the reservation. He doesn’t know. She can only recommend they wait for a table in the lounge, but it might be 1 ½ hrs. EJ is simmering, but Sami graciously says it’s not the place but the company and suggests they go elsewhere. EJ agrees and as soon as they leave, Maggie whips out her phone to call Lucas (LOL). She tells him the “chicken has left the coop and the royal pain has left the castle and is on the way to the car”. We see Lucas and Will leaving the car and Will keeps insisting on an answer as to why they’re doing this… as Lucas rushes him out of the parking lot, saying they have to leave post haste..which term confuses the poor lad more (maybe a haircut would clear his brain some?)

Sami’s guys are back at her apartment as Lucas isn’t finished yet. He finds a card in his wallet for the Moonlight Escort Service and calls to ask for help.

HOSPITAL
Carrie tells Belle the good news about Marlena. Belle admits being a bit self absorbed lately (gee, ya think?) and has a daughter and a husband. They talk about Shawn and Carrie tells her if she truly loves Shawn, she should follow her heart. Shawn rubs Belle’s name on the hospital room doorway, deep in thought. Belle tells her that Shawn doesn’t want anything to do with her or Claire. Belle tells Carrie about how hurt Philip was to learn Claire wasn’t his and she hates herself for thinking about Shawn the way she does. She doesn’t know why Shawn dropped the lawsuit and heard about Shawn and Mimi’s divorce. She can’t understand why he’s doing this and just as Shawn opens her door, she tells Carrie that she and Shawn are over and she doesn’t want to see or talk to him ever again. Crushed, Shawn closes the door softly and fingers the flowers in a basket he was bringing Belle and tosses them in the trash (hey, just leave them on the nurses desk..why toss them?), looks back at her door and leaves. Carrie fills Belle in on how it wasn’t fair to her, Austin, Sami and Lucas and she had to end her marriage with Lucas (uh, I think it was more like you got caught in the act and that Lucas ended it with you, but whatever). Every time she saw Austin she wanted him. She encourages Belle to follow her heart too, saying it’s not fair to Philip. Belle breaks down and tells her sister how she had a daughter with Philip and it wasn’t as easy as it was for her and Lucas to split. Carrie says she and Shawn now have Claire too. Belle doesn’t think there’s a way to win regardless. Carrie tells Belle she needs to let Philip go to find someone who will love him as much as she loves Shawn. Belle just wants to close her eyes and know the answer when Marlena announces “I’m home”. The girls turn to see John and Marlena at the door (wow…Carrie sure visited a long time for John and Marlena to get to the airport, go through security, fly home, and get to the hospital). Belle and Marlena hug. Marlena tells them she’s staying right there in Salem as she needs her family and they need her. Marlena suggests that Belle come home with her and John. Belle asks John if he’s moving back in and Marlena says they all need each other.

CHEESE ANYONE?
EJ and Sami return to the car and being it’s chilly outside, she asks him to turn on the heater. They exchange looks and she rushes out for fresh air. He joins her and she asks if something died in the engine. He offers to call for a cab (wow, must have cab company on his speed dial as he gets someone and orders a cab to Chez Rouge in seconds, LOL),

EJ’S APARTMENT
EJ and Sami return to his apartment. He lights candles, turns on some jazz as he apologizes for all the problems earlier. He pops some champagne for them and again apologizes. She mimics his accent and he says he thought she was the one with the accent. The doorbell rings and he goes to answer it. A blonde hugs him and says EJ, where have you been? I’ve missed you so much…(Lucas’ escort service call) EJ denies knowing her, but she sees Sami and says they weren’t exclusive, but if she knew he were bed hopping, would have used protection. She isn’t upset and suggests a 3-some as Sami stares while EJ tries to get rid of the other woman. She introduces herself as Candy Cane to Sami and sees the champagne, asking if they mind. EJ does and tosses her out, saying she wants child support as he closes the door on her. Sami asks what that was all about, but EJ has an idea who’s behind it. We see Lucas and Will listening from EJ’s balcony. Sami doesn’t believe it’s Will or Lucas and EJ kisses her as she threatens to kill both of them. He has another idea, one that doesn’t include going to jail. They kiss as she likes the idea too. Needing convincing, he leans in for more kisses as Lucas peers in the window, complaining that that cheese was really expensive. Will suggests they go back home.

MAX’S GARAGE
Philip arrives and finds Shawn about ready to beat up the race car with a bat. He stops him and asks what’s wrong. Shawn vents that he’s lost his wife, baby and now Gramps pulled his $$ from his engine like it was a science project experiment. Philip has to one up him and say he just found out that both his parents knew that Claire was Shawn’s, not his and didn’t tell him/them. He said Kate knew and ratted out on Victor. Shawn is furious now and does a Philip by jumping into the race car and driving out.

KIRIAKIS PENTHOUSE
We find Philip with Claire as he promises to always be there for her when she can’t sleep. He promises to be there for her always, school plays, games, from the time she takes her first step until she walks down the aisle. He’s her dad. He’s always going to love her and they can’t take that away from him. Claire’s adorable as she babbles while he talks.

KIRIAKIS ESTATE
Kate does what I thought Philip would have done. She goes to Victors. He asks why she dragged him down there at this hour and she tells him it’s an emergency. He snips back for her that could be a bad manicure (ROFLMAO as we’ve had many emails commenting about her black nails/manicure lately) She tells him about Philip’s learning about her deception about Claire’s paternity and humiliated her in front of the whole restaurant. He’s angry about the bad publicity after hearing about Philip’s scene at Chez Rouge and pours them a drink (same Scotch that got Grant through the Civil War he said). He hands her a drink and assures her that she’s Philip’s mother and he’ll forgive her. She doesn’t think so. She then tells him about Philip knowing he knew too. Furious, she explains how she accidently blurted out someone else knew and Philip figured out who it was (uh, no, you plainly said YOUR FATHER Kate) and he demands she straighten this out. They hear tires screeching and an engine being raced. They turn toward the outside wall and scream as a car apparently races into the estate (guessing Shawn’s making a house call?) We return to the racecar having gone through Victor’s wall and Shawn climbs out. Victor asks what the hell he’s doing and Shawn tells him he’s going to make him pay…as he walks toward Victor as the previews roll..

HOPE TO BO: Patrick was exonerated and I am having his baby. As much as I know you don’t want to hear it, he’s going to be part of my future.

MARLENA TO BELLE: Darling, you’re at a crossroads. What is it that YOU want?

VICTOR TO SHAWN: Who are you really trying to hurt? Me, or yourself?

SAMI TO LUCAS: If you don’t want anything to do with me, then…
LUCAS interrupts: Wait, who says I don’t? The truth is, I still have major feelings for you.

I just want to preface this by saying I HATE HOGAN SHEFFER! LOL…just kidding…I can tell already it is going to be difficult summarizing his work. There are SO many characters in this show…and SO much going on…it’s hard keeping up. I have to say there is more emotion and story movement in this one show than we are accustomed to in a week of Reilly’s work. And kudos to all the performers involved, I have not seen such raw emotion and powerful acting on this show in a long time. PLUS there are even has some surprising twists and surprises at the end. This man is UNPREDICTABLE! If this is a taste of things to come…I am looking forward to it!

Summary: Abe and Lexie share a night of passion and renewed commitments…The green-eyed monster in Lucas rears its head…John’s search for Marlena leads him to a startling discovery…Steve is in emotional turmoil over remembering Stephanie, but not Kayla…Bonnie delivers another devastating blow to Philip.

At the Carvers…Abe and Lexie go at it hot and heavy on the sofa. Afterwards, they talk about it being like old times, even though he points out it has left them both wondering if it is for real. They talk about trust issues between them and he says it begins with being truthful. She starts apologizing, but he says that they have both made many mistakes…and he takes responsibility for a lot of it. He talks about when he was blind and was so angry and bitter and pushed her away. He can understand WHY she turned to another man. Lexie talks about how much she loves him and what a good man he is…his morals and integrity. She says she never felt deserving of him. She says she can’t understand how he could love her after all the things she has done. He says both of them have made mistakes, but through it all, he has always loved her. He only has one thing to ask…no, demand…that she never, never see Tek Kramer again. Without hesitation, she promises that he is out of her life for good…Abe is the only man she will ever love. It’s just her, him and Theo. They kiss as the camera pans to a family photo of the 3 of them.

At the Kiriakis Loft…Philip puts Claire down and returns to the living room, asking Shawn why he is still there. Shawn wanted to talk to him, telling him he understands Philip’s decision to terminate the pregnancy and that he knows he had no choice. He tells Philip that he is a good father and husband and he is grateful for that. With that, Shawn goes to his loft and finds Mimi there who informs him that she is going to call the surrogate and cancel the contract (still not sure what that means). Shawn says FINE, it’s not his baby any way…it’s between her and Philip. He tells her that Belle just lost the baby. Mimi says she’s sorry but Shawn says he doesn’t want her fake sympathy. He throws some things in a duffel bag and leaves.

In a New Jersey Hotel Room…John and a detective search her room. John examines the blood in the door facing (quite a bit) and worries. The detective gets a call and informs John that it wasn’t Marlena’s blood…in fact, it wasn’t even human…it was pig blood. He can’t understand what is going on, but John says he does…someone is purposely tormenting them. While searching, John finds a receipt for a storage facility. The detective is sure it wasn’t there before. John is sure it was planted there for them to find. So they take off to the warehouse.

At the Hospital…Belle wakes up to find Sami sitting by her bedside. They talk about Marlena missing and her losing the baby. Sami tries to assure her sister that everything is going to be ok. Belle talks about how Philip loves Claire and how he is so afraid of losing her. She tells Sami about Shawn suing for custody. Sami says she knows how Belle fells about Shawn…she promises not to judge her. Belle just wishes Mom were there and Sami agrees. She says they all need her…they just pray nothing has happened to her. Sami decides to call John to see what is going on with the search…to put their minds at ease. She calls him and tells him that she is with Belle and about her losing the baby. He tells her that he will call them as soon as he knows something and that they will be home soon. She thanks him for all he is doing and hangs up. She shares what she learned with Belle, who is grateful Sami did that…knowing it must have been difficult to call John. Sami says that Belle is her baby sister…she would do ANYTHING for her as they hug and cry together. Later, after Sami leaves (see below) Belle is lying in bed looking at a picture of her, Philip and Claire, when Maggie arrives holding Claire. She tells her that she thought she could use a little pick-me-up and has just what she needs. Of course Belle is thrilled over this.

In the ER…Steve is crying over an unconscious Stephanie as Kayla watches. He tells her he remembered Stephanie as he calls her his “baby girl” and holds her hand. He walks off, telling Kayla he needs a moment. In the lobby, Billie asks him if he is okay as he continues to sob, talking about having memories of Stephanie as a baby. Kayla comes out to join him as Billie leaves them alone. Steve tells her that he just can’t handle all this as Kayla falls into his arms, both crying now. Kayla is thrilled that he has gotten his memory back and assures him that they will all be okay. But he dashes water on this by telling her that he remembers Stephanie…NOT her. He keeps crying, saying he knows how she felt now…before he was dead inside…and maybe things were just better off that way. He says now, he is so scared of losing Stephanie…after he missed her entire life. He asks what if he can’t be a father to her. Both are still crying as Billie watches from afar. Kayla says the only way he could ever disappoint Stephanie is by walking away. She says they both know that his leaving was not his fault, but to CHOOSE to leave now, would be too painful. Now, he is getting his memory back and he can’t go back and forth…he must make a commitment. But he says, that isn’t all that Stephanie wants…she wants them together. He says he can’t stand to be in Stephanie’s life and not Kayla’s. He cries that he doesn’t want to hurt Kayla anymore, but he just doesn’t know that guy that once loved her. (Powerful acting from these 2 today!)

Outside Belle’s Room…EJ has arrived with a huge bouquet of flowers. Lucas asks if they are for Stephanie. EJ says no…Lucas asks, for Belle? EJ says no, but you are getting closer…they are for Sami. Lucas asks what is he trying to prove and EJ says it’s just a nice gesture and none of Lucas’ business anyway. A clearly jealous Lucas says that Sami is vulnerable right now and asks him to leave her alone, but EJ says she is a grown woman who can make her own decisions. He tells Lucas that he must either stake his claim to Sami or HE will. Sami walks out of Belle’s room and asks what’s going on. She gives them an update on Belle as EJ says he brought the flowers for BELLE. He asks Sami out for dinner but she declines. After learning she hasn’t eaten, he insists, saying she needs to be taken care of and he is the guy to do it. So she finally accepts as she turns toward Lucas and they share a look. She asks Lucas why is he staring at her…and why does he even care. He says he doesn’t, so she leaves with EJ…as Lucas fumes.

Kate and Victor are also at the hospital and she tells him about Belle losing the baby. Kate says she is sure that now, Belle will leave Philip for Shawn. Victor tells her to just butt out of it, but we all know Kate. She talks about the surrogate that is carrying Philip/Mimi’s child…Victor’s grandchild. She reminds him that the child is half Lockhart and asks if he REALLY wants Bonnie in his life FOREVER. Shawn arrives asking about Max and Stephanie. Victor asks Kate to leave (he wants to talk privately to Shawn) and tells him that Titan is pulling out and will not be a sponsor to his turbo engine. Shawn is upset but Victor reminds him that there have been 2 accidents so far involving his invention…and he has stock holders to answer to. He says it’s just too risky for Titan. Shawn is devastated and storms off. He runs into Frankie (literally) who asks what’s wrong. Shawn says everything…he has lost his family, friends, career. Frankie says he should think about dropping the custody case but Shawn says no…Claire is better off with Belle and Philip and storms off, kicking things in his wake. Frankie goes to see Belle and tells her that he has good news (well, at least he thinks so). He tells her that Shawn has dropped the custody case. A disappointed Belle tells him that she is happy, but after he leaves, she holds Claire and tells her that Shawn isn’t going to fight for her…or them for that matter.

Philip is back at the hospital now as Mimi tracks him down. He lights into her about lying to them all along. She asks him what they are going to do about Lauren, the surrogate. He says he has so much on his mind right now and he can’t even think about that. She wants to void the contract as he asks what would happen to the baby (good question, would they abort it?) He tells her that he just can’t think about that right now…it will just have to wait and walks off.

Later, we see Philip with Victor and Kate, telling them there are 2 children’s lives at stake and he must make the right decision. Kate opens her mouth and is ready to tell him what she thinks, but Victor grabs her by the arm and drags her off, telling her he will buy here a coffee (ROFL!...go Victor). After they leave, Mimi and Bonnie come flopping up and he tells them that Kate is urging him to terminate the surrogate’s contract. Bonnie is furious over this, saying that Kate thinks the Lockharts aren’t good enough to be a part of her family…even though Mimi WAS good enough to use to keep Shawn and Belle apart. Color Philip confused…until Bonnie blurts out that Kate knew the truth about Claire all along and conspired with them….so she is NO BETTER than they are. Philip is in shock as Mimi gives him a nod. He storms off to find Kate as Mimi asks Bonnie WHY she did that. Bonnie says she just wanted to tell the truth…just as Mimi always wanted to do…and it felt GOOD!

Back in New Jersey…John and the detective arrive at the warehouse, cut the lock off and go inside. They search for a clue with John saying whatever they find, he hopes it leads him to his wife. They find an old steamer trunk and rip it open to find Marlena tied up inside. She is disoriented and shaken as John lifts her out. She cries as she clings to him, sobbing…I knew it…I knew you would come for me…as the previews show…

Carrie (to Belle): Let Philip go…so he can build a life with someone who loves him…as much as you love Shawn…

Kate (to Philip): Maybe I should have told you the truth…but I did what I thought was right…(Philip): There is notihg you can do…and DON’T COME NEAR ME AGAIN…

Woman (jumping into EJ’s arms): Baby…where have you been?...I have missed you so much…(as Sami watches)…

Victor (with Kate in the background): What the hell are you doing?...(Shawn): I am going to make you pay!...

WOW..What a change for Salem! Great acting, suspense, drama…WELCOME TO THE NEW WRITING TEAM…great show as new evidence proves Patrick’s innocence; Steve’s memory of Stephanie returns (get the Kleenex out!!); Abe and Lexie reunite; and Shawn grows up and thinks what’s best for Claire. Kudos to the actors tomorrow, especially Stephen Nichols...you had me in tears!!

AFTER THE ACCIDENT
Show starts with an anxious Steve rushing in to tell Billie (who’s now alone in the room they were watching the race from) that “they’re both alive, but that they wouldn’t tell him how badly they were hurt”. He said Kayla was going to the hospital with Stephanie and Grandpa Shawn was going with Max. He knows he should go to the hospital, but can’t. Billie tries to convince him to go, saying Stephanie needs her dad. Steve is upset and feels guilty for being responsible for Stephanie being upset when she went to the race and now his little girl could die. They talk about how they both feel responsible for not being there for their children when they were growing up. He and Stephanie get along just fine, but she wants him back with her mother. He says they’re both better off without him. Billie knows that if he could have a fairy tale ending, he’d want to have his old life back, wouldn’t he? Is he willing to live his life wondering what might have been?

SALEM U HOSPITAL
Stephanie’s gurney is rushed in with Kayla following. They won’t let Kayla go with them as she begs them to take care of her daughter. We see Stephanie’s head secured and the doctor orders a portable chest x-ray and a c-spine and head CT when her vitals are stable and to page orthopedics.

Pop Shawn arrives saying Max was banged up, but okay..Caroline’s with him. She goes to give him the necklace he gave Stephanie, but he tells Kayla to hold onto it for Stephanie and leaves. Max walks out in his gown, worried it was his fault..but Kayla tells him it wasn’t. Later the doctor tells Kayla that Stephanie is conscious but not alert or oriented and he’s ordered a CT scan to assess the damage. She asks to see Stephanie and is allowed to. She sits next to Stephanie and Stephanie says hi to her mom. She apologized for the wreck and asks if her father is there. Kayla tells her no and Stephanie cries asking where is he.

COP SHOP
Lexie can’t believe what Tek’s saying …that Abe’s only using her to get more goods on her. Tek said to ask Abe herself if she doesn’t believe him. Tek tells Lexie what Abe’s motives have been and she’s angry..especially that Abe’s used Theo too. She leaves to go home to get ready.

BELLE…
The doctor tells Philip and Shawn about the risks of Belle surviving without terminating the pregnancy. The baby is now at 21 weeks and the risks of it surviving are questionable regardless the doctor says. She leaves the forms with Philip (and Shawn). Philip sits down and tells unconscious Belle that he promised to do everything he could to protect the baby, but he can’t risk losing her. Shawn watches silently. We return as Philip signs the form. He tells Shawn he’s sorry and knows it’s his baby, but he’s got to protect his wife. Shawn tells him he understands and if it helps, he would have done the same thing. The doctor returns and Philip gives her the forms. She calls the nurse to come take Mrs. Kiriakis to the delivery room.

Later Philip and Shawn are allowed in Belle’s room as she’s just coming out of anesthesia. He tells her that they had to take the baby and Belle is angry, saying he promised. Crying, she yells that he never wanted that baby and orders him out. Philip asks Shawn to stay with Belle and he does so. Shawn sits down and takes her hand and comforts her as she cries. He tells her that Philip really didn’t have a choice. Belle cries my baby, our baby, but Shawn is just grateful she’s okay. Philip watches from the doorway and the nurse comes in saying she’s been through a lot and adds some sedative to her IV. Belle looks at Philip and apologizes to him. Philip asks for a moment alone with his wife and Shawn walks out. Philip sits down and snuggles next to Belle’s face as he strokes her head.

COP SHOP
Stephanie was no sooner wheeled into the hospital when we find Abe and Roman at work in their “suits”. Apparently Abby had collected whatever evidence was left at the garage (glove, note,etc.) and brought it to the station. Abe and Roman had it in an evidence bag Being Lexie was with Abe this whole time, they can now rule Lexie out as a suspect. They also say Patrick obviously wasn’t responsible either and Bo won’t be happy about that. Roman tells Abe he can now cancel his date with Lexie, but realizes Abe might not want to just as he had thought.

COURTROOM
The judge has her hands full as both the defense attorney and district attorney argue their cases. Reece claims Bo has a vendetta against Patrick and Bonnie, true to form, agrees. The judge warns Reece to be prepared to back up what she’s saying and Reece said it involves Detective Brady’s wife. Reece continues on how Bo’s been setting Patrick up and how Patrick would like to speak for himself. Although not common, the judge agrees and stops the DA from protesting when she begins to. Patrick apologizes that Mrs. Brady has to be dragged into this, but it’s unavoidable. He says that she is carrying his baby and that Bo had vowed to make him pay. Patrick denies killing Officer Michaels and wanted to spend the rest of his life with Hope and wouldn’t do anything to stop that from happening. The judge gives Bo a chance to respond and he admits not liking the defendant, but would not set him up. The evidence they found speaks for itself. Roman walks in and disagrees, carrying the evidence from Max’s Garage. Cue surprised looks on Patrick and Bo’s faces. We return after the judge has examined Roman’s evidence and allows him to explain what they had. Roman tells everyone about the serious accident involving two cars at the Grand Prix today. He doesn’t know the extent of injuries. They were led to items in the garage, including a glove, a scorched toy car and a note.

The note reads: DEAR SUCKERS. YOU HAVE THE WRONG MAN IN JAIL. THE PERSON WHO KILLED OFFICER EVE MICHAELS AND WHO HAS BEEN TORMENTING THE BRADY FAMILY IS STILL AT LARGE. THE GUN AND SHOES FOUND IN PATRICK LOCKHART'S HOUSE WERE PLANTED. HE'S BEEN FRAMED. A FRIEND.

Bo protests and the judge says he’s out of order. They also found forged receipts, fake gun registrations that led them to find that the gun that killed Eve was not purchased by Mr. Lockhart and the shoes weren’t Patrick’s either. They also found the note predicted that when a certain car in the race hit 200 MPH it would explode, which it did. Whoever left this note while Mr. Lockhart was behind bars is the same person who killed Officer Michaels and has been causing all the trouble to the Brady’s. They also think the burned toy car is this person’s sick way of thumbing his nose at the police and Bo. The judge gives the DA the opportunity to dismiss the charges, which she does. The judge tells Patrick he’s free to go and he’s surrounded by his family..the Lockhart clan is ecstatic.

Hope confronts Bo. He tells her there was no indication that the evidence they found wasn’t real. She tells him that he was so blinded by his hatred of Patrick that she wanted to believe it. He tries to explain not knowing what to believe now. She believed him and trusted him about Patrick. Bo denies any knowledge of what happened and Roman interrupts, insisting on speaking with Bo. Hope walks away and speaks with Patrick at the doorway. She apologizes for doubting him, but the evidence looked pretty bad. She’s happy he’s been exonerated. She just wishes he and his attorney hadn’t aired their dirty laundry in public. Patrick’s offended that’s what Hope thinks of their baby. Hope stops and pauses at that statement. She just wished she knew he was going to bring it up and he apologizes for not being able to give her the heads up on that. He would be a good father and she knows that, but says she’s sorry and leaves.

Roman tells Bo he can’t set the department up for a law suit. Bo wants to continue investigating. Roman tells him NO, not even on his own time and that’s a direct order. He warns Bo that he’d risk losing both his job and wife over Lockhart if he pursues this.

THE LOFT
Shawn returns to Belle and Philip’s loft and tells Margie the babysitter (nice to see she’s got one) that he’ll watch Claire. He explains Philip might not even be home tonight. He puts Claire down and we hear a baby cry (sounds more like an infant crying than one Claire’s size). He tries talking to her (come on Shawn, pick her up) when Philip walks in surprised that Shawn’s there and had let the babysitter go. Shawn explains he thought he’d be with Belle at the hospital all night. Philip said Belle was sleeping, so he came home. Philip picks Claire up and the crying stops. He thanks Shawn for trying to help out. Shawn apologizes for giving him a hard time earlier. He tells Philip he’s a good dad. Philip explains he’s the only father that Claire’s ever known, but he’s always been there for her. Claire starts giggling and she and Philip go to play. Shawn pulls his cell phone out and calls Frankie and gets his voice mail. He tells him he’s been thinking and wants to drop the custody suit. Claire should stay with Philip and Belle.

CARVER HOME
Abe arrives asking Lexie which of his favorite dinners she made and she slaps him hard calling him a son of a bitch. Later he figures out that Tek told Lexie what’s going on. She asks how he could pretend that he wanted to come home to her and Theo. She can never understand how he could give their son hope that he wanted to come home to them. She’s done things herself, but would never use their little boy like that. Abe said what he said was true, but he also had to follow up on those other things and if he didn’t do it, some other officer would have had to. Crying, she says he’s suppose to protect them. She cries saying she thought he wanted to come home and he admits it’s true..he does and that he still loves her. Lexie tells him too much has happened now. He asks her to look him in the eyes and he can understand why she doesn’t believe him. If he were her, he wouldn’t either. He knows that it might take some time, but their marriage is worth fighting for. He’s asking for a leap of faith and admits he still loves her. In her heart she knows it. She tells him she never stopped loving him and wants their family together too, but how does she know he doesn’t have a hidden agenda. He asks to show her and kisses her face. For so long he couldn’t show her, but now….. She asks if he can now….and he starts kissing her passionately in response

BRADY LOFT
Mimi (what’s with that funky hair style and dress??) picks up the phone to end the surrogate arrangement with Philip and Shawn. Bonnie jumps up saying she’s not going to let her do anything as boneheaded as that.

BACK AT THE HOSPITAL
Steve arrives and identifies himself as Stephanie’s father. Kayla walks out, glad to see him and says Stephanie’s been asking for him. He goes into Stephanie’s room and Kayla warns him she might be asleep. Billie tells Kayla she prayed for Stephanie. Kayla tells Billie they need to talk. Billie tells Kayla she won’t stand in Steve’s way if he gets his memory back and wants to get back with her (wow, how nice of her). Kayla excuses herself to return to her daughter.

Inside the room Steve apologizes to Stephanie (whose eyes are closed) for not coming right away. He breaks down saying he can’t remember. If asks if he was willing to give it a try, would she put up with him? When she gets better, will she give him another chance? Crying now, he begs her to get better and to give him another chance. Steve has a flashback of him rocking baby Stephanie, saying he missed her when he was gone and always promising to be there for her. Back to present, he breaks down saying “oh my God, I remember, I remember”…as Kayla and Billie (smiling) watch from behind him in tears….

The previews roll….

JOHN: “I just hope whatever it is, leads me right to my wife.”

ABE (naked in bed with Lexie): "I HAVE TO DEMAND that you never see Tek …. "

EJ TO SAMI (with a jealous Lucas standing behind them): "You need taking care care of you and I’m the one to do it. "

MIMI: "I’m the one to decide what to do with the rest of my life and I don’t care what anyone else has to say about it."

FRANKIE: "You might want to rethinking this custody case."

SHAWN: "Claire’s better off with Belle and Philip."

BELLE to Claire: "He’s not even going to fight for you, for either of us."

This is a HISTORIC episode…as for the FIRST TIME we see Hogan Sheffer’s name appear as the head writer…along with Meg Kelly…and we can finally say GOODBYE to James E. Reilly! (even though he is still listed as a consultant).

Summary: It’s race day for the Salem Grand Prix, but there is physical as well as emotional danger lurking all around…Belle clings to life as she begs Philip to make a promise to her…Patrick’s hearing is underway, as Bo finds himself under attack…Tek warns Lexie as to what Abe is up to.

At the Hospital…Philip is by Belle’s side as Lexie tells him that her blood pressure is extremely high. Belle’s biggest concern is about the baby…as Shawn arrives. She cries that her head is hurting as Lexie asks Philip and Shawn to leave. She has another doctor there with her (Dr. Ross). In the lobby, Philip and Shawn get into it as Philip puts the blame for all of this on Shawn’s shoulders. Lexie comes out and informs them that Dr. Ross is running tests on Belle and that she is refusing to take medication…if it is going to harm the baby…as Philip and Shawn return to the blame game. Later, Shawn is pacing the lobby as Hope arrives, wanting to know what is going on. (She was just at the court house when she got the news…see below). She tells him that Mimi explained to her and Bo what happened (that he left her). He swears that if he had known the truth all along, he wouldn’t have left her. But she is just a liar. Hope asks if Mimi is right?...do he and Belle still love each other?

Shawn has trouble answering that simple question. Inside, Philip sits by Belle’s side (she is unconscious) as he says he wants her to take the medication and that he would do anything for her…even give his own life. She opens her eyes and says that she is scared. He begs her to take the medication, but she refuses. She says if she slips into a coma, she wants him to promise her that they won’t give her the meds. He finally promises that if something happens to her, he will sign the consent. Shawn insists to Hope that the reason he left Mimi is because she is a liar…just like the rest of her family. Hope tells him that at some point, a person MUST be with the one you love…otherwise, you just keep making mistakes. Shawn asks her WHO was her mistake...dad or Patrick? They talk about whether he is innocent or guilty and Shawn says he is a Lockhart…the whole family is liars. Realizing he hurt Hope, he apologizes and she says she needs to get back to the hearing and leaves. Philip tells Belle not to be scared…everything will be okay. Alarms go off as he yells for the doctor. Later, Dr. Ross tells Philip that Belle is in critical condition…and if the pregnancy continues…there is NO WAY both she and the baby will survive.

At the Cop Shop…Abe and Roman talk about Patrick and they hope that Bo didn’t go after him for personal reasons only. Roman asks Abe about his dating Lexie, but Abe swears it is all part of the investigation. Abe says he has no problem separating his professional and private lives, but Roman reminds him that Patrick is behind bars…why is he still investigating Lexie? Roman is sure that she wasn’t involved in the case, but Abe says he is sure she was hiding something…and leaves the room angrily.

Back at the Hospital…Abe meets up with Lexie for their “date”. She gives him a picture that Theo drew…a huge heart with the three of them inside. She offers to make dinner at home for him and he accepts. She is so happy to have a second chance with him and swears he will never have to worry about trusting her again. He tells her to go on ahead, he will be there shortly as she rushes off to check on one last patient before heading home. We see Tek in the background…who takes off in the direction Lexie was headed. Abe says to himself “what the hell am I doing?” Tek catches up with her and she tells him to leave her alone. He tries to tell her that Abe is just using her and that he doesn’t want to date her…he wants to indict her. He tells her that when Abe gets enough evidence, he is going to arrest her…as Lexie stands there staring in disbelief.

At the Garage…Max and Travis (his crew chief) are making final touches on the car as Frankie rushes in asking why they are still there. (As we see the gloved hand lurking around holding a wrench). Max says they are finishing up and they are “ready to roll” as he cranks the car one last time and revs the engine…as we see something dripping underneath.

At the Courthouse…Cameron Reese informs Patrick that the evidence against him is staggering. Bonnie insists that Bo Brady is trying to frame him and Patrick says that Bo has plenty of motive. He is sure that Bo set him up and Cameron tells him that she is going to play the angle that the Salem PD is crooked. Patrick talks with Bonnie and Mimi as they continue to offer their support. Cameron comes back and informs them that the DA is going for murder 1…and the death penalty. Somewhere in here, Bo and Hope talk with Mimi and she tells them about Shawn leaving her and fesses up to knowing all along about Claire. She rushes off in tears, saying she lost Shawn forever. Hope calls the garage and learns that Shawn is at the hospital, so she takes off to go see him. Roman arrives at the courthouse asking Bo if he is sure the evidence will hold up. Bo swears the investigation was completely by the book, but Roman is afraid that Cameron is going to come after Bo personally. Roman warns him to be careful and keep his cool. He says that Cameron is going to “rip the scab off every wound” he has…Chelsea, Zack, Hope, etc. Bo says he can’t wait until Lockhart is locked up for good, as Roman asks if THAT is what is driving this case? In the courtroom, Patrick pleads “not guilty” as Roman and Bo walk in. Patrick turns and says he was framed, staring directly at Bo. Cameron asks that Bo Brady be called to the stand as Roman takes a seat. AS Bo is testifying, Hope slips in and sits next to Roman. Cameron is cross-examining Bo (as she makes jabs at the police department as well as the Brady family). She practically accuses Bo of framing Patrick…saying that Bo had motive for doing so.

In the Sky Box...at the race track…Stephanie is ready to go (and looks quite fetching with that red hair in that royal blue jumpsuit ;-) The announcer is saying that Max is a no-show thus far. Chelsea sashays in accusing Stephanie of stealing her boyfriend. But Stephanie says he couldn’t get away from Chelsea fast enough. Chelsea calls her a bitch and says that Max was sure she switched the DNA (and she didn’t blame him) but Stephanie was right there in his face and as a result, he wouldn’t even give her a second chance…even though she deserved it…THIS TIME. Chelsea asks why would she do this…when she already has so much? Stephanie says she understands how Chelsea feels…she too, is fighting to get her family back together. Right on cue, Kayla arrives to wish her luck, but Steve isn’t with her. He shows up…with Billie…as both Chelsea and Stephanie glare at them. Billie sees all the tension and offers to leave, suggesting that Chelsea go with her. PopShawn and Abby arrive as well and he gives Stephanie a good luck charm necklace (that his mother had once given to him). Kate arrives now, followed by Victor, as she is ordering Stephanie to get over to the PR office for a pre-race interview. On her way out, she lashes out at Steve telling him that he doesn’t k now HOW to be a husband OR a father. Steve apologizes to Kayla, saying that Stephanie is right and maybe he should have not come. Kate lectures Billie for upsetting Stephanie right before the race. Steve tries to get Billie to leave with him but she says no, Stephanie needs him today, despite what she said. PopShawn offers support to Kayla and tells her not to give up on Steve, he fell in love with her once…and he will again. Max arrives and tells Victor about Shawn and Philip being at the hospital with Belle, and about her being in danger of losing the baby. As Stephanie is leaving, Kate tells her to go win that race…”for ME”. Stephanie reminds her how she asked for her help with Philip…now she needs a favor from her…keep her daughter away from her dad! With that Stephanie and Max leave as Kayla hugs her and wishes her luck and to be careful. Steve goes to hug her, but she just walks on by him. After she is gone, they realize she forgot her necklace and Frankie grabs it and tries to catch up with her. But he returns, necklace in hand.

Later, everyone is watching the race, cheering for Stephanie and Max. Victor and Kate are whispering about the Belle/Philip/Shawn situation, and how they both knew the truth all along. We see Max and Stephanie in their respective race cars, talking to themselves (however, it is hard to understand what they are saying over the noise.). The announcer says that Stephanie is pulling away. Meanwhile, Abby has returned to the garage (she forgot to bring the champagne for the victory celebration). While there, she finds a glove on the floor, in a puddle of fluids, with a note in the hand. She picks it up and says “Oh, no!...Max!”. Back at the trace, we learn that Max has passed Stephanie as everyone in the sky box is cheering for them. We see Max’s RPM gauge shoot up and then we see a crash as we hear the announcer say “there is trouble in turn four…this looks like a bad one…apparently Max Brady’s car has exploded!” Shock all around as Kayla looks over at Steve with terror in her eyes…as the previews show…

Philip (to an unconscious Belle): I know I promised I would do everything I could…but I can’t risk losing you honey…as Shawn looks on…

Abe (to Lexie): Which of my favorites are you making?...as she walks over and slaps him and says: You Son of a Bitch!...

Steve (sobbing uncontrollably): Oh my GOD!...I remember!...I remember you!...as Kayla cries…

And the credits roll…

The day of the big race has arrived with both Titan & Mythic backers pumping up the volume, while it is also the day of Patrick’s hearing (convenient, huh?).

ON BOARD THE FANCY FACE, BO WAKES UP next to Hope, saying Good Morning, Fancy Face….do you know how good it is to be able to say that again? They have slept in their clothes, in case anyone is interested. Hope remarks that she wants to go to the hospital to check on Belle. Bo has something for her, tho, leaves and returns with a tray. It is breakfast. A muffin for her, while he gets ready to wolf down some left over pizza. She protests that it looks old, but he says it probably is just a few days, and has all the food groups…..protein, vegetable, dairy, fibre in the crust….and even a little penicillin. (O.K. that made me laugh). Hope will not let him eat it, and shares the muffin. Bo asks her to come back to him, but she is not ready to make that decision yet. (jeez, Hope, are you going to wait til November sweeps…..enuf already!) Bo tries to talk her into it, but she is adamant. They argue a bit about Patrick, with Bo convinced he is guilty, but Hope reminds him that she accused Patrick of kidnapping Will, and it turned out he had run away. So she is not making that mistake again. She feels the baby kick. Bo knows that the baby will have a wonderful mom, and she will have all of Hope’s good qualities. Hope wonders why Bo refers to the baby as she, but Bo just “has a feeling”. She kisses him.

AT MAX’S GARAGE, Shawn is under the hood of a car, while Max & Stephanie chit chat about racing against each other. Abby has to leave to pick up a couple of men who are arriving in relation to the Light the Walk fund raiser. As Max & Steph are about to kiss, Shawn gets on their case. Max realizes Shawn is upset, but Shawn tells him his marriage is over, there is no trust anymore. He has decided not to go for joint custody of Claire, but will sit back and see what happens. Stephanie asks tons of questions, but Max pulls her away, telling her she is being insensitive. They kiss, and Steph leaves.

Now EJ arrives, ostensibly to wish them all luck. (This guy is entirely into too many people’s lives, if you ask me). He commiserates with Shawn about his marriage to Mimi being over, and Shawn wonders how he knows, as only a couple of people know. EJ claims he had breakfast at the diner, and got the news from Bonnie. Now Abby returns with 2 men. She introduces Charles Winston and Dr. George Bitar (who heads the D.C. chapter of the Leukemia & Lymphnoma Society). Dr. Bitar has had family members who were stricken, and Abby mentions her own struggle with a related disease, aplastic anemia and how she was saved with a bone marrow transplant. This is why she got involved in the Light the Night walk (fundraiser for the Leukemia & Lymphnoma Society) She tells the men how Shawn had a good friend, Chloe, who also survived leukemia. She shows the guys the necklace that Charles Winston designed (you all know Charles Winston, the jewelry designer….many stars wear his jewelry at the award shows, and it is always mentioned on the Red Carpet interviews). Proceeds from the sale of the necklace (very pretty, by the way) will go to benefit the foundation) The men are given box seat tickets for the race, thank everyone, and leave.

AT THE JAIL, Mimi arrives to visit her brother, Patrick. She cries to him about how her life is over, Shawn has dumped her, yada, yada. She tells him how it was Shawn found out she knew all along that Claire was probably his daughter, via the baby monitor. She realizes her troubles are not the issue, and asks him how he is doing. Patrick still proclaims his innocence, mentioning how it was Jennifer who called the cops with tip about the gun. Mimi fills him in on how Jennifer & Jack have moved to London. Patrick is puzzled, as Jack was so sick, but Mimi tells him how the experimental drug worked, he is in remission, and that Abby has stayed in Salem, going to Salem U and living with Aunt Maggie. Now Patrick complains about Hope, who told him that if it came down to it, she would trust Bo before him. Mimi tells him that then he is better off without her. Now Bonnie bursts in, bringing Patrick’s suit from the cleaners, and goes to hug Patrick…a big no no as the guard steps forward to break that up. He then tells them time is up….but Bonnie just got there. Not his problem. Patrick says it is o.k. as he will change for his hearing, see them later. Bonnie tells him that they may not be Hortons or Bradys, but the Lockharts will stick together, and she knows he is innocent.

Later, in the courtroom, Cameron Reese is talking to Patrick, as the DA, Brook, comes up to them. Cameron tells her that she does not have to prove Patrick’s innocence, as much as Brook has to prove his guilt. Bo arrives, and spots Hope, surprised to see her. She felt she had to be there, promising to leave if things get too much for her. Bonnie & Mimi arrive, noticing that Hope is there. Patrick comes up, and Bo nearly stops him, but moves to the side. He asks Hope how she is, Hope says fine, and felt the baby kick this morning. Patrick moves toward her, (looking as tho he was going to hug her) but Bo steps inbetween them. There is almost an altercation, but Cameron pulls Patrick away, scolding him.

AT MYTHIC COMMUNICATIONS office, EJ is giving an interview on how well he thinks Stephanie will do, bragging about how she beat Max Brady in all the time trials. Kate comes in at the end of the interview, the reporter leaves, and she compliments EJ on his skills during the interview. (And how come EJ, the big time race car driver isn’t using his driving skills to be in this race? Weird?) He tells her that the reporter was from one of the Philadelphia newspapers in the chain they just purchased (my, my, Kate really accumulated a lot of money while working at Basic Black, didn’t she? – wonder who is running that company now? And has she told John yet that she no longer works there? LOL). Later, EJ has evidently left (see above), and Stephanie arrives, per Kate’s request. (wouldn’t Steph have more to do since the race is imminent, than be at Kate’s beck & call?) Ahh, but Kate has something really important to ask of Stephanie….a big favor. She wants Stephanie to be a good “friend” to her son, Philip. It seems his marriage is probably over, and Philip is going to need a shoulder to cry on. Stephanie tells her she barely knows Philip, and is involved, sort of, with Max Brady. But Kate is persistent, (after all, she cannot breathe if she is not interfering in her children’s lives).

BACK AT THE GARAGE, EJ wishes everyone good luck again, saying may the best man…or woman……win, and leaves. The pit crew boss arrives, promising to do a good job. Shawn & Max ask where Philip is….and the guy says that Philip called, cannot make it, his wife is in the hospital. Shawn is puzzled, as Belle was supposed to be released last night. The fellow tells him that Belle had a relapse or something, and is being kept there, so they can keep an eye on the baby. Shawn abruptly says he has to go, and takes off, with Max yelling after him, Shawn, no, what about the race? And the previews show…..

A suited up Stephanie to Patch: You’re right, you don’t know the lst thing about being a husband…..or a father!

Lexie: Abe loves me. Tek: He doesn’t want to date you, he wants to indict you. He’s gathering evidence and once he gets enough, he’s going to arrest you.

Shawn to Hope: Which one was your mistake, Mom? Dad? Or Patrick?

Cameron to Bo (who is on the witness stand): It would be easy for you to frame Patrick Lockhart.

Bo and Hope grow closer; Shawn finds a new friend while Mimi and Bonnie commiserate; and Sami’s got both Lucas and EJ competing for her.


BO AND HOPE leave the hospital and go out for something to eat. He levels with her that Chelsea was trying to play match maker again with him and Billie. He tells her about Chelsea seeing Steve kiss Billie and figured Bo had better make his move if he wanted Billie. They both feel for Kayla. Bo assures Hope he told Chelsea there’s only one woman in his life, her. She likes that answer and smiles. Later she’s stuffed after eating all that pie and they talk outside, worried about Marlena. She smiles saying how hearing that Claire was Shawn’s daughter cheered her up and seemed right. They go for a walk on the water front and end up at the Fancy Face. He suggests a little boat ride, but she tells him he was right at the diner and they should go slow. They remember sailing with Shawn and the good old days. Hope mentions they’ll never be able to share those kind of memories with Zack and how much she misses him. She feels the baby growing inside her and hoping it’ll ease the pain of losing Zack, but it doesn’t. He apologizes for giving Chelsea the keys and would do anything to take away her hurt. Hope says she was responsible too. Bo says no one can be responsible 24/7 and Zack was at a sleep over. He reminds her how she always told Zack not to run into the street. She didn’t fail Zack and gave him a happy life. Bo comforts Hope and says he asks himself every day why this happened, but he does know she had nothing to do with his death. He loves her too much to see her blaming herself. She cries in his arms.

AT THE BRADY LOFT
Bonnie tries to comfort Mimi, but she knows that she and Shawn are finished. Mimi is upset and crying, yelling at her mother that she’ll never get him back. Bonnie rants that Shawn Brady was their future. Mimi clarifies she means he’s their meal ticket. She can’t believe she’s lied to Shawn all this time because she listened to her mother. Bonnie cries and explains how she always wanted her daughter to end up with the perfect man, someone not like her father. She’s right, she screwed up Mimi’s life as much as she screwed up her own. Mimi says people like them will never have their dreams come true. They hear Claire crying and Bonnie refers to her as the little trouble maker. Mimi asks her to go attend her, she’d like some time alone (hey Shawn, nothing like bailing on your daughter too!)

Shawn’s shirtless of course (gotta introduce the new guy’s chest of course) when some blonde in a skimpy hot pants outfit tries to pick him up. He threatens to call the cops if she doesn’t go away. She hangs around and watches him shoot/miss a basket and tells him her name is Willow and she ran away from her abusive father. A necklace with an angel falls on the bench they’re sitting on and she explains her friend gave it to her for good luck. She offers it to Shawn, thinking he needs it more. He tries to explain about finding out Claire is his daughter, not his best friend’s daughter and how his wife knew and didn’t tell him. He mentions how he use to love Claire’s mother and Willow asks if he still does. We rejoin them as he tells her all about his life. She tells him she’d do anything to have parents to be close to that don’t hit her. She suggests if there’s any way for him and his dad to get closer, to go for it. He writes down Chez Rouge’s phone number and tells her to call his Aunt Maggie for a job. He says she’s too nice a girl to be doing what she’s doing. He gives her a kiss., then gives her some money to get a decent place to sleep and for some new clothes for her interview. She thanks him, saying she’s not his angel, he’s hers and gives him the necklace and leaves. He said maybe they’re each others.

SAMI’S APARTMENT
Sami, Will and Lucas get dressed to go out for dinner. Sami offers to cook, but Lucas declines for health reasons, LOL. EJ arrives, in a suit of course. Sami tells him that Lucas has moved in as they’re trying to give Will some stability. EJ questions Lucas’ moving in, asking if sleeping on the couch will be hard when his apartment is down the hall. Lucas implies he won’t be sleeping on the couch, much to Sami’s surprise. Sami says they only share a child and he IS sleeping on the couch. EJ asks Sami for a date, saying Lucas won’t mind. She’s surprised by that, but not Lucas. EJ explains she was engaged when he arrived in Salem and now that the engagement is broken and Will’s home safe and sound, asks if she’d go out to dinner with him. Lucas watches jealously. Sami says it’s short notice and she has dinner plans with Lucas and Will. She asks for a rain check and they agree on the next night. He smiles telling her to have fun, but not too much and leaves.

THE DINER
Lucas, Sami and Will are recognized by one and all. First the waitress tells Sami she looks better in person. Sami is a little offended and says she hadn’t slept in two days and had been crying when she was on tv. Then a teenaged girl asks Will for an autograph and whips a pen out of her top for him to use. The girl leaves and Sami starts preening Will’s hair, saying she thinks he’s cute (c’mon Sami, tell him he needs a haircut too!). He’s embarrassed as people are watching and says he hates her. Lucas and Sami exchange looks. Lucas insists that Will apologize and he does so, saying he doesn’t hate her. She understands he’s upset at all she’s done and explains why she didn’t marry Austin. She knew he was in love with someone else and didn’t see that til last minute. The old Sami wouldn’t have even noticed. Lucas says it’s progress and gives her a hard time about dating EJ. She says she can still date EJ and be a good mother. Will’s surprised that EJ wants to date her.

BACK HOME….EJ pops into the hall, saying he’s looking forward to dinner the next night with Sami when they return home. Sami is flattered and looking forward to it too. Will goes off to bed after apologizing again and when Sami presents Lucas with a pillow and blanket, surprised when he suggests sleeping with her (he sure got over the hurt of Carrie leaving him for Austin awful quick, didn’t he?) She tells him no because he snores, but he taunts her saying she knows she won’t be able to keep her hands off of him.

FANCY FACE
Bo and Hope step inside the cabin and he tells her “welcome home Fancy Face.” He pulls her into a kiss and she returns it. Staring in her eyes he peels off her jacket and sitting on the bed, kisses her hand. She looks down at him and joins him on the bed as they lie down on the bed kissing….as the previews roll….

KATE: You’re awfully confident.
EJ TO KATE: I thrive on competition and in the end I always win…

STEPHANIE TO SHAWN: Is your relationship with Belle one of those things you want to work out?

PATRICK TO MIMI: What I’m thinking is she doesn’t want to have a future with Bo or me.

BO TO HOPE: How about coming back to me?
Hope is eating and looks up startled at that suggestion.
