Summary: This show has mostly supporting cast and stories (with the exception of Steve and Kayla) that are starting in new directions. (Hardly a mention of John or the Bope baby). Steve has strange reactions to the tarot card Benji gave him…Sami gets Lucas to the hospital…Chelsea gets a job…Abe worries about what his going blind will do to Lexie…Billie drowns her sorrows, as Nick seems to show up at the wrong place at the wrong time, and Billie uses yet another man (okay, BOY this time) as a crutch.

At the Hospital…Sami is there with Roman as she explains that Lucas has hypothermia and a broken leg but other than that is doing okay. She explains about their trip and the roof falling in on Lucas and her going for help. But she leaves out the part about EJ, saying that she found no help and returned to help Lucas herself. (As she is telling this, it is cut with brief black and white flashbacks). She explains that she lifted the beam off him and dragged him back to the highway and flagged down a trucker. Roman says it is an incredible story and she thinks he is accusing her of lying. He explains what he meant that it was incredible how she saved Lucas. She tells him that it was a nightmare and she just wants to forget about it. The doctor comes out and tells Roman about John and he explains it to Sami about Hope being held hostage and Bo going to save her and John taking his place and getting shot. He tells her that it is bad and Marlena is in the chapel praying. Sami freaks out, saying that John can’t die…they just got married and how her mom deserves to be happy. Roman feels bad that John was even there in the first place. Sami says that they will catch EJ and Roman explains that Lexie is their only witness. Roman tells her that he needs her help to catch EJ. Sami almost freaks out and he explains that he stole Lexie’s car and that it was stopped at a roadblock outside of town, but it wasn’t Lexie driving. He tells her it was in the general area she and Lucas were in and wants to know if she saw anything suspicious. She lies and says she didn’t. Nevertheless, Roman tells her that he is so proud of her and hugs her as she is near tears.

At Chez Rouge…Abe and Lexie are having dinner as she complains about how Roman treated her. She asks what if she didn’t really see what she thought she did. Chelsea shows up asking Maggie for a job. Maggie is skeptical about it but Chelsea says she is trying to change and talks about her new mystery man. She says she is also trying to help out so she and her mom can get a place of their own. Maggie tells her she will think it over. Meanwhile, Abby is hanging with Nick at Salem Place as she is still trying to convince him to tell Chelsea the truth about him being Lonely Splicer. He fears she will freak out and have nothing to do with him. He says that Chelsea could never love someone like him. Maggie calls Abby and tells her about Chelsea looking for a job and asks her what she thinks. Abby thinks Chelsea is trying to change, but the choice is Maggie’s. When she gets off the phone, she goes back to trying to convince Nick to tell Chelsea. He finally caves in and says he will call her and tell her to meet him at her house and he will tell her. Back at their table, Abe asks Lexie if she is afraid to give her statement…is that why she is changing her story. He promises he will have protection for her, Theo and Celeste if that is the problem. She asks him about other evidence and he says they came up empty, she is all they have at this point. She changes the subject to his doctor appointment and Abe explains that he is rejecting the corneas. The only chance is another transplant, but odds are that he can reject those as well. She says she will be behind whatever decision he makes. She tells him it is okay to be scared about it, but he says he can’t stand the thought of her having to take care of him…he would rather die. Chelsea checks back with Maggie about the job and she has decided to give her a trial run. They are short handed this evening and will see how she handles the job as well as the customers. Chelsea is thrilled with the chance. Chelsea brings over the Carvers’ coffee and check as Lexie is downright rude to her, telling her to leave them alone. Abe looks at the bill but can’t read it. Lexie pays the bill as Abe feels that he is letting her down already. She hugs him saying she loves him as he says he doesn’t deserver her.

Back at the Hospital…Steve holds the tarot card and begins to space out as he falls to the floor. Kayla sees him and rushes over. He is completely disoriented and she reminds him they are at the hospital and that John was shot. He says he is fine but says he doesn’t remember what happened. She insists he see a doctor, but he refuses, saying she is making too much out of it. She worries and says he needs a complete physical. He caves in and she goes to find a doctor. After she leaves, he sees the card on the floor. He picks it up and starts to have another episode. She sees him but he slips the card in his pocket and doesn’t show her. She asks if he is okay but he insists he is fine. She says all the doctors are busy so she is going to examine him herself. In the exam room, he is acting silly as she says his blood pressure is up (he insists it is because of her). He says he feels a little faint and kisses her saying he needs some Kayla-oxygen. She tries to get him to be serious, saying that there is something wrong with him. She tells him that she buried him once and mourned a lifetime…she can’t go through that again. She says he is going to have a complete neurological work up. As she goes to make him an appointment, he pulls out the card again and stares at it.

At Billie’s…She comes home, surprised to find the place empty. She goes through the mail and finds the letter from Steve and sits down and reads it. He says things like he is sorry for how things turned out…the guy that she met wasn’t the real Steve…and if things were different it may have worked, etc. By the time she finishes, she has tears rolling down her cheeks. She calls Kate but gets her voice mail and complains and whines to her, asking when is it going to be HER turn…she is tired of ending up alone. She begs her to call her back. She goes to the kitchen and stares at the bottles of wine in the cabinet. She takes one out and pours herself a glass, but sits it back down. Later, she is sitting on the sofa, drinking and smoking when there is a knock at the door. She stumbles over wiping her face (after hiding the bottle) and finds Nick who explains he left Chelsea a message to meet him there. (Hmmm…Billie…dumped…alcohol…crying…young man?...this is NOT a good combination…can you say “Mrs. Robinson?”). She invites him in as she puffs on another cigarette and he asks if she is okay? He pulls the wine bottle from behind a cushion and says that Chelsea told him she didn’t drink. I DON’T says Billie, but tonight is a special occasion and asks him not to tell Chelsea. He asks what’s wrong and she says he is to young to understand. She starts bawling and he offers to call Chelsea, but she begs him not to. But in the meantime, Chelsea calls and tells Billie that Nick is coming over and for her to get rid of him. When Billie gets off the phone, she turns to find him reading the letter and now he KNOWS what is wrong with her. She cries, calling herself a loser. Nick apologizes for reading the letter as she again tells him he is too young to understand. She cries and he says that he cares about her and that they aren’t really that different…he knows what she is going through, saying that he feels the same way. She turns and says “God help you then”. Nick tries to console her but she is down on herself. He sins she will find someone as she cries and complains about going home alone everynight. She says all she wants is someone to… “hold you” Nick says…and kiss you…They stare at each other as they move closer and end up kissing…as the camera pans to the letter on the table…and the previews show…

Max (to Mimi): Is something going on between us, Mimi?...

Lucas (to Sami): I don’t understand one thing…I mean…who got that beam off my leg like that?...

Chelsea (to Willow): Do you want to fight me?...cause I am game…

(a shirtless) Nick (to Billie): No, no, no…you aren’t going to tell Chelsea are you?...as Billie smiles at him…

Life in Salem is hectic after Christmas..but not from returning gifts as John’s being rushed to the hospital after being shot; Sami’s manipulated by EJ to bed her and for her to save Lucas’ life; Bo finding Hope and delivering their daughter into the world and Kayla and Steve’s visit with Benji. This might be MY last Early Edition folks as rumors are Canada is going to be showing DOOL the same day as the U.S…but we’ll keep you advised when we know for sure.

STEVE AND KAYLA are eating dinner out with Benji and his wife. They toast true love and their surviving the gas attack at the hospital. Kayla thanks Benji for visiting them there. Kayla tells them she wants to have them over for dinner and excuses herself. Benji’s wife comments how they look the same as the last time they saw him. Steve comments about how their hair has changed and steps away too as he got a cell call (wish more people in restaurants would do that, good on you Steve!) and Benji’s wife asks him what he’s waiting for..to give it to him so they can leave. Kayla and Steve both return as Steve tells them John was shot and they’re rushing him to the hospital. Kayla apologizes and says they’ll get together soon as she and Steve rush out. Benji’s wife encourages him to go after them and give them what he has so they can leave.

AT THE PIER…A replay of Tek telling Lexie not to let John down and rushing away before the ambulance and Roman arrives. Roman tells Lexie she has to tell him what happened. She tells him she saw what happened, the whole thing. She tells him about stopping to call Abe to let him know she’s running late and saw a couple men through a window and thinks it was EJ Wells. She can’t be positive as it was so quick and the windows so dirty, but he hammers her for positive id. We return as John’s being wheeled away, apparently not doing well. Roman yells for them to floor it and lots of noise, then apologizes to Lexie for coming on so strong. It was his operation and he got John involved. Lexie understands. An officer joins them and Roman orders him to see that the ambulance gets to the hospital okay. The officer whispers something to Roman and he informs Lexie that EJ must have stolen her car. He’ll have someone pick Abe up and will put an APB out on her license plate. Staring into her eyes, he tells her they have to nail EJ Wells. Lexie flashes back to Tek’s warning about making sure John’s shooter pays and her saying she can’t risk her marriage. Abe has been picked up from his appointment and now with Lexie. He tells her John has her to thank for helping him and Roman asks Lexie once again for her official statement. Lexie says she must be in shock as she’s rattled, but Roman tells her to give him an official statement and they’ll drop it for the night. Abe encourages her to tell Roman what she saw. Roman tells Lexie that they only have one witness and without positive ID, a guilty man can get away scot free. CSI team doesn’t get any evidence and Roman says it’s all up to her. Roman tells Lexie that Stefano is a bad man and can she live with herself if she lets him get away with this. Abe finally speaks up and says Lexie can make her statement when she’s up to it.

SAMI is frantically driving, trying to deal with EJ saying if she helps him get through the roadblock, that he’ll help her save Lucas. As he puts on his glasses and hat disguise (yup, that’s Stefano’s son, king of disguises…LOL), he warns her to just get him out of there or else. They get to the police roadblock and the officer asks for her license and registration..saying it’s not her car and she’s the designated driver as she doesn’t drink. EJ pretends to be asleep and they don’t even ask about him or want to see him (give me a break). Sami asks if he’ll help Lucas now and after they’re safely away from the roadblock, he appears to imply he will, IF she has sex with him. She asks why, he can have any woman he wants, and one who wants him. He tells her about how his father wanted him to plant his seed in the Brady of his choice and she should consider it an honor. Sami reacts like she ate a sour lemon and rebels, which turns him on even more. He warns her that Lucas’ life is in her hands. Sami asks if raping her is what he wants to do and he says however he can get what he wants is what he likes..already removing her clothes with his eyes. He asks her how it feels to hold Lucas’ life in her…..he clarifies he was going to say in her hands, but in reality he means between her legs…Sami angrily says OKAY, but asks for a guarantee he’ll help Lucas afterward. He tells her no guarantee and she tells him she hopes he goes to hell for all he’s done. He calmly replies his place is already being saved there. Leaning towards her, he asks if he should remove her clothes or does she want to. Fuming, she says she will, but he’s only getting her body. Snuggling next to her, he says…my dear, that’s all I’ve ever wanted….as she cries while he’s kissing her neck…afterward she zips up her sweater as EJ is blissfully smiling, claiming to be riding an endorphin rush. He says he’ll have to be sure to tell Lucas that…and Sami slaps him hard. She tells him he’s had his revenge and she’s scarred for life and will learn to live with what happened, but if he hurts her, Lucas, Will or anyone else, she’ll hunt him down and kill him (you go girl!) He retorts never to touch him again it will be the last thing she does., but our Sami warns him he better honor his promise , calling him Elvis to help Lucas and then he can slither back into his hole.

LUCAS is lying pinned down and imagines Kate joining him. She taunts him about how she warned him about Sami as she continues to take boxes of shoes out of her shopping bag, trying one on and tossing it in the trash. She tells Lucas that Sami is doing the same to him and the only person Sami cares about is Sami. After pulling a glass of wine from her bag, she disappears as Lucas lies there calling for first mom, then Sami. Later Will appears (in his mind) and he knows he’s not really there as Will tries to brush away snow unsuccessfully. Lucas is so tired and wants to take a nap as Will begs him not to, saying Mom’s on her way back and not to sleep for his sake. We join Lucas hearing Will’s voice telling him he loves him and to stay awake. Lucas opens his eyes and sits up, but Will’s not there.

BO breaks into the building where Patrick’s got Hope, pointing his shotgun at Patrick who’s crouched on the floor with Hope. He tells Bo that Hope’s in labor. Bo yells for him to stay away from her, but calls 911 for an ambulance. Bo is torn between trying to help Hope and keeping his eyes on Patrick..who is running around trying to get things to help and taking his jacket off for the baby once it’s born. Hope wants to push and Bo delivers the baby and wraps her in Patrick’s coat. He hands her to Patrick as he tells Hope the baby is pink and fine. Hope asks to hold her and Bo takes the baby from Patrick (all we see is the coat) and crouches down next to Hope with her. He calmy looks up at Patrick and says he’ll love and raise her like she’s his own. Taken by the intimate scene, Patrick replies “she is”. Hope looks up and says, “what are you talking about, we know you’re her father.” Patrick tells them no he’s not, she’s theirs, her and Bo’s. He tells them how he paid Dr. Bader to lie about the tests. Patrick says he’s not a saint, but he’s not a murderer either..if he was he wouldn’t be feeling what he is right now. He apologizes for putting them through all this. Hope tells him he did the right thing and that’s a good beginning. Later we find Hope in bed in the building and Patrick goes to check on the baby. Hope tells Bo this past few months she’s looked for ways for them to have a second chance and a way to put Zack’s death behind them and move forward. Bo said he has too, and life’s just not about grief. They can never get back what they had…but now they have this little life, this little blessing in their life..and she’s like a sign of how life will be. Hope and daughter are wheeled away by the ambulance crew and Bo promises to join her soon and refers to his daughter as his little princess (aww…just like Doug did to Hope). Hope kisses him and tells him to start thinking about a name for their daughter. Outside, Patrick tells him he’ll make sure charges against Bo are dropped and Bo said he knew EJ beat him up good and it’s pay back time.and urges Patrick to help them get EJ. Patrick doesn’t have a death wish and says he’s afraid of EJ Wells and Bo should be too. Patrick is taken away cuffed by an officer.

MARLENA is at the hospital as John’s wheeled in. She calls his name and he opens his eyes trying to say something. She pulls down his oxygen mask, but can’t understand him. They shoo Dr. Evans out so they can insert a chest tube and Steve and Kayla arrive. She tells them about how John came to, but has life threatening injuries, upset because John promised not to get involved. Kayla tells her that they can’t change the people they love. Steve wanders into see John while they’re talking (the same room that Marlena was just shooed out of (LOL) and he and John exchange glances. He tells John that Marlena’s outside talking to Kayla and she’ll be okay as long as he hangs in ..when John starts choking and the monitors start beeping. The doctor listens to John’s heartbeat as John starts convulsing. Marlena holds John’s mask in place and tells him to take it easy and he’ll be okay. She asks what he’s trying to say and Kayla and Steve are standing there watching puzzled as John keeps saying..killer, killer looking over her shoulder….Marlena tries to get John to repeat what he said, but he goes unconscious. Marlena doesn’t understand why John was looking at Steve when he kept saying killer. Kayla explains they’re both doctors and John’s brain was without oxygen and he didn’t know what he was saying. OR2 is ready and John’s whisked away. Kayla talks her out of going into the OR and Marlena says he can’t die.

EJ AND SAMI return to the cabin and Lucas is unconscious, but breathing. Sami demands that EJ remove the beam and he does so reluctantly, but says that’s all he’ll do. He’s leaving and taking the car and warns Sami if she tells anyone what happened, he’ll tell them she helped him escape and tell Lucas she’s been with him in the Biblical way for months. He says after he does one more thing..and she asks what that is…and he kisses her. She screams to GET OUT and he does so smirking that she was everything he expected and more and she rushes to Lucas screaming and throwing things at EJ as he calmly closes the door after saying that’s why he loves her. She pats Lucas’ face, calling him honey and promises to get him out of this and that they’re going to make it and she’s going to protect him (hmmm….another “who’s the daddy story on the horizon apparently…maybe she can discreetly get the DAY AFTER pill? yawn)

BO joins Hope in the ER and she’s calmly smiling..saying for the first time in a long time she knows everything is okay with them and their daughter. She can’t wait for her to join them and he says they’re cleaning her up now and she should be there soon. She tells him she loves him and asks him to go check on John and to tell Marlena they’re praying for him. Bo approaches Marlena who turns with tears in her eyes and tells Bo this is all HIS fault and if John dies, she’ll never forgive him. Bo is shocked.

KAYLA goes to check on John and Steve said he’ll wait for her at the desk. Benji rushes around the corner and signs to Steve that he forgot to give something to Steve, something important. He palms something into Steve’s hand, kisses him on both cheeks and dashes out. Steve looks at what it is and it’s a tarot card of the devil with red eyes burning and lightning bolts across the fingers on it’s right hand…..as the previews roll…

LEXIE TO ABE (out for dinner): Going blind is scary.
ABE: I’d rather die.

NICK TO BILLIE: I know how you feel.
BILLIE: How do you know?
NICK: Because I feel the same
BILLIE: God help you.

STEVE has a strong reaction to the tarot card and Kayla returns to find him confused and shaken.

MARLENA to SAMI: My husband is fighting for his life because it was more important for him to be a hero….

Summary: I have to say that this is one of the most action packed episodes I have seen in a long time…there is not a dull moment! I am only going to give a brief overview, because there is SO much dialogue, there is no way I could ever do it justice…it is just one of those MUST SEE episodes. Great writing, acting and direction, and I loved how all of it ties together. (If Reilly had still been writing, I am sure this show would have stretched over 2 weeks at least, lol.)




At the Boathouse…
EJ holds John at gunpoint and John tells him that he knows it was Stefano that sent him to kill him. They talk about the history between John and Stefano and John talks about how he was Stefano’s pawn but he turned his back on him…he would never want to live in Stefano’s world. EJ tells him he won’t have to worry about that much longer. Meanwhile, Roman is trying to reach John on his radio but can’t get an answer (EJ disabled it). John asks EJ what makes him think he will succeed in killing him where Stefano failed so many times. He says that Stefano realized early on that EJ had the right stuff as John says the gene pool is getting rather shallow. (Man, there is just way too much dialogue here). EJ says that HE never disappointed his father or let him down and John says he is true to his name…he really is “nothing but a Hound Dog”. EJ is not amused by John’s banter and talks about how he will inherit the DiMera empire. They hear sirens as EJ says that John betrayed the family and everything they stood for. John remarks that he just saw Stefano and he can’t even stand anymore. EJ says his health may be failing but his power will never die. John reminds him that he has a backup, but EJ reminds him that Roman has no idea what is going on. He then orders John to place a call to Roman and tell him that he is fine and that EJ never showed up. While John and Roman are on the phone, Roman gets another call…from Bo, who tells him about Hope. Roman tells John that he is going to help Bo and they will pick him up later. EJ says “finally…alone at last”.

In her car…
Lexie calls Abe (who is at the doctor) to see how his appointment went. She wishes he would have let her go with him. She talks about she and Theo love him no matter what. She says she is on her way and hangs up. Before she goes, Tek jumps in the car with her, saying he has to talk to her and begs for 5 minutes. She reminds him of the restraining order and wants nothing to do with him. They argue back and forth, with her telling it’s over and she wants nothing to do with him. He vows that he loves her but she says she loves Abe. She stops the car telling him to get out as he continues to declare he loves her. She says she will never turn her back on Abe again. About that time her cell rings and she sees it’s Abe so she orders Tek out, so he does. You’ll never guess where they are…yes, the docks. She is on the phone with Abe, telling him that she had car trouble and has called AAA. He tells her that the doctor has confirmed he IS rejecting the transplant and losing his sight. She tries to encourage him but he says that he has to face it…he is going blind. She tells him no matter what…he has her and Theo and they will always love him, and promises to see him soon.

Meanwhile back at the boathouse…
EJ tells John it has come to this…good vs. evil. John says that EJ has become a pawn himself, but with him he is doing it of his own free will. EJ tells him that he won’t be alone in the afterlife…there are others to die…Bo Brady and Steve Johnson are two of them. John asks why and he tells him that they are Bradys and there are scores to settle. While they are talking Tek walks up and overhears them. EJ also tells John that he has someone helping him…a secret assassin, but won’t tell John who. (EJ even jokes that it could be sweet Alice Horton for all he knows.) He talks about living in Salem undetected and working his way into everyone’s lives. John makes a move and as they struggle, EJ shoots. The camera pans to the window, where we see Tek watching. John crumples to the floor as Tek realizes he doesn’t have his gun or phone and takes off. As Lexie is about to pull off, Tek is banging on her window. Annoyed, she says this had better not be some trick as he explains that John Black was shot and needs help. They take off on foot and we see EJ hiding behind her car. He gets in it and takes off. They get to John and she says it is bad and calls 911. She tells Tek that he has to get out of there. He tells her he can’t leave, he is a witness…and he is sure that it was EJ Wells that shot John. They hear the sirens blaring and he refuses to leave. She says that if he REALLY loves her, he has to leave. He tells her he will leave, but SHE has to tell the cops that SHE witnessed the shooting.

In the Cabin…
Sami and Lucas cuddle as they are cold…the fire has gone out and there is no more wood. Lucas finds books and is going to burn them as Sami calls him her hero. He says that she is the hero, for setting up EJ. She is still frightened that he will come after her. She hears a creaking noise from above and yells for Lucas to watch out as the roof caves in on him, with one of the beams across his legs. He can’t move as he moans and groans. She tries to lift the beam, but it is too heavy. She tries to call on her phone but can’t get a signal. She covers him up and tells him that she is going for help, begging him to hang on and stay awake. She covers him up and leaves water and crackers for him and takes off. She says that he promised to protect her and now it’s HER turn to protect him. She makes it back to the car and tries to crank it but it won’t start. She can’t get a signal on her cell either and breaks down crying. In the distance, she sees headlights and jumps out frantically trying to flag the car down. She rushes over and gets in, thanking the driver for stopping…until she hears “hello, Samantha” and turns to see it is EJ. She tries to get out but he stops her, telling her he knew she set him up. She pleads with him to help save Lucas but he says no, SHE is going to help HIM. There is a roadblock ahead and she is going to help him get through it. She says she will but only if he will help her save Lucas. That is the deal…take it or leave it. He gets angry and says she is in no position to negotiate. She says she is not leaving Lucas to die. He tells her she is going to help him regardless…or SHE is going to die.

In search of Hope…
Bo has located the SUV that Patrick used and finds Hope’s key ring inside. Hope and Patrick are now in a warehouse as she tries to talk him out of this. But he doesn’t want to listen to her. She is trying to get him to turn himself in but he says he is just following orders and has one last assignment…to get her away from Bo and then kill her. She pleads with him to spare her baby…THEIR baby. She is able to sneak out her cell phone and call Bo, but he sees her and smacks it out of her hands. Luckily, it rang on Bo’s end before that happened and he can hear their conversation. As she and Patrick talk, she tells him that she is sure that Bo is looking for her and subtly drops hints as to where they are. She continues to try to convince him to turn himself in but he says it is too late for both of them. She says that Patrick is just in over his head but he stops her, saying he knows what she is doing…it is all in the police training manual. He says he never meant for this to happen…if she had just gone away with him, they could have figured out what to do. She talks about the baby and he yells for her to shut up…that baby isn’t real. She says that it IS real…and tries to get him to feel it moving. He begins to come unglued. She tells him it’s not too late…he is stronger than EJ and doesn’t have to listen to him. Patrick says that Hope never cared about him, but she says that isn’t true…she does care…just not the way he wanted…sorry. She continues to try and talk him out of it, saying he was a friend to her when she needed one, but he says he was just following orders. He talks about how he wanted out a long time ago but EJ wouldn’t let him. Bo is now outside and they hear him calling to Hope. Patrick runs over to look outside as Hope tries to whack him with a 2 by 4, but he stops her, telling her not to try anything like that again. Roman arrives as Bo calls Patrick to try and talk him out of it. Patrick tells him he will let Hope go…but he demands a helicopter and $100K or Hope will die. Bo tells him he can’t do that and Patrick says “wrong answer” and Bo and Roman hear a gunshot. Bo freaks out and Roman holds him back. Hope calls out that she is okay and Bo pleads with Patrick to let her go. Hope asks to talk to Bo on the phone and she assures Bo that she is okay. Patrick tells her they are going to plan B…he will use her as a shield so Bo won’t shoot. He grabs her around the neck, holding her in front of him and they head to the door. He says WHAT IS THAT? As she says her water just broke…she is having the baby. Patrick has an epiphany and says he is so sorry…and tosses the gun across the room, saying he never meant to hurt her. Roman gets the call about John and tells Bo that John was shot and he has to go…telling Bo to be careful. Bo hears Hope screaming from inside as he cocks his rifle…Freeze Frame on Bo…as the previews show…

Bo (holding the gun on Patrick): Get the hell away from her…(Patrick): Don’t shoot… (Bo): Lockhart, get away from her…

EJ (to a terrified Sami): Would you rather save your virtue and condemn Lucas to die or give a handsome devil his due?...

Abe (to Lexie): I want to hear it from you…what you did…what you saw…in your own words…

Steve (to Benji): Something you need to give me?...it must be something important…as Benji hands him a tarot card…with a devil on it…

Patrick comes for a reluctant Hope, causing Bo to give chase, while Sami & Lucas get caught in a blizzard, and Chelsea, as usual, turns the investigation into the skeleton into a scenario all about her.


In the abandoned church, Abby, Nick & Chelsea stand around as personnel descend thru the trap door into the basement. As they wonder about the soldier who ended up trapped down there, Chelsea turns the conversation to Lonely Splicer, and proceeds to give Nick a hard time about not finding him yet. She gets a call on her cell, walks away, leaving Abby & Nick to argue. She tries to persuade him to come clean, but he is upset that Chelsea cares for this guy, and not him. Abby tries to make him realize that it is HIM…both people. She wants Nick to tell Chelsea the truth. Chelsea returns, saying it was her mom, and she has to go home. Now the cops come up, carrying the skeleton on a stretcher. (Cannot get over how well preserved that Civil War uniform is!) Chelsea pesters Nick again, who tells her he thinks Lonely Splicer is in love with her, which makes her ecstatic. Chelsea gets another call, this time from Patrick. (see below). She immediately calls her father. Nick berates himself for chickening out about telling Chelsea the truth. Abby tells Nick that Chelsea is going to find out eventually, and it would be better if he told her.


Sami thinks they should maybe turn back, with it snowing so hard they cannot see the road. Lucas says he is driving slowly, and they should be o.k. She tells him she would rather be stranded with him in a snow bank, than back in Salem.She rants about how she believed EJ was her friend, and swallowed his lies. Lucas tells her not to worry, her dad and the Salem P.D. will take care of EJ. Uh, Oh, we hear funny noises, and yep, the car breaks down. Lucas tries to see what the problem is, but no go. The fuel injector is plugged. Sami worries about freezing in the car, then remembers a cabin she saw a mile or two back. They decide to hike back, dragging their bags with them. Aha, they find the cabin, and manage to gain entry with no problem at all. And wonder of wonders, a nice , big , dry stack of firewood sits next to the fireplace. Lucas manages to get a roaring fire going, while Sami puts out some crackers & snacks. They sit in front of the fire, laugh ing and teasing each other about Sami’s almost wedding to Austin. Lucas tells her that when she makes plans, the caterers no longer even unpack the food. They kiss, with Lucas asking Sami if she is sure She is. They kiss again.
Later, as they bask in the afterglow, they have a serious talk. Sami mentions how she hated thinking about Lucas in bed with Carrie. Lucas asks in a roundabout way if she ever slept with EJ. Sami is hurt, and angry, as she already told him she had not. Both admit they hate being jealous, are sick of it. They promise that they will be honest & true to each other, for the rest of their lives, and shake on it. (uh, oh…..that is going to come back and haunt one of them, for sure)


Patrick comes in to find Hope taking down some decorations, and with her back to him, saying they are closed. She turns around, and Patrick asks her if she is ready for their trip. She tells him she is not going, and he mentions their deal. Now she attempts to persuade him to testifying against EJ, but Patrick denies being involved with him. Hope knows better, and tells him to stop lying. She asks if he wants his baby to grow up knowing what his father has done, or worse, have his father in prison. They argue, and she refuses again to go with him. Now he pulls a gun, threatening her, as they continue to argue. Caroline comes out, Patrick puts the gun in his pocket, and Caroline wants to know what is going on. Hope just says Patrick came in for a drink, but she told him they were closed until tomorrow. Caroline agrees, telling him to try the Cheatin Heart. Hope covers for Patrick, and Caroline has some work to do in the back, then leaves, telling Hope to call her if she needs a hand with anything. Patrick again pulls out the gun, Hope picks up her coat, as Patrick makes a phone call to Chelsea! He tells her to be sure and tell her father that she saw him & Hope in a car, heading out of town, reminding her now the field will be wide open for her to get her parents back together. Chelsea tells him she is so over that, and hangs up. Hope is putting on her coat, then turns and sprays Patrick in the eyes with a can of something like Mace. He recovers, and orders her out the door to go with him. Later, he stops in front of some building, and Hope wants to know what is going on. He says for her to get out, he has his orders.


John & Marlena stop by, just to give moral support, as they are on their way to pick up Will, who is staying with them while Sami & Lucas are out of town. They all talk of how much Sami helped them with EJ, and how proud they are of her. A policeman comes in, saying that EJ is not to be found anywhere, so is probably at the boathouse. Bo is all wired and ready to go face off with EJ. He wonders about Lockhart, but Roman assures him the Salem PD has a tail on him. (yeah, right!) and Patrick is still in the house. (Patrick already explained to Hope that he borrowed his neighbor’s SUV on the pretense of having to haul something to the dump, and went out the back way, so his car is still in his driveway.)
Marlena wants to leave, but John protests. He says that HE was given the death card, and would like to just hang around and watch it all play out. Marlena agrees to let him stay, while she goes to pick up Will. After she leaves, Bo gets the call from Chelsea, telling him about her weird call from Patrick. Bo reams out Roman about the “tail” on Lockhart, and is furious that his wife has been kidnapped. He refuses to go to the boat house and leaves. Now Roman is in a pickle, but asks John to take over for Bo. John is reluctant, but finally agrees, and gets wired up, too.

Later, at the boathouse, John is in the dark, asking Roman if he can hear him. Loud and clear says Roman. Suddenly, we see EJ behind John , telling him to drop the gun, nice & easy. John does so. John tries to tell EJ that it is all over for him, but EJ tells him that Sami is like cellophane, he saw right through her attempt to dupe him and is disappointed John thought he was so stupid as to fall for it. John tells him all the roads are blocked out of town, and that Roman will be there any second, as he has heard every word. Oh, no, replies EJ, he has a little thing which jams the transmission. We see Roman outside in a car, getting nothing but static. Back inside, John asks EJ, “do you expect me to help you escape”? EJ points his gun straight at John, saying, “No, I expect you to die”. And the previews roll, showing………

Sami yelling: Lucas, watch out. He looks up, as a huge amount of snow engulfs him, and she screams.

John: Stefano’s world is one I would never want to live in.
EJ: Your not going to have to worry about that very much longer.

Bo: Lockhart’s got Hope in there. He’s threatening to kill her.
Roman: Alright, we gotta talk him out
Bo: I’m not in a charity mood
Roman hollering: Don’t lose your cool

Patrick: What’s that?
Hope: My water just broke. I’m having the baby.

An excellent Christmas show that’s unfortunately a day late for you all, but I loved watching it on Christmas morning! Set those dvrs, vcrs, tivos..whatever gang..as this is a show you’ll want to see as the Brady’s, Horton’s and Johnson’s celebrate with tradition, love and the Christmas Story at the hospital. Being Christmas morning I was going to do the condensed version, but couldn’t do it after watching the show. ENJOY!!!

BRADY CHRISTMAS AT THE PUB
Sami, Lucas and Will arrive outside the pub. Sami sends Will back to the car for Claire’s present and takes a moment to tell Lucas how happy she is that they’re a family again. Lucas takes the opportunity to add “in all ways but one”. She wants to uphold the tradition of waiting until they’re married and he agrees, hugging her and promising this time it’ll happen. She’s nervous about Stephano, but he assures her it’ll be okay. They all walk in smiling and greeted by Julie, Doug and Maggie. Nick shows Chelsea a picture of him in his younger days and she remembers her parents growing up made a big deal about Christmas too, but this family doesn’t want any part of her.

Kayla gets a call from Frankie, who’s stranded in Toledo Airport. He was anxious to return home to help search for Max. Steve tells sweetness that Max will find his way home and it’ll be a happy Christmas. He’s anxious to get to the concert, but lets her take him to the hospital to read the Christmas story first.

HOSPITAL
Stephanie is there and his two women encourage him to read the Christmas story to the children. Dressed in black leather, he pulls out his glasses and reads it to the quiet assembly of children. He stops, saying he can’t read this. He has to tell the story in his own words and does so, referring to God as the big dude and how they went to Bethlehem and had no where to stay and a guy asked them to stay in their barn. All the kids watch (most of you know the kids are family and friends of the cast and crew) as Steve tells the story in his own way, ending that the best gift of Christmas is love. He loves his daughter and his sweetness (as Kayla and Stephanie smile back) and Steve says he can tell they’re all loved too. Hope and Bo arrive for the rest. He concludes with PEACE OUT and a big sigh as he hugs Bo and Hope and his girls. Kayla and Steve rush off to the concert.

Belle, Shawn and Claire tell the anxious children that Santa Claus is here and encourages them with how Claire was in the hospital last year at this time and is doing well. Santa arrives (not sure who he is, but don’t think he’s a castmember).

HORTON CHRISTMAS
Maggie delivers the eggnog to the living room and we find Nick and Chelsea. She thanks Nick for inviting her, saying she knew she wouldn’t be welcome at the “very Brady Christmas”, LOL. Doug and Julie arrive (yippee…) and after hugging Nick, give him his parents Christmas present that they were asked to deliver. Nick rapidly opens it and finds something for his computer he’s been wanting forever. Julie makes sure he opens the card (how many of you are nodding this is so true, LOL) and he reads the message to himself, saying how much he misses them as Chelsea watches on jealously.

Belle, Shawn and Claire arrive, also happy to be together. They’re greeted by everyone and Julie rushes her great granddaughter off to show others after saying she’s the cutest Brady yet. Sami and Belle compliment each others dresses and Sami comments on they’re back with their guys. Belle said they’re not really together, but Sami knows it’s just a matter of time.

Bo walks up to hug Hope, who’s lost in thought about Zack. He promises they’ll get through this holiday and asks her not to go away with Lockhart. Later they join Chelsea and Nick and Hope gives Chelsea a kiss on the cheek and wishes her Merry Christmas. A genuine smile crosses Chelsea’s face as Bo says c’mon kid and gives her a hug too and then they both wish Nick Merry Christmas too. Chelsea is more relaxed and smiling now.

Maggie announces that Mickey is out delivering gifts or food to the homeless or something (c’mon… we’d all love to see the original Mickey return..but if he can’t, get someone for Maggie). Maggie has the box of Horton ornaments and we find Alice in her chair, look beautiful and dressed in red. Nick hangs his ornament with Joshua, Jessica and Marie’s (Jessica’s mother and Alice’s daughter). Nick asks who’s next as Chelsea returned to the frowning stance. We see Lucas and Will hang their ornaments under Bill’s. Lucas hugs Sami and says next year it’ll be her turn (oh please make that so!) Doug and Julie are next (and great photo op as they kiss and their ornaments are between them). She wishes Doug Merry Christmas and he replies..”fair lady, you’re my Christmas treasure this year and every year” (sniff) Bo and Hope hang theirs next and together, sadly hang Zack’s, with Hope saying she’ll love him forever. Everyone is quiet and feeling Zack’s loss. Chelsea has tears in her eyes and goes to step out, but Nick stops her. Shawn hangs his ornament next to Zack’s as Belle watches sadly. Bo nods to Chelsea and she brings her ornament to the tree while crying and nervously hangs in on the other side of Zack’s, not able to get it to stay. Hope joins her and they do it together as she hugs Chelsea’s face to assure her it’s okay. (okay you guys..you owe me big time for crying on Christmas morning typing this up while my family’s still sound asleep, haha) Very sweet moment. We next see Tom, Alice, Mickey and Maggie’s on the tree as Maggie speaks. She comments on how many of there family isn’t there, either elsewhere in the world or have moved on, but they’ll always be family, now and every day and says Merry Christmas. Everyone says it then as the camera pans the fully loaded tree as we see missing family members mingled with the present ones. We see Jack and Jennifer’s and when Abby’s is shown, we rejoin her in her car in the boonies.

MAX AND MIMI
Mimi comes out of somewhere wrapped in a blanket as her clothes were dirty. He’s done a little decorating with the ornaments and lights they’ve found. She asks him to hold the blanket while she gets dressed (why didn’t he just turn around?). Oh..it’s so he can see her shadows as she changes on the wall.

Abby is searching for them in her car, using her flashlight to check a map. She starts the car, asking God for his help as we see Max and Mimi dancing to Spanish Christmas carols, enjoying themselves. Max tells Mimi about her and him and on Christmas and she’s happy about the you and me part. Abby gets out of her car after hearing church bells ringing, calling for Max as we see him and Mimi kissing in the basement. The light sways as they also hear the church bells, encouraged someone will find them. Abby steps into the church and calls out to them and they answer. Max and Mimi hug. They call out about the trap door and Max taps it with a broom to show her where it is. Abby lifts the carpet and can’t get it open, so finds a convenient little crow bar on the altar (LOL) and does so. Max it just below it pushing it up with her and he and Mimi get out. Max hugs her and Abby smiles brightly, thinking her dream came true, but after Mimi thanks her, Max goes to Mimi and kisses her, relieved they’re out for Christmas. Abby’s smile fades.

BACK TO THE PUB
Many of the Horton party have moved to the pub after the hospital (Bo, Hope, Shawn, Belle, Claire) as we also see Stephanie there. Max and Mimi walk in and shout “we’re home” and are greeted by Bonnie too (?) Stephanie hugs Abby and finds out Chelsea’s prediction was true about Max and Mimi.

THE CONCERT
Kayla and Steve arrive too late and the manager said they started early because of the storm. She said she’s got all she needs now with Steve back and they dance. The guy tells them they’re closing and Kayla steps into the ladies room first. Clay Aiken walks in asking where his car is to the airport as he doesn’t want to miss his flight. Steve introduces himself, assuring Clay not to be afraid of the patch..he’s not a crazy fan, LOL, and offers him a ride to the airport and his car is right outside. He explains they were late as they read THE STORY to the kids at the hospital. Clay said if you’re late, that’s a great reason. Steve tells Clay to tell him if he’s overstepping, but asks a big favor, explaining his wife is a big fan and they just got back together after 16 years…cue the commercial as Steve explains (apparently). Kayla returns and Steve seats her at a front table. Clay walks out and introduces himself to Kayla. Steve explains they’re driving Clay to the airport and Clay tells Kayla that Scott found a track to one of his songs and he’d like to sing one of his love songs as a gift from Steve to her. He sings the perfect song about a man giving the only thing he can..himself…as they watch lovingly and kiss…the song continues as we join the pub folks as Mimi and Max step aside to hug and kiss as Shawn watches a little jealously…until Belle and Claire join him and he smiles and takes his daughter and holds her…while Sami watches smiling and Lucas and Will join her. Pop Shawn kisses Caroline at the bar and Bonnie pours herself another drink (sigh). Chelsea watches morosely as Nick joins her and puts his arm around her and pulls her in for a hug. Bo and Hope kiss in front of the pub tree as the picture fades and

We RETURN TO THE HORTON HOME as Doug, Julie and Maggie look outside and smile. The camera pans on all the pictures on the mantle…Belle & Shawn, Jack and Jennifer, Sami & Lucas, Doug & Julie, Bo & Hope, Abby and then an old black and white of the Horton original family. Alice holds Tom’s picture and says “Merry Christmas Tom, my darling Tom. Merry Christmas to all those we love near to us far away..the blessings of this day will be with you now and all the days of our lives. As the camera shows her and Tom’s ornaments and the tree angel as we return to Clay finishing his song I CAN ONLY GIVE YOU EVERYTHING I HAVE as he smiles watching Kayla and Steve kissing.

ON THE NEXT DAYS

LUCAS TO SAMI: When you talk about mistakes you’ve made, is EJ one of them?

HOPE TO PATRICK: I’m not going.
PATRICK takes a gun out and says “and I say we’re leaving, now” as Hope looks shocked at the gun.

BO TO ROMAN as John is there and listening: “He kidnapped my wife Roman!”

JOHN TO MARLENA: “Stefano sent EJ to kill me Doc. Stefano gave ME the death card and this is my fight.”

As “Santa Claus is coming to Town” plays and the credits roll…

It’s Christmas Eve in Salem and Sami helps the cops; Mimi and Max continue trying to get out as Chelsea, Stephanie and Abby search for them; Will has a close encounter with EJ; Abe’s vision worsens

ABBY, CHELSEA AND STEPHANIE go over the Hall of Records original paperwork on Victor/Titans holdings. Chelsea finds a property outside of town that has a barn, silo, farmhouses, etc., and shows it to Abby, who is sure that’s where Max is being hidden. Abby says she can feel that’s where Max is. Stephanie and Chelsea, the last two women with a crush on Max, smile at each other.

MAX & MIMI
Max continues to whack at the wall until a small hole is created. It’s too dark to see through, so Max continues pounding, but hurts his shoulder. Mimi picks up the hammer and while gently whacking, more of the wall falls. Max claims he just loosened the bricks for her and she whacks once or twice more until a hole big enough for them to step through forms. They enter the next area and find it dark and cobwebby with only a closet in it. She says unless it goes to Narnia, they haven’t gotten anywhere. Max opens the closet and a corpse falls out and onto Mimi, who’s screaming in terror of course. He’s wearing a Civil War uniform. They find a ring on his finger and a gun on the inside of his coat. Max figures they can blast their way out of there. Mimi sidesteps Max who’s waving the gun around, talking about how dangerous the gun might be after all these years, and for her to stay clear. Max tells her he, Pop and Frankie use to go duck hunting twice a year and he knows what he’s doing. Mimi freaks out saying she never got over Bambi and still hears the gun from it. He kids about how they need to get out of there as he has plans for them later. He steps up and fires the gun and we next see him unconscious on the floor. Mimi panics, but he was faking it as she moans about missing Christmas. We see the 3 Muskateers outside the property (?) as they try to convince Abby they should just tell Roman and Bo about what they found and it’s Christmas Eve…they should be home with their families. They’ve already searched two farmhouses unsuccessfully. Apparently they didn’t hear the gun, assuming they’re in the same place. Abby tells Chelsea to go home, but she won’t forgive her for not helping. Chelsea gives Abby reality lesson 1A that Max isn’t going to profess undying love to her if they find him and she’ll be crushed if he doesn’t. She knows, she’s been there. Abby agrees to take Chelsea home and then she and Stephanie will come back and look for Max, but Stephanie wants to go home too. Abby finally gets frustrated and agrees to take the other two home and will come back alone.

Max asks Mimi to think positive. He said they can have Christmas right there and they have music, food, water. He’s thankful for Mimi and all she’s done to help his garage. She remembers some ornaments somewhere. Max goes to kiss her, but she feels cobwebs on her face and wants to wash it off. (Hard to get excited about all this knowing she’s leaving the show.)

SAMI’S APARTMENT
Will is busy checking out presents under their tree when EJ knocks on the door. Will answers it. EJ asks how Will is doing considering Sami rushed to his hospital bed. Will credits being young and great genes for his speedy recovery from the surgery 48 hours earlier. He shuts the door on EJ and grabs the medical kit saying…appendectomy, here I come. Moments later he opens the door to EJ (who must have been insisting on coming in) and when EJ hugs him as they walk, winces telling EJ to be careful of his stitches. EJ pulls up his shirt and sees a taped bandage with blood on it and drops his shirt, but continues looking for Sami, opening every door to see if she’s hiding in there. Will offers to have him look under his bandage to see if his mom is hiding there..but EJ leaves and Will closes the door. Will calls Sami on her cell and briefs her about EJ’s visit. Sami is proud of how Will handled it, saying you’re my son, and orders him not to open the door to anyone until they get home.

COP SHOP
Lucas lets them all know he doesn’t approve of them using the woman he cares about and putting her in danger (ironic considering it’s her parents, stepfather, uncle and Abe asking her to do it in the first place, ey?). Sami is touched to hear Lucas vocalize that sentiment. Marlena takes the men into the office arguing she isn’t happy about this either, but they insist that Sami is the only one who can do it saying EJ moved across the hall from her for a reason. Sami and Lucas chat privately and she asks him to continue having faith in her. After Will’s call (see above), Sami tells Lucas and asks him again to let her help the police. Lucas says okay, but he and Sami walk into the closed door meeting in Abe’s office and Lucas demands that he set the ground rules…they can use Sami, but HE’S calling the shots. Love the expression on the top cops and other’s faces at that announcement.

John and Marlena wait with Abe in his office and Marlena is concerned about how Abe’s holding his head (he spilled some water earlier too). He collapses on the floor and John rushes over to help him too. We next find Lexie giving him some medicine and upset he called her instead of an ambulance. He’s worried about losing his job, but she convinces him his health is more important. Marlena has a friend that’s an opthomologist that specializes in transplants and offers to have him see Abe discreetly. They talk about how he’s seeing through Zack’s eyes and the gift he gave him of site. Abe finally agrees to see Marlena’s friend and shocked he can barely see his own hand. Lexie tells him it’ll be okay with tears in her eyes.

SOME NIGHT CLUB
Later we find Sami sitting in a club having a drink when EJ joins her. He told her that he stopped by to see her and she tells him that Will told her. She told him not to scare her son like that again. EJ asks why she’s there if she’s so concerned about her son and she tells him, because she went to see the police. We see Roman and Bo outside the club listening in. EJ doesn’t trust her at first, but she tells him about overhearing Uncle Roman on the phone with forensics and they found new evidence in the Eve Michaels case and are planning on arresting EJ after Christmas. EJ asked why she’s telling him and when suspecting he doesn’t believe her, she grabs her coat to head out, but he grabs her arm and she sits down again. She convinces him (apparently) that she likes him and felt she owed him after he stood by her (when Will was missing). Her family isn’t close and Lucas didn’t even trust her for one night alone with EJ. If Will hadn’t needed emergency surgery, who knew what would have happened that night? She continues on telling him about wanting to help him and heard her dad flag his passport and notifying other modes of transportation out of town. She’ll help him though after Christmas. There’s a boat house and she can sail him out of town and they can be together, saying sabatoge is her middle name, LOL. He apparently is believing this as Lucas storms into the club and rants at her for being there with EJ. He grabs her coat and insists she leave with him and she does so looking apologetic to EJ. Outside we see Bo ordering the undercover guys to stay with Wells and to keep an eye on him as Sami and Lucas join them laughing. Roman tells her he’s proud of her and not use to being praised, says “thanks Dad, I just hope it worked and EJ goes away for a long time.” A happy Sami wishes her dad Merry Christmas and same to Uncle Bo as she and Lucas walk away arm in arm to go home. Bo asks Roman if EJ takes the bite, if Roman’s looking for the perfect present for his baby brother, the chance to cuff and take EJ down would be it. Roman wishes Bo a Merry Christmas then.

Inside EJ gets Sami’s drink (hope she paid for it already, haha), stirs the candy cane in it and drinks it, then smiles. He calls Patrick and says the day after Christmas is when they’ll settle all bets. Patrick is to make sure Bo Brady is very aware he’s leaving town with his wife and to keep him distracted all evening. EJ said he’ll take care of everything else and after hanging up with a smile, repeats to himself…EVERYTHING…

As the previews roll..

Max to Mimi: I really like you.
Mimi: Is that a good thing?
They kiss and we see fireworks exploding…

SHAWN hangs Claire’s ball on the Horton tree as Belle holds her. He tells her she’s right there with the rest of the family from now on.

STEVE to CLAY AIKEN: I wonder if you could do a favor for me and my wife.
CLAY: “Sure, what can I do.”
STEVE: “You’re the coolest.”
CLAY chuckles.

As piano music plays 12 days of Christmas with the credits….(sweet)

Summary: For those that have been rooting for Sami…another good show! She agrees to help the police catch EJ, after she and Marlena have a great mother/daughter talk…Max and Mimi search for a way out of their basement prison…Shawn and Belle use EJ’s money to do good, but someone is watching them… Steve has a surprise gift for Kayla…and Hope tells Patrick she is not going away with him.

In the Church Basement…Max and Mimi wake up together, as they rationalize that they did what they had to in order to survive. Then they start kissing. They break it off and start talking about finding a way out of there. Max hunts around and finds an old hatchet and then finds a sledge hammer. He tells Mimi to work on the barred windows as he beats on the door. Later, Mimi is ready to give up when they hear footsteps upstairs, They yell for help and bang on the ceiling. Upstairs there is (what looks like) a homeless guy, saying he will help them…but he wants money, asking how much they have. Between them, they have $60 and offer it to him, but he wants the money first. Max says he will slip half of it up through the cracks and will give him the rest when he lets them out. He does this and the guy takes the $30 and wishes them a Merry Christmas…LOSERS. They beg him to let them out, but he says they will probably beat him up and take the money back, so he dances on the trap door and tells them he will say a prayer for them as he eats steak for Christmas. Max slams the sledge hammer into a brick wall and from the sound, he can tell that there is nothing behind it. They wonder why there is a fake wall in the basement of the church as Max says he is going to break it down and find out. He strips to the waist (of course) and begins to beat on the wall as Mimi watches.

At the Java Café…Shawn, Belle and Claire are there (as she munches on a piece of toast), talking about how well Claire did with Santa. Shawn talks about how much Hope is going to be missing Zack and he is going to give her one of the pictures with Santa to her for her birthday. They talk about Max and Mimi missing and wonder if Victor is involved in it. Shawn says that when they are found, he is going to make peace with them both but wants nothing else to do with Victor. He also promises that he is going to do the right thing concerning the money he has saved from EJ. A woman stops by, admiring Claire and talks about what a handsome family they are. She talks about her son being in the service and his family in Germany and how she misses them. She asks what Shawn does for a living and he simply says he is between jobs. They chat a while as she wishes them a Merry Christmas and excuses herself. Shawn has an idea of what to do with the money and tells Belle that he is going to use the money from EJ to buy Christmas gifts for the kids at the hospital Christmas party…so they head out to do some shopping. The mysterious lady watches them as they leave (ok, you know right away she is up to something).

At the Pub…Hope and Kayla are decorating the Christmas tree, talking about various things. Hope is down and out, missing Zack. Patrick shows up, wanting to talk to Hope, even though she tells him this is not a good time. Steve walks up asking if there is a problem, so Hope takes it outside, telling him she is going to talk to Patrick. Steve tells Kayla he has a surprise for her. He whips out 2 tickets to the Clay Aiken benefit concert…he has talked with Stephanie and learned what a fan Kayla is. Kayla is thrilled and hugs him, but then tells him that they can’t go. Outside, Patrick talks about their trip as Hope tries to get out of it, saying her family needs her right now and there is no way she is going off over Christmas. Patrick gets a bit angry and warns her that if she doesn’t go, he is going to call the DA and press charges against Bo for assault. Inside, Kayla tells Steve that the concert is at the same time that the Bradys and Hortons host the hospital Christmas party and they have to be there…it’s tradition. LOL as Steve says there is enough Bradys/Hortons to handle it, but she explains that Alice asked and she volunteered Steve to read the Christmas story this year. He isn’t so sure about it, but she says that Alice asked and you can’t refuse Alice. He gives in but says as soon as the party is over, they are heading for the concert and at least catch the end of it. Outside, Hope says if that is what Patrick really wants, then she will make the call for him as she whips out her cell phone. He stops her as she says she isn’t going to play mind games with him. She is going to let him be involved with the doctor visits and will let him be a part of the baby’s life, but she is going to set a few ground rules…and rule number one is that she is NOT going off with him over Christmas. This is her first Christmas without Zack and she needs her family around her. Patrick drops his head and tells her he understands, to go ahead and be with her family and then leaves. Kayla tells Steve it’s all settled then, they will go to the party, he will read the story and then they will go to the concert. She asks him if he wrote the letter to Billie and he says he did and mailed it this morning. She assures him that he has done the right thing…for closure. He says he just wants to move on with his life…and the woman he loves. Hope comes in saying “look who I found”…as she is carrying Claire, with Belle and Shawn following, loaded down with gifts. They all ooh and aah over Claire as Kayla and Steve wish Hope a happy birthday with hugs. Caroline comes down from upstairs, thanking Hope and Kayla for decorating for her and asks if they have heard anything about Max. Steve says something isn’t quite right as he drags Kayla over under the mistle toe and they smooch. Shawn and Belle offer their help, so Caroline says they can help make egg nog. Hope asks Shawn about all the gifts as he explains he used EJ’s money to do good and they bought all these gifts for the children at the hospital. She is so proud of him and hugs him, saying I love you, Shawn Douglas. Outside, we see the lady from the Java Café (she is wearing some kind of id badge with a star on it) watching them. She whips out her phone and calls Victor, telling him that she has made contact and they will proceed as planned.

Sami & Lucas…return home, him urging her to tell Roman what she learned about EJ, but she is afraid of what EJ may do to her, or Lucas or Will if he finds out. Lucas reminds her that she may spare them but others may also be in danger. He keeps on trying to convince her that she must do this and show a side of herself that others rarely see…that she could sacrifice herself to save others.

At the Cop Shop…John and Marlena are with Roman and Abe, filling them in on what they learned in Italy. They are all sure that whatever EJ is up to, it will only get worse. Bo shows up offering his assistance, much to Abe’s dismay. Roman and John both back him up. John says they will need Bo’s help even more now, considering HE (John) is officially off the case. The guys try to talk him out of it, but with Marlena by his side, he stands firm. Roman and Bo work on Abe until he finally caves in and allows Bo back on the force, handing him over his badge and gun (saying they were never that far away)…but he WILL keep an eye on him. John turns to Marlena and asks her if she is ready to become Salem’s #1 most boring couple. She says it will NEVER happen. They thank the Blacks for their help as they go to leave. In the outer office, she thanks him, even though she knows it is killing him…it is what’s best for both of them. He says that he wants to do what is best and if that means hanging up his holster, then so be it. Sami and Lucas come in, with her telling them she wants to share what she learned about EJ. She tells them about overhearing him and knows that he is connected to the DiMeras. Later they are all in the inner office as Sami explains what she heard. She tells them that EJ doesn’t know she overheard all of that as Abe promises police protection. John shows them all the death card that Stefano gave him and Roman asks why he didn’t tell them before. John says it was just a personal thing and that the old man was playing a sick game with him, letting him know he was a target. Lucas wants assurance that Sami will have protection as Abe explains to him she will, but Sami is still frightened. Roman wants to talk with John for a few minutes, so Marlena, Sami and Lucas step out. Abe, Roman, Bo and John talk about nailing EJ (John is there to only offer advice he says). They are sure they don’t have enough evidence and if they try and fail, he will walk. John says they will have to bluff him and set a trap.

Marlena and Sami talk in the outer office (Lucas is returning calls). Marlena says she is SO proud of her, but she is frightened for her as well. Sami takes her hand and notices the bruises, as well as the wedding ring. Inside, John tells the guys they have to let EJ think there is new evidence against him and they need someone that he trusts to deliver that news. They ask who as Abe suggests Kate, but Roman says she is out of town. They all turn and look into the outer office at Sami. Marlena tells Sami that she and John are married and that she loves him so much and she knows she will not like it. Sami tells her mom to brace herself…she thinks her mom deserves to be happy and she is so sorry for all the hell she put her and John through. Lots here, but she goes on to say that she knows that John has always loved her and was a good father to her, but way back when she caught them together (in the conference room) she convinced herself that John was the reason for all the bad things that ever happened to them and always blamed him. Marlena says that was as much her fault as it was John’s and she shouldn’t have blamed him. Afterall, she forgave HER (Marlena). Sami says of course she did…she is her mom. Marlena says that John has always loved Sami, no matter what Sami said or did…he will always think of her as a daughter (as both are in tears now). Roman is dead set against using Sami as bait, saying he can’t put her at risk. But Bo and Abe try to convince him that Sami is the only one that can do it and they will protect her at all times. Sami promises Marlena that she doesn’t hate John…she did such horrible things to him, but he never hated her back…and never held a grudge…she now sees why Marlena loves him so much (oh, this is good stuff here). She promises from now on, she is going to be better with John. Marlena thanks her and they hug, both crying as Sami is just saying, I am so sorry. The guys come out as Abe explains to Sami that they want to set a trap for EJ and need someone to help them…HER. Marlena can’t believe what they are asking but they say she will be safe. They want her to inform EJ that the DA is about to issue an arrest warrant and she is warning him, to help him escape town. The cops will handle the rest. All eyes turn to Sami as she says ok, I’ll do it. Lucas walks up behind her and says “like HELL you will”…as the previews show…

Mimi (to Max): Don’t do it Max…put the gun down…we will find another way out of here…PLEASE…

Abby (to Stephanie and Chelsea): I am going to keep looking for Max…I don’t’ care what you guys say…

Marlena: Abe, are you okay?...(as he falls to the floor and she and John try to help him)…

EJ (to Sami): If you are so concerned about your son, then why did you leave him at home…alone? (Sami): Because I went to the police…

The suspense is building, as Max & Mimi struggle to free themselves, EJ calls Patrick to Talledega to tell him of his plans, while Billie learns the truth, and the Salem P.D. enlists some junior cops to help in the search for Max & Mimi.

Billie is hugging Steve,unwilling to let him go, as she goes on and on about how happy she is that he is back home, especially after his phone call to her. Clearly uncomfortable, he ask if they can go somewhere private, & a grinning Billie comments that he just wants to be alone with her, and they head outside, with a pensive Hope watching. Billie continues to babble on and on, finally letting Steve get in a word. As he haltingly begins to talk of how, when he called, all he said was true, she realizes he is trying to tell her something. Just then Kayla arrives, she & Steve exchange a look, and she goes inside without a word. Billie finally understands what it is that Steve is trying to tell her, and he confirms that he has his memory back. A distraught Billie tells him she is happy for him, that he & Kayla are soul mates….again! But she berates him for not calling her to tell her right away. Steve tells her he is sorry, he was just going thru so much then, and he certainly did not want to hurt her. She pressures him to tell her what exactly she was to him. Chelsea comes out, Steve says he is sorry, and leaves.
Chelsea hugs her crying mom, and tries to comfort her. Then she announces that she is going to get a job. Yes, a job, and then she can help her mom out with the rent, and they can get a little apt. together, just the two of them. They can have people over, entertain, and if they want to have a guy over, they would not have to worry about Bon Bon coming out prancing around in her bra & panties. LOL Billie laughs, and thanks Chelsea, saying she did not think she would laugh again today. She looks in the window of the pub, sees Steve & Kayla in earnest conversation, then takes Chelsea’s arm and they leave.

Roman & Bo talk about how Victor did take Philip away from the hospital in Georgia, and was hiding him at the mansion. Bo knows they have gone somewhere else, and the mansion is closed up tighter than a drum. Roman realizes that Mimi & Max were right, thus Victor has got them under wraps somewhere. They are sure he would not harm them, as they are Philip’s friends. Roman suggests Bo go talk to Hope, and tell her what he was up to, which he does. He worries that Hope will be upset, but she isn’t, she is proud of him. She just asks him to be safe, that she wants him home, in her bed. Kayla comes and chats with them a bit, and they kibbitz back and forth.

Roman talks to Abby & Chelsea, telling them about the search for Max & Mimi, and how the police dept. could use their help. He knows that young people have places they hang, to get away from older folks, and wants to enlist their help in looking at those places. Abandoned houses, garages, basements, etc. Later, Abby talks to Bo & Hope, about the search, promising to pass out flyers, etc. Bo wonders about all the various properties that Victor may own in town, & suggests checking the hall of records at City Hall in the morning. (now that is refreshing, glad no one dashed over there right now, lol). Abby goes outside, sees Chelsea with her mom, and just tells her to call her in the morning.

Inside, Steve is telling Kayla about his conversation with Billie. Roman comes over to tell them that John called, he is home from Italy, and will meet with them in the morning. He leaves, Steve & Kayla resume talking. She suggests he write a letter to Billie, to tell her everything. He is not fond of that idea, saying he is not a poet, and would not have the right words. They discuss it a bit more, and he finally agrees that he will write the letter. (Now what the heck is that all about???). He tells Kayla he knows she loves him, and she smiles and agrees. He suggests they go home, and get naked. Kayla smiles, saying….and you said you were not a poet. (sigghhhh, lol).

Patrick arrives at some bar (reminds me of the Cheating Heart, ha!) to meet EJ. He is definitely not happy to have to come to this “armpit of the earth” in the middle of the night. EJ tells him that John Black knows he is Elvis DiMera, that Stefano sent him to Salem, and that he is the perpetrator of all the black glove crimes. Patrick panics, saying they both need to get plane tickets and get out of town. EJ assures him he already bought 2 plane tickets…one for himself and one for Patrick…to Salem! Patrick is surprised (and so are we. Why drag Patrick all the way to Talledega, only to turn around and fly him right back? Odd.). They argue, with Patrick saying he will just get away himself. EJ threatens Bonnie, talking of Patrick missing her funeral, & mentioning that Bonnie blackmailed him for a wad of cash, because Patrick has a big mouth. EJ asks Patrick if he has talked Hope into going away with him. Patrick says yes, and EJ then tells him he just go back to Salem and tell Fancy Face Brady their plans are pushed up earlier. Patrick tells him that he cannot do that, it is Christmas, and she has family. They argue some more, as Patrick warns him he will not hurt Hope. EJ makes fun of him, saying he really does have the hots for Bo Brady’s wife, and wonders where Patrick intends to take her, even though that baby is not his, and mentions the thatched hut on his little island. He talks of how Patrick followed him around Europe, begging him for work, knowing he was a DiMera, but tells him not to worry, that it will be his (EJ’s) hands that will get bloody, not Patrick’s. What the heck is he talking about? EJ says that 3 men will die, and the lst one will happen before he leaves Salem. Patrick pressures him as to who the victim will be, and EJ announces that it is John Black. Patrick believes EJ would never get away with it, and if he succeeds, Patrick will be cheering along with everyone else when they hang him from the nearest light pole. EJ tells him that he will be getting one last message regarding Hope Brady, and then he will never be hearing from EJ again. Then warns him that a surprise on the order of a hurricane or typhoon is in store for his little friends in Salem.

A tied up Max & Mimi talk of Victor, Philip, and their predicament. They are tied together, back to back, & Max says they have to try and escape. They manage to stand up, and he asks her to try and wiggle free. Mimi gives him an argument, but he tells her that sooner or later one of them is going to need to take a leak……..and she is a girl. She gets the point, and tries to wiggle in unison with him. That does not work, and he finally remember he has a knife in his front jeans pocket, so he tells Mimi to try and wiggle round to face him, as he cannot reach it. She succeeds, and now it is his turn. He manages to wiggle round, but they fall, with Mimi on top of him. She delves into his pocket, but they are pretty deep. She feels something metal, but he says those are his keys, go further down. She says she feels something……but he assures her “that is definitely not my knife”. The look on Mimi’s face is hilarious. Mimi tells him she feels like she is in an x-rated movie, but she finally finds the knife, and manages to get the blade open, and cuts thru a rope, freeing them both. She wonders where they are, maybe in Vic’s basement….but Max assures her that Vic has a 30 room mansion, and his basement would not look like this, with all these candles, and velvet cloths. Mimi gets a light bulb moment, and realizes they have to be in a church basement, and both wonder why no one ever came in and heard them. Ahhh, another light bulb moment, as she remembers the little abandoned chapel just outside Salem, past Univ. Hospital, and figures this is where they are.
Max looks around, finds a mattress (for a cot, it looks like) and they have the velvet cloths to wrap around themselves to keep warm. Both are starving, and look what Max finds. A picnic basket. Filled with food. How kind of Victor. Looks like enough food for a couple of days…but then what, Mimi worries. Now Max finds a radio which doesn’t work too well, but manages to find a Spanish station playing salsa music. Mimi tells him to leave it on, she likes that it is upbeat. They munch a bit, then Max says it is time for bed. Mimi is a bit hesitant, as the bed is a very small one, and perhaps they need to talk about this first. And the previews show….

SAMI TO LUCAS: (anxious voice) I’m afraid of EJ. He was violent, he’s capable of anything, even murder.

PATRICK TO HOPE: You go be with your family. Enjoy it.

KAYLA TO STEVE: There’s just one last thing.
STEVE: What’s that?
KAYLA: Did you write that letter to Billie?

ABE: Sami, we’d like to set a trap for EJ Wells
JOHN: In other words, they need someone to help set him up
ROMAN: We’d like YOU to be that someone.
Sami is shocked!

Bo and Steve team up again, Billie visits Kate and the pub, Nick’s influence on Chelsea starts to show and John and Marlena are jetting back to Salem.




SALEM INN
Kayla and Steve look through a scrapbook from their earlier days as they mention Benjy’s visit at the hospital. They find it hard to believe Stefano’s kid turned out so well.
Steve is feeling “romantical” and Kayla giggles (sweet) as he wants to carry her over the room’s threshold. They open the door full of love and giggles and find Hope there. Observing the two, she comments she missed a chapter (or two) apparently, LOL. They tell her that Steve did get his memory back at the Inn they stayed at, but Hope still suspects that Steve is only pretending. Kayla admits knowing how Hope and Bo tried to help Steve save her life by giving him memories of her. Hope tells them how Mimi and Max are missing (Patch can’t believe “Maxwell” is missing). Kayla goes to get her coat so they can go to the pub. Hope welcomes Patch back after he confirms it’s true and he says it’s good to be him again. He said Hope’s sheets she gave him helped him with Kayla, does she have any to help him with Billie? She says he’s on his own, but she knows he’ll do fine. He replies it’s not himself he’s worried about.

MYTHIC
Billie pops into Kate’s office and finds her wrapping up some business before heading out of town on a “business trip” to Montreal. Kate lets Billie believe that’s what she’s doing until she answers her admin’s buzz to tell her Mr. K. called and his car will be downstairs in 20 minutes. Billie knows Kate’s up to something and refuses to let her leave without more info. Excited, she tells Kate about Steve’s call saying he was going to tell Kayla the truth about not remembering his pastand he wanted to be with her. Kate shows 10 seconds of happiness for her daughter before promising to call and do lunch to chat more about it when she returns. Billie remembers that Kate and Victor are competitors and demands the truth. Kate lies that Victor is emotionally distressed since Philip’s disappearance and he agreed to see a psychiatrist. Billie doesn’t believe that, but does believe that Kate’s trying to get Victor to bed and to go on a romantic holiday with him. She wished her mom was happy for her that a man she (Billie) wanted picked HER. Kate rushes out, promising to do lunch when they get back to celebrate.

BRADY PUB
Stephanie visits the pub (where Bo, Roman and Chelsea are already) to comfort Caroline and assure her Max and Mimi will be found soon. Roman briefs Bo on what he found at the Kiriakis mansion, but can’t do anymore without a search warrant. Bo said Roman can’t, but HE can. Bo says he isn’t on the force and nothing to lose. He’s Victor’s son and he wouldn’t press charges on him. Max needs them. Roman wants to go with Bo, but Bo refuses being Roman’s still PD Commander. Kayla and Steve arrive and Bo tries to take off after saying hi, but Hope asks what he’s up to. She tells him that Steve really did get his memory back. Bo gets an idea and goes over to congratulate Steve on really being back. Steve thanks him and remembers Bo owed him some money from 1989. LOL. Bo asks Steve for some help and the two of them leave together.

Stefanie joins Abby, Chelsea and Nick in a booth. Chelsea wonders if Mimi and Max eloped. Chelsea rattles on about how this lonely splicer is so in love with her that he’d take her to Fiji if she mentioned wanting to go there and Abby finally explodes for Chelsea to stop. (hey, that’s where the 14th Season of SURVIVOR was shot..wouldn’t it be interesting to see Chelsea on Survivor, LOL) Abby tries to tell Chelsea that the picture on the internet isn’t probably even the real person who’s emailing her and to think about him for once and not always about herself. Nick tells Abby it’s okay, willing her to stop before saying anymore. Abby admits feeling Mimi’s at fault for Max’s disappearance. Chelsea clarifies that if Max hadn’t fallen for Mimi that maybe she (Abby) would be the one who disappeared with Max instead. Abby retorts that at least she didn’t date her own uncle (ouch) and Stefanie pops up in both their defense that he’s not their “biological” uncle, haha. Abby finally breaks down, admitting she loves Max and he’s her soul mate..he just doesn’t know it. Stefanie and Chelsea chat outside after Nick takes Abby in to talk. Kayla joins them and asks Stefanie to help her find Grandpa Shawn who refuses to come home until Max is found (Kayla sure recovered quickly..and no Lexie around to watch over her). Chelsea watches Nick and Abby through the glass. She joins them inside and admits even though Max was technically her Uncle, she did care for him. She asks Abby if they’re okay and Abby says yes. Nick goes to leave and after asking Abby if she’s okay, gives her a kiss on the cheek goodbye. An awkward moment as he pauses in front of Chelsea. She tells him he can give her a kiss too, it’s not like she wants to jump his bones or something. He says my loss and leaves.

AIR JOHN
We find John and Marlena jetting back to Salem sipping wine and discussing what they’ve learned about EJ. He notes her bruised hand, wishing he’d popped Stefano when he had a chance for hurting her and Marlena found it hard someone so ill was so strong. She asks about their marriage certificate and he says it’s in his coat pocket. He wants to have it translated to see all that he agreed to she goes to get it. She pulls it out and pauses as the tarot DEATH card was with it and she asks what it is. John gulps and said he was going to tell her about that as she gets shook up as he expected he would. He mentions how Celeste was surprised that the death card was missing before and Marlena realizes the old man intended to give it to HIM and HE is the target. He didn’t give it to her and could have. He says they took vows to be there for each other and she asks how they can do that if he’s dead? She wants him to turn the case over to Salem PD, but he refuses, saying it’s personal and he can’t do nothing. She urges him to keep a lower profile and the card Stefano gave him was a gift, a warning to lay off. She tells him to put his family first and he asks if this is an ultimatum. She denies it being an ultimatum and he assures her she’d be his choice if it were so. She wonders if they should just let Stefano die of old age and John snorts if Stefano will ever die. He promises to get Abe and Roman up to speed once in Salem and he’ll be officially off the case. She says she’s heard this before as he reminds her about the promises they made before throwing the coin in the fountain. He gives her a similar coin and tells her it’s one for her to keep and remember how much he loves her and she can trust him when she looks at it. She replies she loves and trusts him too and asks if she can make one of his wishes come true, asking for ideas. Kiss Kiss. They decide to continue their honeymoon on the jet (sure beats sitting in coach watching a movie while they throw you a bag of peanuts, haha.)

KIRIAKIS MANSION
Bo and Steve lurk outside the estate. Bo briefs Steve that Victor’s away on a business trip and when he’s gone, so is the staff. He hasn’t broken in “lately”, but glad Steve’s back. Steve smiles saying it’s good to be back. Bo has trouble with the door, so Steve kicks it in and says “after you Beauregard.” They look around with flashlights, looking for anything that might lead them to the truth. They smell antiseptics and follow the scent. They find the room Philip was hidden in and know Victor didn’t use the hospital bed and wheelchair. They hear security has been alerted that someone’s in the house. Bo snoops through the wastebasket of crumpled paper and bandages for clues.

BACK AT THE PUB
Roman urges Hope not to take away Bo’s pride, it’s all he’s got left after losing his badge. Billie joins Hope at the pub and admits how happy she is about Steve’s call. Hope stares at her trying to decide how to answer. Hope finally says she isn’t comfortable discussing this and moments later Bo and Steve arrive. Bo fills Roman in, showing him the bloody bandage they found and had tested confirming it’s Philip’s blood. Max and Mimi were right, Victor took Philip out of the military hospital and must have gotten too close, so Victor got them. They can’t understand why all this is happening.

We see Mimi and Max tied together, back to back, in a basement somewhere. Max tells Mimi to stop screaming for help as she’s done so for two hours and no one has come down. She fears no one will come rescue them and is cold. He says they will and Victor will pay as the previews roll…

MIMI AND MAX are on the floor, she’s on top. She reaches down and says she’s found something…and “okay, that is definitely not my knife” (LOL) as she gasps (her expression is priceless)…

BILLIE TO STEVE: “You’re trying really hard to tell me something.”
STEVE: “I’ve got my memory back”

HOPE, HUGGING BO: “I could have lost this.”
BO: “That will never happen again.”

Summary: I have to admit, this is one of the BEST episodes I have seen in a LONG time…lots of danger and intrigue and very suspenseful. Sami and Lucas have to think fast to get out of harm’s way…John and Marlena learn the true identity of EJ Wells…Roman is onto Victor and warns Belle & Shawn…then he goes snooping at the Kiriakis Mansion. (Note: Even though we don’t actually SEE Stefano…they do a good job of making his presence felt in this show…dark and menacing. I just wish it was Joe Mascolo in that hospital bed and we knew that he was actually returning!)

At the Brady House…
Belle is playing with Claire when Shawn comes in, talking about moving back home. He tells her about what happened with Willow and that she was right all along. What a mess he made of his life. She tells him since her parents are gone, she is staying there with Bo and Hope (huh?, since when) and now they can spend time together with Claire. Victor calls asking Belle for a favor…he is going on a business trip and wants to spend time with Claire before he goes. She doesn’t know what to say and finally agrees, but only a short visit, so he is on his way over. Shawn doesn’t want Victor around Claire and tries to convince Belle not to let it happen. But she thinks it is only because Victor reminds her of Philip and that maybe Shawn is jealous. She thinks that maybe Shawn and Victor should try to get along. Roman shows up and tells them he wants to talk to them about Victor. Apparently, Roman has been working overtime, telling them that they shouldn’t let Victor take Claire because he thinks that Victor was responsible for having her taken before…and that he thinks he is responsible for Max and Mimi’s disappearance. This is all news to Belle and Shawn, so Roman explains the story about Philip being injured and Max and Mimi tracking him down. Then how Philip disappeared from the hospital…and NOW Max and Mimi missing. He thinks Victor is behind all of it. He warns them that they shouldn’t let Claire out of their sight.

After Roman leaves, Victor arrives for Claire as Shawn tells him it was a wasted trip. Victor asks Belle where Claire is and she tells him she has changed her mind. They try to make excuses about it being late and her being tired, but Victor asks what is really going on there. Belle asks where Philip is as Shawn asks about Max and Mimi. Victor plays innocent to all of it and says it sounds like someone is filling their heads with nonsense…probably Roman Brady. Victor claims that Roman is lying and that he had nothing to do with any of it. He begs to see Claire, but Shawn tells him NO…not tonight…or any night. Belle agrees with him, until they find out what has happened to Max and Mimi. Victor is furious and tells them they should know better than to make an enemy of him…and they will wish they hadn’t. He storms out with a slammed door behind him. Later, Shawn thanks Belle for backing him up as they discuss Victor’s sudden interest in Claire. Shawn thinks that Victor is behind all of it. Belle blames herself for Philip running off and getting injured, but Shawn reminds her that he left on his own. He tells her that he believes that Victor and Philip are in this together and they are trying to take Claire away from them. He hugs her and tells her not to worry…he is going to do everything he can to protect his family.

Earlier at the Kiriakis Mansion…
After Victor’s call to Belle, he calls the doctor, telling him they will be there tomorrow. He tells Kate and Philip everything is set and he explains that he is going to get Claire so she can spend some time with Philip before they leave. He tells them that when they return, they are going after full custody. Kate announces that she is going along as well, but Victor wants her to stay in Salem and cover for them and diffuse any situations that may arise (with Max and Mimi). She asks what he did with them and he says it would be best if she didn’t know…but they are not harmed…just out of the way. He tells Kate she has to stay in Salem and lie through her teeth if she has to. He begs her to do it for Philip’s sake.

After Victor leaves, Roman arrives finding Kate there. He asks why she is there and she claims she is helping Victor pack for his trip. Roman doesn’t buy it and comes on in, asking questions about Philip, like if Kate knows about him missing from the hospital. He starts nosing around and asking what she and Victor are hiding (as we see Philip watching from the hallway). Kate plays dumb and claims that Victor has nothing to hide, so Roman asks if he can look around. She tries to stop him, saying Victor will be furious but Roman says she is afraid he will find something. He starts looking around, saying who knows…he might get lucky. We see Philip in the other room, holding Claire’s picture as they head for that room. Roman walks in and it is empty, but there is a coffee cup on the table. He picks it up and says it’s still warm, noticing that it is black coffee and Kate drinks her with cream. Victor comes barging in asking what is going on there. Roman immediately asks about Max and Mimi as Victor tells him to get out of there and threatens to sue the police department (go ahead…everyone else has, lol). Roman warns him…IF he had anything to do with their disappearance, he will pay. After he leaves, Victor tells Philip he can come out now. Kate tells Victor she IS going along and they begin to argue. Philip holds up a note that says “let mom go”, so Victor gives in and tells her to go home and pack. He tells Philip not to worry, Dr. Weinstein will fix him up and when they return home…he will have his little girl back forever.

In Talladega, Alabama…
Sami watches as EJ is having his tantrum. He sees her and asks how long she had been standing there. She claims she didn’t hear anything other than she heard he was giving someone hell…and glad she wasn’t on the other end of the call. He flips the switch and turns on the charm and suggests that they go upstairs for that drink. She makes excuses and says she lost her room key and needs to go and change first. She says she will get another key, change and meet him there. As soon as he is out of sight, she whips out her phone and makes a call, crying, pick up…please pick up! Lucas comes in as she hugs him, thrilled to see him. He asks if she isn’t mad that he is there and she tells him she was, but now realizes he is just trying to protect her. She tells him about overhearing the phone call and EJ’s temper. He wants to get her out of there, but she says she can’t go…EJ is expecting her and if she doesn’t show, he will know she is on to him. She tells him what she overheard…Stefano’s name and that Bo and her dad were right all along…he IS connected to the DiMeras. She starts crying, saying she thought he was her friend and it was all lies, and all along he was just using her to hurt her family. She beats herself up for ever trusting him. Lucas reminds her of all the crimes in Salem and that EJ may very well be responsible for ALL of them, including the murder of Eve Michaels. If so, she is in serious danger and he must get her out of there. She says if she doesn’t go up there, he will know something is up and may escape and the cops will never catch him. For once she wants to do the right thing and tells Lucas she has an idea. She tells him to go call Will and have him call her and she will make up a story. Lucas asks why HE can’t just call her and she says EJ may check her caller ID (good thinking). So Lucas finally gives in and hurries off, promising he isn’t going to let anything happen to her. Sami heads to the elevator and runs into EJ who is looking for her, asking what is taking so long. She tells him that she ran into one of the investors and they were talking. They head for the elevator and her phone rings, Will calling. She acts all upset, telling him she will be right there and everything will be ok, pretending like he is in the hospital with appendicitis. Will, on the other end is totally bewildered, LOL. She gets off the phone, telling EJ that she has to go, so he tells her he understands. But before she leaves, it rings again, with Will asking what is going on. She cuts him off and tells EJ she has to hurry and rushes off. Outside, she meets up with Lucas, telling him that EJ bought it, but Will probably thinks she is crazy. Lucas says what else is new as they kiss and rush off together with Lucas’s arm around her.

In Italy…
John is getting antsy while Marlena is in with Stefano. Inside, he beckons for her and she moves closer as he extends an outstretched hand. She asks what he wants from her as she goes over and takes his hand, staring at the Phoenix ring. She tells him that she and John are there for answers about someone…EJ Wells and she wants the truth…does EJ work for him? The hand points over to a table of photos and the camera pans the photos and stops on one of Stefano (dressed as Elvis) with Susan Banks and Baby Elvis. In the hall, John tells the goon Marlena has five minutes in there and then he is going in…and the clock is ticking. Marlena picks up the photo and says it’s Susan and her son…Elvis Jr. As she says his name, the realization washes over her like a wave as it hits her full force…and she says EJ is your son! John tells the goon that time is up and he wants her out of there NOW and pulls his gun. Stefano motions her back over to his side as she asks WHY he sent EJ to Salem…was he following HIS orders? He grabs her hand and begins to squeeze hard as she starts yelling for John. Through the door, we see a struggle and hear a gunshot.

John bursts into the room and yanks Marlena away. She tells him who EJ is and shows him the picture. John can’t believe what he is hearing and tells her he wants a minute alone with the “old man”, demanding to know why Stefano sent EJ there…or he will make sure he is dead this time. There is banging at the door as Marlena goes to the door and picks up a gun and points it at the nurse and doctor, telling them they aren’t finished in there yet. John points his gun at Stefano, telling him he has three seconds and begins to count. WHO is EJ’s next victim?...if he doesn’t tell him, it’s going to be HIM. Marlena tells John to hurry, the police will be there shortly as Stefano tosses a tarot card at John. He picks it up and looks at it…it is the death card. We hear maniacal laughter and wheezing and the utterance: “Go ahead…do it…do it”. Stefano calls him a coward and says go ahead…shoot him. Marlena tells John no, if he does, they will never get out of there alive. They rush out of the room as the doctor and nurse rush in to his bedside and he we hear laughter. Marlena asks John if he got anything out of him and he says no, the old man is a lost cause…but he will get what he needs out of EJ when they get back to Salem. Later, we see Enrico on the phone with EJ and he tells him that the time has come…Stefano gave the nosey American the death card…his orders are to kill John Black and get out of Salem…forever. Freeze frame on EJ as the previews show…

Chelsea: I guess ‘Lonely Splicer’ is having a pretty good effect on me…(Nick): Lonely Splicer sounds pretty deep…(Abby): and in deep over his head…

Roman (to Bo): And if you get caught?...(Bo): Then I have nothing to lose…

Hope (to Kayla and Steve as they kiss): Looks like I missed a chapter…or two….

Marlena (holding up the death card to John): And what is THIS?...

GOOD show as our Salemites brain cells are returning in full force as we find Mythic’s execs on their business trip, Bo and Hope’s compassionate nature returning with the way they handle Shawn’s current dilemma; and John and Marlena outside Stefano’s hospital room door.

MYTHIC ON THE ROAD
Sami officially introduces EJ to the group of men gathered at their business meeting, all potential sponsors for Mythic’s racing team. Lucas quietly enters from outside (interesting the meeting room is right off the front door) and observes as EJ slides his arm around Sami and comments on her beauty to the men. While Sami hands out brochures, EJ notices Lucas “skulking in the shadows” and slips away to acknowledges his presence. Lucas comments on Sami’s good work and EJ suggests that Lucas tell her so, taking his arm to include him in their group. Lucas prefers to keep a low profile. EJ plays the warm host, inviting Lucas to have dinner with them. At first Lucas pretends he doesn’t want to interrupt Sami’s work and will return later, but finally levels that he doesn’t like or trust EJ and only there to protect Sami. EJ calls him on the fact how that will infuriate Sami and she’ll know that Lucas doesn’t trust her. The two men watch Sami handle the sponsors with ease. EJ proceeds to go over Lucas’ previous track record with wives and Sami. He challenges Lucas to show his face, but Lucas calls EJ on his plans to celebrate with Sami later in his suite. EJ tells Lucas he’s on his side and a romantic at heart. If he wants to leave, he promises not to tell Sami that he was there. We see Sami thanking the men and telling them she’ll see them at dinner later. She glances by the door only seeing EJ from the back and calls out his name. A sponsor calls her back, saying he wants to dump a lot of money into Mythic and she thanks him as EJ gives Lucas the opportunity to leave if he wants to. He does, warning EJ to keep his hands off Sami first. Sami joins EJ and asks him who he was talking to. You can see EJ pondering his answer and finally says it was Lucas. Sami is a little flustered that Lucas showed up. EJ suggests just the two of them go up to his suite to celebrate with a bottle of champagne, saying dinners a couple hours away. Sami asks for clarification and EJ assures her he doesn’t mix business with pleasure (yeah, right) and just wants to discuss their business dealings. His cell rings and he excuses himself to take the call. It’s Enrico (the last time he enters Stefano’s room described below), telling him that John Black is there and the old man says it’s time for EJ to leave Salem. Looking around, EJ said not yet, he hasn’t finished what he came for (uh, you’re NOT IN SALEM AT THE MOMENT). We see the inside of the hospital room and it’s dark and gloomy and an old hospital bed (with a raised, draped off section where the head is), with a goon standing on the other side of the door nodding as Enrico reiterates the old man has spoken. Sami walks by the open door to the outside where EJ is talking on his cell and hears him say he doesn’t give a damn about John Black being there and he doesn’t give a damn about Stefano’s orders..he’s not listening to him any more. Sami peers through the door as EJ hangs up and takes his anger on something on the porch.

BRADY HOME
Hope comes downstairs to find Bo going over maps and paperwork. He explains Roman’s visit and Max & Mimi’s disappearance as to why he didn’t return to bed for Round 2. Frustrated he can’t be more involved in the physical part of the search being he’s not on the force because of Patrick, he reassures Hope it’s not her fault. They both feel bad about what’s happened, taking responsibility for their actions and reaffirm they’re back together now. (Bo and Hope fans will want to watch this episode for the full dialog) Hope respects Bo’s honesty and taking responsibility, but he argues asking why he keeps making the same mistakes over and over. She said she did the same, giving Patrick chance after chance. She credits Bo for going after what he believes in. They talk about Shawn’s current roommate and job…worried about the legal ramifications he’ll face. He fears Shawn is like him and rebelling. Hope explains Shawn loves him and is slowly finding his way back home citing how Shawn was the one to defend Bo when arrested and is kicking Willow out. They hug and kiss and the phone rings. It’s Shawn calling them and Bo tells him they’ll be right there as he and Hope rush upstairs to change first.

SHAWN’S APARTMENT
Shawn breaks the safety chain after seeing the fire and bursts into the apartment, yelling to Willow if she’s okay. Staring at the fire she says it’s out of control and she can’t stop it. He grabs the handy fire extinguisher and puts out the fire. We return to the fire now out, but the buildings excellent sprinkler system is raining on them. Shawn opens the door and we hear the fire department on the way with sirens and horns blowing. Shawn picks up the framed picture of him and Claire, telling Willow he was going to give this picture to Claire (nice thing about digital pictures is someone else is bound to have one too Shawn). Hearing the sirens he tells Willow they’re going to have some questions for you and you better have some answers!! Later Shawn pulls Willow away from a mothering neighbor who’s comforting Willow and getting her warmed up. He asks how she could burn a baby’s toys, etc. Willow rants she’s tired of competing with a 15 month old and her mother and for him to just deal with it. She lies to the firefighter saying she fell asleep when the fire started and thankfully Shawn got home in time to put the fire out. Shawn stops her and tells her to tell the firefighter the truth. She glares at Shawn as they lead her into another room to talk. Meanwhile, the apartment manager storms in the room upset that Shawn’s loud music, etc., wasn’t bad enough, now this fire ruined two apartments. Shawn’s puzzled and he explains the apartment downstairs sustained water damage from the sprinklers. Shawn offers to pay for the damage and the landlord assures him he will and tells him he’s also demanding he move out as well. Bo and Hope arrive and Bo removes the landlords jabbing finger from his son’s chest, reminding him it’s not nice to point, LOL. The landlord asks if they’re his parents and tells them about how their son’s loud music, having someone live with him whose name wasn’t on the lease and now this is why he’s evicting him. Shawn said HE didn’t start the fire, but the landlord again reminds him that HIS name was on the lease. Hope asks the landlord if he has fire insurance (he does with a high deductible saying that their son is going to pay) and she asks Shawn if he has renters insurance (he does for personal belongings) and tells Hope it’s in his lock box in his bedroom…(his birthday is the combination..tsk tsk…against the golden rule of not using easy to figure out combinations). While Hope goes to get it, Bo asks Shawn privately if it was arson as we see Willow being led away by Salem PD in handcuffs as she glares at him (hmmm…does fire insurance normally cover arson?)

We return to Bo handing Shawn a little candy cane (aww) and opens one himself to suck on while telling Shawn he’s not there to lecture or come down on him like a dad..he’s there to help. He asks what happened. Shawn explains he told Willow it was over.while she was decorating the tree..Bo responds “ouch”, LOL. He waiting while she packed and left, but unfortunately forgot one thing…her key to the apartment. He didn’t realize she’s a psycho and would do such a thing. He should have learned his lesson from Jan Spears (right on writers!!) Bo said Shawn’s a lot like his mom, a big heart wanting to see the best in people. Bo thinks Belle loves him and will understand. Shawn asks why he could be such an idiot and Bo hugs him saying that’s his son he’s insulting..aww..and sticks the candy cane in his mouth, LOL. Cute scene!

The landlord reviewed his policy and the damages will be covered, so he tells Shawn all he has to do is pay the deductible and no law suit and leaves. Hope tells Shawn the landlord also was firm on Shawn’s moving out and asks if he wants to ask EJ for an advance to find a new place. Shawn tells them he quit. Bo snickers a good mechanic is hard to find, but Shawn tells him what he was really doing as Bo jokingly acts surprised at the news. Hope offers Shawn to move home. Shawn hesitates and Bo apologizes for how he’s been around Shawn and not praising him when he should have. Shawn says it wasn’t very often and accepts blame for his part of the fallen relationship. Hope steps in and says it’s been a hard year since Zack’s accident on all of them and the only way they’re going to get through it is together. Bo walks up behind Hope and sandwiches her between them..saying they’d love for him to come home and be with his family, especially for the holidays. Shawn agrees and they all smile and hug. (love it)

ITALY
Marlena and John roam a hospital corridor and ask a nurse for Stephano Dimera. She points down the hallway. Marlena has flashbacks of being in the room they’re directed to and stops John. She tells John about the nightmare she had after being rescued by Smokey Robinson and finding John stabbed in the chest, saying this was the same corridor and door in that nightmare. She doesn’t want John to go into that room, fearing her dream will become true. John disagrees and said he won’t go back to Salem without answers. Marlena realizes he’s dead set on going in the room (which says DIMERA in bold letters on the glass, LOL..some hospital!) and asks John once he checks out the room if they can go home to Salem and make love for 40 years. An offer too good to refuse, he agrees and she walks away. Rico rounds the corner just as John’s about to step inside, pointing a gun at John. Marlena quietly observes from the next corridor, trying to figure out what to do (uh, remember the gun in your purse?) John tells Rico he’s not armed and didn’t come to hurt the old man, just talk to him. He pulls the ring out of his pocket which alarms Rico. He slams John against the wall and jabs his gun in John’s neck saying he warned him and now will kill him and no one is here to help him now. Marlena finally speaks up and we see her pointing the gun at Rico’s head (using her other arm as a brace), warning him what will happen if he doesn’t drop the gun. John tells Rico he was safer with the dry cleaning, LOL. Rico says he was ordered to prevent anyone from entering the old man’s room. Marlena suggests that Rico go in and tell “the old man” that Marlena is here to see him, saying if he doesn’t comply, the armoire will look like a palace to him if Stefano learns Marlena was there and he didn’t let her come in. Rico goes into the room and John cautiously removes the gun from Marlena’s hand, saying to remind him never to play poker with her. Unconcerned someone else might be lurking nearby, the two embrace as he thanks her for saving him. She tells him she had thought about calling the police, but figured they were on Stefano’s payroll and remembered a bad boy gave her a gun. He points out he’s glad he did so. Kiss kiss.. Rico returns saying the old man will see her, but not him and no guns. John says no way, but Marlena assures him she’ll be okay as Rico returns inside the room. John warns Marlena, but she promises to scream her brains out if she needs him. This is their only chance to get the evidence against EJ and Patrick. Rico and the goon step out of the room and Marlena steps inside. Rico lights a cigar and blows smoke in John’s face as he says “if he moves, he’s dead” and walks away. The goon raises his gun as we see Marlena stare at the bed as we only see a hairy, large man’s hand (wearing Stefano’s ring), waving for her to come closer. She does so nervously as the previews roll…

SHAWN TO BELLE: I don’t mean to scare you, but I think Philip and Victor are in this together. I think they’re trying to get Claire away from us.

MARLENA TO STEFANO: What do you want from me Stefano? He takes her hand and grasps it as we see his ring.

SAMI TO LUCAS: I think he’s connected to the Dimeras.
LUCAS: We have got to get you away from here before you get yourself killed.

RICO TO EJ: Your orders are to kill John Black and leave Salem forever.

Summary: Max and Mimi are missing as Abby blames herself…Sami is determined to prove herself to Lucas at her new job, even when EJ asks her to go out of town with him…Bo finds out about the price Hope is to pay to Patrick…Shawn dumps Willow, and she doesn’t take it to well, to say the least.

At the Garage…Abby has gone back and noticed that all the lights are off. Coupled with the mysterious van earlier, she is frightened and has called Nick. Nick meets her there and goes to check the fuse box. He fixes it and they head inside, but she has a bad feeling that something is wrong. She turns on the lights and the place is completely destroyed, with things strewn everywhere. Later, Roman and the cops are there questioning Abby about the van. She can’t help with the make/model or license plate. Roman asks her about customers or anything else that may have happened earlier. She tells him about Max and Mimi searching for Philip. Roman asks if Max mentioned anything about Victor at all and she says no. A cop reports to Roman that he has called Bonnie and they have checked around and no one has seen or heard from either of them. Abby fears they have been kidnapped. Shawn Sr. arrives as Roman goes to tell him what he knows, which is actually nothing. He tells him to go home and he will let them know as soon as they hear something. Abby tells Nick that she and Max had an argument earlier and she ran out. She goes on to explain that she was upset because Max admitted he liked Mimi…meaning he is NOT interested in her…as she cries on Nick’s shoulder and says that Max only sees her as a little kid with a crush. She blames herself for this happening and thinks it wouldn’t have if she hadn’t left. But Nick tells her that maybe she would just be missing now as well. But Nick tries to reassure her, telling her that the cops will find them and then she will be Max’s hero. She finally calms down and thanks him for helping her as he convinces her that they should go home.

At Mythic…Sami is all excited about her new job but Lucas is not so thrilled, saying he doesn’t trust EJ at all. Sami asks if he is jealous as Lucas complains that they are not sleeping together. EJ comes in, telling Sami that he needs her to go with him to Talladega, Alabama for a sales conference where they are going to be vying for race team sponsors. Sami tries to get out of it, but he insists. Lucas uses the old “I told you so” routine saying that EJ will give her a few compliments, a few drinks and they will end up in bed together. But EJ says he doesn’t want to argue with Lucas…Sami chose to work there and tells Lucas to stop whining. He says this is a business trip, but Lucas reminds Sami that EJ tried to rape her once. EJ says if Lucas doesn’t trust him, then why doesn’t he just come along…and the trip is on him. Lucas jumps at the offer, but Sami says no…Lucas works for the competition. EJ says they can decide and leaves, saying he has to meet a friend…he will send a limo for them. After he leaves, Sami says no, Lucas is NOT going. Lucas wants a reason why not, but Sami wants to stand on her own 2 feet and prove herself. She asks if his comment earlier about her is what he really thinks about her. He tries to explain that he has been cheated on before (with Nicole and Carrie) and this mistrust issue isn’t about Sami…it’s about EJ. Lucas tells her what Kate told him about EJ saying Sami was going to have his baby but Sami thinks that Kate just made it up to cause trouble. Lucas asks what would she do if it were the other way around and some woman was chasing him to have his baby. Sami says she would destroy the bitch (lol). She agrees, he is right…if it WERE the other way around, she would be going along and stuck to his side. BUT…she asks him to be a bigger person than she would be…PLEASE trust her…she can prove she is worthy of his trust. Finally, Lucas tells her to go and she hugs him, saying this is a big step for their relationship and they kiss. Excitedly, she says she has to pack and has a 1000 things to do and rushes home. After she is gone, Lucas calls Victor and asks him if he can take a few days off.

At Shawn’s Apartment…Willow is decorating what looks like Charlie Brown’s little Christmas tree when Shawn comes in. She explains she saw it at a 2nd hand store and couldn’t resist it. As she goes to put the star on top, he stops her, telling her he can’t do this anymore…they are done (wow, sensitive guy, huh?) She begins crying, saying she knew this was coming. He tries to explain this wasn’t meant to be forever, but she cries what is she supposed to do now? This WAS a big deal to her and she gets angry, informing him she has the RIGHT to be angry. He admits that he is a jerk as she rants about him and Belle, saying that Belle is like a sweet little apple but is just rotten inside and that Belle will destroy him. She says he has some idiotic fairy tale image of him, Belle and Claire living happily ever after, but he is only digging himself a hole and someday the hole will be so deep, he won’t be able to breathe. She says Belle is not for him…he needs to live on the edge…fast cars…fast women (present company included). He tells her that when he met her, he was on the rebound…he is sorry, but it is Belle that he wants. She explodes and tells him to just go on…but don’t come crawling back to her…as she goes into the bedroom, slamming the door behind her.

At Chez Rouge…EJ arrives, and the friend he was to meet is Shawn, who is waiting on him. EJ has a package for him to deliver to Patrick, and whips out a roll of money, but Shawn tells him that he can’t work for him anymore and hands the money back. Shawn tells him he is grateful for helping him but he will find another job, it is time to move on. He says he isn’t comfortable getting this much money for being a messenger…when he doesn’t even know what he is involved in. He says his dad warned him to be careful and he just can’t take the chance. EJ belittles him for being told what to and not to do by his “daddy”. Shawn explains that when EJ hired him, he thought it was to be a mechanic, but truth is that he cannot stand being involved with Patrick Lockhart…he hates the guy. EJ asks him just what does he think he is delivering?...as he opens the envelope and shows him business papers. But Shawn says he will probably regret this, but now, he doesn’t want to work for him anymore. He goes to leave and EJ says he is weak…just like his father. Before Shawn leaves, EJ reminds him that everything he did for him is CONFIDENTIAL…and the money he was paid bought his silence. Shawn tells him if he finds out that his dad is right and there is shady business going on…he will find out just HOW weak he is…and then leaves.

At the Brady House…Bo is in the kitchen getting them something to drink and as he goes through the living room, knocks Hope’s purse over and the itinerary falls out. He picks it up, reading it as she calls out to him. She comes down and sees him reading it and says “Oh God”. Bo is really upset about it as she explains she is only doing it to get Patrick to drop the charges against Bo. Bo asks what is he supposed to do about this and she insists that she can handle Patrick…and reminds him that she is a trained cop. She even says that if she gives Patrick enough grief, she thinks he will call the whole thing off, but Bo fears for her safety if she makes Patrick angry…or worse yet, if he gets her out of the country. She says IF they even go, she will be back before he knows it and then it will all be over. She begs Bo to let her handle it. But Bo says he can’t just sit back and do nothing. She insists and then starts kissing him. Finally he gives in, under one condition…if she feels something isn’t right, she is to let him know immediately. There is a banging at the door as Bo goes to answer it and finds Willow, who barges in, insisting to talk to Hope. She marches over to her and tells her that Shawn just dumped her and what is Hope going to do about it? She says she knows that Bo and Hope don’t like her, but she thought Shawn was different. But, she says he has made some dumb promise to Belle and now he has dumped her because of it. They tell her that Shawn is a grown man and they are not getting involved in his personal business, but she says that is a lie…they are all OVER his business. Bo tells her they are not discussing family business with her, but Hope asks him to let her talk to Willow alone. Willow tells Hope that she loves Shawn. Hope tells her she is sorry that she got hurt, but she knew all along that Shawn and Belle share a child together. Willow says “so what?...you are pregnant and I don’t see you rushing to be with the father”. OUCH…that hits a nerve with Hope, who says she sees that Willow has been doing her research. She says no, it’s just that she and Shawn share everything. Willow says that Belle is NO GOOD for Shawn as she throws her under the bus. Hope stops her, saying that Belle is like a member of the family and will not listen to her talk that way about Belle. Willow says she doesn’t want to talk about Belle anyway. So Hope asks her WHAT DO YOU WANT? Willow tells her she wants them to tell Shawn to live his life for himself and to be happy…and if she (Willow) makes him happy to go for it. Hope tells her that this conversation is over and she is not going to interfere with Shawn’s life. She opens the door and tells her goodnight. Furious, Willow says that Shawn will be sorry he treated her this way…and so will they as she storms out. After she leaves, Bo thinks maybe they should call and give Shawn a heads up, but Hope says no…let him handle it himself. They realize that it’s late, so they decide to head to bed…but not necessarily to sleep ;-)

Back at Shawn’s Apartment…Willow returns and cries over her little Christmas tree. She puts the star on top and then in a fit of rage, destroys the tree and starts tossing things around the room. She says you want to end it, Shawn…ok, then let’s end it! She grabs a pile of her things and throws them on the floor. She goes over to the cabinet and takes out a bottle of liquor and for good measure takes a swig, then pours the rest of it on the pile of things. She takes out a pack of matches and lights one and tosses it on the pile. Shawn is getting off the elevator and sees smoke coming from under his door. He rushes to the door, but can only get the door open a crack (she has the safety latch on). He frantically calls “Willow…can you hear me?...are you in there?...” as the previews show…

Bo (to Hope): There’s a part of me…I just feel like a failure…

Marlena (to John): No…you are not going in there…John, it’s not me…it’s YOU they want…We’ve got to go before it’s too late…

Willow (to Shawn): You wanted a home for your precious daughter…well, not it’s gone…so DEAL WITH IT…

EJ (to Sami): Why don’t we go up to my suite…get a bottle of champagne and celebrate your deal as the new face of Mythic, just the two of us…what do you say? (as Sami stares at him)…

Victor explains his plan to Kate, Max tells Roman what he & Mimi were up to, and he in turn calls in Bo, Patrick confronts Bonnie about his missing money, and Hope decides not to take things so slow with Bo.

Hope is napping on the sofa, with Bo watching her and stroking her hair. She awakens and they talk of how both have missed this, being close. They kiss, which surprises Bo, but Hope tells him that taking things slowly is still in place. They talk a bit about Patrick. Hope goes upstairs as Bo gets a phone call from Roman. When she returns, carrying a box, Bo is gone, having left a note that he went to meet Roman and will be back soon. Cue the doorbell, and there is Patrick, telling Hope he has the tickets for their trip, itinerary, etc. She is not happy to note the tickets are to CabaSanLucas, and tells him she only promised to go to Chicago. He claims it is winter and it is cold in Chicago, and talks of beaches, sand, sun, etc. She wonders why he is so insistent on this trip, but he claims only wanting to have her get away, stress free. She tells him that she agreed, but she will not sleep with him, that they will definitely have separate rooms, and again maintains that though she promised to go, it is a business deal, nothing else. Patrick tells her that she WILL change her mind about him eventually, and leaves.
A bit later, Bo returns, sees the box which evidently contains some clothes to be donated, and yells up to Hope that he will take the box out for her. Down the stairs she comes, in a negligee, telling Bo she has something else in mind for him. They kiss, and holding hands, go upstairs

Patrick confronts Bonnie, wanting all his money back, which Bonnie hotly denies taking. He knows EJ gave her money for him, but Bonnie asks how he could believe him over his mother, and talks about giving birth and how hard cause he was breech (& is that not typical mother Bonnie, LOLOL). Mimi comes in, wanting to know what is going on. Patrick tells her that Mom took his money again, and threatens to call the cops. Bonnie does her song and dance routine about accusing innocent Mommy, yada, yada. Mimi goes to Bonnie’s purse, pulling out a wad of $100 dollar bills and tosses it to Patrick. Now Bonnie outs Mimi taking some of it before, and Mimi confesses needing some cash in order to help out a friend, promising to pay it back. (Bonnie is such a piece of work!) Patrick says it is not O.K. and leaves. Now Mimi questions Bonnie about where all her money is going. Alice’s is successful, is packed all the time, but Bonnie claims expenses, etc. She goes for another beer, and Mimi rummages thru a drawer, finds a ledger and looks thru it. Bonnie returns, has a fit. Mimi wants to know what is going on, she can see Bonnie took a 2nd mortgage, is not paying her bills, and is debt up to her eyeballs. She warns her she is going to lose the restaurant. Bonnie claims she is investing it, a sure thing, with a payoff in about 3 months (ahhh, so that is when THAT baby is due….lol) and that she will be rolling in dough, with a mansion on the hill, Lockhart Manor.

Max arrives to meet Roman, telling him all about the search for Philip. He recounts the trip to Atlanta, the close mouthed staff at the hospital there, how Philip was not there. He explains about telling Victor, how Victor told him & Mimi that the CIA is hiding Philip. He then tells Roman he wanted him to know what they had been up to, in case anything happened to them (ooops, flags go up, this means something will, of course, lol). He talks of how everyone knows Victor can play dirty, and also lets him know how much more time Victor has been spending with Claire. That Victor still thinks of Claire as Philip’s daughter. Max leaves.
Later, Bo has arrived, and Roman fills Bo in. They talks about Victor, Claire, Philip, and why Nancy refused the reward money, but had a load of cash she was tossing around. Bo thinks that it will lead to EJ Wells, but Roman points out that perhaps they should look towards Victor. They toss ideas back and forth, with Roman telling Bo that he has to stay out of it, he is off the force, and Abe warned him. Bo retaliates with the fact that Claire is his grandchild, and that Abe only warned him to stay away from the Wells investigation. He can poke around this one.
Later, we see Bonnie having dinner with Lauren. Actually, Lauren is enjoying her lobster, Bonnie seems to be playing with a slice of bread. Lauren thinks Bonnie should try the lobster, too, but she cannot afford it, cannot even afford Lauren’s. Bonnie tells Lauren how she is tapped out, she has taken out a 2nd mortgage, is in debt over her head and cannot raise another nickel. She asks Lauren to give her a break, she has given her so much already. Lauren threatens to find money elsewhere. Bonnie lets her know that when the baby is born, there is a gravy train waiting, and both of them will be rolling in dough, if she will just cut Bonnie a break now. Lauren finally agrees, then asks her benefactor to now order her some crab legs.

Victor tells a teary eyed Kate his plan to restore Philip’s face. He explains how Philip’s face is injured so badly, but Kate cannot believe he kept her in the dark about their son. She wants round the clock care for him, and begins to call the hospital. Philip taps for her attention, and shakes his head NO. Victor takes her to another room, and tells her of his master plan….the doctor from Montreal, the plan to fly Philip to the clinic there in the Titan jet, which is standing by. He then tells her how Philip is a changed man, how he got a letter from Philip when he was in the hospital, talking about Claire. He tells her that he has filed a custody suit on behalf of Philip, for full parental rights to Claire. He tells her Belle & Shawn will lose all rights to Claire. Now they have words. Victor tells her that if she had let Philip know from the beginning that he was not Claire’s bio father, this situation might not have developed. He talks of her always interfering in her children’s lives, and look at the result. She has driven Austin out of town, Lucas into Sami’s arms, Billie is miserable, and Philip reenlisted and is badly injured. He says Belle was Philip’s devoted wife, and Shawn his best friend, and that they will pay, asking her to be on Philip’s side and keep her mouth shut. She says she was always on Philip’s side. They argue some, as they talk about Max & Mimi. Victor wants them on ice for a bit, and needs her help, talking of them being a family again, Philip, Victor & Kate. (I thought only the kids had that mantra….Puleeze!) She calls Max, telling him to get Mimi and she will meet them at the garage and tell them what she found out. It is unbelievable.
Now she goes to spend some time with Philip. Later, Victor comes is as both are listening to music. Victor holds out his hand to her, she is hesitant, but finally takes it, and they dance, as Philip looks on.

Kate gets wise to Victor, Patch and Kayla enjoy a soak to celebrate their reunion; John and Marlena are busy in the bedroom while Shawn vows to make Belle proud.

PATCH AND KAYLA
We find Patch and Kayla soaking and snuggling in their room’s bathtub. She tells him how lonely it’s been all these years without him and she hasn’t been with anyone else since she lost him…saying he was worth the wait. Staring at her, he can’t believe he forgot her eyes or her soft skin. When he said he meant he forgot everything, he meant his past before he disappeared from that coffin. He can’t account for the past 8 years. She suggests he seek professional help, but he doesn’t think that will help. He just knows someone went to a lot of trouble on his account and he can’t put her in danger again. She might have to be strong enough to let him go again if it comes to that. He asks what if he’s married and has a gaggle of little kiddies somewhere? She smiles saying she’ll have to kill him then. He’s afraid of losing her again and she pulls his face towards her saying he never will lose her again and they kiss.

Later Kayla leaves the bathroom in her robe and hugs Steve from the back, telling him about all those lonely nights while he was gone. He promises no more lonely nights for her, he’s back. They talk rationally about his situation with Billie. She knows that Billie is in love with him and what are his feelings for Billie. He said Nick might have had them, but he and Nick are two different people. She’s the only one for him. When he was in “limbo land” he liked to keep things casual and in the moment, just like Billie. He’s honest and tells her he had told Billie he was going to end things with her and would be hers when he returned to Salem. Kayla levels that Billie’s not her favorite person after all that she did to Bo and Hope, but knows Billie will be devastated. Steve doesn’t think so, saying he suspects Billie’s know this is what would happen all along. She asks if he’s sure she’s the one he wants. He puts on his tank top and holds her shoulders saying..he’s her “Patch man”, her husband. You’re it for me sweetness and always have been. I’m home”…and they kiss. YES YES YES!!!!! He peels off his shirt and says they’re back where they started.

MYSTIC OFFICES
Mimi and Max visit Kate. At first she’s too busy to talk until they mention the magic word…Philip. They brief her on what they’ve found and when she goes to call Victor for his help, they share their suspicions that Victor knows exactly what’s going on with Philip. They need her help to find out where Victor’s plane went to that day. Kate calls and Lucas tells her that Victor’s having an early dinner at Chez Rouge with Belle and Shawn. They warn her not to let on what they’ve told her and Kate states she’ll be more subtle than that, this is her son they’re talking about and she’s not going to let him down.

CHEZ ROUGE
Belle and Shawn are with Victor at a table as he holds Claire. They thank him for his help in getting Claire back, still not understanding why she was taken for just a couple of hours. They tell him about how they’re reuniting for Claire’s sake and decided to cut down on his visiting time with Claire so as not to confuse her during the transition. Victor is not happy about being asked to curtail his visits, even temporarily, with Claire saying that she and him have bonded. Shawn and Belle explain they need some time with Claire, but Victor rants about Philip being the only father she’s known for the first year in her life and where’s their respect for him? Victor mentions how it was too hard for Philip to stay and watch another man raise his child and Shawn reminds him that was what he had to do, and Victor knew all along it was HIS child, not Philips to boot. They reiterate about bonding as a family, saying Claire needs stability and structure. Victor points out that Shawn should stop looking through the Brady Pub Glass and that Belle’s still married to Philip and “squatting” at her parents home and Shawn’s living with a prostitute and working for a man being investigated by the police (ouch)
Kate enters and tells the hostess she wanted to see Victor, but he looks busy. She asks to put a note in his overcoat and when she slips the note in it, takes his house keys out. Staring at Victor (who doesn’t see her as he’s so preoccupied with Belle and Shawn), she mumbles to herself she’ll find out what he’s hiding from her.

Victor refuses to be pushed out of Claire’s life. He tells them to grow up and Claire stands to inherit a legacy from him. He’s already set aside a quarter of a million dollar trust fund for her and money buys everything..can they do that for her? Belle thanks him as Shawn snarls saying they can as college is along ways away (gee, being Belle’s John Black’s child too means she stands to inherit his “legacy” too Vic). Shawn tells him that they’re Claire’s parents, he’s only her great grandfather and they’re the ones to determine what’s best for her. Victor tells them they’ll see about that. Shawn tells Victor they’re done here and asks Belle for a minute alone with Victor. She takes Claire to look at the tree as Victor asks what Shawn has to do for his imitation of the man…doe he plan to drive another car through his house or maybe a knife to his heart? Shawn says he doesn’t want to kill Victor, just be Claire’s father. Victor demands he’ll never be the father that Philip was and Shawn reminds him he was partly responsible for that by not telling him the truth. Claire has Philip’s name and he’s still the better father. Shawn tells Victor that Claire will forget him by the time she gets to the parking lot, but Victor vows that Shawn will remember this night for a long time. Shawn says Victor’s overreacting for a simple request for some space from Claire and that confirms his suspicions that Victor’s a bad influence on her. Victor throws money on the table and notices his keys are missing as he puts on his coat. The hostess explains they must have fallen out when Miss Roberts left a note in his coat pocket. The note says I KNOW ABOUT PHILIP. KATE Victor thanks the hostess and leaves. Shawn promises Belle to get his life together and deal with Willow and EJ and turn his life around so she and Claire will be proud of him.

MAX’S GARAGE
Mimi and Max talk about the baby she and Philip were expecting, saying it’ll be better off without her. She asks about if he was a father and he said he wouldn’t let his daughter race cars. Mimi knows he would be a good father. She thanks him for standing by her, even if it costs Shawn’s friendship, saying he’s a keeper. They start to kiss and her cellphone rings. She sees it’s Bonnie calling and she should call her. She asks him (with tears in her eyes) to call her if he hears about Philip and leaves

KIRIAKIS MANSION
Kate explores the hallways and hears music playing. She sees light under a door and softly calls out Philip’s name. Victor must have had the limo driver break every speed limit as he’s calling Kate’s name, saying he knows she’s there. She calls out to Philip. She tells Victor she knows Philip is in there and he opens the door with his remote (not on the key chain apparently) and she walks in and kneels next to Philip’s wheelchair. She tells her beautiful boy never to leave her again as Victor watches.

NORTHERN ITALY
Marlena and John snuggle in bed as she offers him a Euro for this thoughts, LOL. They talk about Stefano’s empty crypt and how they should be careful. We see Enrico, their wedding visitor, outside their room as he breaks in with knife in hand to stab anyone on the other side. He slithers into the room and goes to the bed (think Psycho folks) and starts stabbing at it. An alarm goes off as John rushes from the dark and secures Enrico, now with the knife in his hand at Enrico’s throat as Marlena watches nervously. John demands to know where Stefano is as Enrico says he’s just the hired hand. The police knock on the door (called by lady in next room complaining of noise in their room). John tells Marlena to get rid of them and she does so, saying there was just some rough Amore in their room as they’re on their honeymoon. The policeman needs to inspect the room and does so…at least to see John in bed holding a glass of champagne as Marlena snuggles under the covers with him. The policeman sweeps the room with a glance and leaves. John gets up and opens the closet door to show Marlena that Enrico is gagged and in the closet until maid service finds him in the morning (hope he didn’t drink a lot of vino before coming to their room, LOL) John refuses to let her be a part of finding Stefano. Marlena demands to be part of it, pleading as well with tears in her eyes. She can’t sit around a hotel room waiting to see if he comes back alive or dead. He finally agrees to let her go with him. They’ll go together. She thanks him as he pulls a small gun out of the drawer and asks her to put it in her purse. She stares at it and he understands if she has second thoughts. She asks what she needs to know about it and he explains about the safety, etc. She puts it in her purse as he says they need to travel a couple hundred miles. He tells her she’s quite a woman and they kiss.

They leave the room (Marlena’s carrying her bridal bouquet) as she asks if John’s sure Enrico can breathe in there. He doesn’t give a damn and asks if she’s got everything. She shows her bridal bouquet and her bag (purse..he’s carrying all the suitcases, haha) and says she’s good to go. She knows he’ll protect her and therefore protect himself now. He asks if people pay for that kind of logic from her and she laughs saying she cures people all day long. He reminds her Stefano is not a game man, he’s the real thing. Marlena vows to be glued to his side as they go down the elevator kissing…

PATRICK to BONNIE and MIMI: Mom ripped me off again. If I don’t get my money back, I’m calling the cops.

VICTOR to KATE: I’ve filed a custody suit on Philip’s behalf and Shawn and Belle are going to lose any claim they’ve had to that little girl. Kate shakes her head disagreeing.

BO to ROMAN: Claire is my granddaughter and I’ve got to get to the bottom of this.

PATRICK to HOPE: Our trip is all set. Tickets and our itinerary (he hands to her)…first class all the way…

Summary: John and Marlena’s suspicions are confirmed at the graveyard…Willow makes an ass of herself, which in turn drives Shawn to Belle…Steve and Kayla have a reunion of spirit and body…Bo and Hope decide to make things work for them (as she promises to stay away from Patrick, well, sort of)…and Billie seems to pick up on Nick’s feelings for Chelsa. (Big thumbs up performances for Mary Beth Evans and Steven Nichols).

In Italy…John and Marlena (both dressed appropriately in black) break into the DiMera family tomb, or crypt, or whatever you call it. Once inside, John makes haste prying the lid off of Stefano’s crypt, saying let’s hope the old man is there. They hear a noise and hide behind it as someone is shining a light inside. It’s only a guard who reports that it is quiet as a tomb there and leaves. They go back to work as John gets the lid off. He looks inside and says it’s empty and Marlena says he is NOT dead…and he has EJ reporting to him. John says the Phoenix has risen from the ashes yet again. Marlena wants to put the lid back on, but John says no, he is going to leave it just as it is so Stefano will know that he has been there. She asks what is he doing as he takes it one step further and goes over and writes “JOHN BLACK WAS HERE” on the wall. Marlena gasps, saying he may as well put a target on his back and John says that once and for all, there is going to be a showdown. Marlena asks if that is really what he wants and he says that is the direction they have been heading ever since they got here. They leave and as they sneak out, we see Rico hiding in the bushes. He makes a call to EJ and tells him that things didn’t go as planned…what now? He laughs an evil laugh and says that it looks like Mr. & Mrs. Black won’t have that dream honeymoon after all. Later, they are back in their room as John cracks open the champagne and toasts his beautiful wife, who he says “looks sexy as hell in black”. He takes her in his arms as they kiss and fall to the bed. Later, when it comes back to them, they are in bed kissing and making love as we see Rico in the hallway, listening at the door.

At Shawn’s Apartment…Willow informs Belle that she lives there now (as she really rubs it in). She claims she is just helping Shawn be honest with Belle, saying that she and Shawn share everything…including the bed. Belle is speechless as she grabs her things and rushes out the door. Shawn is furious with Willow and rants at her. Willow says Belle had to know the truth, she thought that’s what Shawn wanted. Then she says she knows the truth…Shawn wants Belle back and HER out. His silence speaks volumes as she cries how she has never had a relationship before, until him…and how can she now walk away…from her angel? She apologizes for her earlier behavior, saying she thought she was losing him to Belle and she panicked. She asks can they just start this day all over but Shawn tells her no and he goes to leave…he needs to be alone and think. A teary-eyed Willow tells him she will be waiting for him when he gets back.

At Chez Rouge…Abby and Nick are enjoying dinner (I think they said it was payment from Maggie for decorating), when Chelsea shows up, telling Nick that she needs him more than ever. This excites Nick, but she pulls out the picture of his boss, telling she needs him to help her find this guy. He almost chokes when she does this, saying he can’t help her. Billie walks up telling Chelsea to give up on this. Billie joins them as Chelsea talks about her new guy. Nick slips and calls him Lonely Splicer but the covers, saying that Stephanie told him his name. Billie tells them not to encourage her but Chelsea says that Billie is jealous. Chelsea asks Nick to take the photo and examine it for clues to help her find her “Dr. McDreamy”. Abby says no…they have to leave. Nick asks for the photo and in the process, Abby grabs his fork and he gets his desert all over him and Chelsea. As he and Abby leave, she asks what is he going to do and he says he will figure out what to do...he didn't finish Magna Cum Laude for nothing. After they are gone, Billie tells Chelsea she is just wasting her time…for Billie thinks she has already found the perfect guy for her…he is sweet, adorable and considerate. Chelsea asks WHO?...as Billie smiles. Then she laughs when she realizes that Billie is talking about Nick. She says her and the lab rat?...that will never happen…but Billie says she thinks maybe this time she got it right...as she smiles.

At the Brady House…Hope is playing with Claire as Bo comes downstairs with his duffel bag. He tells her he is moving out…he can’t live with someone who doesn’t trust him. She begs him not to go, telling him that he was right. She jumped to conclusions, but she knows he is innocent. She says she thought about it like she was a cop, put the evidence aside and went with her gut and she knows he could never beat someone like that, no matter how angry he was. He tells her she had every right to doubt him and as he looks at Zack’s picture, says it was all his fault and he should have never given Chelsea his keys that night. He asks what do we do now and she tells him to take his things back upstairs and please stay. Later, she gets off the phone and tells him that Roman called and hasn’t found any more about Nancy Everett. He goes on to explain that she is the one who took Claire and how he found her with a wad of money. He is sure that someone paid her off and thinks it was EJ. Hope warns him to just leave it alone, she suspects that EJ had something to do with Patrick’s beating and she doesn’t want to see Bo end up the same way. Belle returns crying as Hope hugs her asking what’s wrong and they sit. She wants Claire, but Hope tells her that Bo has her upstairs and they talk. She tells Hope that there is now way that she is going to allow Claire to spend time with Shawn and his live-in hooker. Hope asks her to reconsider – Claire needs her father, but yet, she does understand how Belle feels. Well, the doorbell rings and you guessed it…it’s Shawn. Hope leaves them alone to talk and goes upstairs. Shawn asks Belle to listen to what he has to say, but she says Willow already said it all. Shawn tells her he wasn’t trying to be a hero or anything, but he thinks that Willow sees him that way. Belle (sarcastically) says that is so noble of him. He says that Willow has seen both the good and the bad in him and there hasn’t been anyone that he has trusted…(as Belle finishes) since me? Upstairs, Bo is trying to get Claire to take a nap and sings to her as Hope walks up and watches and smiles. Shawn says that was not the way he wanted the truth to come out…and goes on to talk about how much he and Belle have shared over the years and all the great memories they have. She admits to him that she cried over him and Mimi and that she was too ashamed to let him know how she felt. She says that maybe she and Willow aren’t that different and maybe she shouldn’t have judged her. Then she asks the question of the day…does he love her? Hope joins Bo as he puts Claire down and they talk about how Zack loved that song as well. They hope they can work things out between them. Hope has a baby pain and Bo promises to love her baby and will protect HER…as well as her mommy. He warns Hope that Lockhart is dangerous and wants her to stay away from him. She asks how can she do that and keep him from getting angry and Bo tells her to just let him worry about that. Shawn tells Belle that yes, he does care about Willow, but NO, he isn’t in love with her…he KNOWS how love feels and this isn’t it. He says he can prove it to Belle…he is going to tell Willow that it is over and for her to move out. Belle tells him no, all that has nothing to do with the kind of father he can be…none of that will get in the way of her letting him spend time with Claire…she can work it out. But he says he still needs to end it with Willow because…he is in love with Belle. Hope promises Bo that she will do whatever is best for her family. She asks Bo if they have a chance and he tells her to just believe in him and the rest will take care of itself…all they need is faith in each other.

Steve and Kayla…are still sitting on the bathroom floor as he mumbles about his life…the past…and we see more flashes of them as he laughs, saying he remembers, sweetness…being with her…loving her. She asks if he is okay and he says yes, for the first time in a LONG time. They go to the bedroom as he is so excited, saying his head is full of people, places and memories. He talks about Stockholm, dressing up at Christmas and calling himself “Patchy Claus”, the New Year’s hayride (he even remembers the lavender soap scent she had). He is excited, telling her to ask him anything…he remembers it all. She cries saying that is all she wanted for him to remember, but now she doesn’t know if she can believe him…she didn’t think it possible. He swears he isn’t lying, but she says he did before. But, he says, that was to save her…this time it is for real. She says she can’t go there again and get her hopes up, only to be crushed again. He swears it’s real, but she refuses to believe him. He tries to convince her saying she never gave up on him…don’t do it now. She runs out of the room, crying. Later, she comes back in, with him following. She tells him to stop following her and he tells her to stop running from him. She gets weak and almost collapses and he catches her and holds her in his arms, telling her everything is going to be okay. She shivers as he gets a blanket for her and asks her if she wants him to call Lexie. He tells her he is so happy but she says she is scared…he can she be sure…she trusted him before and he was lying. He tells her, “look in to my eye…it’s ME…I am real, Sweetness!’ But she still isn’t sure. She says she isn’t strong enough but he says she is the strongest person he knows, look at all she has done with her life. She is scared but he tells her to look at him, as he signs “courage” to her and says come on, baby. Both are crying as he says it’s me baby and they kiss. He takes her in his arms as they sink to the bed and begin to undress each other as they kiss. They are lying on the bed, kissing as it fades to black and the previews show…

(Steve): I am going to always worry about losing you again…(Kayla): You are NEVER going to lose me…

Shawn: I am going to get my life together and make you proud of me…(Belle): The way you just handled Victor…I already am…

Mimi (to Max): You stood beside me even when it cost you Shawn’s friendship…you are definitely a keeper…

John: I know where Stefano is…(Marlena): Where do we find him?...(John): No…WE don’t do anything…you are out of this…

Chelsea tells everyone about the “lonely splicer”; EJ gets propositioned; Patrick visits Hope, Bo investigates and best of all, Steve’s memory is finally reawakened.

CHEZ ROUGE
Billie and child eat out once again (never see Billie working to earn the money to eat out so often, whatsupwiththat?). Chelsea notes the big smile on Billie’s face when she says goodbye to her caller (Steve) and guesses it was Billie’s favorite pirate. Now she’s encouraging her mother to go after who she wants (guessing she doesn’t want to lose her blog computer too). Chelsea knows this is important being she’s found her own true love (gag me). She shows Billie a picture of the lonely splicer (the doctor whose computer Nick was using), thinking he’s her new man. Later Billie signs the tab (ah, living on plastic) as she tries to tell her daughter not to expect anything from this. Chelsea is anxious to get home and prove her mother wrong about her new cyber love.

At another table we find Stephanie with Abby and Jake. She also shows the picture of Chelsea’s “lonely splicer” to Abby and Jake and steps away. Nick sees Willow walk through the restaurant, saying she’s hot..but Abby fills him in on who she is and he’d better watch his step once Chelsea learns he’s the lonely splicer. He admits taking the picture of his boss on his camera phone and sending it to Chelsea. Abby is shocked and Nick realizes the odds of Chelsea ever seeing his boss are very low. Oops…Stephanie returns later after just getting a call from Chelsea saying her mystery man is a doctor. Cue gulp from Nick and Abby. Willow walks by again and Nick goes to tell her what a hotty she is. She looks around to see Abby and Stephanie watching and tells Nick he’s a pathetic loser and for him and his friends to go to hell before walking away. He takes it good naturedly and rejoins the girls saying it’s a step up from geek (LOL, I like Nick). Stephanie leaves and he admits to Abby he’s playing the field so he wouldn’t be suspected as the lonely slicer. She says Chelsea is the one to confuse, not Stephanie.

LOCKHART PALACE
Bonnie guesses Bo didn’t give Patrick his new makeover. She tells him that Mimi told her what he’s doing and he suggests she keep his nose out of his business.

CHEZ ROUGE(?)
EJ tells Bo he came to get his apology for kidnapping his granddaughter. Bo says he didn’t apologize and EJ gives him the mug shot of the woman who returned Claire. Bo said the woman had no record, but EJ’s found she was in prison 10 years earlier. Bo wonders how a race car driver found that out when the Salem PD didn’t.

Later Bo walks into a bar and sees the woman offering to buy the bar a round of drinks. He smiles nicely to make conversation with her, asking her what line of work she’s in. She says “day care”, but he slaps her mug shot on the bar and asks if that’s so. She denies taking Claire for money, reminding him she didn’t ask for the reward money, but he grabs her hand with fist full of $100 bills and figures differently, demanding to know why she did it (uh, Bo..if memory serves, you’re not on the force right now?)

BRADY HOME
Hope and Belle (not letting Claire out of her arms) talk. Hope offers to watch Claire if Belle wants to take a hot shower and relax, but Belle declines. They talk about Shawn and Hope defends Willow a bit, saying she’s not a prostitute any more and working at Chez Rouge to try and turn her life around. Belle doesn’t care, she doesn’t want her daughter around Willow..and being Willow’s always with Shawn, difficult to let her have Claire spend time with him. Hope asks if she jealous of Willow and realizes she and Shawn are both just getting out of relationships.

REBEL WITHOUT A CLUE
Love Laney’s poster yesterday and had to use that title today, haha. We find Shawn berating himself for not being a good father, blaming himself for what happened to Claire. Willow of course tries to convince him otherwise. Shawn grabbed some of the Salem brain on the way home and realizing delivering packages for EJ for so much money might just be what his dad is proclaiming…a bad thing, and doesn’t want to go to jail and be away from his daughter. He’s got to come clean with Belle. Willow speculates, and he confirms, leveling with Belle about what his job is and who he’s living with. She tells him she’s going to take a shower (sure is a clean little thing, isn’t she?) and then they’ll go for a ride in his new car. After we see Willow strolling through Chez Rouge, Shawn answers the door shirtless (of course), but still wet from his shower (must have a great shower in that apartment!) asking loudly if they forgot something. Oops, it’s Belle. (If those pants hung any lower..this who would have to be on HBO, haha). Belle apologizes for how she’s treated him and says it’s not him…and he knows it’s Willow she’s upset about. He takes her coat (but doesn’t put a shirt on himself) as they sit down and talk. She tells him he’s always been her best friend and says she put up a wall when he married Mimi. She asks why he didn’t turn to her instead of a stranger, a prostitute no less. Willow has walked up and overhears through the open door. He tells Belle that Willow is changing her life and he’s helping her. She asks if he still is (now he’s got his tank top on..guess the blizzard hasn’t hit Salem yet as they’re still driving convertibles around). He wants to be honest with her about something else though. Willow walks in, saying hi to Belle and asking Shawn if he’s ready for their romantic drive, catching both Shawn and Belle off guard.

BACK TO THE BRADY HOME
Later Hope’s alone downstairs when Patrick comes to call (guess Claire’s taking a nap). He lets her know he’s been keeping an eye on her and asks when she’s going to follow through on her part of their deal. She defends Bo’s anger problem by saying he’s been through a lot lately. She will go to Chicago with him, but asks for his patience (wait any longer and you’ll be having that baby in Chicago too). He tells her he’s made the reservations and it’s in 2 weeks. She points out that it’s just before Christmas and this will be their first Christmas without Zack. Patrick points out he just wants to spend some time alone with her, is that too much to ask. She said no, if she was sure it was Bo that beat him up. She feels something’s not right and he wants to convince her she belongs with him, not Bo.

CHEATIN HEART
Bonnie’s playing pool when EJ joins her per her request. She tells him Patrick needs money to get out of town and wants EJ to replace the money stolen from her son. EJ asks what she has to negotiate with for it…and she asks him to step into her office to find out. EJ asks what Bonnie’s got to bring to the table for the amount of money she’s talking about. She tells him he’s a foreigner in their country and drowning for attention so to speak. She offers to be his life preserver and for him to grab on and she’ll keep him up as long as necessary. He asks Mrs. Lockhart if she’s trying to seduce him and she laughs, saying that takes too long and pulls him off his stool. After a Bonnie style kiss, he wipes his mouth and graciously refuses her offer, handing her a HUGE wad of bills saying her dedication to her son is wonderful, but his heart is spoken for and he will give her the money if she agrees to stay clear of him. She accepts, but tells him if his heart ever goes unspoken for, to let her know as she licks her palm and wipes his lips with it (eww).

OUTSIDE THE BRADY HOME
Patrick leaves and EJ is there waiting for him outside. He warns Patrick what will happen if his mother ever approaches him for any more money, it will be the last thing she ever does. (hmmm…there’s snow on the bushes and a few flakes even falling…yup, definitely tank top convertible driving weather, haha)


BACK AT THE REED/LOCKHART CASA…
Guess the Lockharts and Reeds take turns at home..as Billie is looking at Chelsea’s mystery man and his cyber correspondence with her. Chelsea claims to be able to spend her life with this man and figures he’s a doctor by the stethoscope around his neck. She remembers someone who could help track him down and leaves.

STEVE AND KAYLA
As Steve slips into their hotel bathroom to make a call to Billie (saying he’s going to tell Kayla the truth about losing his memory), Lexie takes Kayla’s blood pressure (120/85). Kayla admits being nervous, scared to death in fact, about finding out if Steve truly remembers. Lexie leaves and Kayla moseys up to Steve, but he steps away and says he can’t lie to her any more. He doesn’t remember “them” or loving her. He told her he did what he did to keep her alive, but only got bits and pieces of his memory back. She says she already knew and was afraid it was true. He stops her from going to see Lexie. He sits down to chat with her and tells her what a strong woman she is and so good with Stephanie. He admires her and says she’s a special person. He never wanted to hurt her (as she looks devastated). Kayla tells him she wants to remain friends and he of course, agrees. He goes to hug her and she pulls back, stepping into the bathroom to collect herself before breaking down.

Later, we see Steve had fallen asleep on the bed and there’s a thunder and lightning storm outside. He dreams of a time in the past during a similar storm when he’s with Kayla and flashbacks of him and Kayla in their younger days flash through his mind of them kissing, him in the hospital, etc. (none were significant to me, but Barb might elaborate if she remembers them better). He’s woken up by housekeeping knocking on the door, asking if anyone’s there and looking afraid, he goes to knock on the bathroom door asking Kayla to open up. She’s just finishing dressing and opens the door to him. He’s all nervous about Kiriakis is after the disk and after them..urging her to be quiet. Kayla tells him that was in the past and no one is after them. More memories flash through his brain as Kayla repeats no one is after them, that was in the past. He remembers setting off the sprinklers and wants to save her. He gets dizzy on the chair as he tries to light the sprinkler as all the memories flash through his head again..of him with Kayla, having Stephanie, holding Stephanie, putting Kayla’s engagement ring on her finger, etc…and she helps him off the chair as he weakly sits on the floor. She tells him he’s stuck in the past as more memories flash though and he says I REMEMBER, I REMEMBER…calling her sweetness as he strokes her face and says I remember everything… and she cries in happiness…as the previews roll….

BO TO HOPE: I told you what happened and you don’t believe me after all these years, you know what…I’m outta here…
HOPE: Bo, no wait please…
BO: I can’t live in a house with someone who doesn’t trust me…as Hope looks shocked…

WILLOW: Shawn and I share everything, including a bed. Tell her! As we see Shawn’s face and Belle’s surprised one.

KAYLA TO STEVE: I can’t let you get my hopes up again.
STEVE: Look at me…I’m back…as Kayla cries.

Summary: John and Marlena get hitched in Italy, then go on a DiMera hunt…Max and Mimi are given a warning to stay out of the search for Philip…Chelsea is in love with her dream man, one she hasn’t met (or doesn’t think she has).


On the Plane…Max and Mimi talk about striking out on finding Philip in Atlanta. They find it odd that they found out so much but yet Victor claimed he knew nothing. They think that Victor was lying and that he knows more than he let on. He suggests that they pay him a visit when they get home, but Mimi thinks that may not be a good idea…it could be dangerous IF he does know something. Max thinks they can convince him that they are just concerned friends and tells Mimi not to worry, he can handle it.

At the Kiriakis Mansion…Victor is on the phone with “Captain Shepherd” who informs him that Max and Mimi were there at the hospital in Atlanta nosing around. Victor tells him he will handle them. Philip rolls in as Victor tells him that was Captain Shepherd and Philip scribbles a note asking what about Max and Mimi. Victor says that’s a good question. Victor is concerned about them playing detective and tells Philip not to worry, he will stop them…but not to worry…he won’t hurt them. Later, Max and Mimi arrive and insist on coming in. They tell him what they learned and he tells them that he already knew about Philip being injured. Mimi asks why he lied to Belle and Kate, so Victor concocts a lie, telling them that it is for everyone’s safety. Philip was involved in a covert mission and is now in a CIA safe house being debriefed. He only hopes that he is being well-treated and will be home soon. He urges them to keep quiet about it…he would hate for anything to happen to them because he shared the info. Max asks if that is a threat and Victor says no, just being cautious…please be discrete. Victor ushers them out and says he will let them know if he finds anything out. Outside, Max and Mimi both suspect that he was lying…they decide to just keep digging. Victor goes back to Philip (who was listening to their conversation) and tells him he hopes they keep they noses out of it…he wouldn’t want to have to take further action.

Chelsea (calling herself the Angry Angel…to view her profile on MySpace.com...click HERE) adds more to her video blog, talking about her situation, her parents and her dad’s wife pregnant with another man’s child, etc. (okay, call in whining). She talks about being miserable and asks for help. Nick, who is on her site, says he will help her and knows exactly what to say as he types away. Chelsea begs someone to talk to her as Nick responds, saying he is the answer to all her dreams (calling himself “lonely splicer”). Chelsea just hope that she doesn’t hear from “horney in Milwaukee” again (LOL…what do you expect?) He messages that he knows how she feels…all alone and she immediately connects with her. He writes about being hurt, let down and abandoned. She asks who this is and how does he know her so well.

At Chez Rouge…Abby and Stephanie are decorating for Christmas (Chelsea was supposed to help them but ditched). They talk about Stephanie having a good Christmas and Abby missing hers…but they email and call all the time. Stephanie asks about Max and Abby tells her that he went out of town with Mimi. Stephanie begins to bash him, but Abby takes up for him. Stephanie picks up on the fact that Abby has a crush on him and calls her on it. But Abby swears they are just friends. They talk about finding the perfect guy…just as Chelsea comes rushing in, saying SHE has found him and is in love. She explains as both the other girls make fun of her and say she is nuts. But Chelsea goes on and on about her mystery guy as Stephanie rolls her eyes. Abby reads some of the IM’s as Stephanie chuckles about the name “Angry Angel”. Abby reads on as Chelsea says she MUST find this guy…they are soulmates. But Stephanie thinks it could be dangerous…he could be a serial killer or something. But Chelsea won’t listen, saying she can tell he is sweet and looking for love. Stephanie points out that she doesn’t even know what he looks like and they say he could be a troll…then Chelsea would change her mind. But Chelsea says he is beautiful inside…she can tell. We see Nick at the computer sending a message, when his boss walks in and tells him he has worked long enough…go out and have some fun. He says that is what he intends to do. Stephanie and Abby are still trying to dissuade Chelsea but she won’t listen…she thinks this is the guy she is looking for. Abby points out that it could be a 50 year old perv that just want to get her in bed, but Chelsea gets mad and says that they just don’t understand. Nick shows up to help, as Chelsea just rolls her eyes at his mere presence. He holds the mistle toe over her as she informs him that her policy is no free kisses for nerds. Abby tells her to give Nick a break and stop picking on him. They talk about her leaving the Brady Thanksgiving dinner early and Nick says it was because she wasn’t getting enough attention. Stephanie tells him that Chelsea has a new boyfriend she met online and Chelsea explains that he is interesting. She gets angry and tells them that she is going home to check to see if she has any more IM’s, so Stephanie decides to tag along. After they leave, Abby apologizes to Nick for Chelsea’s rudeness, but he doesn’t care. He tells her he is looking for Max…he wants to buy a car…to impress a girl. Abby knows he is talking about Chelsea and tells him he is wasting his time and money. Nick asks if she can keep a secret and confides in her that he is “lonely splicer”. She tells him it will never work and he tells her that Chelsea will never know it’s him until it’s too late. Abby says she will want a picture and he tells her not to worry…that is taken care of. Chelsea and Stephanie are back home now as Chelsea checks her messages. They see there is a picture attached and Chelsea opens it as she prays he isn’t a nerd, perv or old geezer. Stephanie exclaims “He is freaking gorgeous!”. Chelsea opens her eyes and says he is beyond gorgeous…she is in love. Stephanie says, yea, me too. (It looks like a picture of a model, lol).

In Northern Italy…John presses Marlena for her answer and she says yes, she will marry him, anywhere, anytime as he slips the ring on her finger. He has Father Dunalay step out (had him on standby just in case). They proceed with the vows as John talks about almost losing her before and how love has always brought them back together. He says that just as the sun rises and sets, their hearts will be one forever. The ceremony proceeds as we hear snippets of their vows and the mystery man watches from the shadows…and we see he has a gun tucked into his pants. They are pronounced husband and wife and share a kiss as the priest says they were way ahead of him. The mystery man steps out of the shadows and introduces himself as Enrico (or Rico to friends) and tells them he brings news from the house of DiMera. John explains that Tony is his half brother and Stefano is his step father. Rico tells him that Tony is in prison and Stefano is dead. But John says he doesn’t believe that…since he is the Pheonix. John tells him he thinks that someone in the DiMera organization is sending orders to EJ Wells in Salem. Rico claims he never heard of Wells. John tells him that Tony once showed them the remains of Stefano, but after DNA tests, it was proven it wasn’t him. Rico says he is buried in the family cemetery…he is wasting his time. For their safety, he suggests they leave Italy…tonight. Rico excuses himself and leaves, while wishing them a safe trip back to Salem. But John tells Marlena he believes Stefano sent the guy as a warning. Marlena has a bad feeling about all of this but John says he is going to finish what they came here for. Marlena says maybe Stefano IS dead and John says there is only one way to find out. Marlena asks what he is going to do and John says he is going to find out once and for all if Stefano is dead or alive. Marlena fears they are walking into a trap, but John is determined to dig up the grave and see for himself. Marlena asks, what if it is empty and he says then he forsees a family reunion in the very near future. Freeze frame on John and a worried Marlena…as the previews show…

Claire’s red-headed kidnapper: If I was running some sort of scam, I would have grabbed that reward money and run...(Bo, pulling a wad of cash out of her pocket): You got your payoff from somebody else, huh?...

Patrick: I just want to spend some time with you…is that too much to ask?...(Hope): It wouldn’t be if I was sure it was Bo that beat you up…

Nick: She will be so in love with me, she couldn’t possibly be upset…(Abby): Nick, were you raised in a test tube?...(Nick): No…

Kayla: I am fine…see…look at me…(Steve): But they want to kill us!...

The search continues for the missing baby, Claire; EJ tells Kate his real plans for Sami (unbelievable!) while John & Marlena have a romantic evening in Italy and Victor is revealed as having a hand in Claire’s disappearance.

IN NORTHERN ITALY, John & Marlena are in evening clothes, strolling amongst empty tables, covered with red & white checkered tablecloths, with white lighted trees surrounding them and the sounds of water trickling in a fountain in the background, while a concertina softly plays. Marlena is impressed with how romantic it all is. John takes off his tuxedo jacket, placing it on a bench for Marlena to sit on (no idea why they could not sit at one of the tables), then manages to find a bottle of her favorite vintage champayne right there. As he is opening the bottle, he tells her the story of 7 sisters, who had rejected every suitor who asked for their hand. Their father finally said, enough is enough, and told them they were each going to marry the next man who asked them, so they all came to the fountain, tossed in a coin while making a wish for the man of their dreams. Amazingly, before the day ended, each sister had found the perfect guy. They entwine their hands holding their glasses as they each sip from their glass. They talk about coming to Italy to look for the DiMeras, as John says he “put the word out on the street” when they arrived. He expects to be hearing from the Chief. Marlena says something about Tony in jail and Stefano dead, but John says, who knows, Stefano himself could show up. Later, we hear some different music, as Marlena notes that John has hired musicians. While they are dancing, he suddenly has a bouquet of white flowers for her, and then gets down on one knee, asking her to marry him right here, right now. Marlena is smiling, and seems to be saying yes……as the camera pulls away to show a man, smoking a cigarette and watching them from around a corner.

AT MYTHIC, Kate is arguing with EJ about him bringing Sami into the company, saying they do not need a bimbo to represent them. EJ agrees. Kate says he has been sniffing around Sami since he got to town, and asks what he really wants. EJ replies that he wants Sami to have his child! Kate is as disbelieving as all the viewers when EJ goes on about how important it is in the aristocracy (since when is he in the aristocracy?) to produce heirs for the future generations. He says Sami is exciting (you can see the green eyed monster arising in Kate), and perfect to continue the line. He claims the right woman for him is a Brady, and the right Brady woman is Sami, claiming it is very important in his family to produce an heir. (and if anyone believes this garbage, I have a bridge in Brooklyn you may want to buy).

AT SAMI’S APT. Lucas is watching TV, when soft jazz music begins to play and he wonders what the heck? Out strolls Sami in a black teddy, with a black boa around her neck. Lucas is startled, as Sami begins a rather seductive routine. However, Lucas will have none of that, being still upset about her taking the job with EJ. They argue, but Sami convinces Lucas it is all business with EJ for her, and then does her best to seduce Lucas. She succeeds only to well, as they roll off the sofa onto the floor, and decide to take it to the more comfortable bedroom. They are on their way, with Lucas carrying Sami, when her cell rings. She insists on answering…..and it is her dad. She has to rush out, something about Claire, and she is not sure what happened, will call him, as she throws on a few clothes and is out the door. Later, we see Lucas watching TV, obviously the movie “The GodFather”, as we hear screaming from the set, and Lucas mumbles something about it being just a horse’s head. LOL. Knock, knock, and Mama Kate is at the door, bursting with the news that EJ wants Sami to have his heir for him. Lucas bursts out laughing at how ridiculous it sounds (and yes it does, Days) and doesn’t believe her, but Kate assures him it is true.

AT THE DINER, Belle tearfully identifies the item found in the parking lot (too bad it was not the headband, lol) as Claire’s. Bo & Hope assure her that officers are out searching for that guy. Roman asks the waitress to give a description of the man to an officer on the phone. As she begins, in walks the man, she points and says there he is. Roman orders him to drop his gun, Bo grabs him and demands to know where the child is. Faraday protests that he didn’t do anything, only returned to try and help in the search. He said he was in his truck when he heard the Amber alert, realized it was the child he saw earlier, so went home, got his gun and returned to help in the search. He is told people do not bring guns to help search. He says he has 3 little girls of his own, and would never hurt a kid. Officers take him outside to check his story. The waitress says the only other customer was a red haired, middle aged woman, who paid in cash, so no name on a credit card for her. Roman tells Bo & Hope to take Belle home, but she won’t go. Victor stays with her, promising to offer a $50,000 reward. Bo & Hope comment how if this was a kidnapping, why no ransom demand. They leave to help search.

We now see the woman in her car, talking to Claire in the back seat, yep, still wearing that awful headband, poor kid, and munching on another cookie. The woman is glad the baby is so quiet. Later, we see her again, as her cell rings and she tells the person that yes, she knows what she is to do.
Meanwhile, Victor is staying with Belle, and promises to offer a $50,000 reward for the safe return of Claire. Belle gives him another pic of Claire to use on TV, and he goes outside to give it to Roman. Shawn comes in, and begins ranting at Belle as to how she could let this happen. She is crying as she tries to defend herself, and Sami rushes in, holding Belle and scolding Shawn. Bo & Hope go to see EJ, where Bo accuses him of taking Claire, but he has no idea what they are talking about. He offers to put up some money for ransom, but Bo assures him that Victor has that covered, and warns him that it is not wise to cross Victor Kiriakis. Bo tells EJ that he knows he & Patrick are behind all the black glove business and are targeting the Bradys, and that he will prove it eventually. They leave. Bo gets a call on cell, saying that Claire is safe. He & Hope argue a bit, as she tells him that he was wrong, and EJ had nothing to do with Claire’s disappearance. Bo is not convinced.

Back at the diner, Victor comes back in, telling Shawn he should stay with Belle, but Shawn knows Belle wants no part of him. Sami is comforting Belle, telling her how Will came home safely when he was kidnapped. She wants to call John & Marlena, but Belle says no. Shawn comes over and apologizes to Belle, who gets hysterical. Just then, the door opens and in comes Roman, carrying Claire, while 2 cops have the red haired woman in handcuffs. She claims that she left the diner, was driving her car when she heard a noise in the back seat, turned, and there was the baby. She remembered seeing her in the diner, so turned around and came back here. She wants the cuffs off. Roman tells the officers to take her outside, get her statement, and take off the cuffs. Bo & Hope had already returned, and everyone is happy that Claire is safe. Hope invites Belle to come and stay with them, rather than that big empty penthouse, and Belle accepts. Bo invites Shawn, but he declines, saying Belle would not want him there. He says goodbye to Claire, who waves bye bye, and says bye, bye, da da. (yes, that baby is absolutely adorable, as cute as can be.)

Kate returns to the Mythic offices, and admits to EJ that she told Lucas about his plans. He does not mind much, he likes a little sport. She tells him she doesn’t care what he does business wise, but do NOT mess with her family.

At Victor’s mansion, he opens the door to the red haired woman, who has a parka hood covering her head, to make sure no one saw her. Victor takes out an envelope of money, and she says she knows that she is to take the money, leave town and never return. She asks him what was the point of the whole thing, but Victor tells her it is not her concern. After she leaves, he goes to see his bandage wrapped son, Philip, telling him that this was the lst step in getting Claire away from Belle, to be finally with him.

Sami returns home, all ready to kiss Lucas again, but he will have no part of it. He finally tells her what Kate said about EJ’s plans for Sami. She does not believe it, thinks it funny and that Kate was just jealous, so EJ was playing with her head. She tries again to kiss Lucas, but he will have no part of it. He tells her he has already taken 6 cold showers, thank you, and is not in the mood for another.

Bo, Hope & Belle are leaving the diner. Belle has Claire, & will meet them at their house. She says she is glad this nightmare is over, as she takes Claire and leaves. Hope gathers the diaper bag stuff together as Bo says to her, “Is it over?” And the previews show……

Chelsea: God, I think I am in love.

Abby: The second Chelsea finds out who you are, you will be history
Nick: That’s just it. She Won’t find out. Not until it is really the right time.

COP SHOP
Bo tells Patrick not to expect him to grovel because he dropped the assault charges. Hope talks to him privately, not believing his attitude. Even though Roman returns saying he’s a free man, Bo crosses his arms and says forget it…let Patrick take him to court so he can prove he’s a lying SOB. Roman pulls baby brother in his office and lectures Bo to be grateful Hope got Patrick to drop the charges. Meanwhile Billie has it figured out that Hope had to make a deal to get Bo released and knows his other shady dealings would come out in court. Hope watches silently and mentions Billie’s being there and Billie tells her she came to bail Bo out as no one else was there to do it. She was too busy sucking up to Patrick when she should have been next to her husband’s side. Hope accuses Billie of sleeping with married men, Bo and Steve. Billie tells her she doesn’t know what she’s talking about and only Bo’s friend. Bo joins them and tells them he changed his mind and just wants to go home. Looking at Hope he asks if he still has a home to go to. He’s not asking for her forgiveness, but needs to know where he stands. Hope says he can come home and before stepping outside. Billie said she’ll drive Patrick home. Patrick goes to sign the official papers for Roman as Bo and Hope talk privately in Abe’s office. He shuts the door loudly and asks her what kind of a deal she made with Patrick for his release. Before they can talk much longer, an officer steps inside to tell them their granddaughter was just called in as missing.

LOCKHART HOME
Back home, Patrick warns Billie not to interfere again or she and her daughter will regret it.

MYTHIC COMMUNICATIONS
Sami doesn’t buy EJ’s ploy to get her to work for him, accusing him of trying to get her to work for him so she can prostitute herself like Kate is. EJ gives her a portfolio saying he bought up all the stock in Austin Reed Inc., and would make her a rich woman if she hangs in there another 6 months. He wants to make her a partner where she’d be 1/3 partner and Kate’s on board with the idea too. Mythic’s taken a beating and he needs her She makes it clear she’s only going to be a business partner, no sex involved. Meanwhile, Lucas arrived and chats with Kate in the outer room about what’s going on. Lucas walks in to hear Sami accepting EJ’s offer. EJ steps outside to make a drink at the bar in the reception area (?). Kate lets him know he hasn’t earned her trust and doesn’t agree with what he’s done. Sami tells Lucas about EJ’s offer to make her partner and holding the portfolio, said he bought up Austin Reed Inc. stock and would make her rich, all she has to do….and Lucas asks if she has to sleep with EJ…earning him a glare. She tells him that this is her chance to make something of her life for her and for her family. She bluntly asks him if he trusts her enough to let her do this. He tells her he trusts her, but not EJ. She levels with him that she’s only in it for the money and the challenge, not EJ. Getting respect means a lot to her and he knows that. He won’t stop her from going after her dreams but asks her to cut EJ off at the knees if he tries anything with her. She said her aim will be higher than that, LOL, and hugs him.

EJ tells Kate he knows what he’s doing. Sami and Lucas walk in as Kate tells EJ that Sami can be had cheaper. Sami says it didn’t take much to get Kate on her back (ouch). Kate tries to get Lucas to back her up on Sami not doing this, but he merely says Sami’s a grown woman and knows what she’s doing. They leave as Sami retorts to Kate that she and Kate now have equal power, but SHE didn’t have to sleep with the devil to get it (LOL).

VICTOR
Victor calls Belle and asks her (and Claire) to meet him at the Hudson Street Diner (oh yeah, Victor's favorite lunch place I'm sure) instead of his house. She agrees. Lucas arrives and Victor apologizes for interrupting his vacation (as Lucas remembers kissing Sami). Victor tells him that he’s going out of town for a while and asks if Lucas can run Titan in his absence. He’s going to Montreal for a week or two. Victor tells him his traveling companion is named Andrew Spivey and this trip must remain confidential. Philip listens in from the next room and Victor joins him and tells him as soon as they find a donor for the face transplant, he can begin his new life with Claire. He returns to Philip and said he’s on his way back to getting the surgery he needs and Claire.

MIMI and MAX
are flying to Atlanta. He asks why finding Philip is so important to her. She tells him she feels responsible for his leaving the way he did and then getting injured. She wants to be a better person and help people, saying she talked to Caroline (his mom) about this. She suggested that a good way to start is to tell the truth for a week. She feels other than conning her mom for the trip money, she’s doing okay. He asks her if she is trying to find Philip so he’ll reunite with Belle and she’ll get Shawn back. Testing her honesty promise, he asks if he heard her right when she left the room saying she loved him…she struggles and admits he heard right before dashing to the lavatory to get sick (sure is roomy on that plane). Mimi returns and apologizes, saying when she said I love you didn’t mean it the way he thought, she had just heard her mom say it to her brother. She asks if they’re still friends and he laughs, saying yes. (man, that is a QUIET as well as roomy plane).

They arrive at the VA hospital and learn from a couple of other patients that Andrew left a week ago and don’t know where he went. (cue shot of Philip looking at a rare picture of Claire without the headband). The hospital administrator joins them and said he was transferred out a few days ago, but can’t tell them where he went, it’s classified.

HUDSON STREET DINER
Belle and Claire (still wearing that stupid headband) arrive. Belle gets Claire in her high chair and tells the waitress that Claire has already eaten, but would like some milk as she hands the baby bottle to her. Belle orders a tuna plate and cup of hot tea (love how Belle removes tempting items like silverware, etc., from Claire’s grasp) and gives her a cookie. The lady at the next table (reading The Intruder with headline saying Amazing Baby) takes a glance. A man stops by to say hi to Claire as he leaves and the lady leaves as well. Victor calls on the diner’s phone and Belle steps to the counter after the waitress assures her Claire will be fine as she’ll only be a few feet away. Victor apologizes for running late and says he has a gift for Claire he wants to discuss with her…a trust fund for a quarter of a million dollars. Belle is now absorbed in the call and tells Victor it’s too much and he disagrees, saying it’s his first great granddaughter and wants to do it. She hangs up, saying they’ll talk about it when he gets there. She turns around and Claire is gone. Belle is freaking out as she and the waitress rush looking for Claire. Belle had run outside as well. The waitress calls 911. Roman arrives and asks what happened and will put out an Amber alert. He asks for a recent picture (that Belle takes out of her wallet and YES, she was wearing the stupid headband in it too) and tells him what Claire was wearing (she didn’t mention the headband, guess it’s a known fact, haha)….Roman steps out as Victor walks in (man, that was FAST) and hold Belle as she cries in his arms Belle’s crying as Victor tells her she’s not a terrible mother. Victor steps over to see the waitress when Bo and Hope arrive. Belle tells Hope it’s bad enough she lost her son, now she might lose her granddaughter again. Bo tells Belle they’ll find Claire. Hope comforts Belle who asks if her parents know. Belle tells her they’re in Italy. Hope suggests Belle tell Shawn, but Belle knows Shawn will blame her, and rightfully so, and wants to wait a while before doing that. Roman walks in with a ziplock bag holding something white and Bo gives it to Belle, saying they found it in the parking lot. Belle takes it and says it’s Claires (must be the headband…the kidnapper did us a favor by taking the darn thing off, LOL!!!)… Victor found out from the waitress that the man who stopped to talk to Claire paid by credit card and giving the credit card receipt to Roman, said what his name was. Roman thanks him, saying good work and goes to check it out. Victor comforts Belle as the previews roll..

EJ to Kate: My interest in Samantha is not entirely professional.
KATE: What do you want from her?
EJ: I want her to have my child.

SAMI ( hugging Belle) to SHAWN: Leave my sister alone. She’s scared to death about losing Claire.

HOPE to BO: Sometimes I have to admit that Bo Brady is wrong. I just don’t hold out much hope for our future.
BO: Looking confused…says What?

JOHN (kneeling in front of Marlena): Would you do me the very great honor of marrying me, right here, right now.

Summary: Hope makes a deal to get Bo out of jail…Mimi put the squeeze on Bonnie for money, so Bonnie shakes another money tree…Lucas and Sami’s romantic evening is interrupted by EJ, who makes her an offer.

At the Hospital…Patrick is still moaning about his money disappearing as Bonnie says whoever took his 3G’s probably already spent it (oops). He asks how she knows how much it was and she covers by saying he told her, even though he knows he didn’t and is sure she swiped it. She acts offended and leaves as Hope comes in. Hope asks him to drop the charges against Bo. In the hall, Bonnie is busy counting her money as Mimi comes up and puts the squeeze on her, wanting money for her trip to Atlanta. Bonne claims that she is broke, but Mimi isn’t buying it…and asks who she owes money to. Mimi says she knows Bonnie took Patrick’s money and she wants some of it as well. Bonnie tries to leave, but Mimi threatens to go squeal on her. Bonnie finally gives in and decides to share. Patrick can’t believe what he is hearing from Hope. She tells him that Bo says he didn’t beat Patrick but he swears that Bo did. Hope says that she has known Bo since she was a teenager and this is just not something that he wouldn’t do. Patrick asks if she is accusing him of lying. He throws up Billie in Hope’s face and tells her no, he isn’t going to drop the charges. They argue over it as Hope practically begs him…saying that the Bradys need Bo…especially Shawn and Caroline…they depend on him and they won’t be able to take it if Bo goes to prison. Patrick asks what about her…does she need Bo as well? In the hall, Mimi drools as Bonnie counts out money for her. She hands it over, saying that is enough to get her to Atlanta. Meems says on the bus maybe, but we are flying…and helps herself to some more. Bonnie is still swearing that she would never take “poor Patrick’s” money…but Mimi informs her that Patrick is involved in some kind of scam with EJ Wells and Shawn is involved as well. Mimi thinks that Bo had nothing to do with the beating, but Patrick used it to score points with Hope. She tells Bonnie she had better put a stop to whatever is going on before Patrick ends up 6 feet under. Patrick asks Hope if she and Bo are getting back together. She dances around the question, telling him that they have a history and have had children together and that she is invested in it. Patrick swears that he would never hurt her like Bo has. She begs him to drop the charges and he says he will…on one condition. He wants her to go away with him…as they had planned. She balks at the idea, but he badgers her and uses emotional blackmail on her. She finally gives in, but says it has to be HER terms, beginning with separate rooms.

At the Garage…Max is getting ready to leave as Abby mopes around asking him about changing his mind. She is sure that he is doing this for Mimi because he has feelings for her. She reminds him about the “I love you” Mimi uttered over the phone, but he claims they are just friends. Abby thinks that there is more to it and perhaps Mimi is so interested in finding Philip because if she brings him back to Salem, maybe this will give her another chance with Shawn. But Max doesn’t think that’s the case. Later, Mimi shows up with the money (telling them Patrick loaned it to her). Abby assures Max that she will handle the business while he’s gone and hopes he knows what he’s getting into.

At Sami’s…Lucas and Sami are on the sofa eating pizza, watching a movie (I assume it is either Pretty Woman or Runaway Bride, since they give shout-outs to Julia Roberts and Richard Gere). Sami is really into it but Lucas turns it of at her favorite part, saying it’s JUST A MOVIE. He would rather do other things, lol, as they start kissing. They get into it pretty hot and heavy, but Sami puts a stop to it, saying she wants to make sure and wait for the right moment…oh hell…maybe this IS the right moment. They throw caution to the wind and start back at it. They are ready to move things to the bedroom when the phone rings. Lucas wants her to ignore it, but she fears it may be Will. She answers it and to her surprise, it’s EJ. He informs her that when Mythic Communications bought out Reed and Company, that included her contract and that she is still on the payroll. He wants her to come down to his office. She refuses and he reminds her that she has been cashing the checks she has been getting, as she claims she thought that was severance. After she gets off the phone, Lucas tries to talk her out of it, but she says she has spent the money. Lucas tries to get her to call EJ back and tell him she quits…he makes enough money for all three of them. But she says she has to go talk to him face to face. Lucas says ok, but he is going with her. She tells him that she has to fight her own battles, even though Lucas thinks that EJ is still after her. He reminds her that she had the hots for EJ as well at one time. She laughs and tells him that she had the hots for BRAD PITT at one time as well…but she got over that too. She says that Lucas is the only one she wants…and she wants him more than anyone. Lucas is sure that EJ will try anything to split them up, but she says that EJ is just out of luck. She goes to get dressed and later comes back in a sexy red dress. Lucas says she can’t wear THAT, but she says she is just going to let him see what he isn’t getting. Lucas gets a call from Victor, wanting him to come over and they vow to take up where they left off when they get back.

At Mythic…EJ is telling Kate that they need to think about hiring a new representative since his image is tarnished. He suggests Sami, which sets Kate’s teeth on edge and she says over her dead body. She rants about Sami as EJ reminds her that Sami is already on the payroll since they acquired AR & Co. EJ points out that they can use her to promote their products to the “beer drinking, pizza eating race car loving” public and she is perfect for that. But Kate is adamant…NO, she is sure that EJ is just wanting to get Sami in bed. He claims this is just business and reminds her that he is the main stockholder in the company and outranks her…and if Samantha wants this job…then it is hers…as Kate huffs out the door.

Bonnie pays EJ a visit, saying she needs to talk to him and tells him about Patrick being beat up. He tries to play dumb, claiming he barely knows Patrick. But Bonnie lets him know that SHE knows better and knows that they are in cahootz and that Shawn Brady is getting rich being their human carrier pigeon. She subtly threatens to call the cops about all of the goings-on as they play a little game of cat and mouse. EJ sees he can’t lie his way out of it, so he pulls out a wad of cash (he sure seems to have a lot of those lying around) and hands it over to her, saying that they should be friends. She promises she won’t say a word to the police as she takes the money and leaves. After she is gone, his face drops and he says “damn you Patrick…you are more trouble than you are worth”.

Sami shows up at EJ’s office and tells him that he needs to find someone else…she will give the money back and effective immediately, she quits. He says that messes up everything…he was looking to make her a full partner with him and Kate…as Sami pauses when she hears that.

Bonnie meets with Lauren (the surrogate) on the docks and hands over the wad-o-cash. Lauren is impressed and wants more…keep it coming. Bonnie says she has shook every money tree she can find in Salem and that is it…no more. But Lauren tells her she had better keep the money coming…or she can kiss her “little gold mine” baby Kiriakis goodbye.

At the Cop Shop…Bo, Roman and Billie are in the office (Bo is free for the moment) as Bo is whining about how Hope has lost faith in him, thanks to Chelsea. Roman says he isn’t defending Chelsea, but it would help if Bo and Billie kept their clothes on when they are around each other (ROFLMAO!!!...go Roman). Roman goes to get Bo’s things as Bo and Billie talk. They cover a lot of subjects, like how Patrick is manipulating the situation to gain favor with Hope and Bo beats himself up over all of it. But Billie says she is just as much to blame and tells him that she told Hope that nothing happened. Bo says he can understand how Hope feels and says it’s all HIS fault. He says he is sure Hope must ask herself why he can’t keep it in his pants when he is around Billie. He says she has lost all faith in him. Billie says she feels guilty as well…they went to far, but they did stop before they crossed the line. But Bo says that Hope will just never understand. She reminds him that she and Bo do have a history together as well…and a daughter…and at one time they meant everything to each other. It is only natural for them to turn to each other for comfort. Bo says that is a habit they have to break. And Billie says that Hope has to break the habit of pretending that they never loved each other at one time. She says that they share a child…just as Hope and Patrick will now. Well, that starts Bo on a rampage about Patrick as Billie tells him to watch his mouth. Bo says well, if he is going to do the time, he would at least like to bash his face in. Roman comes back as Bo asks how things are going in the Wells investigation. Roman tells him not to worry about it…none of his business. He tells Bo he needs to stay out of trouble…go home and watch a movie. LOL as Bo asks if he should bake a batch of brownies as well. Billie also tells him to just stay out of it and if he doesn’t someone could end up dead. Roman tells him to just keep a low profile…this whole thing can be resolved. Borrow a page out of Ma’s book…have a little faith. Bo says he keeps telling Hope the same thing, but it doesn’t work…just as she and Patrick walk in. Stares all around. Patrick tells them that he isn’t going to press charges against Bo. Hope turns to Bo and says please, let it be over. Roman is happy over all this and goes to do the paperwork. Patrick offers the proverbial olive branch, and asks Bo if they can just put it all behind them. Bo tells him he doesn’t take handouts from dirt like him. Freeze frame on an angry Bo…as the previews show…

Sami (to Lucas): It just comes down to whether or not you trust me…do you?...

Victor (to Belle): What’s going on…why are the police here? (Belle): It’s Claire…she’s gone…she’s missing…someone took her…

Bo (to Hope): What kind of deal did you make with him to get him to drop the charges…what did you promise him?...

Patrick (to Billie): If you EVER cross me again…I will make sure you and your daughter regret it…

And the credits roll…
